Had to get transmission and transfer case repaired and replaced. They worked with the warranty company through the process and I am back on the road. Highly recommend.

I asked to have transmission fluid changed only. Shop decided to "do a diagnosis" by driving vehicle. I supplied them with the engine codes. Charged me fee for diagnostic and recommended rebuild.Waist of money, not even sure the transmission fluid was even chaged!! Exploring other options.

WILL LEAVE DEEP SCRATCHES FROM WHO KNOWS WHAT ON YOUR BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND DENIE IT AND TRY COVERING IT UP WITH SPRAY PAINT!!! I AM LIVID! WHO KNOWS IF THEY EVEN GAVE MY VEHICLE A TRANNY FLUSH!!! WILL NOT USE THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. NOW FOR A LAW SUIT AND MORE MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN!!!!

It wouldn't let me give a 0-star review or I'd have done so. First, I hate giving any bad reviews, I'd almost rather not give a review in general. However, the highway robbery going on here needs to be mentioned. I took my '12 Ram 1500 here because it was stuck in limp mode when driving. I figured they could replace the part for me far cheaper than a Dodge dealership would. I had already paid a $100 diagnostic fee elsewhere and asked them if they could replace the part. They said they'd have to charge a a diagnostic fee of $180+tax to look at it. They did explain that they open up my transmission, check it out and replace the fluid and filter and if I chose to have them repair it the fee would be deducted from the price. After a day they called me up and said " you need to have your whole transmission rebuilt and the pan replaced"...they quoted me at roughly 2900+tax!!! I took my vehicle back to Lochmandy Dodge where I had the initial diagnostic done by REAL Dodge mechanics and the told me that they just needed to replace the shift solenoid and the pan...everything else was fine. They quoted me $1800. They got my truck in 2 days later and the next day I got a call saying that it was ready. To my surprise, they said they had over quoted me so my bill was only $1450. My truck runs and drives like new again and a have a 2yr parts and labor guarantee!! Please, please, please...if you do take your vehicle to Fred's, make sure you get a second opinion!! By going to the Dodge dealership I saved half of what they were gonna charge me at Fred's plus I got my vehicle back a week sooner than I would've. Hope this saves someone a big hit on the wallet!!

Stay away! The transmission in my car went out so I dropped 3 grand to have it rebuilt. Never felt quite the same afterwards but I m a girl so no one listens to me. Well 899 miles after the warranty the transmission went out again only 6 months later, definitely wasn t done right if it went out that quick. Called to see if anything could be done and was told they would call back, no one did.

I brought my jeep in for a simple fluid change. I even brought in the exact type and amount of transmission fluid to put in it. I also brought my own filter and gasket. Even spent extra for a better quality gasket. When I picked up the jeep he tells me he used their gasket because its "better quality and doesn't leak." When I checked the fluid level it was almost a quart over. Clearly they used the trash oil from the 55 gallon drum that I specified I didnt want in my jeep. Otherwise it would have been spot on because I didnt give them enough to over fill it. So i just got my jeep back from the shop to fix the transmission leaks. Thinking it was something major. No, it was the better quality gasket they installed. Dont waste your time or money. These guys are crooks.

Honest transmission shop. Only fixes what is broken. Not the closest shopto my house, but worth the drive. I would recommend Fred's if you are having transmission issues.

Very informative and cordial. Mike is great guy to talk to at the counter. They were able to offer a few different options to fit our budget. Very recommended for transmission work.
