I woke up this morning and decided my trip from Tennessee wasn't exciting enough so I decided to lose my key in lake Michigan I called 3 places that popped up and 3rd time was a charm! Dave was professional and extremely helpful . He arrived an hour faster than the 2 previous places I called had estimated and took care of me and my baby as if it were his, from start to finish ! He even unlocked it for me and brought us both to the dealership! He made my very silly whoops feel like a walk in the park !!!! Hands down best service I've ever had from a tow company!!! And he has great taste in music

We look at the Bays family as family from Dave Sr. to Dave Jr. As We have known them for many years.Weve had service work done as well as towing and have always been very happy with how we've been treated and with the repairs we've had done there. Prices are always very fair and they don't tell you that you need all these extra things done just to make your bill higher. They are honest and fair and upfront always. The transition from Dave Sr. retiring and Dave Jr purchasing and running thing's has been pretty flawless.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Car towing, Tire change, Oil change

Dave took very good care of me and my car when it broke down near Michigan City. I definitely recommend his services. He fixed the car quickly and communicated throughout the process so I was aware of the repairs, cost and time. He also said he tows outside the normal range so I am keeping his card on file! Thumbs up.

I recently purchased a vehicle locally but live out of town and needed help picking up and storing the vehicle. Dave was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Picked up the vehicle, stored it for me and was very reasonable for pricing.

My alternator went out near Michigan city and Dave came out very quickly and dropped my car off at a mechanic s shop. Not only that, but he also dropped me off at a hotel afterwards. The next day was Saturday and all of the shops were busy or closed, so Dave opened up his shop for me and changed out my alternator. I can t thank him enough! Highly recommend

Not only did Dave go above and beyond on the Friday of the storm; I had to call him again on 1/26/24 for another issue. He was SO helpful and showed me a problem I had to address with my car quickly.Thank you to not only Dave but his staff who are so courteous. We cannot thank Dave and Karen enough for their expertise as well as exceptional service! Dave towed our daughter twice from I-94, Karen picked her up from the train station to take her to the gargage and the mechanics gave excellent advice on a nonfunctioning engine. We trusted Dave and staff and were rewarded with excellent customer service! I would highly recommend Dave's Garage and towing service!

ok so first my axel broke on a Friday night while door dashing and the tow truck driver took me to finish the order!!! how awesome was that!!! When it came to the repair they did an excellent job and came in a LOT less then I originally thought it would be. It was awesome to go to such and honest place with amazing staff!!! I'd give them 100 Stars if I could!!!!!

My husband and I were on a road trip hauling our RV when our truck broke down on the highway near Michigan City. It was late and AAA was a nightmare to deal with. We spoke to seven agents and they couldn t find our location, couldn t send a tow truck for several hours, and refused to tow our RV.My husband called DNA auto and they referred us to the best Dave s Garage. We called and within minutes, they let us know that Jeff was on the way to us. Jeff picked up our truck and took it to the auto shop so they could start the repairs. He even switched to a different truck so he could come back and tow our RV and take our large dog in the car with us. He was so nice and was a pro at managing a difficult driving situation with where the RV was stuck.We are so grateful. Highly recommend!Services: Special vehicle towing, Car towing

This is my GO TO TEAM. #1 car service. Manature Karen is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, The mechanics are great , best ever. They take the time to explain what's wrong, why, and do excellent work . Towing is fastand good. Prices are very fair . I would rate them a 10 , if I could. I Very highly recommend them 4 any kind of auto work. TAZ-MAN-TIM.

Car broke down two hours from home. Dave s Garage was the first shop in the area to give me a reasonable tow or service estimate. The driver who picked my friend and I up made sure we were warm while he loaded up, and when we got to the shop, they had someone drive us to and from Memo s up the road so we could get some breakfast. They also helped me get a part ordered through my warranty. They were so kind while we waited for a ride. Highly recommend

Our truck broke down 4hrs still from home to Toledo! Dave's Garage was there asap w such a kind driver! Made sure my mother and I were warm and safe! 4hr trip back home was so not even awkward he asked if we needed any breaks or snacks along the way even! Just made two scared woman on the hwy feel safe! Just 5 star service! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DAVES GARAGE!Services: Car towing, Long distance hauling

We lost a tire on highway 94. We called and they got here with constant updates and helped calm the 6 of us down. Really well done, changed our tire for $70 and on our way pretty fast. This place is good

Got a flat tire at 4am and out of the 15 or so local tow and mechanic services in the Porter county area only Dave s answered the phone. Dave showed up when he said he would, he fixed the tire in a timely fashion and was very polite and kind. Fair price too. I m keeping this shop s contact info for sure. Anyone in the area who needs a service should try them first.

They are absolutely amazing they are a life saver I was stuck good out on 20 and it was freezing below zero and they towed me down to family express so I could get back to LaPorte safely I d definitely use their service again in the future and I will be definitely going to their shop to buy some tires after this snowstorm passes! I broke down 2 miles from their shop. The police called them to get me towed from the turning lane I was broke down at to a truck stop 3 miles down the road. After they drop me off, I was handed a bill for 1,500 dollars. My heart sunk and and I was in complete disbelief I genuinely believed they had taken advantage of the situation. I been tow way longer than that and paid no more than 1000 dollars. This people are heartless and opportunistic.Service: Car towing

We got stranded on our way home to Colorado from Michigan. Not only was Dave so accommodating and helped us get to our hotel the shop was able to get the truck fixed by Monday at 11 am, we got stranded Saturday. The truck drives perfectly and we really couldn t of asked for a better place to take care of the truck

Blew my tire out on the highway and had my little boy with me, so I called for roadside service. I was told someone could get there in half hour to an hour, they got there in about 15 minutes. Met David, son of the owner who got my tire changed in about 5 minutes. He also let my boy look around the tow truck (he loves big trucks). He was super professional and nice. The price was not as high as I was worried about from previous breakdown experiences. A+ experience all around.

I want to thank Dave's Garage for helping get my grandson off 94 west a few nights ago They were very fast getting him off the road to their shop and helped get him tires so he could get on the way the next morning. Wow! Only way to describe it Car broke down on side of road. They came in about 40 min. Dave Jr. Was amazing. Tire shop was not open until morning. He drove me to hotel. I was picked up in the morning. Had car fixed ready to go! Tail light was out fixed it for free. Amazing everyone. Thanks Dave Jr. Hope I break down there again!

This is a place you can trust to treat you well! They made everything really easy for me, especially considering my car wasn't starting and I was stranded in a grocery store parking lot on Thanksgiving day.. definitely reccomend!
