Super nice people. Gave us different options to repair our exhaust and information to help us make a decision on how to move forward.***Had to stop in again today with my vehicle because of check engine light coming on. Another great experience. Wonderful employees. Very informative and clear about what needed to be done to take care of my car.

Excellent job!. Staff was great and the new muffler and pipe worked great! Not only was the price good (they recognized my military service with a discount) the install came out better than I could imagine. So quiet, like a new truck. The service advisor explained to me in detail what I needed and why. He also explained to me which part I needed to take care of first and what could wait. The receptionist, a young lady, I don't remember her name, encouraged me from the time I dropped off my car, until I picked it up, letting me know I was in good hands. I normally take my car to a regular dealership but, after the treatment, care and friendly service I received, I will be back. Thanks for fixing my white Lincoln truck on 10/29/23. I appreciate you guys so much and you all have gained a future client, plus my family and friends. Thanks so much again. I recommend this place to everyone. They're the best auto shop around in my opinion.

I have been coming here several years. Have tried other local body shops and experienced dishonesty (need expensive work done on car when not necessary). I have gotten all kinds of work done at Apex -routine oil changes, brakes, alternator, radiator and had great experience. Cindy at front desk is very kind, professional, efficient and accommodating. All the guys (Pete, Brian, Jon) are always polite, professional and explain things -letting you know what to expect (costs and time-frame of job). Many of the mechanics have YEARS of experience. They don't take appointments so patience is required. If you want affordability, efficiency and be able to trust you are in good hands, Apex is for you!

I took my car into ApexBecause my cruise control stopped working. They did a diagnosticAnd found out it was the rear speed sensor. They had it fixed within the day.I asked what their warranty was on my repair and it is one year labor and parts. I highly recommend them.

Me and my family have been bringing our automobiles to this place for decades and there's a reason why, you're not going to get this kind of service anywhere else. The prices are good, the mechanics have specialities in just about everything including European makes and are very knowledgeable, but best of all, the customer service you'll get here is superior. This is the best place in town for breaks. Everyone was friendly, looked for deals for me and when my husband's blood sugar started to crash, they gave us a ride home. Every time I've gone to them, they ve been patient, friendly, and honest. They ve walked me through a few different issues over the years, and each time, they explained what was crucial to fix, what could be left a bit longer, and what I could safely ignore. I m not even local, but I ve gotten in the habit of having them look at my vehicle s issues whenever I m in town. I recommend visiting this mechanic. My car broke down as I drove thru to Chicago and I towed to them. They were friendly and helped me out before the day ended so I could make home. I did wait a couple hrs because they were busy but it s expected when visiting a mechanic. Check them out.

Apex Auto is great. It has been years since I last was there because I decided to go green and haven't had a car for 6 years. But because of covid there are no taxis or Ubers and now with the 11th Street Station closed it's simply too hard to get around so I bought a car. Just like 10 years ago, they treat you like family. You know that what they're telling you is the truth. They only do the work that is required. They don't add on stuff that you don't need. They are friendly. They explain things. They bring you back and show you things on your car. I've always felt that I was in excellent hands at Apex. They get five stars from me!

Apex had taken care of my family for the last 15 years, and always has done a consistent job. We always appreciate their honesty and integrity! They always seem to sneak me in when I need them too even when problems and emergencies came out of nowhere. We moved to Porter county and still drive out to apex for repairs. Thank you for your years of quality service!

Friendly service!!! Peter was great. He explained everything he was going to do and told me what he would charge per hour. He kept the vehicle for a few days to replicate the electrical issue problem. He stated that the error message couldn't be duplicated. The diagnostic tests stated that there was not a problem. He did not charge me for any of his time used to work on the vehicle. I feel comfortable driving my car now. Thanks Apex Auto. I will use you again.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

If I could give Apex Auto Care in Michigan City 10 stars I've definitely would. Shout out to Pete and the crew for all they do I was shown exactly what was wrong and what the cost would be. I was not coerced or forced into buying unnecessary parts that I don't need right now. I use to take my vehicle to Apex in Michigan City always after my warranty was up at the dealership. I was always very pleased.I gladly spent 2400 dollars with them to fix several problems recently and have a year warranty on all the work. But a week later I had to take it back because the work that had been done boke. They gladly fixed it. Then I still had a noise underneath. Took it to them not once but the second time I had it towed in because the noise was so loud. They said nothing was wrong with it. So I continued to drive in and 2 weeks later I couldn't take the noise anymore. There was something wrong!! I had my sister take it to Apex in LaPorte after she dropped me off at the Doctor. The guy heard it and put it up on the rack and the rear differential and transfer case was broke!!! Unsafe to drive!And a 7 thousand dollar estimate to fix.Well my partner who was going to pay for it wanted a second opinion so i took it to Ford where I bought it in Michigan City.They were so much more thorough.Told my why my engine light was on.They are fixing it for 2500 dollars less!! And we added work to it like oil change... Trans flush..coolant flush.Omg. Never again will I take it back to Apex.I cannot get over the day I had it towed in and they told.me there was nothing wrong.I have a large family and none of them including myself will ever go to.Apex again. Pete is a fantastic guy to have work on your vehicle. Not only does he do good work, but he does honest work. If the most efficient way to fix your vehicle is not the most lucrative, he will give you his honest opinion and not try to gouge you. I go to Apex almost exclusively for my mechanical repairs.

All repair options were clearly explained to me. They are a first come first serve repair shop, so if you can leave your car with them, that's your best option. While you wait in the waiting room, you can watch Auto Net TV and learn about car maintenance. Both the person at the front desk and the mechanic (Brian) were very respectful.

Always a fair and competitive price. They are able to do more work than most because they have 2 locations and more garage bays. Highly recommended
