Took it in to qoute a leak and get a cost to fix.had to wait to get it done but now it's leaking profusely right after taking it to them. Seems snake if you ask me. Seems like they made it worse when I said I have to wait.it wasn't leaking this bad. Don't trust them.. he's saying he didnt charge me but i have the receipt being charged $85 for him to "look" at it. He knows what he did. Don't go here

Taken my truck there in the summer of 2022 had them put on the new cat that I already ordered and had them replace the muffler and pipe with it. Had an o2 sensor go bad and needed to replace in November of 2023 and found out that they welded the o2 sensor and it old insert from the old pipe to the new pipe so now I have to pay more for the damage they did to the new pipe because they couldn t bother telling me that I needed a new o2 sensor because it couldn t come off the old pipe. Paid 600 for the pipe and muffler replacement not including the cat. Thanks

Best Mechanic for miles. Very professional owner Paul. They back their work up and will fix the actual issues. Very fair in pricing and will get your car in and out promptly. I live 30 minutes away and my car broke down while shopping in Merrillville. USA Muffler was one of very few places open on Saturday. I called and they recommended an affordable and prompt tow company. They also had my car done within a couple days despite it being dropped off with no prior planning. My car hasn't driven this well in quite a long time! Very good experience!

USA Muffler has taken care of our vehicles for years. They have always treated us right and fair. I am so thankful to have them because they are honest! I will continue to go here to get my vehicles serviced.

The service! Fair pricing! Everything was done in the spirit of excellence! I came in late on one of our hottest days because my a/c had completely gone out. It was too late for them to service that day, so they drove me home. The next morning when they called, I asked if they could come and pick me up. They did, and picked me up in my own car so I could feel how great the air conditioning was working. It was even better than before! This is why USA Mufflers is my only go to place to work on my car!! Shout out to Ted and Brian! - William Bryan Thomas

My brakes failed last night. I nursed the car home & called the Merrillville USA Muffler & Brakes this morning. The squeezed me in for service & had my car repaired by noon. Service was courteous and professional. Price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for all of your vehicle needs!

Excellent service, fair pricing and professional, quality work!!I had a great first experience at USA Muffler & Brakes in Merrillville. I didn't have a go-to spot for car maintenance, and have been hoping to find one.I needed to get my brakes and rotors changed, and they were able to get us in right away when I called on a Saturday afternoon. They took the tires off and looked around before giving us a quote. At first I had sticker shock, but the service man explained and broke down all the components of the pricing, including the warranties on the parts. He was very transparent and patient and advised that I can call or come in any time if I had any concerns.It's been over a month since my car was serviced and my boyfriend and I can tell they did an exceptional, quality job. So far I can say that I will loyally be having my car serviced at USA Muffler & Brakes.

This is a team of honest professionals!!! I was there for an hour and seen t we o people over okay and thank Paul for all the help that he does!! One guy gave him an extra 70$ to go out to eat with his family with! This place is honest and really helpful. I'm an educated mechanic and they represent the right way!! I'm not an Mechanic and they do what I can't for less then anyone else!!!!

We moved to Indiana a year ago and are very satisfied with the work Paul and his mechanics have provided. I am a backyard garage mechanic for over 30yrs and decided I'm done crawling around fixing vehicles, so I'm really glad I found the honesty and trust in Paul's shop.

Paul was nothing short of amazing. I seen him give a young lady a break on getting a tire change out and wanted to make sure that doesn't get unnoticed, it's nice to see that type of gesture. I brought 4 new tires and brake pads to them and they got me out within an hour. Will definitely do business again.

These guys are super, especially Paul the "counter" guy very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust for my 07 Solstice and they did it in no time. Even put a new battery while I was there (it was the original!)Great friendly service.

My husband and I have had work done here on occasion and it's always been done well. Today, I was on lunch break and had to deal with an exhaust bracket that came loose. Asked if they could repair it on my limited time. Had me in and out within minutes and the price was very reasonable! Need some maintenance done very soon so I will be back here again! Thanks guys!

Paul was professional and honest. I brought my 2010 Mercedes Benz E350 4matic in for a tune up and cylinder misfire due to check engine light on. He called right away to get Mercedes Benz parts to ensure superior quality and was able to perform my tune up in less than 2 hours. My car is running like new again. Great customer service. I would recommend this business.

These guys are amazing. Truly! I went to the Nissan dealership to get a quote for my brakes and struts, and I regret it. They quoted me DOUBLE what I ended up paying at the USA Muffler and Brakes. Walking in as a single lady into a car shop, you expect they will kind of write you off. The men were very kind, even showing me exactly what was wrong on my car. They explained the mechanism of why my brakes and struts were breaking down, what else it was doing to my car, etc and didnt act like I was dumb. The service is great and they truly give you the best price in the Region for car repairs.

Moved here a year ago and needed a local mechanic I could trust and depend on. I walked in and said just that. Met owner, super nice and down to earth guy. Been there several times since and always good price and great work done in a very timely manner.

Extremely helpful, courteous & only does what is needed. I literally went to 8 other places, including other USA Muffler shops, was quoted prices from $250 all the way up to $475 (Car-X was most expensive) for catalytic converter. I paid less than $200 at USA Muffler on Taft & 30 in Merrillville. This is the best & most honest place I've ever been to get my vehicles worked on!!!

This place was very helpful. I came in with an unexplained knocking noise on the front end. They put the truck on the lift and did a visual inspection and found axle grease all over the place. So I decided to replace an axle shaft another day. He didn't charge me look at it and at that point didn't have a guarantee that if be back. When I called to schedule it I said I'd have to wait until the next week since thats when i could get a ride to leave it. He offered to take me to work and pick me up when it was done. I ended up only needed to be picked up when it was done but was true to his word and one of the shop guys came and picked me up. I ended up having replace a wheel bearing while he had it up and brought him one I got at a parts store and he only charged me half hr labor. I feel like these guys were fair priced, did it quickly and went a little beyond to help me out. I wohld reccomend.

Staff is very HONEST, helpful and professional! I took my suv to them because of increasing noise, they found a minor leak causing the problem, pointed it out to me and fixed it free of charge. They are a rare find a pleasant surprise in today s market place !!!!!!Mike Stavitzke

My vehicle(2015 Ford Explorer) needed a tune upThey're good ppl however, my vehicle shakes more than ever. They said it heeded motor mounts. I don't think so.

I've been here a few time to get my car fixed for varies things and they always treat me with respect, the work is top notch and I have never had any issues with the repair or the people that work there, I always recommend this place to my friends and family
