My son s car was towed there late on a Sunday night after breaking down on the highway. We don t live in the area so we are not able to handle the issues directly. Becky was a great help over the phone. They promptly looked at the issue and assisted getting it over to a dealer for repairs. Thank you!

Great overall experience. The lady at the front desk made sure all 4 tires I needed were in stock and made sure everything went smoothly. I was told vehicle would be done by a certain time and it was indeed finished when promised. She knew I had a busy schedule and went out of her way and called me multiple times to make sure I was on my way so that I wouldn t have to sit outside and wait while they closed for lunch.

I had a scheduled appointment @10am today. I was told they no longer do wheel alignments. The lady working the desk is completely rude and unprofessional. This isn't the first time I had a bad experience with her. I'm completely upset because I always took my vehicles here for service here and now I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I had to get a battery replaced in my Chevy Equinox and the price was decent. They got me in the same day I called and it didn't take long. The gentleman that worked on my car was kinda enough to pull it up by the door. That made life so much easier with a small child and the terrible snowy weather we had.

By far the WORST oil change experience I have had. I booked online through CarAdvise for 10am. Get there at 9:45am, walk in the lady was extremely rude on the phone to someone. I tell her I have an appointment booked. She grabs a clipboard with paperwork on it. She asks me how many cyclinders, I say I believe 4. She sighs and rolls her eyes. The other guest sitting there even made a comment about that. My 20 minutes oil change last over an hour and a half. At 10:45 she apologizes for the long wait because they are waiting on my oil filter to be delivered .an hour after I arrived. I asked why I am just now being informed of this. She says we had to wait for you approved it I received the text from CarAdvise at 9:58 and the confirmation of payment text from me approving at 9:59 . I told her to forget it because of I have other appointments. She basically said I couldn t. The part didn t arrive until 11:04 .it is now 11:18 and I am still waiting on my car I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY CUSTOMER HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE. There was another customer here with a damaged rim. He left to get a new one came back .it was the wrong size .went to get a new one, came back and his rim was changed before 11am. I have not been offered any type of discount .or anything for this inconvenience. Almost $100 for an oil change. I could have went to auto zone, got the oil came back home, watched a YouTube video how to change the oil in my car with the time they took to change my oil.

Arrived 30 minutes before closing, walked in the shop and the lady there asked can she help. I explained my wife's check engine light came on, she said, we're closing. I asked if I could leave and have someone look at. She said the guy that does that is off on Monday so it won't be until Tuesday. Her attitude was the change my mind. Will never use this pep boys ever. ATTITUDE MAKES IT ALL, OR LOSES IT ALL.

It was easy to set appointment on line- dropped off car at scheduled time for 4 new tires . An hour and a half later received call it was ready for pick up. Very Satisfied

I will definitely be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau on this Pep boys in Merrillville in !!! so I took my daughters car in to get a engine diagnostics which they told me it was $99 and then also to check to see what other things were going on with the car. They called me a few hours later to tell me that the belt is shredded and pads, rotors, brakes,on the rear tires need to be fixed. They gave me a whopping price of $1980.00. I advised him that that price was kind of pricey, and I would check around at other places. Then they advised me that they had removed the belt off of the car and that the car no longer ran !!!! I never authorized them to do any work on the car or take anything off of the car!!! then I advised him that I drove the car in there and I should be able to drive the car out without a problem. I didn't authorize them to do any work or take anything off the car. The lady at the desk and then the mechanic when I arrived to pick up the car advised me that they would have to jump the car because the belt was no longer on it and they could not put it back on !!!!this place is a scam, will definitely never take my car to this location again. Then I drove my car off the lot in which it stopped, Five minutes later and had to have it towed to another shop!!! My car wasn't having any issues with stopping before but now because of the belt being removed , it won't run!!!!Took it to another shop and they advised me to get the belt replacement and Everything I need for my car to be running well was $188 with labor!!!! told me the brakes and pads and rotors were not bad at all and that she could get them replaced overtime. Shame on you pep boys!!! Worst shop ever ...Their mechanic not even trained enough to look at a car and tell you what the issues are without taking parts off!!! In 25 years I have never worked with a shop that tried to force u to get the work done with them!! Don't recommend.... run, you will regret it!

Nothing bad to say, I was really happy with the whole costumer service experience very knowledgeable and experienced service. Also the manager Rebecca is a delightful and kind person with good conversation if U choose to wait for your vehicle to get repaired, so if U want honest and trustworthy service for your car or cars take it to pep boys where U won t be disappointed thank U again to the pep boys team in merrillville Indiana on Route 30, sincerely Orlando Delgado se U soon.

Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. I had two tires replaced and they answered questions I didn't even know I had. The lady at the desk was incredibly helpful and the mechanic made sure everything was buttoned up and perfect before he finished. I'll definitely be going there for all of my tire needs.

Waited 2+Hours for a pre scheduled appointment for a front end alignment, just to be told their equipment was broke down - Not Happy. Pep Boys....you lost $150 in service revenue and a Return Customer. This review is intended as an advisory for potential Customers looking for Service results for your time and money.

The service was friendly and we were able to get our tire fixed right away. There was a waiting area with coffee and television available. The only problem was the tire pressure was left lower than the other tires but not a big deal. The price for the tire repair was very reasonable.

Opened the hood three days after an oil done at pep boys to change the air filter and I find the dip stick just thrown in a random spot of the engine bay. If they can't do an oil change how can you trust them with anything else.

Haily had excellent customer service in helping me when I first brought my car in, calling me to let me know the information about my car, and then calling to let me know when my car was ready. She was very friendly and helpful.Mike worked on my car and provided excellent service to me. I was satisfied with the service that I received as well as with the work that was done.

They were very friendly and nice to my cat Mr. Mumbles. I know I'm not supposed to bring him in everywhere but he won't let me put him down. Anyways I got a new tire for my ex husband's car for less than 60 bucks online and picked it up here and they even put it in my car for me. Highly recommend

To be honest I don't think this store deserve 1 star. I have tried 3 times to get a brake service, since the brakes on my Passat have never been right since a different Pep Boys store replaced them.Firstly I had my appointment canceled same day due to lack of mechanics available. Then my second appointment was canceled 5mins before the appointment time, as I was driving into the parking lot. Thirdly I returned the call and was told that "we won't be doing any brake services any time soon" due to the brakes mechanic leaving the company. Can't say that I blame him.The customer service and telephone manner was nothing short of appalling in all cases, a complete lack of empathy and not even an apology from the store for consistently canceling my appointments.I wouldn't recommend using this store for anything.

I want to thank Becky and the professional staff at Pep Boys for taking excellent care of my 2005 4.4i Bmw x5. Becky is very well versed in all things automotive and is a definite asset to your company.She deserves a raise.

I wish I could leave more stars!Becky the manager was incredibly helpful working through and ultimately resolving a challenging situation with getting tires installed. She couldn't have been more helpful and professional! I am grateful beyond measure for all of her help!!

If I could leave a negative star review I would! I visited this location in February 2022, I had no services done due to the unprofessionalism displayed by the woman who claimed to be the store manager. When I first arrived she was out side smoking a vape, when I approached her, she CONTINUED smoking her vape blowing the smoke in my direction. She also was very arrogant in the way she was speaking to me. I could not believe she was the store manager, I chose to NOT have my vehicle serviced at this location due to her. In addition there was a young man who looked to be a mechanic, he came out to ask her a question while I was there and she was very rude speaking to him. She then tried to joke with me about men not listening, I m not interested in hearing about the bashing of men or women, I just wanted to get a price on getting my vehicle repaired. She did not seem interested in going inside to give me a quote on anything and just spat out numbers she thought would be in the range of my final price. I will be letting all my friends and family know to avoid this place, I wouldn t trust her to oversee the repairs done on my grandsons power wheel car.Very disappointing visit, I have came here three times before and dealt with a shorter man with glasses who was very nice, this store is now under new and dissatisfying management it s just a shame!! On the hunt for a new shop.

The staff is AMAZING!!! With everyone taking appointments only, forgetting the fact that accidents arise, I m glad that I ended up at Pep boys!I got a flat tire on my way to work, obviously not planned. All of the surrounding businesses were very rude. Pep boys helped me the best way they could and changed my tires for me!Because of this amazing service I made an appointment for new tires and possibly an alignment. Thank you to the front desk and the guy who took care of my vehicle and made sure I was safe before I got back on the road!THANK YOU PEP BOYS!!!

Haliy and her Service Technicians had great personalities and showed very good customer service skills also they were fast and efficient........She was able to squeeze me in right before they closed to plug my tire. I will definitely be back if I have any other problems with my car.

The people who took care of me were amazing!! My car drives like I drove it off the lot again. Michael and Haily were super nice and they actually talked to me and gave me the best advice. Explained everything in full detail.
