Let me start by saying, Excellent Shop! I'm not a big shop guy, but when I need a job done correctly with a great warranty, they are definitely where I go. Frank is one of the biggest reasons that I use M&M. The candor, gentle nature and honesty is why I consider using them above any other shop in the area. If you are looking for fair shop prices, good communication, capable and competent mechanics, good finance options, then look no further. This is the place I will go to for my family's auto needs!ps-no, they did not pay me to write this nor am I a bot.

I ve been with m&m car care for a while and i bought an 01 Honda Civic beginning of the year that was in pretty bad shape as a work car. Frank, Dave, and their foreman mechanic helped out so much with repairing, restoring, and getting it in great running condition. They helped me out with pricing a lot and they wouldn t rest until made sure all issues with the car was solved. They called me periodically to keep me updated on how the car was coming along and their foreman mechanic went above and beyond coming in early a few days to work on it all day. I am very thankful for them all! Would definitely recommend to anyone to take their cars over here!

M and M Car Care was phenomenal. I'd taken my car in to the dealership for a simple repair, and while I was there, they told me that (in addition to the simple repair) I had an oil leak that would take upwards of $3k and an undetermined amount of time to fix. I came here for a second opinion, and immediately had a better experience. Their diagnosis of the problem was prompt, and they found that the oil leak was in a totally different area than where the dealer quoted me. They explained the issue clearly, and detailed how long the repair would take, and exactly what they'd charge me for. At 170k miles, they recommended a few common sense services for real issues (new sparkplugs, a brake fluid flush, etc), but did not pressure me into them by any means. I approved the repairs, and they were completely promptly, at less than half the price the dealership quoted me.This is the first car repair business where I feel I haven't been taken advantage of as a young woman who, admittedly, doesn't have much expertise in cars. I feel I was treated fairly, like any other customer who came in.They were honest, respectful, and efficient. I will absolutely return and I will recommend this place to others, especially my female friends who have also had issues with other car repair businesses.

M&M Car Care has become my go-to place for regular maintenance on my vehicle. They are knowledgeable and competent and always exceed my expectations. They don't push unnecessary services on you (this has been my experience with most other places) and are a pleasure to do business with. I would highly recommend this family owned business to anyone. Thorough service and transparent. Had my brakes, valve cover, and thermostat repaired it only took a few days and much cheaper than the dealer! A couple of weeks after my car was leaking oil and gave me a notification to add oil. I called and they took me the next morning. I am not being charged for replacement of parts or labor. Highly recommend. Thank you M&M!

I chose M&M because they are a family owned business with outstanding reviews.Well, now I get a chance to write one of those 5 stars reviews.My car was experiencing some intermittent mechanical issues.I spent some time in the lobby over the course of a few days.I observed several things: Everyone that walks in is greeted with genuine kindness This place is spotless. The parking lot, lobby, and back of the shop. The technicians are efficient and professional. This shop operates as a team. The turnaround time is very reasonable on the repair work and repair costs are extremely reasonable for the service that is provided.A special thanks to Dave and Ian who went out of their way to educate me, not just hear me, but listen, kept me updated on the diagnosis , and treated me with understanding, respect and compassion.To the Owner, thank you for employing people like Dave and Ian. You have a loyal customer for life.I can't imagine I would've received half of the customer service or knowledge anywhere else.Thank You.

My family has been bringing our cars to the M&M Team for over a decade! I can't recommend this place enough; they are truly dedicated to their job and their customers. Have recommended people here who have had poor experiences at other locations before, and now continue to come back with their vehicles! Besides being EXTREMELY quick and efficient, M&M has always worked to give a good price! They have always taken the time to answer any of my questions and patiently explain things when needed. Even their follow-ups with me after any service show just how much pride they take in their work! They simply have gone above and beyond any other shops I have ever been to/dealt with! Thank you DAVE for all your support and help!!! I TRULY appreciate it! And if you come, be sure to ask for IAN- he is the absolute BEST!!! Once again, thanks M&M Team for everything; you guys are AMAZING- as always!

Calvin, Frank and Dave are great guys! When you speak with them, they are very informative, friendly, and understanding. I took my Jeep to them yesterday (my first time there) and the welcomed feeling was so amazing that I felt like I knew these guys for years. They got my Jeep fixed the same day and I learned more about my vehicle because of how informed they are. They have now made a new customer out of me. They will now be my shop for automotive needs. I highly recommend. Thank you M&M

This was my first time bringing my car here and I can honestly say, the customer service was great. They even offered me a ride to where I was going, while my car was being serviced. Jeff, was nice to work with and explained what was wrong with my car and I was able to get it fixed at a reasonable price. My car is driving smoothly again. Definitely recommend this place and will be back again, for future service.

First time experience with M&M and had great customer service from start to finish. Newer to the area and was recommended M&M. Expressed a potential issue with my breaks and directed me to an easy way to get both an oil change (which I was due for) and break inspection to see what was going on. Easy to schedule my appt, drop off my car, and quick to troubleshoot the morning of. Upon pick up I was also greeted with friendly smiles and service. I will definitely return!

Used a great deal I found on Facebook. Scheduled through their site, which was easy. After the oil change was complete, the guy working the counter was very informative on things I didn t know about my car. I would definitely use them again.

I had a great experience with M&M Car Care in Merrillville. After being disappointed with my regular shop and still needing about $4,000 worth of work on my engine and suspension, I decided to take a chance on a new place to me, after receiving several ads for M&M in the mail.From the first time that I called, I received friendly service and sympathy relating to my bad luck with how often I had to fix my car.(It felt like I I kept throwing good money after bad. Every time I spent a couple grand, a new problem would present itself. Also, no matter what i got fixed, my car kept overheating and having full meltdowns a couple times a year!)After I explained everything that I knew what was wrong with my car and expressed to Frank that I just want all of the problems fixed once and for all, he took great care of my car and I. He put his head mechanic with the most experience in his shop (I think his name was Dave, but I could be wrong) on the job. They worked quickly to diagnose the problems and put together a very detailed quote. Had no problem sending an interactive quote directly to my phone, in which I could approve or disapprove each section of work.Frank called me about the same time and thoroughly explained what was on the quote, why it needed to be done, how severe the damage was, how urgent each repair was needed, and the exact dollar amount of each job as well as the total amount due at the end.My car was fixed quickly. The price was reasonable and satisfactory.The lobby was clean, spacious, and comfortable, although I didn't spend much time in there.My whole experience from beginning to end was pleasant and I truly felt taken care of. Everyone there must love their job and was trained well, because it shows in every interaction that I had with them. Thank you, and keep up the great work! I will recommend M&M to everyone I know that has car problems from now on.-David DeVriesP.S.- I forgot to mention the icing in the cake: they warranty their work36,000 miles or 3 years!How's that for peace of mind? Nobody else in the business comes close.

Everyone working there are so friendly and accomodating. They are professional and know their stuff. Jeff set me up well with an oil change and headlight bulb replacement. Jeff gave me good advice on my car and an upgrade for my headlight bulbs without my asking! I am really thankful for Jeff and the mechanics for getting my car in shape. I definitely recommend M&M Car Care Center Merrillville for getting repairs and maintenance on your car. They have really good specials on their services too! You can count on a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly staff to assist with your needs.

Excellent establishment, people working there are professional and seem happy to be there, they also take pride in their work. During my last visit older clients stopped by with vipers problem, person working there simply replaced the blade and all was done, no charge, just human courtesy, it was great to see. Their prices are also very competitive, highly recommend!

Rebuilt my entire engine, it took a while but it got done literally 1 day before my step mother s funeral. Total cost was $7000-$8000. I only paid $500-$600. Dave was sufficient & precise with communication and accuracy. I recommend EVERYONE!! With any car problems to go here. Great customer service

My husband and I are very pleased with the great service we received! We thought it was my wheel baring making the noise but it turned out to be my transmission. Way more money then we wanted to spend but if we had to do it, I m happy we did it here! Excellent and honest people for sure!

I would give this location 0 stars if possible. The sales manager Dave is an absolute crook. They tried charging me 554.65 for a transmission mount that was 360.00 at the dealer amongst other things that weren t even needed to fix my vehicle. This location is the only one that will not allow you to bring your own parts (even though they allowed it literally a few weeks ago).Volkswagen secondary air injection pump mount insulators are listed in the picture says 3 for 149.46 and at the dealer they re 15 dollars a piece. Not to mention the pump even comes with mount insulators already. Only take your car here if you want to be overcharged for parts and robbed blind.

I ve been a customer at M&M in Merrillville for a few years now and I have always had a great experience. My mom and daughter also take their cars to M&M. They explain everything in detail and they are honest about the work that needs to done. I never felt like they were wanting to work on something that wasn t relevant to the issue I was having. I would highly recommend.

Last Friday night I broke a ball joint (with other damage) and my wheel came off. I had my vehicle towed to MM Care Care Center in Schererville. They're Closed Saturday and Sunday. I went to their website and booked the next available appointment which was for the following Thursday thinking I would be without my vehicle for a week. I was surprised when they called me 8am Monday morning when they opened and said they would try and have me out today. They called me 6 hours later and said it was ready. The cost was even lower then I had expected. I'm very grateful for their exceptional customer service and a great tech team. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I am an original customer at the Schererville location and I ve had nothing but great experiences in the past. My car broke down near my work in Merriville so I had to get it towed to this location. It was effortless, and in no time my car was fixed. I was able to pick it up the very next day on my way to work. I was able to pick it up at a very affordable price and more importantly, as a 30 year old single woman I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle with them and feel they are 100% trustworthy. I can t rave enough about the owners the employees and my overall experience here. I will (unfortunately) be back to do service with them again

They ll do your oil for cheap and have some good specials for specific tasks. But they charge quite a bit for services that in all honesty are way over priced. I think one time they tried charging me 450 to change the front brake pads of my car. I spent 50 dollars for parts and took me a half an hour to change them. For one they're not bad people but they do upcharge alot for their work. They won't do anything without your permission but I also specify that when I call them, do no more than I ask to be done.So if you see a special of theirs or need a oil change go for it. If you need something something fix be ready to pay a hefty price or have them print out of a list of the tasks that need to be done and do them yourself or find a place or mechanic that'll do it.

Very friendly and attentive service. I had to drop my car off on a Sunday, and received a call the next morning with information and diagnosis on my vehicle. They were honest with their recommendations and completed the work in 1 day!

I have a 2015 Mercedes Benz Each time I take my car here for a simple oil change I leave with a worse problem. This time I drove my car there for a oil change and now I have a 1800 dollar alternator problem and I can't drive it now.. it need to be towed.. I'm so upset for I live in Indiana but I work in Chicago.. I do not recommend this place to no oneReplyI never said my engine was making noise.. I said" something was rattling". After you finished my oil change you told me the noise I was hearing was my alternator. Yes, I drove my car away, however, it was losing pressure and extremely loud after leaving the shop and now it needs to be towed for it was no longer drivable. My car was rattling but it was driving great when I brought it In for an oil change .
