The team was fantastic. They not only listened to my concerns but understood them as well. Very knowledgeable and thorough. They were even willing to stay late to help get me back on the road (this was not needed but I appreciated the offer). I cannot recommend the team in Merrillville enough! Fantastic.

Merrillville IN Firestone is hands down the best. They went the extra mile with installing new tires and a redo on a week old alignment that made my alignment even better. Then on a return visit went the extra mile again on a leaking tire. Jennifer the manager was great and very knowledgeable.

Joel and Jenifer are great service advisors. Always honest and nice when recommending needed repairs for my vehicles. Prices are a little higher for certain services but you get what you pay for. A peace of mind knowing they are done the correct way.

I had a small leak in my tire, I took it in to get looked at. After I dropped off my car I waited in the waiting room. I remembered about my wheel lock, when I told one of the guys he seemed like I was bothering him. I thought it would be easier. Horrible attitude, like I would want to come back here for tires or anything else?

2nd time coming here and each time the workers at Firestone were helpful, and gave me a breakdown of what was fixed and what is recommended. They are friendly and when I had questions they were eager to answer. Will come again when I need to service my car in the future!

My daughter was passing through on the freeway on her way home from college. She had a wiper blade that wanted to take flight off the windshield during constant rain. I looked for a place near her and found this Firestone. Jennifer answered and was SO incredibly pleasant. She stated she was with a guest and if I could hold- in the nicest way possible. I have been on the service side of the car business for nearly 30 years; service advisor, service manager and trainer for fixed ops (parts, service, body shops) for a large dealer group. This is EXACTLY how I train advisors to answer when they re busy. The service and comfort she gave over a simple phone call was immeasurable. I just wanted her to get home so I could take care of it at one of my stores tomorrow until I spoke to Jennifer, then I knew it would be ok. $32 later she s back on the road in minutes. Thanks everyone! I am a mom first, and you made my girl feel safe there.

Was told when I went in for an oil change it would be about a 2.5 hour wait, there were 4 cars ahead of me, I understand.. I had no choice. 2.5 hours in car is still outside. I asked how much longer. The guy said there were still 2 cars ahead of me. Yet, there were people coming in off the street and they had their cars done and out the door in maybe an hour. Someone walked in the same time as me, she was picked up, her car was finished and she returned and was on her way in maybe an hour and a half. Is it because there isnt much money in an oil change? Would have made an appt but it is hard to plan due to my job, I was trying to squeeze it in. .Well that was a mistake. I went somewhere else and I was done in 45 minutes.

This would be a 10 rating for my experience yesterday 01-28-24. But on today 1-29-24 I made an appointment for 12pm today I got there 2 hr early just to be told I shouldn t make appointments online to call the store and they want be honoring my appointment for my lifetime alinement they want get to my car till tomorrow! What the point of even getting the lifetime if you can t even have your appointment honor to have it done? I ve been going to Firestone for over 15years now I m thinking about closing my Firestone credit card and taking both of my car elsewhere!!!!

Joel was friendly and helpful that's why I gave 2 Stars!! What upset me was I went in for a flat repair! Joel showed me the nail. I ended up replacing 1 tire and 1 tire being repaired. The nail Joel showed me was never repaired my tire light came on within 5 minutes after leaving. They were busy so I didn't complain because they squeezed me in. I explained I had a 3 hour trip. Thank God, I made it safely I parked my car and returned to a flat tire within 1:30. No facility was open to repair my tire!! I was concerned because I just paid for the repair. Was the tire ever checked thoroughly? Then I returned there Monday morning and the customer service rep was nonchalant regarding the issue. That's just poor customer service. I went to another Firestone and they showed me the same nail I was showed Saturday. The customer service was 100% better and my issue was resolved.

Joel is the best in the business. His customer service is unmatched. He handled an office full of people while maintaining transparency with people calling in as well. Went here for a wheel alignment due to an off center steering wheel and pull to the right. I myself am a mechanic at an undisclosed shop but unfortunately we do not own an alignment machine. When they took my vehicle back they called me up and said that my lower control arm ball joints and bushings were horrible and have over an inch play on one side and almost the same in the other. Doing an alignment is pointless without getting the repairs first. If they do the alignment it will almost immediately go right back it if alignment due to bad ball joints. I told them just please proceed with the alignment. The vehicle has held the alignment great. I am completely beside myself with the bushing ball joint claims being that I replaced the lower control arms inner and outer tie rods, all ball joints and bushings less than 3 days ago which of course calls for an alignment after those replacements. I heard them tell every customer that came in they had something wrong that needed fixes asap. This place is the perfect example of shops lying on order to up sell stuff that is not needed whatsoever. I mean I'd be surprised if they actually would have replaced my parts being that they were brand new. I wouldn't want to think they would charge for services not rendered. We were traveling through the area and our brakes started acting up and our check engine light came on. On Saturday night when we pulled into town, I went online to schedule an appointment for noon on Sunday. At 8:10 Sunday morning, when they opened, I got a call saying Sunday is first-come-first-serve and the only day they don t do appointments. We ran our truck over there are they were exceptional! They called me after they assessed the problems and they had the work done 1.5 hours quicker than anticipated. The price was beyond reasonable and all the staff we interacted with was beyond nice. This is just one more reason we are Firestone customers!Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Brake service & repair

I had to take the rental car i was driving in here to have the tire fixed cause it had a nail in it. They had 23 rentals in that day for service and got me in while dealing with all that. Even if i wanted to take the car back and let them due it they didn't have a car to give back too me, so that's why i did it. They serviced the car too cause it was due, but i would have done it if it was my own so it didn't bother me. Firestone was very nice to me and i had no problems with them.

I was told it would only take 2 to 3 hours to get my tires done and when I came back 4 hours later they still hadn't pulled my car into the back. I asked how long it would be and was told it would be another hour till they could take it back so I started calling around to see if anyone else had my tires and was able to get me in if I came right then and as soon as I started doing that they ran out with my keys and pulled my car to the back and had my tires on in around a half hour. The staff was friendly but maybe inform people by updating them about the situation incase they have to make other arrangements for the extra delay in time.

Was traveling home from Chicago when my in dash GPS froze up. It was a Sunday around noon. I just needed someone for 3 minutes to unhook my battery so I could reset. I was told they could get me tomorrow. I explained my situation about needing to get home. I offered to pay their hourly rate. The guy then told meto take that money and go buy my own tools at Walmart. I hope none of you reading this ever have an emergency need. Very rude and unprofessional.

We have been bringing our vehicles to this location for a couple years now. Basic services, oil changes, tire rotations etc and never had any issues. We set our online appointment up over a week ago and never got a confirmation but it wasn't the first time so no big deal. Called on our way there to just check in and the woman who answered tells us they "don't do appointments on Sundays" and they're "online appointment thing is kind of messed up" . Okay, fine, probably something you should look into sooner than later but whatever. Asked if we can still get in since we are leaving for a small trip tomorrow morning, she says yeah they should and then proceeds to tell me they won't take the coupons we get on our phones, they have to be printed. I asked why that was since they(meaning the COMPANY) has always taken them or just put them in on their own without even seeing them. She said, and I quote, "well, THEY'RE NOT HERE, *insert snotty condescending tone* and if we got audited it could be bad".Really?! Okay cool...you do you sweetheart, click.Got my oil changed and tires rotated within a half hour after this at a sister store that we will now frequent.Oh, and they just pulled the coupons up in the system and attached them...as usual.
