My experience was horrible! My wife brought our car there to get headlights. They charged her over 400 dollars. The lights didn't work when she left there and they didn't even put the air filter box back together correctly. In my opinion they charge you money for jobs they have no clue what they are Doing. They could of at least put my car back together correctly. They had no problem taking the money.

I have been going to this location for years along with family and friends, however today I ve decided never to go back there.I purchased my vehicle this year and have been taking it to Duke of Oil for regular oil changes. Twice they mentioned something was going on with my oil pan and twice I took it to the dealership because I m still under warranty. After the back and forth between the dealership and Duke of Oil, Duke of Oil took on the responsibility of replacing my oil pan. I spoke with the area manager and he agreed to have it replaced at no charge. The area manager arranged for my car to be towed from the dealership to this location and put in a new oil pan. Unbeknownst to me, when I called to inquire about my car, I was told I had to pay for the oil change. Without addressing the issue over the phone I went there and asked why am I paying for an oil change. The worker Keith told me because it was time forit to be changed and that s what they do when they change out an oil pan. I don t know anything about the way cars work but it was a surprise when they called and said I had to pay for an oil change after hearing there would be no charge. Keith asked what did I want him to do and he put me in contact with the assistant area manager and he said I would have to pay for the oil change. The assistant area manager also pointed out that I was going to pay for an oil change at the dealership which is true. To me if you are taking on the responsibility of a faulty oil pan either explain the full situation or it should be no charge as stated. Their oil change was significantly lower and at that time it hadn t been resolved yet about the oil pan situation. My point is this should have been explained to me before hand and not a surprise after the fact. Again, I didn t know how oil pan exchanges work. Keith was very rude and I retorted back. His tone and words were very unprofessional. He figured and assumed since they called me after the fact after the oil was already changed without giving me the whole picture that I agreed for them to change the oil. Had I had a complete picture when I spoke with the area manager that probably would have avoided this conflict. He also said he could have left my oil reservoir empty and I could have had it towed back to my home again assuming I understand how cars work. Duke of Oil/Autofix will never get any more business from me and anyone I know I ll make sure they take their business elsewhere. As for Keith he should seriously take customer service ettiquette courses.

I took my car in since it had been making funny sounds for quite some time. There were a few issues with it- oil change needed, brake replacement and flush. However, they were helpful, attentive, and had great customer service! Alex specifically made it a great experience. Despite having to spend most of my day there, he made sure everything was fixed in a timely manner. He was very kind and great with the customers. I am happy to say I will be recommending this place and returning if, and when, it is necessary!Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Car was over priced and he had a nasty attitudes. We still test drove the overly priced vehicle and he was waiting in the door like we weren't going to return with his overly priced vehicle. My son didn't want to test drive at all because of his nasty attitude. Charles said Kelly Blue Book didn't mean ANYTHING to him. All he cared about was getting the money back that he said he put in on his overly priced vehicle. He had the vehicle priced at $3500 on carmax. When we arrived he had it priced for $4000. Kelly Blue Book said the fair purchase price was $2797. Slick none honest car salesman. If I could give him a zero star I would. I'm referring to Charles at Performance Motors in Crown Point Indiana.

Alex at Auto Fix in Merrillville is the bees knees. This place saved me when my ac went out. Done in an hour. Great place!

Just left this location and it was incredible. I called and spoke with Hilary if we could get a quick engine light code pulled after being turned away at the Merrillville 2080 location . Not only were they busy but she found time to take my call and run out to my car and pull the code we were in and out in under 5 minutes. Tank you Hilary for the quick response and recommendations for repair.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They did not suggest OEM recommended oil for the oil change. Went straight to and only suggested a full synthetic. Customer beware!!! As a young person was taken advantage of. When the business was called they started there is not a oem recommended oil or specs. Truly compared thenoem recommended oil as giving a new born koolaid.Service: Oil change
