Awesome place. Sam helped me with my son's car and I wasn't even there. We thought that our transmission was broken but after inspecting the car, they found that it was a coil pack and spark plugs and not an expensive transmission. They fixed it and the car runs fine now. They sound like honest people. Good job guys! Keep up the great work!

We needed transmission fluid and filter. Rude person on the phone said they don't do that. Sorry, your site says you do.

My truck is working completely fine, but I was told that my ring gear in my differential was no longer good but they put it in my bed after taking it off the truck just for me to see that it is completely fine doesn't even have the coating worn off yet

Excellent honesty and integrity! This is a mom and pop shop, how things should be. I'm from out of town, my transmission gave out 3 hours from home. Luckily I was near Martinsville. Called another repair shop near by. They told me they take their transmission work to Hometown Transmission, suggesting I do the same.Going there;1. Appeared very busy (good sign for any business), yet helped me immediately.2. Quickly diagnosed and gave me 3 options explaining all.3. So reasonable price. Quoted and stuck to quote Spent less than I thought.4. 3 weeks later had a minor issue. they offered towing and fully fixed to above satisfaction.5. Quality work! Fair Price!6. Hope I don't need to but WILL TAKE ANY VEHICLE WITH ANY ISSUE TO THIS FAMILY

They had my vehicle for 3 months and after they supposedly fixed it I had to take it back 3 different times and still having issues with what they charged me a small fortune to supposedly fix! I would not recommend this place!PS not a friendly staff and usually downright rude

Well I walked in and was greeted professionally, asked about my issue and gave the technician my keys. He test drove my vehicle returning with the worst news one could get from a transmission shop, a total rebuild. Gave me a quote immediately after. The price seemed fair and 36000 mile guarantee sounded great but I am a poor man and must seek another means to get my vehicle fixed.

They was nice at 1st, then I paid them 2500 to rebuild my transmission on my 09 F250 and they said they would have it for 2 weeks, and had it for 2 MONTHS, and when I finally got the call it was done, went to pick it up and as soon as I hit the highway, it was doing the SAME thing, long story short, if u want a honest straight up company that will fix ur stuff right ( DO NOT USE them) and fyi, they refuse to fix my truck, so I am going to get it fixed and sue them for my money backService: Transmission

Took them a s10 4x4. That probably should of went to salvage Yard.. they done their magic.. gave it new life. thanks hometown transmissions....9 month update. Truck is doing great..Also I noticed a negative comment for these ppl . That cars seem to be at the establishment for a long time...YES THAT IS TRUE..For example my daughter's first car has been there many month's, having transmission rebuilt.. they are allowing her to make payments on this costly repair...she works at McDonald's so can't pay all at once. To me that's a GOOD DEED not many shops will do so.. THANKS SAM &DEE.

We had a wonderful experience with Sam & Dee. These people really know their business, they answered all of our questions and replaced our clutch in one day. The price was good and the car is better than new.

If you need transmission or drive train work you can't do better than Hometown Transmission. Sam and Dee Neal are great people. Sam reminds me of "Andy Taylor". They are a family business that has been in Martinsville for 34 years. Their motto is "Give the customer the best service for the best price and be proud of the work you do. Be Hometown Proud!!" They live that motto.

They rebuilt my transmission in my 2007 H3. They got it done when they said they would and gave a warranty on it.It runs great now

Took Truck in to check on trans transmission overheating light on transmission that they rebuild. And they charged me $50.00 to clean battery post TOTAL RIP OFF
