DO NOT deal with this location. The Gerber on 350 in Lafayette does absolutely AMAZING work & their customer service is unmatched. The Farabee location, however, will send your vehicle back to you without replacing the parts they claimed they did, meanwhile they have already billed you (or your insurance)for said parts that weren't recieved, give you the run around about getting it back in & then say you're the one who didn't show up for an appt they never set up. Then drag the process out for over a month trying to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.They don't even check everything they're supposed to for an insurance claim. Do NOT trust them with your vehicle. I've had better service from a 7 year old, if I'm being honest. They don't take responsibility for their actions & instead try to take advantage & put the blame on you when you catch on to what they're trying to do. Honestly, I'd sooner search for a non existent leprechaun than EVER take one of my vehicles to them again. If I could give them zero stars, it wouldn't be low enough.

I have no clue how good the work is because it is now almost 6 weeks of an estimated 3 week repair and I don't have my car back. I don't know how other locations but the one on Farabee Drive in Lafayette IN is the most inept staff I've ever encountered.I went to Jon's auto shop first because the dealership said that's who they used. The woman at the front desk was SO nice and fast and engaging.I had to go to Gerber because of my insurance. The first time I entered the woman who was at the main desk had a flat affect and made it very clear that she wanted to get me in and out as quickly as possible with the least information. That has continued the last 6 weeks. Their goal on the phone is to tell you as little real information as possible. It seems like they are trained to say "I don't know" as many times as possible. Both from the person who answers the phone to the person who literally was told to me was in charge of "updates". Her "update"?...."I don't know."Then there's a lot of excuses about the number of cars you get every day and the number of painters you have and let me give you my answer...."I don't care." How can you have a shop and not know approximately how long it takes for you to turn around a car? It's literally been in paint for 13 working days (I took out Thanksgiving). How can you NOT know what place it is in line, how long it takes approximately for a car to get through, or any other metrics? If you do have metrics how can they be 13 DAYS off?!If you want your car back (which I still do because I don't have it), then PLEASE do not choose them!!!

No accountability at all. A part on my vehicle has been on backorder for over 1 year. They still have no idea when it will arrive and actually refused to look into it. There was no apology, they just keep repeating that there's nothing they can do.

Very disappointed with service and quality.I was sent to them a preferred company with the insurance company of the other driver. I was told my car would be done in a month and it took over 6 weeks to get my car. Little to no explanations besides wrong parts ordered, I understand mistakes but one to many make a company at fault at some point.When I received my car back it did not drive properly or even close to the way it did prior to the accident. I called immediately and took it back. They claim it s normal wear and tear (even though it never drove this way prior to the accident).Gerber called me to figure out how to get ahold of the insurance company stating they couldn t get ahold of them (a company they work with). Two weeks later I spoke with the insurance company who stated they called and sent emails responding to them.At that point they stated they were going to tow my vehicle because it was unsafe to drive yet tell me it was wear and tare and not from the accident..I spoke with office staff as well as the manager asking for my aliment records 4 times and have yet to be able to provide that they ever alined my vehicle from when it was in the accident. (Assuming they never actually did one or it would be in my file, and easy accessible).I spoke with the manager once again to request them and he stated it would take him a few days which it had been a few days from the very first time I spoke with him.VERY VERY unorganized, unprofessional, and zero respect to their business or customers. Would NEVER recommend or go back.

Very caring, professional and friendly. Did an amazing job on my jeep. Will definitely recommend and use again if needed. We'll, now I have gone back with my jeep for the 2nd time for different issues. First of all when went to pick up, the doors wouldn't line up to shut. They kept it again. Next time after taking it home, notice several more issues. Weather stripping in front door started hanging down noticed air leak. Took it back again today because of a continued air leak from drivers door. NOW IM TOLD, "WE DON'T HEAR ANYTHING." SO I GUESS NOW I LIVE WITH THIS NOISE I DIDN'T HAVE BEFORE!!!! No l9nger a 5 star from me. Maybe a 2 now as I still have the leak!

I stopped in to get an estimate and Jeff took a few minutes to look at the damage, put the car in the shop and made the repair on the spot! The entire Gerber team was super. Thanks again Jeff!!

I had a car estimate by them and they wanted a little over $11,000 in total for repairs and it wasn t even going to be OEM parts from what the gentleman told me over the phone.I end up taking it to another body shop down the road and cost for the repairs was $3800.

Avoid this shop at all costs. As a preferred collision center with my insurance company, I would have expected professional service; this has not been the case. I have been lied to about calls made to me with updates and completion dates. Shop has waited over a month to order a tire that was damaged beyond repair, when vehicle arrived. Not even an apology. Requested a manager call me 4 days ago still waiting.Bottom line: company has issues with management of customer repair time estimates. In my situation it took 13 working days to order a tire and get it installed to complete my service. Service / customer care and concern was applied after I was forced to escalate issue to corporate levels of both Gerber and my insurance company.

They only thing that was good about this experience was how clean the cleaners cleaned my car when it was done. They had me wait almost four weeks to bring my car in. Then told me it would only be 27 hours. That turned into two and half weeks. The paint and clear coat is chipping away just two days after having it. I have paint runs. They didn t breaks any of the paint into the rest of the car. Very unsatisfactory! There are way too many options in town! Don t use them!Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

Shoutout to the GM Michael, the front desk personelle that was always helpful on the phone even when i called too many times and whoever had a hand in repairing my truck. Took it in earlier this year after a wreck. Wanted to give it some time before I gave my opinion. As of now they have always kept their word and were always good at communicating what the status of my repair was. Only delay it had was nothing on them as it was a dealership repair for that specific part. Thank you guys for the good work

Had a deer jump out in from of my car and I did not have a strong preference for a body shop as I had not needed to use one in the area for over 8 years. Gerber was recommended by the insurance company so I randomly said yes - and am extremely glad that I did.The staff is very professional and friendly. The work was done quicker than could reasonably be expected (occurred during the height of the COVID supply crises for anyone reading this in a better future). They kept me well appraised of the progress and timing.The work was absolutely top notch - car looks like it was never hit despite $8K+ of damage (big deer, 60 MPH collision). There was a slight problem as a pinched wire shorted out between when they did the post repair testing and the first time I drove at night that caused the dim headlights to not function. However, they stand behind their work and the issue was taken care of quickly and with no hassle.I can unequivocally recommend this location for body work.Services: Electrical, Body & Trim, Welding

Good work done. I appreciated that they detailed the car interior before returning it. It was here for a repair from a collision. The repair took a long time, I think 45 days, but they did a great job of keeping me updated with texts and calls.

Very very disappointed. They ve had my car for a month. Called several times. No apologies, no emails and no estimate still. Every time I called they said they would call back but never got a call or email. I am very happy to say I have just picked up my car the other day after being involved in a hit and run. They we fast with a quote and to get me scheduled in and out. Gerber went above and beyond to make my repair go great as well as the experience. What started off as a terrible experience being involved in a hit-and-run turned into a great experience with a company who truly goes above and beyond to make sure the client is well taken care of. Their work is the best and has a lifetime warranty. I would reccomend going to Gerber above all others. Fast, friendly, phenomenal.

The service here is truly amazing. I had two accidents and had both repairs done here. They allowed me to wait for my ride indoors after 5:00pm so I would not have to wait alone outside. They are super patient and genuinely nice people. I appreciate all the hard work these people do and the above-and-beyond customer service they provide!

Took awhile to schedule a repair in advance, but it was worth it! I felt bad about dropping it off dirty after a day at the beach, but they went the extra mile and even vacuumed it out for me. Great customer service, someone stayed after a few minutes after they closed just so I could pick it up the day of completion. The repair to the front bumper and hood was seamless. Will definitely recommend Gerber Collision to anyone I know!

Insurance refused to cover all collision-related damage on my Nissan, but Gerber generously put in the extra work to properly restore my vehicle to pre-accident condition. I was stunned and much more than satisfied with the amazing results. The entire staff was always friendly and helpful. Thanks a million to superb manager Rick W. for making this all possible!

Body work was beautiful but my backup camera is not square. You would think that was something the customer wouldn't have to deal with. Seeing as i was having being rear ended fixed...

This place is terrible. I had to pay them over $1k to have my bumper repainted, and the color didn't match. They refused to make it right.Just to make it absolutely clear, nothing has been resolved. In our conversation, Trampus told us the Gerber does not have the equipment and/or expertise to match the color of silver paint. No other offer was made to resolve the dispute.

Paint job pretty good a few dirt spots the main thing, I took it in all locks worked, picked it up driver side front and rear locks no longer work and couldn't figure it out, they think something went bad setting there but they couldn't figure out why they suggested taking to dealer, thanks Gerber,Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & TrimServices: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

This place has had my fianc� s truck for going on 5 weeks. They said it would be done weeks ago. I have NEVER left a poor review on a company before but because of this place and their lack of organization etc (we ve gotten about 5 different stories as to why it s delayed and about 5 different dates it should be done ) he has had to reschedule and LOST important job interviews he has had set up after moving here from a different state. I ve never had a place be so all over the place and not even know parts weren t delivered or ordered when giving a date in which it would be done. Awful. We still don t have the vehicle back.

They attempted to fix my Lincoln Aviator a few months back. I've had to return the vehicle multiple times now in an effort to get it fixed correctly. One of their attempts, they actually returned the vehicle to me missing multiple parts from the front end. I have also paid another shop $115 for their error. My insurance company tells me the reimbursement should come from Gerber and yet Rick, the manager, just keeps telling me he sent it to corporate and they haven't gotten back to him yet. It's been since late November! Finally received the reimbursement late January. Bumped up to 2 stars.

Feel so fortunate to move my car from Mike raisor to Gerber. It will take forever in Mike raisor to wait for estimating and repairing. I couldn't go through my insurance and had to pay myself. It's a lot of money to pay. However, Gerber made it less painful. They finished changing and repairing both passenger doors, glasses, engine cover, right front lamp, back shield window, painting, and all other nessary repair in 12 business days. I am so surprised when I saw my car again because I made it so damaged but now it's just looks like new. The workers are efficient. I would highly recommend this collision center. The manager Nick and front desk Kimberly are so nice and amicable. Nick kept updating information about every process to me. All people there are nice too.

Great service, they repaired my vehicle & you couldn't even tell it had been hit. Even said if I have future problems with the work like paint or whatever that they will fix it no charge. I now know why cause I didn't ever have any problems!

Took them almost 3 weeks to get my car in. Then when I was picking up my car, I noticed new damage on my back bumper. I was little annoyed that even happened in the first place since everyone there should be paying attention but least I was able to get another rental on gerber and pick up my car the next day

They did an excellent job on my car for hail damage repair, paintless dent repair. My car was in on Wednesday and ready by Tuesday the following week. My insurance covered the repairs . Beautiful job

The customer service at this establishment is absolutely horrible. The employees had no interest in trying to provide me with any information or help in order to resolve the issue at hand. The employees also had different stories about what parts and services that were supposed to be done on my boyfriends car. This place is only good for causing you more problems than you started with, and costing you 2 to 3 times more money than you originally planned to.Service: Body & Trim
