The service here is excellent. I went in to get the exhaust modified on my car. The workers are very knowledgeable and do great work. The pricing surprised me, they're very fair compared to a lot of other shops. The work was done same day, which is a plus. I highly recommend Chicago Muffler for any exhaust work!

I went to the business to see about an upgrade on my exhaust system for my 2020 GMC Sierra. I came back early on a Friday. They get busy fast as other customers come in. They said it would take approximately 4 hours. HOWEVER, when I came back my truck wasn t even looked at yet. Nevertheless, I they apologized and got right to work. Well worth the wait! The work was done very well. Only 500.00 for dual black tip exhaust. Weird thing is, at least for me, they re not to keen to take credit cards so make sure you have the cash available. I d give them 5 stars, but when you are the second one at the shop at 0900 and you don t get your vehicle back until 230 it makes for a long day of waiting so be flexible.Service: Exhaust

I went in Saturday morning without an appt. ( Shame on me, ik I'm sorry.) But I went in to get an estimate and Nortan, ( I believe that is what his name was) came and talked to us and said he would have a look at it to see what he could do. So he did. He said he could have it fixed in an hr and he had it done in 50 mins! I was not expecting it at all to be done that day. But $120.00 spent for everything. He told us that Equinoxs are well known for muffler issues like mine had. He was very nice, friendly and professional. 10/10 I recommend.Service: Exhaust

Was just a tad bit disappointed after reading the reviews and going myself. The quality of the work seems good but they did leave my 02 sensor wires hanging down which is a simple thing, there was also rust residue on my dash, my door, on my seats. I specifically said in the notes to put my cats back in the car once they were done, but had to ask to get them back before leaving which made me feel like they were going to keep them for themselves.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

Recommended to me by a fantastic used tire dealer and they obviously share the same standards. Got me in without an appointment within minutes. Offered options and did an awesome job. Reasonable on price. Highly recommended.

They did a good job! Very attentive to my vehicle when working on it. But was so expensive for the just a simple job. What hey charged for labor this time was not so bad, but the part cost oh my.

Heard some good things about this place and decided to give them a shot.All I needed was one of the hangers for my exhaust welded back on, as I had recently replaced the resonator.The gentleman that helped me was Norton. He was very nice, very approachable, and after getting my car on the lift offered to not only weld the hanger back on, but to fix a leak that was happening at the flange and on the other side of the resonator that i had fixed.He was very quick about the repair and was very reasonable about the price. My car sounds like it's brand new again! They definitely have my business in the future!

I had to get a new resonator ASAP. This shop had been recommended. I was helped by Mario who was very attentive and friendly. They were able to fix my car that same day, even though just a few hours were left until closing and they had two other cars on lifts. HIGHLY recommend.

A great fast place for repairs. I talked to Horton and he gave me a rough estimate on a muffler. He checked the car and it was $5 over the estimate. He apologized. It wasn't a big deal. I stayed. He got me out of their in a half hour. Make an appointment to ensure you're out quick! Gracias Horton!

My warranty dealer didn t cover my exhaust system, so GMC tried to charge me over $3k for a brand new one! I took my truck into Chicago Muffler and they fixed the part within an hour and only charged $95 for parts and labor!! Highly recommend these guys!!!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Amazing service. The crew there is small as is thier property lot..however thier work ethic is amazing. Every car I've owned I've taken here and I've yet to be disappointed with price or labor of the job.

Called around looking to have a new exhaust on my truck. Everyone was booked and wanted a good amount of money to put straight pipes on my truck. Listed price for an oil change and lube is $28.95. I provided the oil as I have in the past and you get a discount. A guy wearing a coat with the name Norton comes out and said the car is done and it's $30.00. I pointed out to him I provided the oil. He came down to $25.00. In the past I have been given more credit than $5.00 for 5 quarts of oil. I got out my credit card as I ALWAYS paid with a credit card. He wanted cash. I only had $21.00 in my wallet. He begrudgingly used my credit card. This place HAD been a 5 star rating. Not anymore.

Wow. I don't think it's possible for me to have a better experience than what just happened. My regular auto place said I needed a complete new exhaust system for $1500. I looked at it and it mostly looked in solid shape. I called Chicago Muffler at 5 pm, an hour before close, and asked if they could give me a second opinion. They said come on over. I was in the neighborhood and was there a few minutes later. Within 10 minutes he was quoting me $85 for a new catalytic converter. So I ask what the total cost was. That WAS the total cost, parts and labor. I said yes and they installed and had me out the door within 20 minutes. 1 year warranty. These guys specialize in exhaust. This is the place to go.

This is my place to go for all 'normal' work. The quality of workmanship is high, the price is very reasonable and the mechanics honest. True the place is a bit rough, but considering everything, it is far, far better than a dealer for things like mufflers, brakes, and regular auto repairs.

Day 1--minor noise was heard in my car whenever breaking and accelerating and going over bumps. It has been fine for the past 4 months when I drove it 3000 miles with no problems except these now minor noises. Took it here and he said he could take a quick look and bring it back the next day to lift it and take a closer look. He said he thinks it is the struts for now.Day 2--took it in and this is when I assumed he lifted it. Said it was actually the tie rods. Quoted about $225 total cost. Said bring it back next day to get fixed.Day 3-- Said it is actually sway bar link then said there is actually $1000 worth of problems. This is after I made the mistake of telling them another place quoted me $1700 for what I thought was just a tie rods issue. Fixed sway bar link, brake pads and rotors.Day 4-- brought it back to have remaining issue besides struts replaced. Spent a total of $750. I mentioned my disappointment in how this all happened and he swears he only lifted it day 3 (after I mentioned the $1700 quote) and that's when he discovered the issues. Then compared his price of 1 grand to the other quote I told him about.My original issue is gone but now my engine is making an terrible loud noise it has never made before. Pretty frustrated.
