This is where I take my foreign vehicles. Trustworthy work is all I ask for and that's what I receive at this facility over the years. He will tell you the truth about your car.

Fred is great. I have heard a rattle since I bought the car and had taken it to the dealership and to another garage and neither could find the cause of the rattle. I didn't even mention it to Fred, I had given up, and he found the problem during a routine check with an oil change and fixed it. I highly recommend Automotive Imports. Very fair prices and great work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I am a social worker who drives about 30,000 miles a year. After my divorce, I had to downgrade from a newer car. I now have a 2005 Nissan Altima that has 116,500 miles on it. Things are now needing replaced more often and I am so thankful that a friend referred me to Fred. As a female, I think I have been taken advantage of many times by dealerships and other garages but Fred is by far the most honest mechanic I have ever had. He only fixes what needs fixing and he explains everything he s doing in a way that someone like me, who has no knowledge of how a car works, can understand and he does so without making me feel ignorant. His pricing is very reasonable too. I feel confident that he can keep my car in good shape and running so I can pay it off and finally not have a car payment. If you are looking for the best mechanic in Lafayette, in my opinion, Fred is it. Judging by his reviews, I think a lot of other people think so too.

Fred was able to help me with my 2010 Honda Civic and get it back up and running. Thing runs like a charm and has over 200k miles on it now! Go with Fred and you won t be disappointed!

Fred has been very helpful. I refuse to go to Honda again because they treated me like a "dumb woman". l am not. I can think critically, but in order to do so, I need to ask questions. They refused to answer them. ...In comes Fred. He knew the problem right away...much more than Honda did... and educated me on why the failure occurred and what needed to be done. His fix was right the first time and a reasonable price. He is no nonsense. He can come across as too confident and even a little rude. BUT... he knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Honest. Ethical. Professional. One of our children was a student at Purdue and their Subaru started to have a problem that made the car un-driveable. We were 4 hours away and not knowing anyone in Lafayette, we called the Subaru dealership in W. Lafayette to have the car diagnosed. Their estimate was outrageous and coincidentally the cost of the repairs was about the value of the car, so the dealership was willing to do the repairs and take the car off our hands. By pure chance we were told about Automotive Imports. They were able to figure out the real problem - it was NOT what the dealership had diagnosed (a blown head gasket). Automotive Imports fixed the car (replaced a fuse and a fan) and it has been running great ever since. We will continue to give Automotive Imports our business. It's hard to find a car repair business your can trust. Automotive Imports is one of those places.Service: Engine repair

I was recommended to this place from a stranger, when asked where they had their oil changed for a Volvo.I called, and they were able to help me out with my check engine light and answer all my questions. I was respected as a woman, and not treated like I was dumb. I was really impressed with the courtesy and him taking the time to help me out in my time of need. Thank you. Been going to Automotive Imports for years. Fred is the the most honest mechanic you will ever meet. Does great work for a reasonable price. He will only fix things the right way and only what really needs to be fixed.

We've been going to Automotive Imports for 18 years and would not trust anyone else to work on our cars. To say Fred Moser is knowledgeable, honest and ethical is an understatement. He cares about his customers and takes extreme pride in his work and reputation. There may be cheaper mechanics in Lafayette, but few if any, with the quality of work and honesty, of Automotive Imports.

My 18 yr old daughter - a student at Purdue was treated w respect when her Toyota Camry needed some help on Friday. The check engine light and tire pressure lights were on and she was quite concerned.THANK YOU!This 1st class shop fixed all those issues at a price that was embarrassingly l Guy ow but more importantly, treated my daughter w utmost respect & while other shops might have taken advantage of a young female w limited automotive experience, Automotive Imports is a Class Act and made both of us believe in humanity again.Keep up the great work and thank u for bringing honor & professionalism to the Automotive Industry!Sincerely,Don from Calif

Efficient, Professional, "No BS", female-friendly Service.Fred has saved my hide in more than one instance, even when I have called him in a bind from out of town. I've gone through many mechanics while driving my POS Pontiac, and still defer to Automotive Imports to fact-check other shops' diagnosis.Their service is unparalleled, and Fred addresses problems with a "straight-from-the-hip" attitude that sets them apart from other local shops. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, for any service.

I have had Automotive Imports maintain six cars, a Ford, two Volvos and three Toyotas, for me for over 25 years. Fred Moser and his crew do an outstanding job. They have literally saved me thousands of dollars on the maintenance of my cars. First, they give excellent advice on how to maintain your car. Secondly, they charge reasonable prices for their work. Thirdly, their work is outstanding. Fourthly, they will not sell you any parts or service that you do not need. I can unconditionally recommend them.

Called Fred to talk about issue with vehicle, not only does he refer me somewhere else but he also makes false assumptions about lights that are on in my dash. After kindly correcting him about what lights were on in my car (which he had not yet even looked at,) he tells me not to argue with him. I will never go here again because I personally will not do business with someone who does not understand the concept of putting customers first.

Still the best shop in town. Fred knows his stuff, does amazing work, and keeps prices reasonable. Still the best as seen in my visit today. Five stars plus!!

We have moved out of town but still call him to get his professional advices! Now we struggle to find a reliable mechanics in our new town, we know how it was a blessing to have come across to his service 14+ years ago and had him watched out for our best interests.
