I had a starter that was going out and took 2 or sometimes 3 cranks to get my car going. Then one day, I tried it 20 times with no luck and was basically stranded at a local parking lot. It was a Friday night at 6pm and Accent was the only place open on the weekend. I was planning to leave the next morning for holiday travel and drive 8hrs, and Timothy not only worked me in but GOT IT DONE THAT SAME FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER CLOSING. Turned my emergency into a non-issue and saved me from getting stranded halfway across the state or not getting out of Lafayette at all and missing 3-4 days with my family.Thanks Timothy!!!

My local small/medium business always takes our cars to Accent. We get an honest assessment, honest quote, and most importantly, high quality repair work.Accent is the best indie mechanic shop in Lafayette. The owner, Thomas, knows what he is doing and shoots it straight. If you don't stop by Accent first when you have a vehicle problem you're making a mistake.There's no dealer or shop I trust more than Accent.

My car was worked on at accent auto and it came to be that the head of the engine needed repaired. And I thought it would be a couple weeks to take place to get the parts and to get everything together. But he got it done in no time. And I'm so happy with how my car is back and running within a week and how fast the parts came in. I would recommend accent auto to anyone, thanks again!!

Got recommended this spot by my tow truck driver after the one I had aimed for wasn't up to the job. I've never pulled up to an auto shop and immediately felt like I made the right choice until now, both the secretary and the owner made me feel super at home as soon as I arrived. Very down to earth folks. My repair and oil change were done super quick, and at a fantastic price, and they even kept up a dialogue to make sure I was satisfied with the work once I left. And if the glowing reviews from my tow driver were enough to go on, this is their standard! If you're looking to ditch overpriced, slow, rude chain shops, this is 100 percent the place to go. Best I've been to across two states and three cities by far.

The owner is awesome and was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule to do a diagnostic on my broken A/C. Explained the issue thoroughly and pointed out the area of repair on the car too. Brought in my truck for him to finish what I couldn't seem to figure out. He was quick, communicative, and priced the job fairly. My cars brakes were over their last legs after a long trip and while other places had a week or more wait I was told to come in immediately to see if they were safe. It was only an hour before close and it was obvious it was going to be past close when they finished but they went over and beyond to make sure I was safe in my vehicle with my children. I really appreciate them seeing me immediately and staying over time to make sure it was finished. Also very accommodating and friendly. I have an older car that needed a starter and I took it in and he got it put on right away he was very friendly he did what he could he told me how much it was going to cost me and there was no surprise at the very end of the deal I would highly recommend these guys

Can't say enough wonderful things about Thomas and Accent Auto Repair. We are out of state with our son attending the university and his car died on the side of the road. Thomas had the car delivered to him on a Thursday and diagnosed the problem, gave pricing and options on Friday. We were pleasantly surprised as Thomas called first thing Monday that the car would be available for pick up that afternoon (he worked through the entire weekend to get it done). I would Highly recommend this business for anyone wanting great workmanship, constant communication and very fair pricing.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

An old coworker recommended Thomas at Accent Auto Repair, he actually reached out to me and was more than willing to help me try to figure out the issue with my vehicle. Mind you this was on a Sunday evening! Most other places are only Monday-Friday, not Thomas. He s always working. He gave me a lot of info but thankfully I was able to fix the issue myself. Would recommend taking your vehicle here.

I just used this shop for the first time and was so impressed that I'll continue using them in the future. They immediately spotted a problem that could have been dangerous if gone unnoticed, price was very fair, repair was done quickly, and showed me how to operate a function on my car (that should have been very obvious but I totally missed it) without making me feel stupid about it. Vehicle troubles can be stressful but Thomas was very helpful and kept me updated throughout the process. Everything was great start to finish.

First off, I love that this business is open on Saturdays. Very professional and very informative! Even though he was extremely busy, he took time to get my vehicle repaired that afternoon. I was very pleased with the pricing and how great my car is running again! I found my new Mech Man!!

My daughter was having issues with her car. I first talked to the owner who called me back while he was on vacation! The owner gave me a number for one of his mechanics at the shop and they got her car in and called me the same day with the issues. JP was the mechanic and was extremely helpful, honest and professional. I will never take any of our vehicles anywhere else!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is an excellent place to take your car for any sort of repair. You can tell the employee(s) there are very experienced and know what they are doing. The prices are competitive and the communication is excellent so you know right when your car is ready for pickup. Customers are treated with respect and the employee(s) are very polite. Very reasonably priced. Was completed in quoted time frame. Received a phone call as soon as they realized another piece was needed (a different shop had missed when they looked over my vehicle.) so was not an error on their part and glad they caught it. I honestly cannot recommend this shop enough! He kept me informed and educated on what was needed to be done! I broke down, and in the same night he already told me what was wrong! For reference, I had issues with timing change and needed a new engine head. For a single, female, I was worried about getting taken advantage of, but he made me feel completely comfortable during the whole process! Couldn t recommend him enough! I found this place when I needed to plug one of my tires with a nail in it. They were able to see me right away and was done in 15 minutes. I was so pleased with the service that I took my daughter's car there when it needed repair. They quickly identified the issue, quoted me a great price, and had it fixed within 48 hours - and that's only because they had to order tires. I always hear about people who "have a guy" when it comes to car repair/maintenance; well, now I "have a guy" as I will continue to bring my vehicles here knowing I will recieve honest, dependable, and great service.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

This is a very well priced, honest mechanic. I take EVERY SINGLE car issue I have here. He's quick but also, I am usually willing to wait any amount of time for him and his crew cause I know it's done right and at a great price. Peace of mind knowing they're not screwing around with other stuff in my car. Best mechanic I've ever found ever. Very blessed to have this guy in my life.

I went here because of all of the great reviews. But there wasn t nothing great about my experience with them. There s no reason a place should have your car from 9am til almost 9pm. Especially for an alternator replacement. This usually takes a few hours. The only communication was with the owner who was out of town at the time. No communication with the actual mechanic working in my car. I get that working on cars can be time consuming but this was just one excuse after another. I thought I would be saving money since they told me how much it cost. But when I got my car back it was making a noise after work was done on it. Of course they had to fix it again costing me even more money. Please avoid this place. I will never go back here again.
