I come here often for oil, filters, tires etc... the customer service was pretty slow but it wasn't the employees fault. They were crazy busy and it seemed like they didn't have enough staff. Ashley is always working when I come in and she works circles around everyone else. Walmart in Laporte, if you see this.. Ashley needs a raise!

Hour and a half Wait for an oil change on a weekday morning, with three guys working they've got two lanes blocked off, and no warning that they're going so slow. The other lanes are blocked inside with stacks of tires, no indication this will go back to regular service anytime soon. Also went in for my balance and rotation, and they did a rotation only and skipped the balance. So a complete waste of an hour and a half. I left to go to South Bend.

Only giving this one star because zero is not an option. I have paid for lifetime, balance, and rotate at the store on the tires. I purchased here and twice now been denied the balance and rotate due to whatever inconvenience. I highly recommend you go somewhere else

Went to get new tires. Was there over 2 hours. They took all 4 tires off my car before discovering that they didn't have the tires I wanted in stock. Why take the tires off before making sure that they have the tires? Then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to put them back on. Manager Josh was not helpful or understanding at all.Service: Tires

When I called, the phone rang and rang for about 10 minutes before someone actually answered and very rude when they did. Let's just say I took my business else where.

I went in and had two new tires put on. I told them to discard the damaged tire and to save the good one. Lone behold a few days later I got a puncture in one of my other tires. Go to my trunk to get the tire I saved out. No tire. They kept it and when I called they had already disposed of it. They told me they couldn't give me a new tire but that they'd repair the one. No problem. I've been here now since 8:45am. It is currently 11:35 and I am still not done. I have never seen a tire place take this long. Recommend going else where.Service: Tires

Brought my car here for an oil change and to replace my battery with no lights or issues on the car before Service. My car won't even start from the parking lot after service. The battery light came on as well as the radio dash won't turn on at all after service. Installing the battery wrong can ruin your alternator and thats what happened. So we paid a tow truck to tow it on a friday night, and now have to replace the alternator, which was testing and working fine beforehand. We will never go back to Walmart for automobile service after this!Services: Auto battery replacement, Oil change

Got a good price on tires. But they couldn't break my wheel studs free so I had to go to autozone and buy a socket and use my breaker bar to break them free myself.

Overall positive experience. You hear a lot of horror stories about Walmart TLE but I was low on money and needed a tire and oil change and didn't have the entry to do it myself. For 135 bucks I got a new tire, mounted and balanced and put on the car along with a standard oil change. The technicians and management were very friendly and seemed well informed on what to do. I only gave 4 stars because its associated with Walmart. If this was any other shop it would have been a 5 star review.

Ended up with a flat and had it towed here to LaPorte Walmart. I believe the guys name was Luke who worked on it. He was very nice and helped me when checking out.I give it one less star because I signed up with text to see when my car would be done but never received it. I called and it had been done for a few hours. I got one when it went in but never when it was done.

Waited for the auto center clerk to help a customer trying to buy a battery with opening a new Walmart card. Evidently bad credit,he got no battery. Then two 20ish girls tried to work there car in before me. I waited now 15 minutes. Thought I was going to talk to store manager but it worked out. I got oil changed in my wifes car and it is fine. The guys in the shop,very professional.

I'd leave 0 if I could. Have attempted to go here a few times and they have never once helped me. I called for a tire yesterday after checking everywhere else first. Told me they didn't have any on stock. Go in today right after opening with my tire losing air on the vehicle, told me it would be an hour. I walk around, see a dozen tires my size, so they lied because they didn't want to check. An hour later, rims on the ground they inform me that they can't do it. Waste of time going here. You're better walking in, picking out your own tires and going ANYWHERE ELSE WITH THEM. They will find any reason they can to not fix your vehicle.

They were so busy I had to wait 15 minutes before I gave up and went home. Came back 3 hours later and was still busy but moving better.Bought a standard oil change which was supposed to include a rug sweeping if the front and an inside of the wind shield cleaned.The window was not cleaned at all and for the vacuuming, they barely cleaned it. Didn't move the mats at all just swept over them a bit.

Went to get an oil change and asked how long it would be. She told me there were four cars ahead of me. And that she is not allowed to estimate the time anymore. I appreciate the honesty. That's why I gave them five stars.

They always do such a great job. I got 2 new tired and an oil change. Only took 45 min. I Shopped for things I needed and didn't have to wait very long.

The wait was an hour longer than what I was told when I arrived, and about a mile down the road after pulling out of the parking lot, the car stopped working. I was able to get it started again and take it back to the mechanic. The Walmart mechanic was adamant that he didn't do anything wrong and that it was just a coincidence. He refused to even look it over. Prior to this I had never had a problem with the car. The car continued to stop working, so I had to get it towed to the dealership. The mechanic there told me that whoever checked the air-filter did a sloppy job and debris fell into the air intake. Yes it is probably the cheapest place to get an oil change... but at what cost? I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Excellent. Traveling and having tire issues is not fun. A call to walmart to confirm they had 2 tires and within 40 minutes they had us back on the road. Thank You

2-3 hours for an oil change, and reviews are given by employees to boost score. Hopefully you will believe the bad scores and find somewhere else if you are in a hurry or dont feel like wasting time. Woman at the register was polite. Needs more mechanics or more garages.

I literally a set of tires on my vehicle that have less than 5,000 miles on them. I went into Walmart to have my oil changed and tires rotated only to have the staff tell me that they would not rotate my tires because "the front tires were wearing too unevenly and it is unsafe." Mind you, I had a complete front end alignment done when the tires were installed. I politely asked the service person to show me how my tires were wearing unevenly, and they refused. I was displeased with the fact that they would not rotate my essentially brand new tires that are wearing perfectly even.

Hours are 7 to 7 I showed up a 5:30 p.m for 4 tires because one was starting to leak air because they were worn out they told me they had no time I said ok next day I showed up at 6:50 a.m to get the tires because I had to be at work at 9 a.m worker showed right at 7 but said he couldn't till maybe 9 because he was the only one.... in that mean time another worker showed up so I said let's do it he said no again because there needed to be 3 so I went to shaffners tire that open at 8 they pulled me in right away and got to work Walmart tires are a waste of time just go straight to shaffners

I needed 2 tires fixed and it was 45 mins befor they closed. The guys got my car in right away and was done in about 20 mins. Def worth the money and they did a good job.

I always go to LA Porte Walmart for oil changes. Best price and they are always nice. Today I was in and out. The fastest I've ever had an oil change done!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

My husband just came back from the auto center and was not happy. We live in Plymouth so we aren't just around the corner. He went to have 2 tires mounted that we got shipped to us via the Walmart web site . Thinking we would be taking them to the local Walmart to be mounted,but our walmart's auto center isn't open yet.After waiting for 2 hours for them to call him and tell him they were finished ,he went to check on the progress to be told they hadn't started yet and it would be thirty or forty more minutes.

I went to get a battery replaced, even though I was quoted the wrong price over the phone the customer service was good and it didn't take long at all.
