Super Nice people. Offered For me to use your vehicle since I was going to be down my vehicle for work. Thought I needed new brakes, but they told me I still had brake life left.

Affordable and painless. Went in for a a mind-boggling issue with my work truck after a week or so of it being off the road do to our tech not being able to troubleshoot the issue. They solved my issue and had me back on the road in no time. Apparently the truck had a kill switch installed no one could find but Dave Jelkes tech did in legitimately like 5 mins. God bless

So thankful this place exists. Incredibly clean shop, very professional service. Honest and dependable treatment is what you receive here. I no longer worry about where I ll take my car or even if it ll have a problem because I know if I take it here, it will be honestly taken care of. Very honest people to deal with. Tofer, the master mechanic on site, is super enthusiastic and professional. There's really not a problem these guys can't figure out. Would highly recommend to anyone

Fixed my heater core from being clogged. I went somewhere else to change thermostat and they didn't bother checking to see if vehicle had heat. All in all, Jelkes is the place to go. Very reasonable on price. Thank youWill definitely go to them for now on

Chris and Deb were great, in a road trip across the country on the way back in Indiana, my serpentine belt went. Chris did a fabulous job of getting and putting a new belt on. It was done very efficiently and quickly. Also at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Dave Jelke's Auto Repair. Great People and Service.

Cris replaced our brakes and battery and did his usual expert job in a timely manner. It's been a couple months and we have had perfect results. Besides being honest and expert at everything we have asked to be done his office assistant is expert at writting up work orders in describing auto repair wanted. Also expert at scheduling and accomplishing as required. We've used Dave Jelke's service for 30 years with our cars.Services: Brakes, Battery

Took my super old car in, and he was honest with me, to the point of explaining that another shop could do the job cheaper because of having certain tools available to them. Who throws away a job that could give them easily $600-$700? A honest man does, who sent me away to a place with other equipment, and also the knowledge that when they try to get me to pay more, that I should be able to haggle them down to around $100. (That other place did try to get me for almost $400, but I got them down to $150)Without his honesty, I don't know what I would have done. My family will be bringing our cars only to this repair shop from now on.

I broke down on an trip across the country and these guys had me up and running with in the day. They went above and beyond and were very sympathetic to my situation. I was vulnerable as I had no other choice but to fix the problem. They did not take advantage of me. They were personable and friendly. Highly recommended. By the way, Dave, I ended up trading that Astro van in for a new Toyota Tacoma. The van continued to reveal new problems as went along on our trip. We made it back to Alaska safely and happily in the Tacoma. Thanks!

I bring my Jeep to these guys whenever I need anything done. Brought it in for brakes once. They noticed the pads were under lifetime warranty from a previous Napa mechanic and I got free parts replacement on them and only paid for 2 calipers and labor. The quote from another mechanic on the brakes just before I brought it to Jelke's was for calipers, rotors, and pads--- all together quoted for way more than I ended up paying here. They also made sure to give me the rebate info going on at the time on the calipers.Service: Brakes

I was told by a mechanic that I needed new brakes during an inspection when I bought my used truck. I was also quote nearly $1500 to replace the brakes by another local mechanic. Chris at Jelkes quoted me a much lower price, and when the truck was ready to be picked up I learned it didn't even need brakes. It's great to see a company putting honesty and integrity above profit. Chris also replaced a timing belt in my 95 ford ranger last year and it runs great! Nothing but great experiences at Dave Jelke's auto a repair.

I read a Google review to find Jelke's. I saw a 4.9 and good reviews so I thought I would give them a try because my car was sitting on the side of the road. The short version, $730 for a tune up, oil change and unauthorized parts. After I complained, they took off $80 for unauthorized labor. I am not a guy who usually does reviews but I was very disappointed and told them I would review them before they did repairs.

I went into Jelke's Auto Repair with an emergency because a bearing was heating up on my trailer. Having a 200 mile drive ahead of me to get back home, it wasn't an option to try to "ride it out". Chris got me in quickly, jacked up the trailer (which was loaded down), and found a badly burned bearing. Within a couple of hours, he had the bearing cups and cones ordered, delivered, and installed, at a reasonable rate. It is great to find a really talented mechanic when you are out of town and in trouble. To top it off, we had several conversations (similar ages, Chris 61, Me 71) about the old days as he was waiting on the parts and while working on the trailer. Such a great experience coming out of a potentially disastrous situation. What a delight for the people in LaPorte Indiana to have this guy available.

This is the most honest repair shop you'll find any where. I take my cars and my kids cars there for all work. I took my van in and indicated I thought I needed new brakes all around and new rotors. Pleasantly surprised that I only needed back brakes repaired and that's all he did. A few months ago at an oil change at another shop it was recommended that my daughter needed new brakes. Took it to Jelke's to have it done because I knew it would be cheaper. He called a couple hours later and said that the brakes had a few more thousand miles yet. Cost is always reasonalble

Chris and Deb are super helpful but mostly I love that they are so honest. I have been to plenty of auto shops where they see a woman coming and all of a sudden there are all kinds of repairs needed. If you have an emergency repair this is also the place to go!

Traveling home for Christmas on the toll road when the driver's side windshield wiper stopped working. He sent us back on our way within a few minutes with a smile and a "Merry Christmas". So thankful!

Had oil changes for 2 vehicles. Reasonably priced.. Would take my dually too, but they don't have a lift big enough.
