I want to preface this review with the fact that the people at Stellhorn RV are very nice and welcoming. They have a very nice, albeit small, showroom that is a joy to walk through. Everyone from the owner on down was always courteous and approachable. I never felt any of the usual sales pressure tactics whenever I was there walking around. However, if you were wondering if the rumor was true that the service industry when it comes to RVs is a disaster, you need not look any further. This place is the proof the rumor is true. Having bought my RV from Stellhorn I would have thought I would get preferential treatment in terms of my unit being serviced on an expedited schedule. In the two years I have owned my new unit it has spent over six months sitting in the service lot at Stellhorn for warranty work, after which the unit came back to me with new issues such as gaps in the sealant or plastic trim pieces completely missing. This latest stint that is not included in this six month total was for almost 2 and a half months. I had to bring my unit back for a warranty issue that was not properly fixed the first time. In addition to that, there were a total of 4 items that I wanted addressed, out of warranty and out of my own pocket, that were pointed out to the service manager during drop off. Flash forward over two months later and upon pick up of my unit NONE of the items were fixed. TWO AND A HALF MONTHS?!?!? And this after asking multiple times for status updates on the items I wanted fixed over the weeks and months while it sat there and being reassured that everything would be taken care of. To make matters worse they took payment over the phone for the service they performed because I would need to pick up the unit after hours only to find the work I paid for was never done. Now I get to try and get a refund. I am just appalled. When you call and leave a voicemail and only get a return phone call half of the time that s a problem. When it takes two weeks to get a quote for service or parts that s a problem. When a customer s unit is sitting there for so long that the service management forgets what work needs to be done and doesn t even to confirm that is has been performed before charging the customer that s a problem. I plan on buying many RVs throughout the course of my life but none of them will be from here. It s a shame because they are all very nice people and that s why it s two stars instead of one but nice doesn t replace incompetence.

Everyone involved with our purchase of this beautiful fifth wheel was incredible. Rachel, Brody, Zane, and April. I do not know what else to say. Their customer service was off the charts. When we trade up, we will be back!

I want to let everyone know that I had the warranty for life work done on my 2020 Alpine Fifth Wheel . I also had the wheel bearings repacked . New material put on my awning. The furnace fixed . The camper was washed , waxed and buffed to looking new again . I was very happy with the work and all of the people that work for Stellhorn RV . William Kokomo, IN

Stellar customer service from the service department, especially from Ashley. We had a warranty repair, and she communicated with us through each step of the process. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Incredibly honest, friendly, and knowledgeable about the sales process from beginning to end!Quick easy transaction with no run around at all.Have purchased several rvs and this was the easiest transaction! If they stock the next model I buy I would buy it from them with no hesitation.

Went there to look at some campers. Found out that they keep them all locked up. Didn't want to be followed around and gave someone to open them up to look inside. Drove almost 2 hours to look around. Just wanted to see what they had to offer. Wish you guys would keep them unlocked so that people can see what their getting just like some of the other camper stores does. Went to another camper store and all their campers were unlocked and never was hassled by a sales person. Big turn off was to followed around like a kid

What a positive experience!! Our salesman Brody was very knowledgeable and did not make us feel rushed in looking at the camper. He was so helpful in finding out all of the information we needed. The service staff was excellent explaining the necessary add ons every camper needs, but never tried to oversell us anything. The paperwork was easy and did not take hours of sitting there waiting. We would highly recommend them.

My husband and I searched for several weeks and at several dealerships looking for a nice travel trailer. We actually looked everywhere within about 50 miles before visiting Stellhorn. We found a couple we liked and the possibility of having a couple transported to Kokomo. However, we found that other dealers just didn t follow up or seem to care if we bought a camper from them or not. One place in particular completely ignored our budget and kept showing us trailers well above the range we provided.Stellhorn was actually a very pleasant experience. The salesman, Brody, listened to our wants, needs and didn t try to sell us something we can t afford. He wasn t the typical slimy salesman and was extremely pleasant to work with and very personable. We were also pleasantly surprised with the finance guy. I have been in high pressure situations where extended warranty etc were literally shoved down my throat to the point where I left without a deal. This was not that kind of experience. He explained the warranty, the benefits and the cost but when we declined, he accepted our decision and didn t attempt to bully us into it. We greatly appreciated that. The whole financing process was easy and painless. Actually, when we went to sign the paperwork and showed a lower sale price at another dealership, he did some research and with the exception of an upgrade our camper had that the lower priced one did not, he matched the price. 1000% would shop here again. Even if this camper turns out to be a lemon, that s on the manufacturer, not Stellhorn. The final walk through was pretty thorough and we were all around just pleased with our entire experience at Stellhorn. This was not our first camper purchase but definitely the most pleasant.Thank you!!!If only they had thrown in a palm tree, it would have been six stars.

Great dealership. We had some timing issues when buying our 5th wheel and they were very helpful and accommodating. We ve worked with a nation RV chain in the past and found Steelhorn s customer service blows those guys away-and they were very knowledgeable. We drove all the way from Florida to do business here and we re NOT disappointed. Thanks and a special shout out to Brody and Steve-O as well as all the other helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Everyone was super nice. We started off already kind of knowing what we wanted and found Stellhorn online. Decided to make the 2 hour trip to see if we could find something we loved but still in our price range. We walked in was met by our salesman Jacob. He was so great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and just made you feel like he was a friend helping you find something. He asked us what we had in mind. We walked through quite a few. We talked narrowed it down to 2 ran some numbers without actually running a hard inquiry on our credit. Ended up getting 1 of the 2 we really wanted. Jacob said we will get it all cleaned up and ready for you guys and set up a walk through and pick up day. Fast forward a week we drove back over met Jacob he introduced us to one of their service techs (sorry I forget his name) younger kid but was very knowledgeable, informative and answered all our questions before we had a chance to ask during the walk through. He took us through everything in our camper has to offer room by room, made sure we seen the tvs work, the fireplace, walked us through how everything works. Also told us what to use or not to use to make our camper last longer. All in all sorry I don't remember everyone's name but we met or talked with at least 4 to 5 employees and they all were so nice and helpful. Highly recommend! Well worth the drive.

Great Place to do Business. Brody took the time to show us the camper multiple times and answer any and all questions we had. Steve-o was very thorough on his walk thru and took time to make sure I had any and all information I needed before I left. Robert and Zach were great as well. Overall an awesome experience and highly recommend Stellhorn RV to anyone looking for a camper.

Very disappointed in the service at Stellhorn. Took my RV in for repairs as I was in need of repairs and was to busy to fit in the repairs myself. They then had my RV for 4 days and did nothing but take my steps off my RV. I made the mistake of asking them to fill my propane tank, had no idea they were going to charge me over $9.00 a gallon when I could have got it for 1.74. Make sure to ask for pricing before you have them do anything. I picked up my RV and got charged over 250 for nothing. I trouble shot the problems in 30 minutes on my own and found 3 fuses blown. This should have been a quick and easy find for an RV repair shop. I don't and won't recommend this shop to anyone. Wish I could put 0 stars.Update on my review; There is now a new service manager (John) in charge at Stellhorn, and he was more than understanding on my issues. He has since called and gone above and beyond to make things right, and with what seems to be a new team in place I will be giving them another shot at earning my future business. Updating to 4 stars for their understanding and making things right. Hopefully all future service is 5 star applicable.

I recently took my travel trailer in for some warranty work and had a very pleasant experience. John went above and beyond to identify the problems and even included me in the decision making to find a solution. Top notch service. Whether it s buying a new trailer or needing some repair work, Stellhorn RV is the place to go!!!

The service team is awesome, friendly and very helpful. The door key to my RPod broke off just as we were leaving home for a trip. We called ahead to STELLHORN because they were not far off our route. Asked if they could help.Steve said they didn t have a replacement key, but stop in to see what they could do.When we arrived an hour later one of the guys dropped everything to stand in the drizzle and replace my lock.I was on my way shortly.Happy to do business with them.

We purchased our first travel trailer from Stellhorn's. Brody did a great job of showing us several trailers and we settled on the CruiserRV MPG 2100RB. The purchasing transition went very smooth and the service techs did a great job of prepping the trailer and getting the add-ons installed for us. After a couple of short camping trips, we had a couple issues and the service dept. did a quick and efficient job of taking care them. The staff are all friendly and take their customers concerns seriously!!

Kinda disappointed how things work at this dealership. I asked if this dealership could match or beat a price on a particular rv by a competitor. They said they would try.. When they couldn't, I called the dealership and the salesman was "Out at a Expo" and no one else at this dealership could help because they were "To Busy." It took them a week to mail me back the deposit I had put on a rv with this company... People have always said that small dealerships usually provide better service then the larger chain dealerships... Well in my instance, that was not the case.

Price was great. That was the end of our good experience. Purchased new and told have to wait 3 months for warranty service. Plus our sales guy didn't seem to know anything about the camper itself. Then the service manager runs down the quality when we called for repairs and really bad mouthed the manufacturer. Not happy campers.UPDATE: Although it took more than one trip back Vince and the crew kept at it til everything was fixed. (Parts were delayed the first time) I am updating the review to a 3 star simply because they were persistent and made good on the warranty repairs.

Took my camper in for some repairs and when I dropped it off I asked them if my belongings would be safe. They assured me yes we have a camera on it. When I picked it up my library of over 100 dvds were gone. They paid me $100 but later noticed the decorative pillows were gone also. Pretty bad that my belongings were not safe while on the lot Be careful.

Bought our dream camper here! What a great group of people to work with, never once pushed us into a camper, and gave us the best deal out of many places we compared them to. We saved thousands compared to other dealers and got a more family like feel from Tri-County then any where else. We will recommend this place to any and all friends and family looking to find a great camper!

BUYER BEWARE: They've tried fixing our a.c. FIVE times and it still doesnt work and now cant get a response out of the owner. The pump under the fridge leaked and warped the wood by the fridge...all they did to fix it was flip it backwards to hide the warping. Pictures attached and more of our nightmare customer service experience below. Our AC never worked (bought it in winter so we didnt miss out on such a good price). We told them about it mid-late March and Joe told me it wasnt cold enough for the condensor to kick on yet, call back next week. Next week comes, even hotter in outside temp, and the fan and AC still blow the same temperature air! The inside camper temp was in the 70s and the windows open wasnt enough- we needed the AC. We call them and they come look at it. But, they show up an hour and 20 minutes later than scheduled AND never bothered to call or text saying theyd be late. I had to call! So They order a new one but dont tell us its any different from our factory AC. I walk in the door and say "oh its different". The tech says "Yeahhh, ive been meaning to talk to you about that" ??? This replacement ac was a dial right on the unit, not connected to our thermostat which my husband did not like. So we told them the factory one needs to go in, the off-brand replacement voids warranty. They get our factory AC in and install it, cant get it to work. The techs BLAME IT ON THE CAMPGROUND!!!! (Mind you, we're not even at the same spot). I am furious because the off-brand AC was bigger in size and They DRILLED HOLES IN OUR CEILING WITHOUT EVEN ASKING!! Now that the factory AC is back in, the holes are visible. They say they need to come back and troubleshoot it and they'll fill the holes, so they do. That night, the HEAT doesn't work! We text the owner, hes going to fix it blah blah blah. Another day passes and theres water on the floor over by our fridge. The sink is far away, and we dont leave spills. So upon further inspection, I notice the pump is leaking and has of course warped the wood by the fridge. We call them and they come pick it up and take it to their shop but show up TWO HOURS and 5 minutes LATE!! They have it for TWO WEEKS and we discover that they have pried the damaged board off with screw drivers and damaged surrounding wood, only to flip the board around backwards to "fix" it. The tech told me he fixed it and I asked how you fix OSB without just replacing it and he assured me they replaced it. They said the heat not working was a wire that just needed switched around. We get the camper to the campground and the AC seems to be working, but it was evening so naturally cooling off. The next day the AC clearly isnt working because the temp inside was 77 at 9:30am after being like 60 at 6am when my husband left for work. I go get groceries and come back to find my dogs panting and laying on the floor miserable because its 86 degrees in here with the supposed working AC!!! Water dripping from the AC unit and the condensor has frozen up (on this so called brand new AC). My husband gets home from work and discovers that there's 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick frost on the condensor which is why its not working. So we call Doug Stellhorn and tell him. He says he'll talk to forest river about it and see what they say. We're still waiting on a new AC unit which should be in the shop next Tuesday or Wednesday, but they are now refusing to come to us to service the camper. Bringing it to them is not an option as my husband travels for work and lives here. (Yes, they are aware of this because allowing them to have it for two weeks was hassle enough). Now we cant get ahold of the owner at all.I called Forest River directly and they told me that the first warranty claim Stellhorn submitted has not even been authorized yet. So my question then is this: is this really even a new AC unit or the original one that came with our camper?? I have so many frustrations and questions that I will never have answered. If youve read this far, you probably already know- BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Starting to explore travel ideas and wanted to look at used campers to get a beginning point on them for a trip trying to plan for October. Nice sales people. I will keep an eye on the website! Thank you.

I had a great experience with Tri County trailers. The trailer purchase was quick and hassle-free. I appreciate the straight-forward no-BS approach. There are no extra doc and prep fees - price + sales tax is what you'll pay. The advice and help Andrew, Tom, Steve, and Kristy gave was invaluable. To the person that complained about trailers being all over the place and being inconvenienced in town - I'd be glad to have this business in my town. Businesses like this help other local businesses, increasing tax revenue, and improving town, county, and state services. Growing pains happen, and I for one am proud to see them being successful!

We have been waiting over 2 months for the title to our brand new camper. No one will give us any honest answers about the status of our paperwork. They won't answer emails, or work with us to find out the status of a title.I have worked for years in customer service and auto sales and this is BY FAR the WORST experience I have ever had. You would think having paid in full for our camper they would treat us with a little more respect and honesty. This, AFTER we made a recommendation to family who ALSO purchased from them.Never again.
