On March 23rd of 2023 my family purchased a 2012 Chevy Traverse with 115,000 miles from Adams Auto Group in Kokomo, IN. According to our research, the main concern with this model was ensuring the timing chain was replaced at around 70,000-120,000 miles. The vehicle advertised, BRAND NEW TIMING CHAIN! . We took every bit of money we had, $4,562 and took out a $4,000 loan from a 3rd party to pay a total of $8,562. On July 8th of 23, the vehicle lost all power (reduced power mode) then died. We had it towed to Adams to see what the issue was. Their service department declared it was the timing chain that broke and caused engine damage. They did not charge us and after a couple weeks they said they had fixed the bent valves and damage caused by the timing chain, and replaced the timing chain. We received the vehicle back and it had no, check engine , light on and ran. We discovered the vehicle was leaking about half a quart of oil every other day, but could not find a leak anywhere. I took the vehicle into Adams again to see if they could fix it. They said they were sure they found the issue and needed to drill some kind of hole in a part of the engine to fix it. They charged us $300 for the service. Whatever they did, it didn't fix the issue and still was losing oil somewhere. We religiously made sure to check and add oil accordingly every time before driving the vehicle. On about March 18th, the vehicle lost all power,(reduced power mode) and died the exact same way it did when the, BRAND NEW! , timing chain broke the first time. A week after towing the vehicle to Adams, they said the vehicle needed a new engine and was, locked up. They said they found an engine with 105,000 miles on it for $2,000 and they would charge $3,000 for the labor to fix the vehicle. I still owe over $3,000 on the loan. I can not afford that and asked what they could do for me to trade it for something else. They offered to put only, $1,000 towards another purchase. I could not afford any of those options and opted to just have it towed home. On top of everything else, they refused to release my vehicle until I paid a $103 Diagnostic fee . I asked for a print out of the diagnostic they ran and they were unable to produce it and admitted they didn't do anything but find out the engine wouldn't start. After doing more research, vehicles that have a timing chain break usually need a new engine because the damage done to the valves and other components can never be completely fixed and will eventually cause the engine to lock up from friction. This entire situation arose from either selling a faulty timing chain in the first place or some service error upon installing the timing chain. Please, Beware of this car lot and spending your hard earned money here.

I would not recommend service there....they diagnosed my car as being a shutter assembly..I paid them 1oo dollers ..I replaced it myself because there cost was astronomical ...after I installed new unit check engine light stayed on....I asked them to take it out ..they said my cost would be another $100.... obviously they were mad I did work myself..they said my machine cost 25,000 thousand dollarsI guess they wanted me to pay for that too.....Bad customer service in my bookI only asked them to diagnose...

I Wish i read the reviews before buying there if i could give a lower star i would as well as some have said bought a vehicle there and go to sell it and turns out it has a dirty background and now im stuck with it im going to consult with a lawyer bc i asked for the car fax when buying it and they stated they use a different program bc car fax is to expensive go back they didn't offer to help me in any form of way i hope they go out of business for treating people like this

Our Sales Consultant, Aaron Adams, was very kind and helpful. He was not pushy like some of the other used car dealerships we visited. Our Town& Country was totaled in a car wreck previously that week and we found it's replacement with Adams Auto Group!! The purchasing process went very smoothly. Very professional & polite staff. We even visited their service department, for a small tour, ( to which I was very familiar with from my prior work history) very clean service department.Thank You Aaron for the wonderful service.

I purchased a Jeep Unlimited from here. It was the lowest miles Jeep on the lot out of 11 of them. Purchased it on Thursday, Friday the entire family was headed to a friends in Chicago. About 20 miles north of Lafayette on 65 with the cruise set at 68 the transmission downshifted going up hill and the engine blew up. Called Adams and they immediately sent a flatbed with enough room for everyone. They didn t even shrug a shoulder and looked for another engine with less miles. They could not find one so they paid for a brand new motor with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty. A few months later the exhaust system failed due in part to the engine failure. They worked with me and we came to an agreement me paying for half since the catalytic converters were at 80% of their life expectancy. In my book this dealership went above and beyond what I expected and I would definitely bring my business back here. The picture with the top on is where the engine blew and it was empty!

Would recommend lower stars if I could. Owner lied to my face and said he deals in only honesty. Sold me a truck with an engine full of scrap metal with very little life left in it. Told me it was my problem and proceeded to tell me to get an attorney. Would not recommend buying from this VERY shady dealer.

I was referred to Adam's Auto by a friend that had an excellent experience with them. The moment I contacted them one of the sales team associates (Barbie Moore) responded and got to work on getting me in a vehicle. She was very polite and professional and did an awesome job! I will definitely go back! I was extremely happy through the entire process and I loved the experience and my new truck. I highly recommend Adam's Auto LLC to anyone looking to get a dependable vehicle and improve their credit in the process.

I want to tell of the pure professionalism of Adam's Auto Group. 1st had and issue with the payment thought it was due to holiday. But he was patient and kind. Then the check engine light came on they fixed my car. Aaron is a professional and his pops is a hoot. I can not thank you enough for helping us into our 2 Chevy Cruzes. We will continue to do business with this company

My wife is in a power chair. We have a BraunAbility modified van that has a docking station to lock her in position. The dash button to automatically release her hasn t been working. Adams Motor Group does repairs. The technician spent 30 minutes trouble shooting and determined it was a solenoid. The Docking company saysAdams Motor Group isn t licensed to repair and won t allow them to join . But there was no charge for troubleshooting. Thanks Adams Motors.

Referred by a friend who got their vehicle from here. Seemed pretty honest and fair in pricing. We just needed a vehicle that ran and drove. Safe for our kids and wouldn't break down every 2 seconds. Happy with our purchase and already confident our next vehicle will be purchased from here as well.

Always been honest and upfront. Take my wife's car there for every oil change and tune up...tried another place in kokomo under my wife's suggestion because it was cheaper and did not have a good experience...will not try another place againI wont name any names but I left a review on them as a warning you can see on my profile looking at some of my other reviews. Also I think they offer financial help with repairs you cant afford...ive never tried using it before but ive seen signs around the waiting room for it and if your car is down it may help you get back and forth to work to even be able to PAY for the repairs...havent seen that option in any other places so im sure that could help out alot of people.

This dealership has a nice selection of vehicles to chose from and mine was wonderfully priced. I highly recommend Ryan Kinney as a salesman! My vehicle needed a manual and he was right on it and got me one. He was kind and very professional. All of the Adams staff I spoke with were great. I would definitely recommend Adams Auto Group for your next vehicle purchase!

I went in to get some work done..was told I had to make an appointment..made one as I was standing there talking and telling them all the problems I was having since they last checked it..I got it in and they only worked on one of the problems that wasn t even the main reason it was going in..to me they just don t want to do their work and they don t have good communication at all..now they are saying they can t get my car in till the end of the month..don t have me dropping my car off on a set date in your computer system and then not finish everything that was suppose to get fixed..and come up with all these excuses to why u can t finish the job when I had an appt with you!! Read the notes in the computer system that your secretary made notes on!!!!!!

Purchased my 2008 Town & Country in March 2015. I love my van & feel I paid a fair price according to my research of 4 auto valuation websites. Very glad I bought the service warranty because when I took it to the dealer for a recall repair, they found multiple issues that needed fixed and most all of it was covered by the warranty. If you are buying a used vehicle, get the warranty. We have purchased 4 other used vehicles from Adams with good results.

I bought a 98 Dakota in 1999 when they were on the corner on Apperson and Markland. It is now almost 2022 and I'm still driving my Dakota. That's 23 years folks! All I had to do was take care of my Dakota like I should have with regular maintenance. It's been a great truck. I'm very happy.

We worked with Brandon Crull to test drive and then purchase a Yukon XL. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed or pressured. Brandon and the sales manager worked with us on trading in our car and we had a great experience. The financing process was easy and fairly quick. I recently purchased a 2018 BMW Alpina B7 from Adams Auto Group East. I couldn t be more happier, pleased and satisfied with my experience at this dealership. My sales rep was Amirr and he helped out with everything from start to finish and made the process go so smoothly. I look forward to buying another vehicle from Amirr and Adams auto group in the near future and I highly recommend Adams Auto Group to anybody looking to buy a new vehicle. Their vehicle selection is top notch and the customer service is top notch as well. I ve had to call back several times to discuss things and I ve never had 1 issue with getting a call back or my questions answered. Although we didn't end up buying a vehicle from them. Salesmen Ryan as well as other staff were so friendly and helpful. They we're honest and not trying to rip us off which is refreshing to know there are sill kind people out there who aren't just looking out for themselves. Lots of good inventory and friendly staff!!

This was my first experience in buying A vehicle Mr Lopez was extremely helpful and very happy to answer every one of my many questions. He was never pushy and to tell the truth just a great salesman. They were the only ones in town that would give me a chance in financing. Their financing manager did everything in his power to put me in the car that I chose and he was able to at the end of the day which was great. Just a great experience all around there service department IS OUTSTANDING they've been able to help me with absolutely everything I've asked them to with my vehicle I've upgraded a few things of my own with my car and they were able to install aftermarket parts that I brought to them which was just great and very convenient. Everytime I speak to them they are just ready and and willing to help me with everything I need. I will be buying every car I get here in Kokomo from Adams they had a great selection and great financing options. Again just a great experience and thank you again mr. Lopez for everything you did for me!

Adams is very upfront with you on the repairs needed and the costs associated with the repairs. Not only did they repair the issue with my vehicle but they repaired several other issues for me and my bill was UNDER the original quote!!! Only place I will go from now on.

Throughout the purchasing process, my experience was great! My salesman, Patrick, was awesome and incredibly helpful, as was the rest of the staff. However, the problems started the day after I picked up the car. I had the vehicle back there the very next day with coolant pouring out of the engine and the CD player not working. I also mentioned that I was told that my car had Bluetooth, but I couldn t figure out how to set it up. They fixed the coolant issue (radiator cap wasn t tightened) and the CD player, but told me that my car did NOT have Bluetooth as I was told it would and I could only get it if I wanted to pay another $2000.After 3 months, they purchased me a device for $35 that still forces me to use my phone to do practically everything and say that they ve put enough money into my car and they re unwilling to do anything else.

Awesome staff, they will take care of anything that your car needs. Transmission technician is the best one in Kokomo in my opinion. The owner Brian Adams and his wife Barb are very friendly and will always put customers first. So go get a oil change, brakes and pads changed, swap motors or get your vehicle detailed to its fullest potential by Randy and Jordan or fully serviced by awesome service Techs. Need a bumper painted and Replaced then John an Chris will take care of your auto body repairs.

Where do I begin? I called and inquired about a 2006 Ford Explorer, was told by Eddie that it was in perfect shape and would not find one nicer! Based upon this I drove 68 miles to inspect the vehicle. When I arrived I immediately noticed body damage on the passenger side rear fender. It had been very poorly repaired. After introducing myself, I expressed my concern over the damage and repair. I still drove the vehicle and proceeded into negotiations! That did not take long as I was told it was recently reduced and the list price was the best they could do! I explained that the list price was to be for a straight vehicle with no body work! Nevertheless, I was sent away with no apology for my wasted trip, or offer to put me in a different vehicle! As I was leaving I suggested to my salesperson Eddie, that before he tell someone to drive 70 miles to look at a perfect vehicle, that he should walk around it first! My suggestion was responded to with F*** YOU! I politely told the Sales Manager of this who did not seem concerned, and then I called the owner who was "not available" left a message, but he did not return my call! Clearly this sale was very important to Eddie, as he was very disappointed that he was not going to be paid! As I drove over an hour back home, I realized that this dealership must be struggling to become so upset over a lost sale, and truly felt bad for Eddie and the management team! They are clearly desperate to make a sale even if it means wasting a customers time and money! I would steer clear of this low class used car dealership!

I have had a horrible experience with Adam's Auto. My salesman name was Eddie. I bought an 05 GMC Envoy from them. After I had made my purchase it would not start. It was in the repair shop for two weeks while they tried to figure out what was wrong. Since day one, I noticed that the car was using oil but never could find a leak because it has been blowing through the exhaust. It now has a lifter knock and need a new engine a year later. I still have $10,000 to pay on it. I purchased a warranty with the vehicle and they never told me that it would only cover up to $3000. My husband and I were in the room when I asked the gentleman if the warranty would cover all costs and he told us that it would. They were only wanting to make a sale. They had no intensions of making things right from the beginning. I told them before I bought the car that the rear heat did not work and that it needed to be fixed because I have children that sit in the back. They said that they would fix it and never did. Instead the salesman said just get rid of the kids and you will be fine. What a low blow when a mother of three is looking for dependability.

I just bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Adams. The Sales Associate Kirk treated my mom and I really well. He did not push us into making a decision on the spot like most Sales Associate would, he was very helpful and guided us thru the vehicle buying process smoothly. The Financing manner Steve is also really nice. He explained all of the paper work clearly and throughly. The people at Adam's are really friendly and I would definitely recommend this car dealership to my friends and family!

I had good experiences with Adams for a couple of years but the last time was disastrous. My daughter's car needed transmission work and when we went to pick it up the car wouldn't start and a mechanic had to come out and reattach something to get it started. It shook terribly and they said that would stop after she drove it a while. It didn't and we took the car back only to be told they had done nothing wrong and didn't offer any resolution to the problem. It still shakes and no one can seem to find out why.
