I will never go to these greedy people again! Had a problem with my headlights going out while driving at night. Told them exactly what was happening and took my car in to get it fixed. Got my car the next day, so me and my girlfriend drive it around at night to see if anything happens. My girlfriend puts it on brights and it goes on. Within a minute it shuts off for about 5 seconds and comes back on. So we pull into a gastation and sit there with the headlights on. They go off twice within a minute of being on. The next day we're driving at night and with the regular headlights on it shuts off then comes back on. We never had a problem with the brights before I took my car in to get fixed. At first we just put on the brights and they never shut off. But all a sudden when they say they fixed it ,it gets worse. Finally was able to take it back and it took two days for them to fix it. Charged me 277 and the part only cost like 62 dollars. It would've been great if they would of fixed it the first time. But no I have to pay my hard earned money for people that can't even do the job right the first time. Smh!

Recently had to take my 2017 dodge rebel in to diagnose a cam sensor issue. The original diagnostic and fix were fast and affordable. Unfortunately a few days later my motor suffered a catastrophic failure which was unrelated to the original issue. Automasters (Chris especially) did a great job of explaining everything and giving me several options when it came to this specific issue. In the end Chris was able to find a remanufactured motor and the mechanics got me all taken care of. Longest part was waiting for the motor to be delivered. Throughout this experience I never had the thought or feeling that I was being taken advantage of which is very valuable to me as a customer. I highly recommend automasters to anyone that has vehicle maintenance needs.

Noble County Tire recommended I come here to fix an oil leak, which was coming from the nut in the oil pan. They wanted to steam clean my engine, have me drive around, and come back when I already knew what the problem was. I went somewhere else, where they fixed the problem in less than two hours for $80.

These guys will always "Shoot straight" with you. A line I like to take is they want to fix your car not take your money. Only place around that I can trust that they will do what needs done and give you a good rate on it.

Had my jeep fixed when I picked it up still had the same problem. I took it back and they figured it out. The code didn't show up the 1st time but then it did on the 2nd visit but I spent 250.00 and still had the same problem what do you think?

Had the engine replaced with a used engine that I provided and they changed me $1,700. When they said the vehicle was finished, I found they d broken off the transmission dipstick by about an inch so I couldn t get an accurate read on the transmission fluid level. Had to replace it at my own expense. Also, the AC used to blow ice cold when they got it. Now it only blows tepid air. God knows what I m going to have to pay to get that fixed, because they had no reason to discharge or mess with the air conditioning other than swap the AC compressor from the old engine to the replacement engine. That can be done without having to discharge the AC system. They also did something to the fuel fill door because now I get a message check fuel inlet every time I start the car. I would NOT recommend Automasters even to someone I didn t like!!!When they replied, they tried to tell me the AC works. Seems funny because it DOESN T. Where I come from, if you take something apart, you put it back exactly the way it was, or don t even mess with it. In addition, if you re going to call someone a liar, either directly or by innuendo, you d better be able to prove it. Automasters is the PITTS!If I could have rated them 1/4 star that would be closer than the one star I gave them, so I was being more than generous!!!

We are from Ohio and broke down just outside of kendallville. They looked very busy but still squeezed us in and got us taken care of so we could make it back home safely the same day. Very nice people.

We called for service. They gave us a date to bring in the vehicle 8 days later. Brought the vehicle in, they looked at it the next day and called me. They said they fixed the oil pan gasket seal and put on a new muffler, and bled the main cylinder on the clutch. They were waiting for a driver side window and it would be Wednesday of the next week for it to be done. Another week goes by, and when I called on that Wednesday they said they would work on it the next day. That day, we learned that they hadn t done anything to the truck. They just started on the muffler and the gasket seal. Now they couldn t fix the window. Too hard to get one. I went over there and saw the truck on the lift. The muffler was done and the mechanic was taking the oil pan off to fix the gasket. It was 1:15 on Wednesday. Thursday called, still trying to change the oil pan gasket. Won t be done until Friday. Now it s Friday and they re almost closed. Still no truck. 16 days in the shop for a muffler, an oil pan gasket, and to bleed a cylinder. Really?Service: Exhaust

Great, quick service. Very transparent. Upon leaving, there was a small problem with the car that could have been my fault or theirs. Impossible to tell. That said, they took care of me and got me back on the road at no additional charge.Thank you! Highly recommend

I have a 2008 town and country that was making front end noise. I got it diagnosed as a wheel bearing issue. They gave me a quote on repair. I felt it was a very fair quote and had the repair done. The staff is always informative of any issues I have and very professional. I have had a lot of repairs done here and I will continue to recommend them to people for your automotive repair needs

Strap in! These guys deserve a review that's as great as their service. It turns out in order to get the best mechanic service in kendallive you just need to keep driving..all the way into the historic downtown.I cant stress enough the great service of Automotive Masters. If your like me and are reading this review looking for your "forever" mechanic then this is the place.A normal mechanic shop usually goes as follows. You bring your car in, they take your key and when its done you get that dreaded phone call that goes something like this, "your flexcapisotor is malfunctioning and here is the insane amount to fix it. "After this phone call you hang up and feel....not ok. Obviously you need this amazing feat of the collective human intellect to move your family across the planet and great speeds safely, but are we sure that's what's wrong it?If your like me, cars are a tad bit more then a machine to move you around. Vehicles have the personal touch and its almost offending when you get that call about something you know not alot about.Automasters is different, but in a good way. My car was taken in, we talked a great deal about the vehicle, and he listened and I felt as if he really did care about a vehicle not running well. He even took the time to bring out car parts from the back to explain to me what could be going on....(I know right! we are off to a great start)Fast forward a few days these guys are trying there best to not only locate a misfire, but find out why and a solution. Here comes another great point....they kept me involved during the whole process! At one point I had to get person belongs out of the vehicle and which point they took the time to show and explain to me what they are doing and possible solutions! Before I close and let you go experience how a mechanic shop should be ran, its important to note this. If your looking for the best service and the lowest price I cant honestly answer if they are your perfect solution as I do not have enough knowledge to answer that. The price seemed extremely fair to me. However, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get there car fixed right by passionate mechanics, who care about your vehicle, and want to the best job they can at fixing your vehicles. Its become on of my favorite pastimes to just talk to people at automaster, because they certainly do have the knowledge and passion to repair your vehicle...the right way

These people are near impossible to get a hold of since calls always go directly to voicemail which they never return, and I was quoted $1,200 to replace balls joints, 1 of which I had just replaced. National average is $200 per ball joint, so since I had 3 left that needed replaced, that'd be $600. So they were quoted me double! I don't see how they got such good reviews from other people, but I was sorely disappointed. And after 6 days of them having my truck, I eventually just gave up and took my truck back. Won't be back again.

As you can see from the response the people there can barely formulate literate sentences. It was never in a wreck as 2 credible and accredited ASE mechanics have said. And come to find out not one mechanic at automasters is ASE certified.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

They are a great place, the employees are awesome. We were on our way to Albany Ga. From my Mom's funeral when our truck had a water pump blow out. We went to the garage and they found other issues. They helped us out so much. I wish I lived locally I would use them all the time. They DIDN'T take advantage of the problem like so many garages do. They made this mishap as pleasent as it could be I would recommend them to everyone around or having problems traveling thru the area.

Not bad quality on the job but 1900 dollars for brakes is a little too much. Car runs great though

The brakes had went out on my car, and I did not have time to make the repair myself due to my job. Called AutoMasters on a Thursday night and they were able to give me an appointment for the very next morning. They completed the repair, which consisted of new brake pads, new rotors, one new brake caliper and an oil and oil filter change. All of this they were able to complete by the end of business the same day. They also called and informed me of exactly what needed done before proceeding with any repairs. That was definitely appreciated.Edit: Two weeks later, my vehicle suffered sudden engine failure, which, I in no way attribute to Automasters. A friend of mine who owns a Towing and Recovery company towed the vehicle to Automasters. He and I unloaded my vehicle and pushed it into a parking spot that we were unaware it should not be parked in. An older gentleman, either the owner or one of the owners, came up to us and was immediately EXTREMELY rude over where we parked my car. He talked down to us, and treated us as though we were dirt under his feet. Apparently where we had put the car would hinder parking for the breakfast house next door that his wife owned. The two businesses share a parking lot with no signs or markings directing customers where to park. His wife was there for this exchange, but herself was very polite, even trying to offer to help push the car. We of course thanked her and said we could manage. My immediate thoughts in regards to the gentleman's rudeness and unprofessionalism were that here I was, potentially getting ready to spend thousands of dollars on a repair, only to be treated like garbage. The diagnosis ended up being that my car needed a new engine which they began to look for while I tried to decide if I was going to go ahead with the expense of the repair. I decided against it, and went to collect my vehicle, and discovered that when they had removed it from their shop, that they had left a window down for some reason and it had of course rained more than once. They also took parts that they had removed from the engine (valve covers, cam shafts etc) and laid them directly on both front floorboards, staining the carpet with engine oil in the process. Just because I was not having them complete the repair didn't necessarily mean I did not intend on having the repair done. The final and worst problem....... with the window down it did not really matter too much that the doors were not locked. Either way there was absolutely no deterrent for the thieves that didn't even have to break into my vehicle to steal everything of value that was in it. GPS system, stereo system, DVD system, speakers, floor jack, every single tool in the vehicle used in the event of a breakdown, even my children's booster seats. I did not return to Automasters to complain because I was afraid I would stoop to the level of unprofessionalism displayed by the owner. I was also advised I most likely had no recourse anyway and that they would deny any wrongdoing. The only problem I am still left with is I have yet to be able to figure out who is worse, the pathetic cowardly thieves or their enabler, Automasters.I rank five stars for the initial repair, 0 stars for everything thereafter.

I was from out of town, Chris and Automasters helped me out immensely, the drive shaft had gone out and I took it to a different shop initially, and this initial shop(not gonna name names) totally misdiagnosed the problem, I then brought it to Chris and Automasters and they were very helpful, I was very thankful to have found Automasters, their service was professional, courteous and reasonable, Thanks Chris!
