Best Jeep repair around, hands down! I have a 1988 Jeep YJ that no one has been able to figure out. One day it would run great and the next day struggle. I brought it to a few garages with no luck and I even had one shop refuse looking at because it has a carburetor. I called Jefferson Auto and talked to Jennifer who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring. I brought my Jeep in and Marley and Art took the time to go everything. From replacing leaky seals to taking apart the carb and thoroughly cleaning it. I never thought my old Jeep could run so well! Thank you guys!

Jennifer took awesome care of me! These extremely experienced Jeep Wrangler specialists replaced the 3.8 liter engine in my 2010 Wrangler JK and I struggle to hear it running at times! Amazing crew that absolutely are the go to for Wrangler owners! As with any total engine replacement the minor hiccups were addressed quickly and professionally! I ll be back there as my 2010 Wrangler JK needs more minor repairs as any 13 year old vehicle will require! If you drive a Jeep your done looking for an honest experienced shop!Great job folks and Thanks for reviving my BABY

Had a car in for a simple fix. Broken window mechanism. Window wouldn't roll up. Three or four days later, I got word the job was done. I went in, paid for the work and took my car home. Discovered that I STILL could not crank the window, it was far harder than it should be. I took it back and he simple stood by the door and cranked the window. His muscles flexed tight, it was that hard to roll up. Then he said, "It's okay. It works fine."I could not roll it up, sitting in the car but HE, standing over the window, required a lot of muscle to roll it up, but he said, "It's okay." Wouldn't fix it. Wouldn't refund the money paid for the fix. That was the last time I took a vehicle to him. And I was one of his biggest cheerleaders when he first opened shop. Took his business cards by the dozens and gave them to everybody and anybody. Actually helped build his business.Now? No more. I tell the stories of his lack of integrity and constantly warn people away from his business.In other words...DON'T TRUST HIM!GO ELSEWHERE FOR SERVICE!!!!

My Jeep was having a steering issue so I took it to JAR in hopes that it just needed an alignment but I was way off. They told me I needed a new drag link flip kit to totally correct my issue. That was gonna cost me a nice $800! I went there expecting to Shell out about a $100 or $150. So needless to say I couldn't get the work done. The reason They get a 5 from me is their customer service. The young man and woman I spoke to told me exactly what was wrong with my Jeep and why. They spent a good 20 minutes with me already knowing I wasn't able to spend that much money. They didn't try to rush me off. They were very polite to me and just made me feel comfortable. I wish I could've got the work done because they deserved it. In the future, I'll definitely be back. If you're new to the Jeep world like me and need work done or if you had a Jeep all your life and just need a mechanic shop you can count on to shoot you straight, call Jeff Auto Repair.

Took my 95 ranger here last summer, they charged me $1,100 for a transmission replacement. When I picked the truck up the engagement point on the clutch was nothing like it was previously and the gears would grind if I put it in reverse with the engine running. At first I thought it may have been that I wasn t used to the new clutch but the problem persisted. I called the shop and brought it back in, they said they were unable to fully bleed the lines because a floor mat was stuck underneath the pedal, but they had corrected it. When I picked it up it had to be forced into gears 1 and 2, and the gears still ground unless I turned the engine off to shift to reverse. I took it back and they told me they test drove it and it was all good. The reverse issue and sticky gearshift issue never went away and I was too frustrated to return it to the shop a third time to be given the runaround and be without my car for 2 days. A year later my transmission at times grinds with the clutch fully depressed and has to be forced into gear to the point that I hit my knuckles on the dash when it finally goes in. Hate to negatively review a local business, especially so long after, but that was too much money to only last a year, and be broken the entire time. Turned an admittedly worn but perfectly functional truck into a hunk of junk I m now stuck with. Maybe they re great with jeeps but I d never guess that based on this experience.I did call and bring it in twice and nothing was done either time. The fact that it was the clutch and not the full transmission is just semantics, my concern is that whatever was repaired was done incorrectly. Very convenient to say we would have been happy to fix that now that actually fixing it is off the table.Service: Transmission

Wish I could give them 6 stars! We came from out of town to purchase a newer 4x4 truck and needed to have an inspection done prior to purchasing. The price was very reasonable for the total vehicle inspection! We were very satisfied with the service we received and the attention to detail, the inspection was very thorough. We would recommend them for any vehicle inspection especially 4x4! We left feeling overly impressed!

I can anyways depend on them only fixing what I brought my car in for. If there are other issues, they have only brought them to my attention when it truly was something I needed to address. The owner is a military vet and I trust them with anything I bring in because they never price gouge or tell you something is wrong that isn't. I urge you to trust then over ANY other "mechanic".

I don t usually leave rating or reviews. But Jeffersonville auto did a fantastic job. They was slammed busy the morning I dropped my car off, They still had it done by the afternoon. Reasonable and affordable prices, professional work and people. I Highly recommend Jeffersonville auto and will continue doing business. I also didn t get their till 2 hours after closing time to pick my car up and say everyone still working. Just goes to show how much their customer matter to them.Thank you, Jeffersonville auto.

Friendly and knowledgeable crew with very fair rates. Will be using them a lot with our Jeep and Truck. Art has helped me out on multiple occasions and is always willing to do what they can to make sure you get the best service possible. He is also quite active in the local veteran community and helps out fellow vets whenever he can.

I had my Jeep towed over to Jeff Auto Repair after it sat at Bachman Jeep Service Center for 5 days without them even looking at it. Jeff Auto was super friendly and accommodating. They disgnosed my problem immediately and had it fixed the very next morning. I will definitely return here.

I can't say enough great things about Jeffersonville Auto Repair. I brought them two calipers I couldn't deal with and they took great care of them and my wallet both, one had a broken and stuck bolt, the other had messed up threads, both fixed correctly and also saving me about 800.00.

I called with a vague description of 2 hoses (both without part numbers) that i was looking for. After 15-20 mins of description and sending a few grainy pics from under the hood i received a text back from them with the exact part number(s) that i was looking for. Incredibly helpful, professional, and very patient.

They do great work my only concern is communication; how long it will be til it's done and you definitely need to call ahead because they are always backed up. But definitely would recommend their services.

Super friendly, I just stopped in from out of town, they did a vehicle inspection for me (before I purchased it), affordable and thorough. It appears they specialize in jeeps and 4 wheel drive, would recommend!

I have taken my car down to this shop 3 different time for front end noises and they keep saying it something different everytime but still noises when i get it back . I have gave them more than i paid for the car and still not fixed ,so maybe good jeep guy but not car
