Absolutely awful service. Damaged my window defroster, didn t mention it until after I paid. Used defroster and it caused an arc that makes the defrost useless. I ve been trying to file an insurance claim and they don t provide insurance info and owner is mysteriously unavailable for 3+ months. Take your car anywhere else but here.

I called them the other day to make an appointment. The lady was so nice she would ve got me in that day. So made date far out called. I called yesterday and she said I can come today. Got in and out. Hour and half like she said. Had a few questions after only because of position of car and me no glasses on. Once I left they had me A-1 Money. They good with me. Every car will come here not just for tint they really nice professional people who made me feel at ease. I even called and said I was going to leave this review.Thanks again guys for booking my new ride up with tint.

Just had my new car tinted @ Waxwerks and like previous times in the last 20 years, they did such an amazing job! The process from beginning to end was painless and cost wasn t bad at all. They were highly knowledgeable about the options that would look good with my model of car and showed me several examples. I would recommend them to anyone. I asked the owner Ray how long they have been at that location, because I remember bringing him previous cars a long time ago and was psyched they were still there when I was looking for a place to bring my new car. There s a reason a business will last 30+ years in the same location. They are the best!Service: Window tinting

Ray and the rest of the crew there are so nice. I have had two car s windows tinted by them and both times they have done an excellent job. The shop is clean. One of the cars I had done about 4 years ago and the tint still looks amazing. Their prices are are very competitive and worth every penny. My car had factory tint on the back windows when I arrived and they matched it to the 15% I wanted on the front. It matches perfectly as you can see in the picture.When I get another car in a few years I will be going back to them again. They put in a auto start that took 24 hr... plus they screwed up my steering part that doesn't snap back together as it's not fitting right. I've been so busy to even go by there as they messed it up. This was on 2009 Nissan Sentra. We had scheduled appt 3 weeks prior as they were too busy they said. I wouldn't use this company!

Updated to add: The owner just called and yelled at me for 10 minutes and would not listen to me. This person is incredibly unprofessional and does not value the customer's experience.In response to his comment on my 1st review. There was no up-front cost explained to my husband. He believed the service was being covered under the "lifetime warranty" of the remote start this business installed just a couple months prior. He was very upset when the owner of Waxwerks held the vehicle hostage until he paid.

Their lifetime guarantee is false. We had a remote start put in early February, by May it stopped working. They told us to bring it in to be fixed, but then charged us without notice of the rate before performing a service we thought was included in the warranty. They do not value customer satisfaction or loyalty. We will not be return customers.Service: Electrical

I had an automatic starter installed in my vehicle March 2017. After having it installed, my vehicle would shut off when put in drive, shut off after driving it a few feet and even shut off while at a red light. I took it in for service the first time (April 2017) and was told there was nothing wrong, the second time (May 2017), I was given instruction on how to properly operate my own truck (now that it had an automatic starter). The third time (June 2017) I was told it was fine, the fourth time (August 2017) I was advised by the manager (Rob) that the program the system was using was from 2014 and it should have been updated before the unit was installed. He apologized and indicated the technicians and shop manager who were previously there had had a lot of issues and complaints and that the entire shop staff was replaced. He did a system upgrade and was advised after the upgrade, everything "was to work". Per Rob, if the issue persisted, a refund would be issued as I have had issues with this since the purchase date. Yesterday (Oct 25, 2017). I called the shop again and spoke to their "new manager" Herb and explained the issue to him. I asked for a refund as the issue has been persistent since day one and he refused, he indicated he was unable to give me a refund because "the equipment is of no value to him" and that he had to look at it himself. I explain to him the previous times my vehicle was looked at and said he did not have proof because the people who were there before him wiped out the system and he did not have access to any information. According to Herb, he's the new manager and the shop has new staff, turn out, Herb Johnson is the actual owner at Waxwerks. I filed a BBB complaint sometime in July 2017, but it was closed as WaxWerks failed to respond to BBB. My next option was to file a complaint with the Attorney General, but gave them another chance to rectify the issue as Rob had promised that doing the system upgrade would correct the issues. Clearly this was not corrected and now Herb refuses to issue a refund for something that does not work and has not worked from the start. I advised Herb that I no longer wanted to take my vehicle in for service as I had already done so four other times, he then when on to say I don t know what you ve done to your truck since then nor do I know that there is nothing wrong with your truck . This man clearly does not care about the faulty products they are selling and installing in vehicles, he is a liar, unprofessional and rude. I will never recommend and/or use them again and I will keep fighting until I get a refund for the faulty equipment they used.UPDATE AS OF 8/21/2018I received an email requesting that I remove my review. Obviously I did not and when I came back to read my review, I see the reply from the company.First, as my post originally stated, I was advised the systems were "wiped clean" therefore, you would not have the needed surveillance to view the video nor did you have the needed information to reference my complaint/issue. So you indicating that you viewed the video, is a A LIE!Secondly, "verifiable fact in your own records", how was this checked when "the systems were wiped clean"? LIE #2LIE #3 I do in fact exist and was a customer!LIE # 4 sent my information to USCIS!So...not only is this company a joke, but their equipment is garbage, the owner and the person responsible for addressing online reviews are both liars and completely unprofessional and to top it off, they seem to be racist too. I read every single review posted and the only one addressing the USCIS was mine. Jokes on you Waxwerks...now we all know you're racist too!

I purchased a Waxwerks auto detail Groupon. I took my car to Waxwerks on 12-2-16 to have my 2009 Honda detailed. When I picked up my car at the end of the day, the car was detailed and a large dent above the left rear wheel was on the car. I went in and informed the person at the counter and he proceeded to tell me they weren't responsible. I told him I would like to speak to the owner and left my business card with some notes about what happened. I have never heard from the owner. I contacted Groupon and informed them of the situation and they said they would contact the Waxwerks owner and ask him to call me. Still no call. I informed Groupon that I have heard nothing and they refunded amount I paid for the Groupon. I have waited almost 2 months and have heard nothing. It is obvious the owner of this business doesn't care about his customers. I would not recommend this business! What a hassle. I will be posting this user experience on other social media.

Luiz the tint tech who had to redo my tint was amazing and he deserves all the credit for the professionalism and the amazing job he did on the tint job on my brand new 2018. I have brought mine and my husbands cars there before and the experience was ok, me and my husband got new car and truck again so we went back to tint again BUT this time it was shakey, but I got the % I orginally requested and then I saw the imperfections all over, then Luiz re did the car and the car tint looks amazing. Thanks wax werks. What I love about this company is if they make mistakes they always correctthem and make it right. The front desk lady who I have never see before she was amazing as well she called me and let me know she got my cars and then she called when the car was com-plete and she is very pleasant. I give a 10 t0 her and luiz!!!!!

Yikes. Thought about going here. Saw some bad reviews on my next door app. Thought maybe it was just a fluke. So checked the website just WOW!!! The reviews aren t great but the owner/mgr responses are horrible. It s not the mistakes you make, it s how you handle those mistakes. Thanks to all who ve posted reviews allowing us to see how management behaves. Wow! As a business owner myself, I could NEVER imagine responding to a review this way. Seems unreal, honestly. I paid $600 for them to tint my windows. I explained multiple times that I wanted dark tint that you could not see through the car. He said that he could do 15%. I made the appointment. They called me on a different day that I wasn t available Because some else didn t confirm I could not come in that day. The night before my appointment they were supposed to call to confirm they did not call. I called them to make sure I had the right day. Drop my car off at 8 AM. I went to his shop in person at 2 PM to make sure that the tent was going to be the right color. He was rude and dismissive and did not listen again. They had not even started my car yet. It was almost 8 PM when I got a text that I can pick up my car. I had no way of getting there at that hour so my husband picked it up the next day. When I saw the car I immediately called because it s not the color or the darkness that I asked for. He said They installed tint he ordered for my car. Clearly he was not listening when I made the appointment. I insisted what he insisted the police needed to be able to see through. Was not helpful at all did not listen to what I wanted and refused to make it right after he installed what he wanted on my windows. He was rude and his communication style is bizarre at best.

How can you say I was never a customer when you posted a picture of my car on your Facebook page?Had my car at your business for at least a total of 5 days before my wedding to get window tints done. Only to come back to multiple articles of damage and window tint done incorrectly. AND THEY SUGGESTED I DRIVE AN UBER TO MY REHEARSAL DINNER AND WEDDING. Had to bring the car back to get it redone, BUT THE CAR WAS NOT EVEN TOUCHED. THE OWNER (Tim) DROVE THE CAR TO QDOBA/STARBUCKS and caught him in the act of doing so.And then they took over a month to reimburse me for my rental vehicle while my car was In the shop getting the parts fixed that they damaged in the trunk.AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. This place is run by fakes and they do not operate an honest business.

The reviews don't even matter, just based on the responses from the owner alone should be telling enough. And before you hit me with you infamous line No I have never been a customer and will never be a customer. Google doesn't need to verify because I chose NO for Did you use this business! I get it, it's frustrating to get so many bad reviews against your company but maybe if you replied in a professional manner to get your point across, it wouldn't prove the reviews to be right when they say your employees are rude. No need to respond.Clearly no business have all the time in the world to respond to every review. Run people!!!!

Best place to take your car to for all you customizations. I have taken every vehicle for the last 25-30 years and have been very satisfied with ever job done. I have never had any issues with the tint bubbling or peeling even after years of ownership. I have done window tint on all of my cars, and even a stereo install or remote start here and there.Service: Vehicle window tinting

Some of these reviews are really weird but Ill keep it short and honest.At around 2020 I had a remote starter added to my car by them, they gave me a date and time and I was there at the date and time they told me. I was later informed I could pick it up the next day. Next day rolls in and I got a phone call, my car was ready. I had no issues with my remote starter up until late 2021. I went back into the store few days ago and was told I needed to schedule an appointment but halfway through that the technician said he could take a quick look at it. Few minutes later my remote starter was fixed and I had to pay absolutely NOTHING because its covered by warranty. These guys are really good. Would give 5 stars but the guy in the counter comes off as rude at times.Service: Installation

My wife spilled hot chocolate on her back floorboard and it got under the floor mats and ending up turning to mold. Waxwerks was the only place I could find that would thoroughly treat it and clean it and was inexpensive. Others wouldn't touch it one place wanted to do a $500 full interior detail. Not what I needed. Have used them twice for window tint and twice for car starters and have always been happy.

Had window tint done. It looks great and the installed properly. Due to being busy no answer right away, but rep called me back in 5-10 minutes and was very professional. Got in on the day of drop off with no issues. Pick up was great. Overall great experience for me. I am getting in this week for tint on my other vehicle. They do schedule times and I got in within a week and half which is okay because they are busy, but what place isn t with good services. Everything that was explained was factual as far as costs, and I would recommend their services.Services: Window tinting, Vehicle window tinting

4 years later I never did receive my refund. They are nothing but a bunch of thief s!!!!Had an appointment on 4/12/2019 took my car in to have a remote starter installed. When we get there at 8 am the customer rep tells us that they couldn t install it because they don t have the part in. No phone call from them just a waste of time. We make another appointment for the next Friday 4/19. We dropped off my car at 8am and the rep tells me will get it installed and we will call you when it s ready . At 5 o clock we get a call only to find out that they had not even started working on it. They said they couldn t install it because they had to prep for it. So we made another appointment for the next Friday 4/26 same thing drop it off in the morning and get a call later telling us that it wouldn t be ready until Saturday. We get a call Saturday around noon and finally the car is ready. I go and pick it up and pay. On my way home I call my husband to tell him I picked up the car and paid. My husband tells me that he had already paid them. I call back to tell them that they double charged us the rep tells me he cannot do the refund at that moment because the cashier is out to lunch, but that she will be back in 15 minutes to do the refund. This was around 1:30pm. It s now 5pm and no refund. Take it from me DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Poor customer service! It s a shame I have to give them one start.This is a continuation to the above. I called Monday and they told my husband and I that they would refund the $650 that day. At the end of the day we didn t see the refund. Tuesday, same story still no refund. My husband met with the owner Tuesday afternoon. She told him it would be refunded by Wednesday morning. It s now Wednesday morning and NO REFUND! - It's now October and still no refund! 4 years later I never did receive my refund. They are nothing but a bunch of thief s!!!!

Ray and Staff were great! I am a repeat customer. They tinted my last car which held up for 3 years. This time, they were full, but added me to a waiting list. Called earlier this morning about an available slot and I brought my car in. The tint job was professionally done and I am pleased with the work. My new car looks amazing. Highly recommended establishment, with good customer service! A+++

I'm known for my honest opinion when I write my reviews so here we go! I absolutely LOVED my tint that these guys have done on my vehicles that I've owned over the last several years. However, now you can't even book an appointment! I wanted to give them my money, but they can't take it due to short staff which has definitely been there downfall. I've been waiting for over a month to get scheduled and nothing. I even called back to get in the schedule again and the same result. So until they get their house in order this is why they get a 2 star rating.

STAY AWAY!!!! BUYER BEWARE! PLEASE TAKE WHAT THE OTHER POSTERS ARE SAYING SERIOUSLY!!! This was going to be a long but surgically accurate review, but after reading all of the other long reviews, I no longer felt the need.I originally got my windows tinted with these folks in 2018. Off the bat, the receptionist kept overtalking me when I was trying to ask my questions and trying to be an informed consumer. While waiting, there were TWO customers that had returned for shoddy workmanship. One of the customers said he had spent A LOT of money and they STILL couldn't get it right. I had to keep going back to ask them why there were SO many bubbles in my tint that wouldn't dry up; amongst other things. But back to 2022. I went back to get one of my broken windows re-tinted. Long story short... the owner (I'm assuming) would not let me finish a question, would not listen, kept over talking me, and avoiding the question that I asked. When I challenged him on why he didn't answer what I asked, and kept talking over me, he went to the back and told the workers to stop working on the car. Fine. He starts to get personal, we get into an argument, I leave and I went elsewhere. Funny thing is... the place I went to said that about 5 people in the last 2 weeks that left this place or didn't want to back there due to the owver and quality of work. Sure there are some good reviews and experiences posted. BUT PEOPLE, LOOK AT THE RATIO OF 1 STAR REVIEWS OUT OF THE TOTAL. 8 times out of 10, you will regret going here. Those are not good odds. Remember, I told you so.

I went to get window tints and also car audio installation. The first conversation we discussed what he would put in far as the subs, the amps and inside speakers. The first day the car wasn't finished they kept it over night. The 2nd day at close the car was ready, when I picked the car up I already smelled a strong wire smell but assumed it was from the new wiring. The speakers he put had blew out within the first hour. He told me he was going to go up the next size since I was trying to save some trunk space and ordered them took about a week and I dropped it off again. This time I ended up with a huge box huge speakers and the same 2 small amps that was hooked up to the 8's and also this time he got the subs adjuster hooked up but taped to the lower dash. The speakers have not blown but from years experience of getting audio installation and knowing sound they still don't sound as right when on they will go on and out and I still never got inside sound done when that was part of the first price estimate. So to be honest I paid around 1500 just for the music installation which ended up being 2 subs and 2 small amps, and a sub adjuster with knob. My music still doesn't sound how it should and having to take it elsewhere to get it all hooked up right and this time making sure the inside speakers actually get done. Basically I wasted 1500 on service and products I am not happy with and I made sure to voice this when picking up the vehicle. Including tints that cost around 4 hundred something, the audio side their labor cost was 85.00 per hr and then the equipment charges I ended up spending around 2 thousand for tint and audio.They ended up having my car for a total of 3 full days, hours missed at work and other business was thrown off. I've never had a place keep my car over night or days for audio installation. I liked the audio guy he seemed to know what he was talking about but the work and sound doesn't show that, could be because they are to over loaded and over booking not allowing enough time for vehicles to get the quality and time each needs this was not a good service at all and especially since I am going to have to basically start over and get it done right somewhere else. I would not recommend car audio from here and if so be cautious and careful of what your getting.Services: Installation, Window tinting

The little shop in South Indy that did excellent installs for me in the past went out of business so I ended up at Waxwerks after calling several places who refused to install an alarm with remote start unless it was purchase from them. When I called Waxwerks and explained that I had a brand new in the box Avital 5303 that I received as gift, they said no problem, they would install it since they are an Avital dealer anyway. The price was super reasonable! I made an appointment and while they were installing it while I was waiting, they offered to drop me off at work while they worked on it! I really appreciated that! Once it was complete, I picked it up and when I got home, realized that the remote start was programmed to 12 minutes of run time (standard program time), which is fine, until winter hits. So I called them up and spoke to Jason and he said to bring it in in the morning an they would program it to run for 24 minutes. They took care of it quickly! Also, during the install, they discovered the unit I brought in, had a faulty part, which they replaced with a new one under warranty with no extra charge since they were an authorized dealer. Jason and the staff were kind, professional and did quality work.UPDATE: 4-29-2017 I just brought my other car in to have the windows tinted. The windows look amazing at 20% tint and with a lifetime warranty, I have peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong, they are covered. They took a few hours to complete the work and again, look amazing! Thanks Kyle and the rest of the staff for the outstanding work! I will be back for future business!

I have used this waxworks location many times to tint the windows on several different vehicles I have owned over the past several years. They seem to always do an excellent job, in a timely manner, and at a good price.They also give you a lifetime warranty on the tint as long as you own that vehicle and keep your receipt. I have not had them do any other installs such as alarm systems or stereo systems but they seem to know how to install window tinting very well.The staff is usually friendly and helpful. The waiting room although small does have a lot of their items on display so at least you can walk around and look at those while you are waiting on your vehicle to get finished, if you're unable to drop it off and come back later.

I dropped my car off to have a new key fob and remote start installed. I had it done on another vehicle years ago and was pleased. They were not able to get it done when they said but I let them know I was not in a hurry. The second time they gave me also got missed. I spoke with Tim L the guy in charge. He explained that the owner has been out sick for a while and he was there getting some staffing straightened out and getting things back on track. He honored the deal the other guy quoted, and did even better. When I went to get my car, everything was great, so I had them keep it and detail it. I picked it up the next day and everything was awesome. I understand bumps in the road happen and I ll go back again with no hesitation. Thanks Guys, Bruce

I ran over something in the dark. I thought it was a fast food bag someone littered. A few days later noticed that there was some blue material on the driver side of the car. Wasn't paint but it did not come off in the car wash. Not wanting to screw it up by buying some product I didn't know if it would hurt my car I called a collision shop. Told them the problem, they immediately gave me the number to Waxwerks. They had the number right there as if it was something they did more than once. I called, Ray answered, gracious as could be. We met this afternoon after a brief phone tag exchange. He took care of it in about 15 minutes. Didn't want to charge me anything . We kind of argued about that and he ultimately took a couple bucks, but he tried verrry hard not to. We just don't see this kind of service any more. He was honest, straight forward, pleasant, available, and prompt. I would give 6 stars here if I could. JohnServices: Wheel washing, Paint repair

I had LED headlights and fog lights put in last year. They charged me $350 for the install, 3 of my lights blew out. Austin promised me that they would replace them. Took my car up there to have them replaced but had battery issues, was advised by Tim their electric guru, that use to work for Best Buy for 13yrs, to tell me that my battery caused my lights to blow. He also stated that my battery had exploded and damaged some other parts under my hood. I waited 2 business days for them to diagnosis my car which they never got around to doing. The second day I told Austin to drop a new battery in my car so that I could take it somewhere else. To my surprise nothing was wrong with my car other than I needed a new battery. If the battery blew my lights out then why didn't it blow all my lights out? I still have bright lights, one fog light, blinkers, tail lights, break lights and park lights... They were gonna charge me $85 dollars per hour for diagnostics to tell me nothing was wrong other than the fact they sold and installed faulty lights and refuse to replace them... Their customer service is trash when they screw up!

They have a worse customer service. They will show you a product and sell you another telling that they are same. They will ensure you lifetime guarantee but they never cover anything. They just sell the product and if anything happens afterward they never care about it. There is old guy who is always so mean and rude. He never pays attention to the customer. His attitude is like the customers are beggar and he is the king .I strictly recommend not to go there.
