Me and my father were on our way to Kentucky from Chicago when our transmission blew on the car. I gave them one call, brought it in, and they saw me immediately. Being stuck far from home is a nerve wracking situation and they helped put our worries at ease. They were friendly and competent.

Vern was very friendly and got me in quick to install my breakpads. He was thorough and saw my rear shoes did not need replaced, but advised I have my front rotors changed along with the front pads. His honesty allowed my installation price to go down to the 200$+ range. The name brand dealership I originally called wanted to charge me 350$ per axle to install JUST my break pads not my rotors. He was even able to order my rotors the SAME day to install them!Vern has great straightforwardness and does not do any unnecessary work on a vehicle for extra cash. He is quick, honest, and just gained another customer!I love the quality and my car rides nicely. Breaks work great! I'll recommend everyone visit VG Automotive!Service: Brakes

Brian and Vern are the best.Overnight shipped a part because none were available.. Called with updates. Done super fast and total price was less than having it towed by another company to get it to them.Doesn t get much better than that!!!Definitely recommendService: General repairs & maintenance

One of the best mechanic experiences I have ever had. My catalytic converter was stolen while on vacation over a weekend. I brought it one place and they quoted me $5000. I called here and they quoted me $700. They estimated it would take 3 days until they could get my car in. They got it in that day and only charge $500. They were quick and cheap so I was able to return home without spending too much and without missing too much work. 100% would recommend to anyone.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Straight forward kinda place. Prices don't seem inflated and the dude is nice. Added the last start because these dudes take care of you. I've been coming here for three years and I still love how they take are of you.

After a horrible experience with a previous repair shop VG auto repair got us right in and had our vehicle fixed and ready to go in a matter of a couple hours. They are definitely our new go to mechanics. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs any type of work done.

This Auto shop is STELLER!!!! STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!!! THEY ARE HONEST, QUICK, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY FAIR!!!! THIS IS shop you can truly trust. They are a tiny "mom and pop" shop. The Mechanic is the son. I was told that I had a rear main seal leak from a different shop. very costly repair. I brought it to this shop who specializes in this kind of work only to be surprised to hear that it was something totally different that was 1/2 the cost to replace. They were completely honest and transparent. The part was ordered the same day and the repair was completed by the following morning. Within the same week my altanator went out. I brought it back to the shop and Within a day my car was fixed again at a very responsible price. I strongly recommend this place!!!!

Absolutely the best mechanic I have ever used! This man is fair and honest and he actually cares about his customers. We had a family camping trip planned and my van was acting up. We were leaving the next night. I told him I would bring it in after our trip. He told me he would rather fix it before we went so that my family was safe. He promised to have it back in time for us for our trip. He did! We have used them several times now and he is always honest and fair. He has never tried to take advantage.

The most honest and reasonable mechanic that I've ever met! Vern has worked on multiple cars for me and also family members. There has never been a complaint or issue with any of his work. I recommend him to people all the time!

They are great super cheap super fast I will definitely be taking my jeep back to them if anything else needs fixed. Got my catalytic converter stole at school I was expecting up to $1600 on that to be fixed and it wasn't even a fraction of that. I highly recommend them.

Had all new brakes put on my car by Vernon. He did an excellent job on the service. Extremely fair on price compared to others in the surrounding area. Quality work by Vern. Very professional and efficient.

We brought our truck in for some work on the wheel hub and brake lines. The owners were not only friendly but also efficient--we had our truck back the same day! We priced other shops in Indy before picking Vern's and their prices can't be beat. This is a great, family owned, trustworthy business that we look forward to utilizing more in the future! A big thanks to the crew at Vern's!

I couldn't be happier with Vern and the service I received. Wife and I are extremely busy and really didn't have time to deal with a broken vehicle. Talked to Vern, he had me drop off car at night after hours. At 10:30 the next morning he had it fixed and ready to pick up. Did I mention his cost was 1/3rd of the quote I got from a certain auto place right down the street? Cannot recommend someone more than I would this place.

My 2019 is my everything so when I hit some shrapnel on 465 and needed a new transmission I was completely lost. After speaking to several mechanics VG gave me the best service, the best price, and never treated me like I was just another job. I was extremely annoying and called everyday sometimes multiple times and they were always very friendly. Could not find a better place or better people!Service: Transmission

VG was great to deal with. They diagnosed the problem with my brakes and worked my car into the schedule. They fixed a problem that the garage who had installed the breaks, did not repair properly. They were very professional and thorough.

Not honest and will rip you off . Had some things wrong with my rear & they made up all this other stuff to get me to pay extra money . I wouldn t recommend these guys. and the part I went to get fixed is still broken . Paid 4200 for nothing and my rear is still messed up . Excellent job guys!! They got my car in the day after I took it in for an estimate and completed the job within a few hours of dropping it off and very reasonably priced. They will treat you right if you need auto repairs.

We had a problem with our 15 year old Toyota van, which started after the recent heavy wind and rain; we suspected rain had blown in and messed up some connections and didn't want to be gouged...our son had heard about Verns and suggested we try it. They got us in quickly and determined the electrical system was testing fine and only charged us a nominal amount.We were very happy with the service here and will be using them in the future for repairs. Also, they are in a great location for southsiders or anyone coming off I-65!

My truck had a leaky brake line and all of the surrounding shops were backed up and gonna charge me what I thought was to much for the repair. Called Verns considering they were close to the shop that was screwing me over and turned it was good luck. Mike said they could fix the lines in a day and guarenteed me he could save me a few bucks.Guys there saved me $100 versus all the other shops, didnt nickel and dime me for non-needed repairs, ACTUALLY CALLED ON TIME to give me the quote, and did what looks like good quality work. Honestly going back to em to replace a broken door handle for $100, especially considering the other shops wanted to rip me off for almost double the cost of that as well.If you want honest work from a family owned business give em a call, dont risk it with these other shops that will rip you off or just forget about your car.

Passing through and the car lost power. Came to the conclusion that it was the gas pump. Was quoted just over 300 but once Vern got the car jacked up he found that it was a loose wire. Ended up being $80 and a five minute fix. Very happy with the service and hospitality!

Traveling from Louisville, KY to Minnesota our suburban's axel broke. Brought it in to Vern's Auto Repair and they were very professional and efficient. We thought it would take anywhere from 4-6 hours and they had everything done in 3 hours. Very good service, would highly recommend them for any repair that they may be qualified for!

Went to get vehicle diagnostics was expecting a bill for repairs in the thousands of dollars since I have a Acura MDX they called me to tell me all the repairs was under $850 which is less than just the parts were anywhere else they also did a couple of small things I wasn't expecting at no extra cost highly recommend this place they are also a place that makes you feel like family not just a dollarService: General repairs & maintenance

Awesome ! Brake switch went out on my truck while traveling for work. Totally random that I stopped in here, he had it replaced within an hour . Great Guy, I believe his name was Vern.

Honestly I've never had a nicer customer service experience. Tried to take my car to one dealership they couldn't help me out and this place was recommended then as I read the reviews I was convinced to go and was not displeased.
