Already unhappy about the service my husband and I have received and I haven t even been in yet to get my vehicle serviced. I left a voicemail last week, as well as I called Friday and left a voicemail. I also tried multiple times to get through to someone on Saturday. I understand it s a Saturday. But no one has been able to answer my questions regarding my warranty on my car that I was convinced to buy from this dealership. How can you not help me when you sell this warranty ? The guy on the phone told me it would just be easier to bring my car in and he didn t know anything about the warranty process. Cool. You should know something about the products and contract YOU sell. When I bring my car in in April I can tell you for a fact I will not be paying for a diagnostic fee due to the fact that no one has gotten back with me or been able to answer my questions.

always great service and everyone is very nice but i want to especially, thank Sylvia in service she is a ray of sunshine the last time I came in there I was having a bad day and was crying due to going through a construction zone and having a one flat tire, another tire with tools and needles in them and tire sensor issues. I was running late to work she sat and listened, kept me updated on how long things would take!!and tried to get me out as soon as possible. She truly is one of those few people that you can tell is actually a good and caring person and she s not being nice to you just because It s part of her job I respect that so much. I even called the next day and spoke with the manager in service on how amazing she was. So Tom O Brien you have great employees, but Sylvia truly is a gem and if I ever had my own company, I would definitely want people like her to run it.

I took my beloved Jeep Wrangler in to have the clutch replaced due to a faulty/recalled clutch plate. Nathan Thorpe was gracious and very informative when it came to what all was wrong. He was willing to drive my Jeep to witness himself the issues I was worried about. Thanks to his help, I have my Jeep back and she is running great! Thanks again for the quality Customer Service, Nathan. I will be sure to ask for your help again. Jezebel appreciates you!

From the moment I inquired about the vehicle I purchased, the communication was outstanding. Cody Bronson made my transaction quick and painless. The business manager and sales manager were very friendly and made sure I was satisfied before I left. This is my 10th car purchase from Tom O' Brien of Greenwood and Tom O' Brien of Indianapolis. I am positive it will not be my last purchase.

Great service. I came in knowing the potential cost of the repair after consulting a mechanic friend for my main issue, when I arrived for my appointment, I was given the same quote by the dealership and had it given back same day. They looked into other issues that I want to fix down the line as well.Great service in person.

My name is JoaJuana Hemphil,First time Jeep owner and as long as I live in the area. I will not go anywhere else for service for my renegade. As a whole the staff is wonderful but who stands out the most is Sylvia. From the time I arrived at the location and towards the end of my service for my jeep. People such as herself is rare now days, so, when you visit the location, continue to be nice to the staff and again, it was a pleasure to meet you, Sylvia!

Before I write my bad experience with the Repair service department, I took a time to read their reviews mentioned here. As I see, there is more bad reviews on the repair services than any other departments. My issue was the above head lights wouldn t turn off. The first time of cost was $500. So I thought it was high so I declined. But when I went to pick up my car, they charged me $160 for a diagnosis fee. Considering at this time I asked the cashier how much for the repair. She game me the total amount of over $900. I asked why it is more than what I was told. She showed me the paper(the mechanic s hand written) that showed 3 items which are P, L, and T. P for parts, L for labor fee and T(she didn t know about the T) The T supposed to be the total amount after the parts and labor but she added total amount as if the T is something she thinks she should add to the total cost of repair. Also, she said that I have to pay $160.After the correction I heard if I decided to let them fix, no payment for a diagnostic fee. So I let them put a work to it. The following day, told me there is another part is needed and it will cost $600 on top of $500 then kept saying if I do not want to buy the second part because it is too expensive then they could cut the physical wire that connects to the unit. So I told them just to do that.On retrieving my car, they told me that they just simply turned off the program and reprogrammed it. So it is working. So I ended up paying still the parts they put and labor fee of $493 for the part that is totally useless in the beginning with. But they used the parts and cannot restock so I had to pay.It was simple as it is but I think they are deceitful, unprofessional, and poor business tactics.Do not get fooled of their ripping off customers by their very fraudulent tactics!Watch out for the cashier working there! She is a masterful cheats ! Make sure of what you pay! ( she says she has been working for a long time but she did not know what T meant? They knew right off the bat this can be fixed just by reprogramming the system all along which it would cost only a few x amount but not over $1000!!Never going back there for sure.

We had three issues. 1) we gave $200 good faith money and was told it would be refunded when we asked we were told the system was down and it hasn't been refunded yet. 2)my son had a test drive and said the car pulled to the right the salesman said he would would give a wheel alignment then he put that cost in the negotiation. 3) my son secured funding through his credit Union came in with a check made payable to Tom O'Brien then he was told he would have to complete a credit application to be put on file. For what reason?

I purchased a vehicle from Tom O Brien in 2018. Because I was new to Indianapolis, I continued to have my truck serviced there. It was evident that their communication was poor and after several mishaps with basic oil changes, I began taking my truck to Belle Tire. This week I attempted to take my vehicle back for a sunroof liner issue. Once again poor communication, an estimate three times as high as it was in 2021 and multiple hours on my part trying to communicate and reach a live person for an update caused me to have to finally drive to the location to determine what next steps needed taken for either the repair or the return of my vehicle. When I went I to the showroom to share my concern, I walked into 7 men sitting around talking. I was told I could email my concerns because all the managers had gone home for the day. When I shared my disdain for the communication practices and said I shouldn t have to continue working harder than the employees, they took my name and number.Vince called me back the next day with an apology and little to no response when I shared my hourly salary x the amount of time I spent trying to get a return call. They charged a diagnostic fee (as they should) but had I charged them what I make an hour x my time and effort - Tom O Brien would owe me money. They boast family owned since 1933. Have their customer service been this terrible since 1933?

I took my Jeep 2015 Cherokke in for service for a recall part. Then was told had to come back once the part is ordered. Called back today only to be told the part is not in which is expected but now it's backed up for months? I was better off taking it somewhere else and get the reimbursement. Like this is something you should tell your customers. Now have to find someone else to do it.

The sales department was fine and very easy for buying a car. The Service Department is what is receiving a 1 star review.False advertisement on the website when scheduling an oil change and other services. I purchased a used Nissan from here. When I went online to schedule an appointment for my factory scheduled maintenance. It said all of the following services were included and there was no price next to the services. (Replace brake fluid, Replace engine air filter, Replace in-cabin microfilter, Replace synthetic engine oil and filter). I checked out and made the appointment with the price of $0.00. When I went to pick up my car they said, "no none of that is included". They said when they tried to make appointments for other vehicles they sell it worked fine. I asked the man in the service department to run my VIN and vehicle and then tell me the price. He specifically said, "No I'm not going to do that". I stated this is a legality issue of false advertising. The service worked even said, "You're right it probably is." In my opinion this is extremely bad form and non professional. What happened to the customer is always right? I feel very taken advantage of and the people in the service department were sort of rude and just trying to bring in more money.

Tom O Brien and Sylvia did a great job of communicating with me regarding the issue with a sensor on my Jeep. They let me know when it came in and got it on the schedule for repair. The repair was done on the same day as drop off and again the communication was great. They pulled my vehicle around for me a week.It was great customer service!

I don't even know how to sum up all the chaos and failure. My wife's car had corrosion problems that were supposed to be fixed under warranty. The whole process took about a year. Appointments did not take place several times, there were no callbacks, ... Finally there was an appointment and a repair was carried out (or rather attempted, if you look at the result) and this unfortunately more than inadequate.Unfortunately, Tom O'Brien does not seem to have a final inspection or quality control, otherwise it would not be possible for vehicles to leave the workshop in such a poor condition.Even when an oil change was carried out on my own RAM, there were discrepancies because the oil filter was not replaced and I had to go back. It's just a shame that you have to lose so much of your precious life time through poor work and mistakes.Even giving one is unfortunately still too much for our experience.

Came in for check engine light. They told me it was the thermostat and also suggested a coolant flush. They also recommended other services that I should consider having performed. I decided on the repairs to fix the check engine light along with a software update to the computer. They promptly repaired the vehicle and before releasing it to me they washed it. Very happy with the service I received and would recommend to others.

I purchased a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler from Tom O Brien. My salesman was Stan. He was very attentive and knowledgeable, making it a wonderful experience. My husband and I have previously bought two Jeeps from Tom O Brien in which both times received excellent service. I highly recommend!

Bobby and the service department at Tom O'Brien Chrysler Jeep are wonderful! They make sure that every time I leave there the service techs have checked out everything, not just done the scheduled service. That makes me feel safe. We always buy our vehicles from them and always will!

I appreciated the communication with the salesman, John Steele. There wasn't any of the usual high pressure sales tactics, no "let me get my sales manager involved" nonsense from other dealerships or any other sales pitches. He listened to my needs, what I was interested in, and what I wanted to pay. The process was one of the easiest I've ever dealt with when buying a vehicle. 5 stars all around!

The service department turned what should be routine maintenance into a nightmare. I took my car in to have the tires rotated and balanced, and received dangerous and faulty service. The weights were falling off, which is incredibly Dangerous and could result in loss of control of the vehicle. After I returned the vehicle, they re-completed the work, and assured me that I would be refunded for the faulty service, which I was not. Upon inspection of the vehicle They also scratched and damaged the wheels. Again, I was assured that the damage would be repaired and have had no follow up on this promise. The 80$ service ended up costing hundreds in damage (new wheels are 600$ a piece) and hours of wasted time and frustration. The operator hung up on me twice, and was extremely rude and hostile. If you care about your vehicle take it somewhere else.

Tom O Brien Jeep will lie to attempt to pressure a deal. Sales man told me my company s supplier number was only worth $400 and that the vehicle I was interested in would be going up in price on Monday (Jeep Gladiator Rubicon) - just saw on their website they DROPPED the price on that Rubicon by $2k and another dealer gave me thousands for the supplier code AND a lower price on a Gladiator Rubicon with more options. I am perfectly fine with firm negotiating, I will not tolerate lies.I bought from Josh at Bill Estes Jeep in Brownsburg, great service and HONEST negotiations at Bill Estes.

Specifically, I need to lift up Preston Allen who helped me in the service area. His customer service was phenomenal with his follow up and follow thru with my vehicle. It wasn t easy locating the part and dealing with my insurance but Preston stayed on top of it for me. I will be following up with the owner and others there so Preston gets acknowledged for a job well done! Hats off Preston!!

I took my admittedly very old and high mileage minivan to Tom O Brien Dodge for a brake issue. I was charged nearly $600 I ve two visits and I still have the same problem. I ve gotten several requests for reviews, and I usually don t bother with them, but one request suggested I contact Tom Obrien Junior by email so that they could work on I resolution. I sent that email on January 16, 2024. I ve copied and pasted the contents of that email.Hello,I ve received a few requests for a review of my recent service visit and one of them suggested writing to this email address.I own an old (2010) and high mileage (270,000) dodge cargo van. I like to keep using vehicles as long as practical.I recently started having a strange problem with the brakes. When I apply the brakes, it sometimes feels like the ABS is activating, though it shouldn t be (the pedal vibrates and drops, but on dry, clean pavement). It does this more often when it s cold. I took it to two different non dealer shops and while they were able to reproduce the problem, they couldn t pinpoint the cause and said I d be better off going to a dealer for diagnosis. I had to wait a significant amount of time just for an appointment to get into your shop, but hoped it would be worth it. I took it in on Jan. 4th and was told that afternoon that the problem was the left rear caliper was seizing and the flex line supplying it was leaking. This didn t sound to me like it would cause the problem, but I figured your folks were the experts. I had to leave it through the next day (I m a handyman, and without my van I m pretty much unable to work) and picked it up Friday afternoon. I experienced the same problem on the way home.I texted the service writer and he told me to bring it back in, which I did. I let Vincent the shop manager drive it, but by then the van was likely warm enough to not show the problem. Since the van was also due for a recall part which had to be ordered, we agreed that when the part came in I could bring the van first thing in the morning and someone could drive it while it was cold.I made the appointment for the recall this past Monday (Jan. 15th) morning at 8am. As you know, it was plenty cold that morning and the problem was quite prevalent. I think the service folks went to work on the recall, so the van sat in the warm service garage for quite some time before driving, and was again too warm for the problem to show up. They then suggested that I try a new master cylinder and brake booster along with several other replacements for a total of about $1700.Here I am, already into this for over $600 and I m still no closer to a resolution. There s no guarantee that these suggestions will fix the problem, and I can t seem to impress on people that the vehicle needs to be cold for the problem to occur. At this point, I may as well replace the van and absorb the money I ve already spent on it. I m wondering if you folks might be able to find me an inexpensive minivan that s just reliable enough to continue my business.Sincerely,Tony Furdock

I have had the pleasure of purchasing another vehicle from this dealership. The rapport, patience, and commitment of all associates is what had me coming back, time and time again. I could not recommend this dealership more. The knowledge and expertise, along with the do-diligence of explaining everything from the car features, comparing vehicles and pricing, to the final paperwork steps.

From start to finish the car buying experience was made easy and pressure free. Matt helped me through deciding on a car and gave unbiased opinions on which model to choose based on the price. I ll continue to buy cars from the O Brien dealership moving forward. Highly recommend!

They got my car in, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in no time. Unlike the place I took beforehand that took their sweet time, bad communication and the issue was not fixed. I really appreciate Tom O'Brien for taking good care of my vehicle.

Absolutely the worse service in the Marion/Johnson county area. Not only are they rude and deliberately indifferent to their customers. They have the audacity to sell an extended warrantee with no intention of honoring it. Three to four week wait for an appointment and then the usual "We don't have the part in stock and there is a six month lead time" and when the part arrives they never contact you for the repair and there is another unacceptable wait time for the replacement. This scenario has played out the same on many different occasions.Never purchase anything from this mismanaged establishment.

My advisor, Preston, did a very good job of providing timely updates about repairs needed and charges. Service was fast and efficient. Tom O brien can be counted on to save their customers money wherever they can.
