I'm so grateful for Mr. Nygaard's help! I was getting ready to do a road trip for Thanksgiving, when just days before my hood would not open. Needing to get it open ASAP so I could take it on the road, I took it to the dealership who not only wanted to charge me $650+ to "fix the hood," they also said they would not have the parts until after Thanksgiving. Mr. Nygaard went out of his way to help me out, even though I was new customer. He literally saved me over $1000 between the upcharge of the dealership and what I would have had to spend on a rental car for the week. He also explained to me exactly what was going on with the hood latch, as he fixed it! My sister could not say enough great things about this shop and I'm happy I took her advice to go here. I will definitely be bringing my car to Nygaard's Service Center for all future needs.

If I could give this place 10/10 stars I would. I moved to Indy a few years ago and have been dreading the day I need help from a trustworthy mechanic since I don t have my normal hook ups in my previous city. I was recommended this place by a friend and decided to give it a go cuz regardless any car issue is gonna be costly unfortunately. But they were the most friendly and helpful place I ve gone to in YEARS. Fair pricing and good communication. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of or needed to call my dad for help on how to bargain or understand car talk

I've been bringing my car here for several years and have spent thousands at what I thought was a great local business. Today I brought in my car to have a check engine light evaluated and I agreed to purchase the expensive, but recommended gasoline additive directly from the shop. When I questioned the $75 fee charged to retrieve the error code from the vehicle's computer (a charge I wasn't previously informed of) I was told very angrily that they would waive the fee but I wasn't welcome to come back there in the future. These guys are capable of doing some great work and I don't think they're price gouging by any means. However, when a loyal customer asks to be considered for a discount based on recent previous work there are better ways to respond than rage and indignity.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Based on the reviews I found, and the fact that they picked up my call (the other guys never returned my call), I chose Tom Nygarrd's Services Center to have my car's A/C compressor replaced.Through and through, the reviews are accurate: no B.S., fair price, personal, great customer service, etc.Based on quick internet search, I was anticipating a to pay between $1,500 to $2,000 to have my car repaired. Tom's final bill came in at $1,400.Additionally, when I went to collect my car, their computer was down, so I was not able to get a receipt. So, the owner stated that if there were any issues with the car, then he would guarantee to follow up issues if there were any. Fantastic customer service!Now here is the fun part, on my way home, I got a call from the mechanic, saying that if I came back he could get me a receipt. I declined. Nevertheless, mechanic went the extra mile and exceed my expectations.Without a doubt in my mind, I will be coming back to Tom Nygaard's Services Center.Services: Auto A/C replacement, A/C installation & repair, Auto maintenance

My son, a local college student, was having trouble with his car. We needed it repaired quickly in order for him to make a 4 hour trip home after moving out of his dorm. Nygaards was extremely helpful, communicated with us on repair options, and got it done in plenty of time for his trip. We couldn't be happier with their understanding of the urgency of the repair and ensuring it was done correctly and professionally. We will definitely be back and refer other parents who need to coordinate long-distance repairs!!

Wife has had brakes, tires, and antifreeze leak done here and it s always been same price or cheaper than other quotes. Just had wheel bearing done and it was quick with straightforward pricing. Recommend.

I've used them twice, both times I was pleased. When I dropped my car off, they were kind enough to take me home, when my car was repaired, they came and picked me up. Great customer service. It's a small shop, and I think that really made the experience more personal to their customers.

We spoke primarily with Jon, who went out of his way to help us economize an expensive AC issue. Kim at the front desk was also pleasant and kind. We spoke with both over the phone as well as in person and they answered all my questions. We were treated like family even though we had never been there before! The costs were addressed honestly and openly beforehand and the car was done in a very timely manner despite how busy they were. We plan on going back with our future business for sure!

Great shop. Been taking my cars there for 7 years. I m moving, and I hope I can find a shop like this in my new city. John and Tom are always honest and up front, do great work, and treat their customers with great respect. Cant recommend them enough.

This is a great business. The operators are very kind and helpful. I I have my oil changed here every time because they always go the extra mile and are fair. They are also great for other general service and have patched my tire and helped me out for free when I just needed some air in one. Just a super great hometown shop!

Absolutely wonderful service, and so much faster than I was expecting. Took it in Friday morning, they had a quote ready for me the same day, when I called back Monday to get the quote they had it ready for me in 4 hours. The person I communicated with had great availability. He was able to meet with me within my timeframe. He honored the price he stated for my broken down car. Very polite. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the indy area.

I got lucky and had a breakdown literally across the street from this place. I had never been here before. They got the work done faster and cheaper than they quoted me. Tom is very helpful and the customer service was great.

Really nice guys. Have thrown in several freebies when unexpected issues arise during repair. Never got the vibe that they were trying to run up costs. Fun to chat with a bit when you pick your car up.

I'm new to the area and called here when I had a flat tire. They came out with an air compressor and had everything fixed and ready to go by the end of the day. If you're looking for the nice guy neighborhood mechanic, this is the place.

If you are looking for an honest mechanic who will not excessively charge you, this is your place. Even if you are just looking for an opinion it is well worrh your time. Great customer service! Will be using them from now on.

Does Ashton work will come and pick up your vehicle if necessary uses only first quality parts and will tell you how much it's going to be before starting the job he has been my friend and my mechanic for over 30 years because he takes care of his customers not just because of friendship
