After being stranded the night before with no gas, barely a charge on my phone and waiting on roadside assistance that never showed I was super frustrated. Ubered home before my phone died to start over again today. Submitted my request through insurance for a new roadside assistance claim and it was 100% improvement from the night before. Grayson was amazing had my car filled with gas and stayed to make sure it started! I would definitely recommend them for their quality, reliability, customer service and going above and beyond!

Went in for an alignment for my 2018 Hyundai Elantra, as it was pulling hard to the left. After I had it serviced, it was still pulling just as hard, if not worse than before I took it in. Called back the same day with no answer and left a voicemail. Never received a callback. Went back in a second time some weeks later, after making a second appointment. They reset the electronic steering sensor. Alignment is somewhat better now, though still off.

Swift Auto was able to get my car in for diagnosis of engine light on the same day I called for an appointment. They were also able to fix it that day. Professional team of mechanics with a fair price of service. If they find any other issues with your car they will inform you. Thanks Joe for your expert help keeping my car on the road.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Car repairs are never fun, and I had a hiccup lately. A friend recommended Swift Auto because she personally knows the owner.I called to give them my scenario, they encouraged me to bring my car in and helped coordinate a tow. They called me back within a day (that s fast!) and had the repairs done quickly and affordably. The owner is a good and honest person, so if you have a need I would highly recommend contacting this group.Service: Electrical

When my check engine light first came on I decided to go to autozone to diagnose and they had told me I needed a new timing piece, which they said would have cost around $500-$800. Seeing the reviews for Swift Auto I decided to call them and see what they had to say. I m so glad I did! They were able to see that it wasn t that the part itself needed replaced, there was just an issue with one of the sensors on the part. They could have taken advantage and tried to get me to replace more parts, but they didn t, and instead advised me to keep monitoring it and that I was safe to keep driving. So all I ended up paying for was the diagnosis, which I feel like is very fair for how thorough they were. I also had to bring my kids in with me while they got it checked and was prepared to spend most of the day there. They saved me a lot of stress though by getting things done as quickly as they could and checking on me in the lobby every so often to make sure I was doing alright.Overall I definitely trust them and will continue to use their service!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I took my truck to Swift to get my brakes and some lightbulbs replaced and to get a rubbing sound from my brakes fixed. When I got my truck back, the rubbing sound was gone, but it started up again just a few days later. I called and spoke to who I think was the owner and he told me to bring it in. They fixed it for free.I'll be back any time I need work done. It's hard to find friendly, reliable shops and this is definitely one of the good ones.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

If you are looking for thorough diagnostics with accurate repairs, reasonable prices, and excellent respectful customer service, keep looking. Had a tuck that wouldn't start, had it towed there twice, spent several hundreds of dollars and again, it still won't start. We went there because of the good reviews that were posted. We went back the second time to give them a chance to make it right.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Broke down with a brake issue while traveling through to PA. Tow came quickly and Swift gave me thorough and honest up-front prices telling me what could wait for repair and what was needed. Parts had to come from the warehouse and I was back on the road in 4 hours. Very nice gentleman and mechanic. Clean waiting area and bathroom. Thanks guys!!

I dont reccommend this shop 2 nobody. I had my busin partner (J. Thompson's) 95 chevy 1/2 ton truck n for repair. These so called mechanics mis-disgnosed this truck 4 6wks saying it was a bad fuel pump chrg us over $1200 bucks n couldn't/didn't fix da problem. We had risk (our safety) driving the truck back across town 2 Stans Auto Electric who found a poor electrical ground after 3-4 hours labor.Swift Auto Repair displayed incompetance, A total lack of empathy after taking all our money n didn't fix nuthin. Im convinced they chg us 4 a fuel pump they didn't install.I would not take my vehicle 2 this place ever again! SHAME on you guys @ swift auto!!

I recently had my car serviced at Swift Auto Service. They did a fantastic job! The car was done in a timely manner and they worked with me on dropping off and picking up at a time that was convenient for me. The mechanics there do a great job with my car every time! I would highly recommend them!

** post 1 of 2 ** Should have learned my lesson with prior vehicle taken to Swift Auto but I didn't because he was local and close. About three years ago, I took my 2006 Ford Five Hundred to Swift Auto when I let the oil run out with 200,000 miles on it .... I needed an engine. Swift put a used engine in per my request and after getting it back I realized some bolts were missing on parts that mount inside the engine compartment and the fender liners were loose. Well I tightened them and the parts had some mounting bolts there and with the car having 200,000 miles, I went on. It's just sloppy work though. I drove the car for about a week and the used engine failed. I took it back to Swift who had purchased and charged me for a warranty so he obtained another engine to put in and when I asked what happened, he told me a BODY bolt was inside the engine and he didn't know how that happened but it wasn't him so they warrantied the engine. Well, I disagree. And I disagree because he had the used engine opened up due to a busted intake manifold and he had to use my original engine intake manifold to put on the used engine, so any body bolt could have fallen inside while he was doing that and given that I was missing body mounting bolts, it most likely was one of those and really was his fault. Again, I went on though because I was not paying for the engine to be replaced again, except it did cost me rental for two more weeks.Anyway, lets get to the present. In January 2016, my 2010 Ford Taurus had the water temp go up so I took to Swift as he was right down the road. He diagnosed it as a water pump failure and quoted me to replace it. He also advised that it took a special tool (which I found out later was to hold the timing in place) and he didn't have that tool. Clue 1 (never worked on a vehicle like mine as he doesn't have the tool). He gave me the option to take elsewhere or wait until he could get the tool in a couple of days. I compared rental for 2 days to another tow bill and told him to get the tool and fix it. 8 days after the initial breakdown, I got my vehicle back. 4 days later I notice large amount of oil in my driveway under my car. I take in and he tells me they caused the leak and he would fix it but would have to be in a couple of days. He filled the oil up and I went on with agreement to bring back in 2 days. 2 days later before I got the vehicle to him, it died at a stop light while at idle and would not restart. Was acting like a bad battery so had towed to Swift as was going there anyway. 4 days went by and I had heard nothing so I called and was told the timing chain had broken and he was about finished fixing it and told me how much it was going to cost. Wait, what? I never gave authorization to fix the timing chain. I spoke to a Ford dealer who said the chain should have been replaced with the water pump anyway but they don't just break for no reason on these cars anyway. I paid for the repair as I needed my car and get out of the rental I was in. I am an insurance damage appraiser by the way. **** continued in post 2 ****

Mr. Swift is a technically proficient mechanic but he lacks a level of professionalism, business acumen and most unfortunate a customer service attitude.I dropped my truck off with Joe on December 19th of 2015. I explained that a Dodge Dealership told me that computer (ECU/ECM) needed to be replaced. I explained the horrible situation this Dodge dealership put me in and how I had thought that they were trying to juice me. Because I required a running vehicle, I had already purchased another truck so I wasn't in a huge hurry but I was out $40,000 more than the estimated repair costs were going to be. My goal was simple. Get my local mechanic, someone I thought I could trust to do me right, to fix my truck so I could sell it and move on with my life.It took Joe and his mechanic three months to figure out that the computer needed to be replaced (as I had told him on day 1) and to provide a repair estimate for my insurance company. He states he submitted the claim three times over the course of three weeks but the insurance company never received it. I finally submitted it myself and it was received that day. Another three weeks wasted due to Mr. Swifts lack of business knowledge or desire to work with my insurance company as was originally requested. After the vehicle was fixed in month four, I arrived, paid for the repairs and when the vehicle came out, a electrical issue was being indicated on the dash. I told him I wouldn't take it. He apologized. I returned in two days, as I hand not received a phone call. Joe came to the counter, stated he had corrected the problem and handed me a bill for labor and a $90 code reader fee.I was taken a back. I asked why I was being charged for this electrical issue since it was 1) not there when I turned in the truck 2) should have been covered by the insurance in the first place not to mention the $90 code reader fee is a junk fee anyway. I mean give me a break, you just charged me $2700+ for a new computer, I think that paid for the code reader fee and any 'codes' would be connected to a computer/electrical repair claim and be covered by the insurance. Not only did Joe display horrible judgement by attempting to charge me for work that I didn't authorize, he clearly violated the insurance standards of performing supplemental repairs without receiving approval to do so. Note that I didn't authorize any additional work. While he claims I authorized the $190 because I said "I am not going to take it until you do what it takes to fix it" I was not explicit nor did he provide any estimate of work to be completed. I refused to pay the $190 bill until it was filed with the insurance as a supplemental. Between my refusal and the week that it took him to file the supplemental, he performed additional work without my knowledge increasing the bill another $270.I returned to find out that the new amount had ballooned to over $470. Joe was very defensive, arrogant and argumentative with me in front of another customer, my dad and his employee. He said he didn't care what the insurance was going to pay, I had to pay his amount. The supplemental claim was approved but it was still $50 short of his bill. He had no idea why and didn't care. He wouldn't help me figure it out and wasn't helpful in any way. When I took my keys to my truck, there was a dent in the drivers side door that was not there when I dropped off the truck five months earlier. Once agian, Joe refused to accept any responsibility and said it was impossible for it to happen in his shop. He refused to provide any assistance or provide insurance information.Over the five months that Joe Swift had my vehicle, he didn't call me one time to give a status update, didn't call once to inform me of any work he was doing. I had to call him and a weekly basis. For the first three months, Joe provided excuse after excuse of why the estimate was not available. After the estimate, he provided no assistance in coordinating with the insurance company. He shows no empathy with the customer.

Just took in my car for an oil change, asked them if they could put in a sensor that I BOUGHT.... They charged me 2 hours of labor and a $95 dollar diagnostics... ended up being $360 for an oil change?.... ridiculous and unprofessional. Joe told me all my sensors were fixed and the internal issues were resolved ...to walking outside and his employee told me all the problems are still there they just replaced the sensor I bought..
