Very trustworthy! Although it would be nice if they saw the vehicle on the say they could ( this time, said Monday but didn't get to it until Wednesday.) But that is the nature of the business...helpful and reasonable prices.

OUTSTANDING!!! Was in a pinch in town visiting family. Was to leave to go back to NC on Friday, car had been making an odd noise the day before. Desperately searched for a place to get it in the morning before leaving, NO luck till I remembered when I lived in Oaklandon 15 years ago, I had taken my vehicles to Ricks, so drove there to find still in business, and the following is a testimony to one reason why. Expressed my desperation to Marc, he immediately test drove the car then pulled it into the shop, wanting to at least try to identify the issue for me, this being around noon, soon determined it was the wheel bearings. He provided a written estimate, and said he could have it done that day, as long as no other issues were found during the work, thankfully there were not, and just after 4pm that day , he called and said the car was ready!!!! So I was able to make my drive back home the next day as planned. THANK YOU.. THANK YOU.THANK YOU.. to Ricks Service Center, Marc and his crew..Service: General repairs & maintenance

I literally just got my car towed there last night running and brand new battery starter etc. I get my car the next day and now it wouldn't even turn over as if my starter is bad .

I never leave negative reviews, I find them petty with a good explanation or misunderstanding; until now.We dropped off a new work van that had a burning smell. After a week we had eliminated stuck calipers, rubbing belts and air motor burn out. I finally found the culprit in that the previous owner had Way over filled the break fluid reservoir. All of this information was communicated to Ricks prior to dropping the working van off on a Friday. We told them we needed to pick the van up the Next Friday. One week.A week later, we left two messages, one on Thursday afternoon, and one at Friday 9:30 AM looking for status. No return call. At 11:20 Friday we decided to go pick up our van regardless of condition. We were told that they visually inspected the brakes, saw no cause for concern, but they still needed to drive the van to heat up the brakes to find the problem - One week after we dropped it off.Well, after a week I found the problem persists, the reservoir is still too high and the brake fluid smells "burnt" and was never touched. I really don't know what this experience was all about. However it will be a little while I will be back.

You cannot beat the customer service at Rick s. I ve newly moved to the area and needed an oil change and tire leak check. They were so nice, especially when I had to reschedule my initial appointment due to a family emergency. Everyone is super friendly, courteous and they don t try to sell you services you don t need. I will definitely be coming back to Rick s for all my auto needs.Services: Tires, Oil change

I have been going to Rick's service center for about 4 years and there's no where else I will go. I've gone to car x and my dealership and no one compares to how great this place is. Marc is always super helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you are completely satisfied. I had an issue with my tires not keeping air and took it to discount tire where they told me I needed all new wheels which would cost around $1000. When I told Marc about it he said that's them just trying to get more money for something that can be easily fixed for way less. They did the repair on my wheels and it only cost me around $130. I have had many issues with my dealership not listening to me about things being wrong with my car. When I took it to Rick's service center they were able to tell me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. Marc called my dealership and made sure they got the issues fixed for me and they did. (they were issues that were previously "fixed" by my dealership but my warranty required me to get it done by the dealership since they had already tried to fix the issue, so that is why Rick's service center was not able to do it for me. Don't buy a car from Ray Stillman btw). Recently I had yet another issue with my car that is partially covered by my warranty and Marc has been in contact with my warranty company many times to make sure things are getting handled. He even tried to get my warranty to cover more of the cost of the repair for me (thank you Marc!). No matter how far of a drive I have to do to get here I will always choose this shop over anywhere else. I highly recommend!!

Rick's Service Center diagnosed a series engine issue I had with my Hyundai Sonata. Marc the manager at Rick's was phenomenal in working with me once they discovered the engine issue. Marc worked with the warranty company to secure a replacement motor per the manufacturer warranty on the car. Marc and his team ordered, installed and tested the new motor and delivered it in a timely manner. Rick's is a great source for all types of auto repair. They're fair and they never push for unnecessary repairs. Ricks' will continue to get all of my business and I highly recommend anyone looking for a auto service center to consider using Rick's.Service: Engine repair

We have been customers for over 5 years. I have tried many shops in Indy, including several dealerships. None compare. Rick and Mark do quality work. They are honest and upfront. We never had a problem with any repairs or regular maintenance items. They are friendly and provide the best customer service.

Called Mark yesterday, my car wouldn't start (figured battery/alternator) - he let me know they could get me in asap, and even get me towed over there. Got a speedy return call that the diagnostic came back, it was a bad battery. They swapped it out, cleaned up the other mess from the battery and got me up and running in no time. This shop is amazing! They are honest, upfront with pricing, and do great work! Rick's is getting my business moving forward.

Wanted to send a big thank you to the team at Rick s Service Center and Marc. Recently brought my son s Jeep Liberty to Rick s after discovering some major concerns from another opinion in town that needed to be addressed. Since Rick s and Marc have done good jobs for us in the past we trusted their second opinion. The work that needed to be done was a big undertaking on their part, especially during chaotic times for the car industry. My family and I (my son especially) are very grateful for their time and efforts.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Two stars as they have helped in the past, but these past two times have not been good and I will not be returning. I made my last appointment a week in advance, and went 4 days without hearing a thing before I decided to just go get my car. When I picked it up they charged me for rebuilding my car door; why I have no idea as it had nothing to do with my requests. Then when I got the car home none of the door locks, windows, side mirrors worked - and they were fine when I dropped it off. So not only did they do nothing to repair the vehicle for 4 days straight, they actually made it worse and charged me for it. Quite a shame as I was happy to find a local car shop but now I'll have to look elsewhere.

Hands down, these guys are the best in the business. I have been taking my vehicles to Rick's for almost two years now, and I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. When my wife and I were looking at new houses earlier this year, part of our criteria was that the new place had to be close enough to Rick's, as I didn't want to have to find a new mechanic.Fast, friendly, honest, compassionate ... the list goes on. You will not be disappointed with this shop. Thanks for all that you guys do!

Wonderful Service, very knowledgeable, trust worthy & very reasonable price. My 9 year old car was making noise on high speed and RPM was very high. Before taking the care to Rick's Service Center, took the car to the dealer for a complete check-up. Dealer said, everything is fine, and you have to live with this noise and it is not anything serious. To get a second opinion took the car to Rick's center. Mark found immediately that the noise is coming from the front wheel bearing and it needs to be replaced. He also recommended to add some oil. With both, my car now drives very smooth without any issues. Thanks Mark! You got my business for lifetime!Highly recommend Rick's Service Center.

Rick's Service Center is an amazing place to get your car worked on! They are people you can trust and they are willing to go the second mile to help people. Plus, they are super at explaining problems and I should know we had a huge issue with our van and they were honest and fair! We can't thank Rick's enough for providing safety for our family through giving outstanding service to our vehicle.

My truck wouldn't start. After some basic diagnostics I determined it was something I wouldn't have the time to fix myself. So I contacted Rick's after reading the other reviews. I needed a tow to get my truck to the shop, so a tow was provided through Lawrence towing for $85. I had an electrical diagnostic, a starter and the labor for starter replacement. Total for everything including the tow was $420. They got it done quickly and I was very happy that they provided an estimate for my 100k tune up and servicing without me asking for it. I'll definitely bring my vehicles here in the future. Staff is professional and knowledgeable.

I have used Rick's twice. The first time, about a year ago, I had an issue a previous mechanic had "fixed" 4 TIMES! I was beyond frustrated and losing hope. I came here under recommendation of another (during peak COVID) and within a week the problem was finally and TRULY fixed; at a reasonable cost. I could not have been more pleased with the kindness, professionalism, and work done. Because a week, to fix the damage done by the prvs mechanic, was lighting fast! However, due to the previous issue...my car has additional issues. I dropped my car off Monday (5/23) and received a call EOD, Next day. The news is bad, very bad. But not to the fault of Ricks....their previous work has held true. So, after I got my assessment from Rick's, I asked my hubby to read over it... (my hubby is a commercial vehicle mechanic) and he confirmed everything Rick's told me was wrong....& confirmed the quoted price. Mark was not only understanding that I couldn't afford that HUGE price tag, but was patient with my irritation- concerning the prvs mechanic's follies. In short- even if I don't get this vehicle fixed, I will NOT take future vehicles anywhere else but here. They've earned my business, but more importantly, they've earned my TRUST!I HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent service. They know what they're talking about. Compared to the low-income garages and do-it-yourselfers that I've dealt with growing up, it is somewhat pricey. However oh, it is worth it. They managed to preserve and extend the life of a vehicle which had no business lasting as long as it did and they've already worked on my new vehicle and will make sure that it lasts for a long time as well.

So, I was having problems with my oil pressure light and I knew I was due for brake updates so I looked on Google to find a place near where I work and Rick's had the best reviews, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I also knew that NAPA is usually pretty good quality parts. Well, I would like to say that they certainly live up to their reviews. Mark (Marc?) has been so amazing with helping me. They did a great job on my brakes and have been working with me on the other problem which is most likely still covered under my factory warranty, which leads me to the big thing that has impressed me the most. He's been completely honest with me about it. He could have told me it wasn't covered and take advantage, but he didn't. I admit, I am one of those people who knows next to nothing about cars, and it's been refreshing to work with someone who doesn't take advantage of that and is honest about what they do. I recommend them highly without any reservation.

I called them today about my rear main on my 5.3L Silverado. They told me they could fix it and about how much it would cost. Then they told me that they didn t recommend me doing the repair because it would happen again in a very short period of time due to the way the 5.3L engine works. They recommended me not wasting the money. Very honest. They could have easily taken my $2k for the job and got return business when it went bad again but instead they chose to do the right thing and look out for me, the customer.

I made an appointment a week ago to get my car transmission flushed. I brought it first thing in the morning before the owner was even there. They had my car for 5 hours and didn't do nothing. Told me it would be in first thing in the morning 5 hours later nothing done tell me who's going to wait for his guys to get back from lunch yet when I pulled up they were already off lunch and working on other cars. You told me if I brought it in first thing in the morning that it would be done for my appointment at 1. You had my car for 5 hours and did nothing but give me excuses why it wasn't done even tho it only takes two hours to do as you say. As far as my ac you give me a price I paid it then when it was all over with you charged me 30 dollars for a bolt. You weren't that much cheaper.

TLDR: I believe they screwed me for almost 400 dollars and tried to get 800 more right in the middle of tax season. Was able to get my car fixed elsewhere for less than 300 and it's been running great for a couple months.About 2 months ago I went to this place because it was nearby and my car was leaking coolant quickly. They were able to take my car quickly and got back to me with the "problem". It was almost a 400 dollar fix, and I told them to go ahead and do it. They seemed trustworthy enough, my usual mechanic isn't answering the phone and I need my car asap. Well after they "fixed the problem", within 48 hours my car has run out of coolant again. So I called them back and asked them to take another look. They told me more problems arose after the first fix. It was going to cost me about 800 dollars this time. I was appalled by this, and decided to call my mechanic one more time and he answered. He was able to see me soon. So I went to Rick's and asked them to explain the new problem, and they did and said it would need a new water pump and something else. I told them thanks for the information, and I was going to get a second opinion. When I said this, the man got very defensive and insulted my mechanic's ability to do work while having no idea whether what he was referencing was my mechanic's or another's work. When I took it to my mechanic and showed him the receipt of the first repair, he believed he had already replaced the part they claimed to have replaced and that it was the same part. He also told me that the water pump was fine and the other part they wanted to replace wasn't the source of the problem. On top of that , he was able to fix the problem for less than 300 dollars. Like I said it's been two months since this happened, I drive a lot, and my car is running great. I truly believe that they were trying to screw me out of tax return money and I'm glad that I only lost 400 dollars to them. So sorry for posting this at the end of tax season, but hopefully this review will help people in the future.

Rick's Service Center was a great experience! I brought my car in with a broken side mirror and Marc had a new one ordered, painted, and installed onto my car within the same week which was very convenient and all done at a reasonable price.
