I can't say enough good things about Peters Auto Service! I have taken several of ours cars here and they have always been fair with their cost and timely with the repairs! I will continue to take my cars here! Speedy and the guys are super respectful and never make you feel like you are bothering them when you have a zillion follow up questions which is so uncommon these days! We truly appreciate the work that you all do!

They do good quality work for a good quality price. I ve had my 04 Jeep Liberty worked on. The first time I had one ball joint replaced and the second time the other ball joint and all control arms replaced. My Jeep is driving solid again. I called these guys to look at a coolant leak. I had no formal appointment and brought it in at 1pm on a Friday of a Holiday weekend. My boss was going to write me up if I couldn't get to work the following day after the holiday. I let the guys here know that and asked they do the best they could. Fixed my leak. Charged a good price. And they were done by 3pm that day. I will definitely be returning to Peters for any future work.

Very great trustworthy shop to take your ride. Had the whole front end replaced in my kia and they got it done at a great price and had me in and out same day. They really know their stuff there so I wouldn't hesitate to take them the daily driver or even the garage queen show/weekend ride.

I came to Peter s Auto Service without an appointment because my car was breaking down on my way home from work. The auto service happened to be the closest off of the random exit I pulled off on. Nigel and his father were willing help me figure out what was going on immediately. They were understanding, diagnosed the problem, explained everything in an clear and easy way, gave me a quote, a few tips to get home safe, and didn t charge me anything for their time! Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend.

I have lived in Indy for a number of years now and the service here is astounding. Nigel and his crew are friendly, and informative from start to finish on the process with working on your vehicle. They are not out to pocket your money, but rather provide a quality service to who I can tell are long term customers for a reason. This was my first time there but I will certainly be back with any future vehicle needs.

I've had the whole front end of my truck replaced by them, as well as the whole right rear suspension and brakes after a wreck. Absolutely do not use this place!! I had brake work done and they first tried to overcharge me until I said I was coming to pick it up then magically they were able to do it cheaper. Even worse, once I got the truck home I found a disconnected axle cable they had removed but forgot to put back. Also, I have a rattle coming from the area they worked on that wasn t there before. Really dangerous shop that looks like a junk yard. Drive by and see for yourself. Please find another shop!Service: Brakes

Lack of professionalism. You want to waste money take to them.I Will Not recommend, 5 months with my car, didn t fix it right and always find an excuse not to finish it. You can t expect a lemon to give you orange juice. Young manager is actually not a mechanic, took my car to somebody else to do the job which did it worse. Awe full service.

Decent place to get your car worked on. If you are in a bind, most times they will be able to work you in sooner rather than later although it will almost always take you dropping off your car in the morning and picking it up once its been worked on.Have had my car fixed here twice for wheel bearings and to fix an oil leak and both times they did a good job. Not the cheapest place by any means, but the job will get done and as far as I can tell Dave, the owner, is an honest and good mechanic.

Outstanding Work and Customer Service! When my mustang broke down I needed to find a mechanic like the one I had in the small town I moved from 7 years ago, Trusty, Affordable and quality work in a timely fashion. And for the past 7 years Peters has been doing just that every time I drop a car off there. Dave and the guys have never let me down and have exceeded expectations every time. They won't jack you around and are up front about every red cent that will be spent to get you on the road again. As far as I'm concerned there aren't any other mechanics in the city and will recommend only these guys to everyone.

I first heard about the shop from a work associate. I called about a Toyota Camry water pump. I had been quoted $800.00 plus from another shop. Dave quoted about $400 to 450 without seeing the car. My bill was right on the money. I have been a mechanic and work on my own vehicle most of the time. I can fully recommend Peter's Auto as a great shop.

First of all, let me say that I would never take another vehicle of mine or recommend anyone to Peter's. He called me and told me someone was trying to repossess my vehicle which I am grateful he did even though my car is paid for. It's a 1995 Chevy Caprice Classic with a engine of 65,000 miles. My receipt says that I started being charged 8/19/16 when i brought my vehicle in on 08/01/16. So, for 19 days my vehicle sat outside not getting worked on and I was patiently waiting for him to inform me about the cost and labor. When I first brought it to them I told them all I wanted was a timing chain bolt removed and the timing chain adjusted. Week after week for a month I was calling and asking the status of my vehicle. Each time I called they told me that they have not checked the car after having it for a month. After having my car for a month, I spoke to him on the phone, he informs me it needed a water pump and a distributor I said "Let me know how much it will cost to do the job and what parts I will need because I have warranty on all my parts." But instead, he failed to call me to inform me he was going to put the new parts on or how much it will cost. So he worked on my vehicle and added charges on my invoice that I did not agree to. When I go to speak with him about the work he had done, he informed me that of all the work he had done was on the invoice which totaled over a $1000.00!!!! Which was supposed to be a bill of $300.00 like I had expected to pay. So, in order for me to get my vehicle back I had to pay that $1000 which was very unfair and unprofessional for me to foot that type of bill, when I did not okay the job. When I addressed him about the work he did without my permission, I didn't get no response back. So I asked for my keys and left his facility. So I went home and looked at the bill and he had the audacity to charge me for a storage fee starting on 09/01 at $25.00/day, when he had my car for a whole month before he had started working on it! So i don't recommend him and if I would have had a personal lawyer I would have taken legal action. But since I can't I will express my emotions on here and hope no one else gets ripped off by this place. My invoice says 350 5.7 when it is a 4.3L engine. Which let me know he didn't know what he was doing. My car still sound like crap. He did a HORRIBLE job. It still backfires, so I paid $1000 to have a mechanic store my car. ..........................To respond to the owner. You never told me a charge when I first went into your shop If you had my car for a month, before you even did any work on my vehicle. So how would I know how much I was charged if you haven't worked on my car till three weeks later. Understand as a business your suppose to let the person know what your going to do to their vehicle before you actually do the work. You called me twice , once to tell me that someone was trying to take my car and the second to tell me that the work was done. I called you and checked up on my car. It doesn't matter who put my engine in the job was to fix it. If you couldn't do the job you should have said so instead of charging me for a service you never accomplished, my car runs like crap due to your work. I You had my car for almost a month without doing any work to it & then have the nerve to charge me a storage fee. Your way of handling business when your in the wrong is very unprofessional. I called you constantly and I told you let me know before you do the work, because I have warranty on all my parts. I communicated with you, you didn't communicate with me. There were times I went to your business to make sure my car was there, so don't act like You are a very over priced shop for the bad work that you do. I stand by what I said about you and your work. Why would I have you remove the parts on my car, so you could have my car at your shop for another month. Then charge me for more storage fees. You are a bad business man , like I said before I would never recommend anyone to your establishment ever.

Peter's Auto is good work at a fair price. I've taken all my vehicles there for years. Service was and is always stellar, friendly and exactly what was needed. This is the only auto shop I have ever completely trusted.

My family has known Dave all his life, 2 years ago I was faced with stage 4 heart failure. I was in desperate need of a heart transplant, this effected my wife and kids due to the fact I always did my own work on my cars. My uncle told me to take it to Dave, and the service, price, work, and overall experience has been absolutely great. Both of my vehicles had some major work that needed done to make them safe for the family, Dave has always told me pricing before work done, and has never, ever tried to up sale anything to me. I have spent a lot of money with him, but we'll worth it!!! By the way I received my new heart July 30th 2016!!

I've spent way to much money there, it was money well spent. My son fell prey to an unscrupulous used care dealer and over several months I have put enough into that boat anchor to buy another car. He needed it every week to drive to college and something else would break. This is not a fancy chain shop that nickel and dimes you to death. It s dirty and greasy and all about auto mechanics. They worked with me to get figure out the lowest cost way to get it back on the road. Found me a good used engine with a warranty instead of a rebuilt. The service and pricing have been very good. If you want a comfy chair and espresso while watching the big screen in the lobby while they change your oil and show you how dirty your air filter is, this is not your place. If you want someone that knows auto repair and how the business works this is where I go.

I took my car in to get a motor mount replaced a couple of months ago because my engine was shaking.They told me to be there at 8:30 and I arrived 8:40 and dropped it off. I told them I would like a diagnosis but I thought it was the motor mount. I was called later that day and they asked me again what I thought was wrong with it. Then they said because I DIDN'T TELL THEM EARLIER they couldn't work on it that day or the next. I took my car back from them. Why make an appointment for me if you don't have time to work on it?I stupidly took it back again about a week later because the location is very convenient.They said it was my motor mount that was loose and causing my engine to lean. The motor shakes less so I know they at least tightened it.( I looked later with a mechanic friend and they did put a new motor mount in)When I picked up my car I found out they changed my air filter WITHOUT ASKING ME. And claimed to have called me and left a voicemail saying it needed to be changed ( I never had a missed call or a voicemail and nothing was mentioned when they called about my control arm)They also convinced me that I needed to replace my control arm on my car when I hadn't noticed my car pulling or any of the symptoms of a bent arm. They said it couldn't be put off and should be replaced. After I paid over price for the arm my car doesn't drive any different and I'm not even sure they aligned my tires correctly because the stance of the rear wheel on which the control arm was just replaced is visibly at an angle and steering is VERY stiff. ( Also, he told me they don't even have the equipment to do an alignment at his shop and they borrow it from another mechanic's shop) and there was never a printout from the alignment saying how out of whack it was or charge on my bill.Thankfully they did remove the charge for the air filter ($20 big whoop) AFTER I asked for the old one back ( I had just taken my car in for an oil change at Walmart and they checked it and said if was fine, not "black" as Peters claimed)Never going here again. Owner is manipulative and treated me like I was a child. (Which I was for letting them replace my control arm without getting a second opinion)
