We had a great experience. My car was towed in with a flat tire the day after Christmas. They were very busy, but told me they would get my tire fixed that day. My car was done when promised. They made it super quick and easy process.

Heard a noise while driving. Took the car to Pep Boys and they got us in immediately. They assessed the situation and made the necessary repair. Would visit this location again.

The manager was extremely helpful. Gave me a great deal on tires. Was in and out quickly. Have also had an alignment done there also. The quality and turn around time is consistent. Would highly recommend!

Made appointment online and had installation price set for my daughter s first set of tires. When she left she paid $169 more than she should have. Advice- send your daughter to a more reputable shop where they don t rip off young women. Cross Pep Boys off the list. lesson learned.

The location was stripped down to just service, no shop. Short staffed, not a fault of their own, but made scheduling service within certain time frames difficult. That plus online service via website was not pertaining to the location. So if you set something up online, there's a chance the location won't have what you need.But the staff they did have were friendly and courteous. Just seems like a company spread problem, a shame really.

Felt taken advantage of. Didn t provide me no info on vehicle and kept it for a full day when it was just supposed to be a FREE service. But ended up with 100 out of my pocket. Very displeased. Was told I was gonna pay something either way. Terrible.

Wasted time. I made an appointment for Sunday, only to drive all the way there to find the store closed. The funny thing is they have this huge banner above the workshop bay door that says "OPEN SUNDAYS".

The shop was open on a Sunday, on Christmas Eve, and fixed our flat tire in about 30 minutes. Really, really appreciated their being open and able to help us out of a jam.

My car stopped, & my car was jump started. I took my car into Pep Boys since I bought the battery from them in 2021. I wanted my battery checked to rule it out as a cause. They (David) said I was just outside the 30 month warranty period. I dropped it off at 6:30p. David said there were no more technicians, so I had to leave it overnight. I called close to the afternoon the next day. My car still had not been evaluated. I called again at around 5p, & it still was not ready. David finally called at 6p & said itvwas ready. David reported the battery was replaced, & a wire was replaced. I paid $219 since they said I was just outside the warranty period. The next day my car gave the same warnings on the dash, & it died again. By chance, I was at the Honda dealership because I needed my radio reprogrammed. I had just got off the highway! The dealership tested my battery in minutes, & they said it was not my battery but my alternator! I was upset because my car was not diagnosed correctly which put me in harms way!!! Also, the whole ordeal over something so simple took entirely too long! I received excuses the assigned technician was training staff the whole day, so I was kept waiting. I do not trust this Pep Boys!

Despite their mask policy many employees are not wearing masks including I believe the one who drove my car out of the garage which feels like a violation of my personal space. This is unsafe, irresponsible, and disrespectful. Theyre not following their own guidelines nor the local ordinance which makes it hard for me to believe that they will follow other best practices with the cars

I called to get my brakes inspected and they scheduled me for 9am the next day. I called all day for updates and at the end of the day they never got to my car. They said they were under staffed and if I needed to come get the car I could. I feel like the guy was super rude and not understanding at all. I will not be coming back here.

We were passing through Indianapolis and realized we had very loose lug nuts on one of our tires. Chewy went above and beyond to make sure all tires were safe for us to continue. We appreciated his time and helpful nature. Thank you!!

I went there for tire replacement. The check air light stayed on after I left . I let them know this and they said they would repair it my next trip in. I only put about 4-5k miles a year on my car so when I finally went back in , the new management said there was no notes and they weren't going to do it . I know you should get everything in writing so my bad. They were very rude about it and refused to give me a straight answer until I asked the 3rd time while they were servicing my car.Update:The people answering this review really did try to make it right. They get 5 stars. They sent me back to the same pep boys , who after checking it told me the one air pressure sensor was bad , but the other 3 were at 40% battery life, so I might want to look at replacing all of them. I'm not going to worry about 40% life on a 9 year old car, would you? So they ordered the part and I went in the next day. Then they told me that it was a coincidence that that the light stayed on after the tire service and that the battery was dead on this one. That they would charge me 90 dollars to replace it. I said I've been looking at the light for over a year, guess I'm going to continue to look at it. He told me he could show me it wasn't broken. I replied like I would know the difference and to just get my keys back to me. He then comped the service. So I would give the people handling this 5 stars but would continue the 1 star for the shop itself.

Manager was super helpful. They got my car that was towed to them done in 2 hours. Manager was super knowledgeable, providing me with lots of options in different price ranges. Very helpful to not only me but other customers in front of me when I came for pickup. Would use again.

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I needed a turn signal changed and called to make an appointment. It took about and hour for them to start on my car despite having the appointment. Then they're looking all over the shop for a bulb only to not have the one I needed. After two hours, they decide they can't complete the job, take a picture of the bulb, and put my car back together.They assure me that they're leaving the details for the manager to order in the morning and it should be the same day it's ordered. I wait until midday the next day and call to see if the bulb is in. It wasn't ordered because the info wasn't left. The manager said I could come back in and they'd take a look at it and get it ordered. After already wasting two+ hours of my life, there was no way I was going to do that.And now a few days later I got an automated email from them asking to reschedule my appointment because "they're sorry I couldn't make me appointment". I made my appointment, they just weren't able to complete the job due to their lack of management.Every customer I saw in the two hours I sat there waiting seemed to also have a terrible experience. Avoid at all costs.

So i took my car in for an alignment and they did a total car inspection and killed my starter!!! Now i have an even more expensive problem to fix! I did not ask for this to be done. Never was asked or told it would be done! I was told 100 things came up that need repairs but the starter was not one.and i know for a fact some things they wanted to charge me to fix I HAD JUST HAD REPAIRED! SCAMMERS!!!! I parked my car after pick up and an hour later it would not start. I spent so much time checking out because the guy was clueless about EVERYTHING i would NEVER return. BEWARE!!!

Told it was an hour to get two new tires. Now over 3 hours later I m still waiting. They should have been honest with me. They were not. Price is not everything, honesty is. I m still waiting.

Had to switch locations from E Washington to Lafayette rd. Because of customer service I have to say it is very busy at this location and after dealing with the manager mark I know why. He had a sense of humor that was out of this world. Him and his crew are very friendly and they do a good job this will be my new location.

I found Pep Boys services to be top of the line. I used them when I lived in VA. They will take good care of your automobile. I found the same courtesy at the IN location. Glad they are all over the U.S.

Great service! Fast and friendly. I never felt like they were trying to over sell or charge me for what was very obviously emergency services. Staff answered all my questions and took time to explain things to me so I understood what was going on. Above all else the staff went out of their way to try and make this entire transaction as pleasant as possible. A great pick me up on a horrible Friday the 13th.

I was glad they were in my area I've been to them before they are Pleasant they did a good job I didn't know that I had so many problems with my car or my SUV they showed me love they were patient with me even my daughter who's got a big mouth but God is still good I love them and I appreciate what they did for me you guys be blessed and thank you so much

Went in for brake pads and rotors, on my day off which happened to be my birthday. This was something I didn t need urgently done, but I was off work and figured I would check out Pep Boys because of the good reviews. Was told it would only take 1.5 to 2 hours. So I decided to stay there and wait.. after almost 2 hours I was told everything is on track and still good and it will be almost done. Great! Then all of a sudden, they didn t have the right part and they said they will have it done the next morning.. not how I wanted to spend my birthday, not having a car, for something that I didn t need urgently done. I would ve waited and rescheduled if they were honest. So the next morning I call, they say it will be one of the cars they work on next. I have to pay Uber to get to work.. I keep calling every few hours throughout the day to check the status, because I need my car back that day and have to make a time to leave work to get it. Finally they tell me it s ready. I pay for Uber again to get there, but had to wait an additional 30 min because they were having a problem putting a rotor back on. Then I thought the guy was giving me an extra discount for all the trouble, but it ended up being a $40 coupon that I was already planning on using. I wasted my whole birthday on this place, and wasted extra money paying for Uber and taking over an hour pay cut out of my work day to pick the car up. If they would have told me they didn t have the right part to get it done that day, I gladly would ve scheduled an appointment for a different day, than waste all my time and money. Never had such bad service at an auto shop. This was my first and my last time at pep boys.

We had the best experience with Pep Boys at Lafayette road!Wanted to schedule a last minute pre purchase used car inspection.Not only did they help us in getting it done at 6 in the evening. They also were extremely thorough and didn t overcharge us.Would definitely recommend this auto shop for anything to do with your cars !

This review is really hard to post but it definitely needs to be done. I was told by my warranty company to go to this company for the repair of a water pump and alternator. It was towed on 10/17/2022. On 10/26/2022 they still had not started the work but had run a diagnostic test on it. After another week or so, they kept telling me that they were waiting for a special tool that they had to order to fix the car. November 1, 2022 they were still waiting for a special tool. I did not get any communication from them still after all of the back and forth phone calls I finally I called to find out what the hold up was. I was told that my car would not start and they had to send it over to another dealer to On November 12, 2022 I finally get a call from Mark stating they had sent the car to Tom Wood Ford and that they would be finishing the car. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL after 5 days I was still without a car. I call over to Tom Wood Ford and they tell me I need an engine for the car and that Pep Boys had literally messed the car up to the point of me needing to have a new engine. Long story short, they accepted responsibility and now are trying to lowball me for totaling out the car. I will never ever go them again and before anyone else does I suggest you find out if they can really repair your car.

Thank you so much, Mark! Such kind and compassionate service! Leaving the Children's Museum with my grandchildren my car wouldn't start. Said key wasn't detected. Thankfully chose to have it towed to this store and it was fixed by evening and I could pick it up. Turned out battery had a lot of corrosion and just needed cleaned!Mark didn't charge me, so grateful to him! I will be bringing my cars here for service!
