If I can give this place 6 stars, I would. I had very custom exhaust work done here as shown that no one else would do except for Curt. The GM Mike is really nice and he will talk with you and have a conversation with you the whole time you are there. I ve been there for hours a couple of days. Curt is definitely the best in the business when it comes to exhaust work.Highly recommend them

Monro Brake and muffler is the place prayer led me to. It was a while before I could actually reach them but I did finally get there. I didn't know I had a frozen caliper, needed pads on both front tires and three new brake lines. It's and old car but it's back on the road and safe and future appointment to bring everything in order. The best customer service in the industry and reasonable charges. I was able to get what I came in for. I love that they stayed within my budget and advised on what may occur, told me what to look for. No pressure sales, clean and professional environment. They barely let me buy lunch. Great experience

I had an absolutely awesome experience! Eric helped me. My vehicle had died on me and needed towed at 11 o clock at night. I had it towed to Monros. It was an awful experience and I was worried for what was to come because every auto place I have ever taken my vehicle has been a less than great experience. I feel taken advantage on and that the place does not care about me or my vehicle in slightest, they are just making money off of me. The normal experience for me has been taking in my vehicle and then getting a call at the end asking for over a 1000 dollars with multiple issues that don t get explained. And since I don t know much about vehicles, I just pay it because what else am I supposed to do. This experience was the complete opposite! Eric kept me updated the entire time. He called 3 times on Monday to let me know where they were at in the process and what they were doing. When they figured out what the problem was he educated me on what that meant. It was just an all around way more comfortable experience and the pricing was extremely fair. He even sent me photos throughout the process and kept the broken parts to show me when I came in to pay. Definitely bring your vehicle here if you ve ever had an uncomfortable experience at an auto shop as a woman or any person who is not super educated on vehicles or have felt taken advantage of! I will be recommending to all of my friends and family!

- SCAMS - DELIBERATELY TRY TO RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!ALL THOSE HORROR STORIES OF CAR SHOPS TRYING TO CHARGE WAY TOO MUCH, AND FIX THINGS THAT AREN'T ACTUALLY WRONG - YEAH THAT IS THIS PLACE.For context, my car is 2008 Toyota Camry - these are known for being easy and affordable cars when it comes to maintenance.I went in to get my brakes done several months ago, and was wildly overcharged. He tried to charge me almost $900 for ONLY REAR brake pads and rotors. RIP OFF. I talked him down to $600, but man this should not be a negotiation, GIVE ME A FAIR PRICE AND I AM GLAD TO PAY IT!Then the guy calls back and says my car needs new inner and outer tie rods too - $1,700+. But I told him I am not paying that much to fix a 15 year old car. I might as well get a new car at that point. So he said he runs his own "mobile" car shop and if I paid him under the table and left Monro out of it and went out and bought the parts myself, he would do it for $800. SKETCHY.BUT HERE IS WHERE IT GETS EVEN BETTER!*I brought my car to the mechanic I trust who is highly accredited in his field because I was weary of this scam artist- AND THERE WASN'T ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY TIE RODS AT ALL. He insisted that there wasn't a single thing wrong with my car. Who knows if Monro even intended on replacing the tie rods at all or if I was just going to be tricked into thinking he replaced them, but either way, this is unacceptable.I go to a mechanic shop because I am not interested in working on my car myself - therefore I am going to them to be the professional and advise me on how to keep my car in good shape. But this employee (I wish I remembered his name) will take advantage of you at every chance he gets. I don't know if he is just a bad apple of the bunch, but this man should not have anything to do with cars.

EDIT: Came back in and talked to Anthony, the store manager, and we got everything straightened out, so I've updated my rating accordingly for excellent customer service and willingness to hear out my concerns.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Severely disappointed with the quality of work and speed of service. When I brought my car in, I talked to Anthony and he put the car up on the lift and showed me the problem. As I suspected, the exhaust pipe had rusted through. He pointed out that because of how rusty the exhaust pipe was, they wouldn't be able to weld it, so they would have to replace the entire exhaust from where it attached to the manifold because it had been welded together when it was installed, instead of bolted. He said it would take about two and a half hours, cost roughly $2K, and I made an appointment for my next day off.Brought the car in at around 10 am, they had the old exhaust off by 11.I patiently waited for SIX MORE HOURS before learning that they didn't have the parts to finish installing the new exhaust and I'd have to come back when they got a replacement bolt. Another hour passed while we waited for a new O2 sensor to arrive, and I was stunned to see that the the shock mounts holding the muffler were sideways because the exhaust assembly was about two inches too long and the top of the tailpipe was rubbing the back bumper. When I expressed concern that that might cause the bumper to melt, the two guys didn't seem to know how to answer. Turns out both of them had only been hired within the last three weeks and the only manager was out sick.Eight hours later, my brand new exhaust is (kinda) installed, and I'm standing in the service bay door, watching the two guys FaceTime with one of their other coworkers and smelling something burning, while watching the tailpipe send vibrations through my back bumper.Glad I haven't paid yet.

Tire popped a few weeks ago from a child-eating sized pothole late Saturday night. While waiting for the tow truck I looked on Monro s website and Google and both listed this business to be open Sunday 9am-5pm score!! Had the tow vehicle drop my car off and patiently waited. This being brand new to me car of less than a month I was lucky to have chosen tire/wheel protection, when I called the protection company Sunday mid morning I was told to call the shop and have them submit documentation and they would authorize. I called Monro 4 times- no answer. Early afternoon came and went and still no return call so I had a friend give me a ride and guess what? I arrived and they were CLOSED. I called out of work Monday and called Monro again mid-morning and told them exactly what they had to do to authorize any work needed. Time went by and after 3pm with their 6pm closing window rapidly approaching I again called - they stated they had submitted everything and were waiting on my protection company. After playing telephone between Monro and my protection company (4 additional calls to each) Monro had never submitted any documentation through the whole day and had just been sitting on my car. At 6:15pm I was still trying to expedite this process and found out they had finally submitted the proper documents (literally just stating what was wrong with the tires, justifying new ones needing to be used, and the cost) my protection company took less than 15 minutes to review and authorize work. Well- too little too late. I was forced to call out of work again for Tuesday.Overall new tires were placed, I picked up my car mid-afternoon with no chance of going into work.Had I known they were not open on Sunday like their website and Google says I d have taken my car to the 3 other tire places that are actually open on Sunday.

After aimlessly driving around the area looking for a place to get an oil change before driving to Virginia later that night, on labor day of all days... I finally landed at Monro muffler brake about to call it quits. Curtis was the only person available and was able to take in my car and do the service I needed done. Not only did he complete the job but he was extremely professional, polite, and finished my vehicle in no time at all. I'll definitely be returning to this location in the future because the outstanding customer service and professionalism. Thank you Curtis!

My mom's car came out of another auto body shop and discovered the hood latch was improperly installed and a bolt fell out. We weren't close to the body shop and they were closed anyway. The guys here today went above and beyond putting it back together without wanting anything in return.

I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! This is the 3rd time within the year I have went to them for a service and appointment scheduled but when arriving always told that the person who does the specific work I'm looking to get done has not arrived. I walk in and one associate has food on layer out on counter eating. This poor guy almost choked and could not talk for a good 5 minutes while stuffing food in his mouth standing at the counter. Very hard to find good customer service anymore. I will never try this place again.

I had a pre-purchase inspection here. Scheduling was easy, appointment was fast, and everyone was very good at detailing the car's problems for non-experts. They saved me from buying a bad vehicle. I'm very happy with the service here.

Courteous, professional service. On a recent trip moving equipment from Grand Rapids to Mississippi had an issue with a low tire. Stopped by this Monro Center at 8am to see if they would put some air in the tire for me. As it was 10 degrees outside, I expected the employee to direct me to the local gas station to pay the $1.50 to put air in the tire. He said no problem opened the overhead door and grabbed an air hose to take care of the problem. It's good to see there are businesses who still provide customer service.

I ve been to this Monroe a few times now and each time the service was great. Amanda and Dustin are awesome! I had some car trouble that they were able to diagnose and fix within 24 hours. They both went above and beyond to help me get our family car back on the road and at a reasonable price too! I appreciate their help and would highly recommend them to anyone needed good quality service. I will certainly be back when I have other needs arise.

I had 4 primary interactions:The man who took my first call and checked my car in when I dropped it off--he was awesome. Very helpful. However, in the middle of my sentence, while I was talking to him, another man came in from the repair bay, walked through the front desk area, and shouted what he thought was wrong with my car based on what he'd heard me saying. He didn't stay around to explain more or offer to help, but instead continued through the door, leaving us behind. It was as if he thought he was on a quiz show and I was going to hand out a prize to whoever guessed what was wrong first. It was really rude.I spoke with one person on the phone who was asking if they could proceed with repairs. I had to call back later, and left a voicemail telling them to go ahead. When he called back, he said "*You* didn't call back" sounding very defensive and accusatory. When I came to pick up my car, we talked to Jared. Jared was fantastic. He was helpful, pleasant, and answered all our questions, and should be in charge of training the others how to engage customers, because currently, it is very rocky, and I would not recommend friends to this location, even though the repairs have been good quality.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. If you value your safety, time & hard earned dollars, DO NOT go to Monro.I had been a loyal customer at Monro on 96th Street in Fishers for 3 years. I initially had taken my car in to have brake work done in February 2021. I knew there was a lot of work to be done. I had to have my pads, rotors, brake line & calipers replaced. $1,400+. No big deal, the work needed done.Four months later my brakes are acting weird again & I take my car back to this location. I was told that my brake booster needed to be replaced, add on another $500.Six months later I take my car back to this location to get an oil change & to replace my tires. I was then told that I also needed new control arms, add on another $1,700+.Less than a year and a half later I notice that there is still issues with my brakes along with a shakiness of my car when driving on the interstate.August 5th, 2023; I had taken my car back in to Monro to have them repair what was going on since I had trusted them as professionals for the past three years. I told them everything that had been going on and they did their "Free Diagnostic" on it that took all of but 10 minutes. I was told that my tire rods needed replaced & my brake line bled but they did not see any other issues with my vehicle. This was another $800+.Shortly after picking my car up from the last visit, I notice that my brakes are still having issues. I ask to bring my car back in the following Saturday (August 12th) & I was told that was okay. Ended up getting cancelled on because the tech that was supposed to be there to assist had called off but that I could bring it in the following day.I take my car back on Sunday (August 13th) for them to bleed the brake line again just for my brake system to completely go out as they were working on it. I was then told that I needed a new brake booster & calipers.. Both parts that were replaced TWO years ago!I was then told that they would not have anyone available to fix my car until Tuesday (August 15th). I call on Tuesday and I was told by the GM, Kurtis, that when they had originally replaced my brake booster they did not put on the brake booster valve. And that they were waiting for all of the parts to be ordered in and that my car would be ready on Wednesday. I call Wednesday and am then told they were still waiting on parts and my car would be ready on Thursday. They did not reach out to me to give any updates until my car was ready to be picked up Thursday, August 17th at 5pm.Leave with my car thinking everything was fine until I noticed the brakes were still not working properly and my alignment was so off!!! I go right back to the shop and am then told that they THINK it is my brake master cylinder and that I could bring it back in the following Saturday to have it replaced. I was quoted $500+. I specifically asked Kurtis, the GM if it was safe to drive with a bad master cylinder because I drive 2+ hours for work each day. HE SAID YES. WTH?!?!I have had it at this point. They had my car for 6+ days within the past 3 weeks and they still didn't have a sound decision as to what was wrong with my car, so I got a second opinion.Upon diagnosing my vehicle thoroughly, I was told my master brake cylinder is fine, my calipers were never replaced and was shown where they were old and worn. The bolt above my right front caliper was stuck, not allowing the caliper to slide. In addition, my left front balljoint was bad even after just having the control arms replaced a year ago. & my front left CV Axle was cracked!! HOW DID MONRO NOT NOTICE THESE THINGS IN THE 6 DAYS THEY HAD MY CAR?!I call & explain my concerns and frustrations, request reimbursement with Kurtis, the GM & he tells me that he will have his district manager get in contact with me on Monday, August 21st. Two days later, I never heard anything so I called their 1800 customer support number, made a case & was told that the DM would reach out to me. Here it is Friday, August 25th and I have yet to hear from the DM.

Horrible service. The 96th street location is on their third manager in the last three months. Each one told me that they would correct what the last manager did, but they only continued to damage my rims. I brought my truck in for a right front brake issue and they told me that I needed all new rotors. After replacing them, the issue wasn't fixed. I took the truck back in three additional times for them to tell me nothing was wrong with my brakes. One trip to the ford dealership and they told me that the right front caliper pad was at 1/32 and that any brake place should've been able to fix this.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Seriously the only place I trust and worth the drive. We are 45 minutes away from this location, have a different Monroe's that is closer, but we have always received the best customer service here. Dustin is just an all around stand up guy who knows what he's doing. I can't remember the front desk girls name, but she was so sweet and polite. Great location, awesome employees and the best damn service out there. Thank you guys for taking care of our vehicles.

They are simply the best! I had a tire that needed to be looked at, and it was only one guy named Dustin and Amanda working at the time. He assured me that he would take care of me, and not to worry. I felt really bad because I know he has other cars to work on, but he took great care of me. I would highly recommend this place for all of your repair needs

This is the only place I will take my vehicles. I ve been going here for years and every time has been nothing but honest and excellent service. Dustin is one hell of a guy. I brought my vehicle in thinking I should get my brakes and rotors changed since it has been awhile. Come to find out I did not need that work done. I ve been trying to be more proactive and take good care of my car. Monroe could have taken advantage of me and I would have never known or even questioned it. This is not the first time either. What more could you ask for? Everyone I have ever interacted with at this location has been great. Absolutely recommend. You won t regret it!

TL;DR This place is great. 5/5, would recommend. My family and I live in Missouri, and have been vacationing in Indy for the past few days. Our brakes started to fail on Saturday, but another mechanic said that he didn't have time to fix it, and that we'd probably be okay to limp home.We are on a pretty tight timeline, so we tried that this morning. But as we started to drive down 465 the check-engine light came on and the car started to shake. That was the final straw. We knew we couldn't drive any farther. We took the first exit and ended up at Monro. That's where we met Dustin. He was concerned with my family's safety, didn't try to upsell me on services I didn't need, and got us back on the road within a couple hours. Now our engine works and our brakes work. What more can you ask for? I'd definitely return if I lived in Indy.

If you value your life, money, or overall wellbeing don't even consider visiting this location. If you are reading all the nice reviews for Amanda & Dustin, Amanda no longer works here and Dustin probably doesn't either.I'll keep the story as short as I can, but overall this 96th St location is cursed and using it was the worst financial decision of my life.I had the misfortune of working with Amanda on her very last day at this location, she was helpful and professional until she made me pay a day early for my car (corporate policy allegedly). I was supposed to pick up my car after 4:00 on Friday (her last day), but she closed up at 4:00pm and we drove there to an empty office. Called the Customer line to let them know. They reached out to Anthony, the new manager, who offered to drive from his house to let us pick the car up. I told him no worries we can return tomorrow. Thank you Anthony for at least offering to help that day.Picked up my car the next morning (Saturday), almost forgot to ask Anthony for a receipt before I turned around and requested one (why doesn't Anthony know to give a receipt with a customers keys). He printed one page of a spreadsheet with my price and scope of work on it, likely the technicians copy, not a real receipt but I at least I had some proof.Leave Monro only to realize there's a HUGE knock in my steering. I assumed it was possibly settling in the shocks/struts (I was in denial because I was tired of working with this location and getting ghosted in every way) and ignored it for the drive home to see if it would normalize. Sunday morning I take the car on a quick drive to see if the knock is still present, it is.Call the 96th St location, voicemail. Call again, voicemail. After Amanda closed early on her last day, Anthony or whoever decided they didn't want to open on a Sunday I guess.Quickly look up a different location (Keystone) to see if they can help, at this point we are sick of dealing with Monro so we were kinda frustrated. The AWESOME employees at the Keystone location fixed whatever mistake the 96th St guys caused the knocking (after new shocks/struts/brakes/rotors for $3,300 you'd hope things are safe). Also they confirmed I wasn't even given a real receipt for the work done.Head home and relax with a working vehicle thanks to the Keystone guys and find out the 96th Location didn't even reattach the plastic wheel-well liners on the rear sides of my car. Do they just have a junk pile of missing parts they never reattached to customers cars inside the 96th location? Now about a month later, my car just popped up with abs/vsc/e-brake "complete brake malfunction" warning lights. It's either something minor unrelated to Monro, or completely their fault, who knows.Tried to call the customer service line again, to reach a district manager for help. They "submitted a request" for "Jackie" the "district manager" to contact me Friday morning. Waited all of Friday and never got a call.I brought my car over to Belle Tire to get scanned/checked for the brake malfunction.Even if my current issue wasn't caused by Monro, I have had zero closure or help with my issues from the beginning because this company is so poorly managed.A customer service agent is gonna respond to this review,"We are so sorry about your experience, please call 800-BAD-LUCK to submit a request with our dictator".Customer service agent, I have tried desperately for weeks to contact the dictator, please let they/him/her know I just want to speak with Jackie. Or contact whoever is above Jackie for me please, is she even real? What does Jackie do? What district is she managing?According to a recent google review, there's another store manager named Bryan who I've never spoken to. Bryan, if you're reading this, I just want to know someone at this company cares.I'm counting my $3,300 and headache as a loss and life lesson at this point.

Absolutely delighted with my experience. I had a very rough-sounding exhaust and took it in for an assessment expecting the worst. Dustin replaced a bolt and gasket which completely solved the problem. Then he refused to accept any payment. He could have scammed me with unnecessary repairs but did not. Good people!

Amanda and Dustin at Monro are truly amazing! I found myself stuck out in the cold with a flat tire and no way to fix it. Thankfully I called Monro right before closing and they were able to fix my tire the same night for free! If anyone needs any services go to the amazing people at Monro!! I will definitely be taking all my future business to Monro!!

Walked into Monro with no cars in the shop. They told me there was a two week waiting list then come to find out the two people that I came back to see Amanda and Dustin don t work there anymore. I found out they are at the brand new Big O Tires in Fishers. I would recommend going in to see these guys! It s the only people I will & would ever follow.
