Didn't find anything out about my transmission problem. Was told to take to dealership but the good thing was not charged a fee at all.

OIL CHANGE COUPONS NOT HONORED BY McKinney Services 4451 Lafayette Blvd.McKinney's aka NAPA AUTOCARE is rejecting customers who pay for oil changes with courtesy coupons from RIGHTWAY.My husband normally takes my car to get it serviced at McKinney but he was not able to do it so I went to have the scheduled oil change.I gave the lady my car keys and the coupon, only to be told 5mins later that I needed an additional coupon. So I called husband to bring another coupon and he tells me he provided only one coupon before.I then explained to her my husband is on his way with the coupon. She so rudely said she will not service the car without it.Surprised as to why this lady could be so mean and unreasonable to not service the car until to coupon arrives.I told her it was a simple mistake and most females(such as myself) know little about cars and it would go a long way if they provided this information in their policy or at least have it posted in the lobby.She took this suggestion as an insult, then blamed it on RightWay, stating,"You should call them about it!" And worse, she then told me she don't feel comfortable servicing the vehicle and gave my keys back...Unreal!!I called RightWay after this rude gesture trying to sort this out. I was told by RIGHT WAY, that they don't have to service my vehicle. What!!! I was totally disturbed by this whole experience..why provide a courtesy that can't be provided .Please note, McKinneys is known for providing substandard service to customers who provide these coupons as payment of services.I will be contacting the BBB to file complaints on both companies for not providing a service through mutual agreement. This is common practice trust me...but I can always report unsatisfactory. P.S. Please beware of the passive aggressive lady shown in the pic below. She likes to flaunt her $10hr authority and mistreat customers.

Called and scheduled an appointment for someone to look at my transmission. Lady on the phone was very nice. Showed up at the scheduled time for my appointment and they were closed. They had my number so I m not sure why they wouldn t call me and let me know before I wasted gas driving all the way over here. Disappointed to have my time wasted. They came with a good recommendation.

Straight crooks they stole A jacket out my vehicle they don t fix anything, and I believe some of them are on drugs. Do not trust the shop you ll regret it.

Watch out they will rip you off . I had car towed and they said $80 . Charged us $100 . After getting a diagnosis of what was wrong we decided price was too much , and they charged us $100 more for giving us the estimate of what the problem was. Never said we would be charged . Plus it took 3 days for them to tell us the problem.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Probs to the staff here for being honest, friendly, and efficient with me. When I put in this review they were at 3.8 stars and I m kinda shocked how low they are. I don t feel like they are ripping me off and they take the time to inspect my car. I just wanted to say thanks to all the staff and I do appreciate your work.

Wouldn't recommend. Poor communication and wouldnt get back with you unless you followed up with them. Took nearly 7 weeks to do minimal work. And when I left they said the car was safe to drive (two months removed from major auto accident). Turns out the car problems I originally brought it in for are still happening and took a second mechanic 5 minutes to identify and 1 day to fix. Trusted them to keep me safe on the road and fix the car. They didn't do either.

I took my car to McKinney Transmission off of Lafayette Rd. They quoted me $531 to replace my PCV system & to install an oil gauge. I took it to Dearry Repair & they charged me $236 to repair both parts. Do not take your vehicle they are SCAMMERS!!!!

100% recommended. I got my warranty cover along my whole suspension fixed, new transmission and others. It took almost a month to fix everything. Shoutout to Rachel and others as well for hooking me up when something is terribly wrong with my car.

My son had many things fixed on his new used car here. They were very good priced and honest. They had his car for 3 days, as there was a lot needed done, but was only about $500 for all that work, a very long list. But now, he can rest easy knowing everything is fixed and his car runs smoothly now. He commutes to college campus, so this Mom can rest easy too, knowing his good-priced car runs perfect now! Thanks! Oh, and I'll be making an appointment soon to get my driver window worked on with them. Love that they can do any and ALL car/truck repairs!!

Replaced my tires and changed my oil. I don t know anything about cars so I can t guess how long it normally takes but we were there a while.The people who work here are super friendly but some of the conversations weren t terribly family friendly and our six year old was with us.Bathrooms are functional.It s an auto service place, so I guess there isn t much demand for customer comfort but as I said everyone was nice and my car got what it needed.

All I have to say, and the only info anyone should need to decide not to go here, is that they had my truck for just under a month, charged me $800+, and guess what!My truck was doing the exact same thing that it was when I took it there! Imagine that.Oh, did I mention I had basically no correspondence with the company once they took my truck?So here I am - stranded in the middle of butt-f*ck nowhere and $800 short.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Told them what I needed, they quoted me a price, and they did exactly what I asked for and the price was exactly the same as the quote. Not many times do you take your car in for one thing and end up only getting that one thing done, usually places always come up with other "stuff" that needs to be done. Was very happy with the service I received and the customer service was outstanding. Would recommend McKinney to anyone who is looking for a transmission place. - Kyle Estep

I feel like I got robbed.I was having issues with my transmission and decided to take it to McKinney because they specialize in transmission repair and I ve always had good service with locally owned businesses.However, I was incorrect. I paid the $100 inspection fee just to be told they don t know what the problem was. I was placed on hold for 16 minutes waiting to talk to Dean, the front desk man. Finally Dean picked up the phone and told me to take it somewhere else to get the repair. I asked Dean for my $100 back as his inspection was a waste of time and money, and he told me no.I wasted $100 and both my days off dealing with McKinney. I will not return.

I went here around April 2018 for a replacement transmission. They provided great customer service with fair pricing. Shortly after I recommended their service to my mother. She got her brakes done. I guess we found our new mechanic!

When I first went to this auto repair shop they did a great job. They did an oil change and replaced a sensor on my car. Later on my mom's car needed an alignment and they did great as well. Now since they had done a great job with the previous cars. We took my dads car. They couldn't figure out why it was turning off they tried different things that might be wrong but in the end they said it was the timing belt. So they told me how much it would be to replace it but that it was on its last leg even if were to replace it. That we could junk it. So i told them to put back how it was and we would tow it since it wasn't running. Now they gave us back the car INCOMPLETE AND WITH PARTS MISSING! How is a business going to return a car to the owner incomplete. My found out because he open the hood and saw how they left the motor. When he returned to ask them for the parts they didn't know where they were and that they "kept them since we were going to junk the car". My dad was able to get the parts that were missing but he's still missing some of the bolts. Save your money and go to a Auto Dealer repair shop. It might be more expensive but at least they'll return your car the way you took it, Complete!

I had called many back yard mechanics for my ford expedition before coming here and all were quoting me outrageous prices to fix my stripped drain plug. For two years I been getting evac service done to suction out oil to replace. With covid it was turning out to be an all day wait.They were able to fix the problem with another plug and do the oil change needed quicky and professionally. Now I been here before with an issue and after working on if for an hour they returned me the vehicle free of charge because they could not undo a piece installed by another mechanic. So when they brought my car around I was expecting to open a charge account to do payments. But to my surprise it was well under what I had expected. So far they're 2 for 2 in my bookService: Oil change

I went to this place for the first time for a diagnostics on my transmission that has been giving me issues. Mike checked me in and told me the diag would be complete by the end of the day. When I went back for my car all he could tell me was there were leaks everywhere. He didn't have any paperwork describing where these leaks were or the cost to have them repaired which is what I thought was the point of the diagnostics. After I complained that I basically paid $70 bucks (which was the charge) for him to top off my transmission fluid, he pulled the car back in to tell me exactly where the leaks were. It took him all of 10 mins. He came back to tell me he was short staffed and had nobody to work the counter so give him a couple days and he would have a written estimate for me. I called two days later and he still did not have my estimate written up but he would get it written and email me the results. I received no email so I called back the following day, he then said he didnt get a chance to send it but give him a lil while and he would get it to me. I finally received the estimate but now I will go somewhere else to get a second opinion because I'm not at all confident that the estimate was accurate. Mike, seemed like a nice guy but I thought business practice was very unprofessional on this day anyway. I rarely post negative reviews but I thought this encounter was really strange. I feel like I gave away $70. Needless to say, I will not be returning!

Took vehicle in for fan issue in transmission was told was computer issue and paid 1132.49 on Sat and on Mon had same issue. Was told to bring vehicle back and took 2 months to diagnose and want another $1100 and when i stated 1st issue not resolved and being told another computer issue David wanted me to come get truck off lot if I was not getting repaired. Went to get truck, truck was where they keep their vehicles and worker had to put the control module back in truck while we wait. Drove truck off lot and every light lit up on dashboard, took truck back and David relayed the message of that is part of computer problem. Never had an issue with truck running just wanted to be proactive not to overheat transmission with fan. A week later truck no longer started when we never had an issue with it starting or running.

I made an appointment to change the brakes on my truck. I was the first one to get there and they immediately took my car back so I thought that it would be a quick process. It took 4 hours just to put on brakes. I was told that the parts was already there and I didn't understand why it took so long. I periodically went in the garage where my car was and the guy was just standing there not doing anything. I asked the man at the front desk if he could tell me if my battery was ok. Instead of him telling me it was a fee he supposedly checked my starter, alternator, and battery just to justify a charge that I didn't even ask him to do. All I wanted to know was if my battery was good or not and he charged me $50 to do so when auto zone and battery plus checks batteries for free. I will not be back to let them work on my car again. I don't understand how they can charge you for something you didn't ask for and they should have let me know that it would be a fee before it was supposedly done

My car was there from May 9th to May 31st.The woman was very rude when I called to check on my vehicle or inquire when they were gonna start.I got my car back on June 1st and been having problem every since.I swore I wouldn't take it back there so I been just dealing with the shaking and idling high.I finally took it to Bill Estes chevy and now I need a timing chain.They were last to work on my car and had to remove it to get to oil pump.This makes no sense and I am so upset about this mess.Yes,I have a warrenty but if they dnt have mechanics who are properly trained they shouldn't be working on ppl cars at all.Services: Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

I took my car in on July 9th and by July 20th nothing had been done except the initial diagnostic test everytime I called to check they always said they would call me back never did then I made 2 trips up there and on the second trip the manager Shawna acted like she was annoyed then she lied and said my car would be ready the next morning only to talk to the mechanic to find out it was not ready because he hadn't got to it I went and took my car back the next morning and they tried to act like they were shocked that I was taking my car never again

Soooo, I have been getting my truck and other cars serviced here for some time now (2018 -present)and I have not been disappointed, lied, to or left in the dark on how much things cost. McKinney's has always been upfront and honest about things wrong with my cars/truck. Recently had lifter work done and alternator put on my truck and Sheera (my truck) is running so good and rides so smooth, she has a hemi so her take off is . Took some time which was ok as they do have a home life and cannot work around the clock on our cars. McKinney's staff and mechanics are and has been the most professional.. S/O to mark for being great at what he does and getting my truck together. I highly recommend, to get car services here. This is absolutely the worst company to deal with a bunch of clueless rejects calling themselves mechanics if you want to get the job done right don t go to McKinney s they will do a mediocre job actually they will do a job incorrectly then when you say there is a problem say you don t know anything (Shauna) lives in the parking lot in the back and clearly doesn t take care of her Hygiene and that s who they decide to put in the front of the store. New owner is absolutely clueless I feel as if the previous owner sold the company to get away from all of the lousy employees.Service: Engine repair

They did there best to help us we had lost of trouble with our Warranty company, which unfortunately made this a bad experience hopefully things will be better next time.Hopefully there get some more help it's hard with a small staff of people with lots of work to be done.
