Called for a quote on a loose ground I couldn't find that was keeping my crusty old truck from running, got a call back and Ed was able to tell me where to look over the phone and now I'm driving it home. Haven't even actually been in for any service and I can tell they're insanely knowledgeable and honest. I will come here for all of my future needs

Been going to Matthew s for 5+ years. Always thorough repairs at a fair price. Service is quick. Top notch customer service. I ve had no reason to look for another shop. Very happy with every service I ve gone in for.

I will never take my vehicle here again. The communication was poor . The service was horrendous. Vehicle speedometer worked prior to going in for service. when I drive it home, It doesn t work. I called them and told them they said they had nothing to do with it and wanted to charge me to fix it. Are you kidding me? Please think twice before you take your vehicle here!

There are so many good reviews I can only believe I must be an outlier in my experiences here...Spent nearly a grand replacing oil filter housing on vehicle. Returned a second time because issue was not solved. Later got a call asking me to pick up my vehicle saying they could not identify a problem and therefore could not fix it.Scheduled appt with dealer who told me there was actually a second oil leak and they were surprised it was not detected by Matthews. They then replaced oil pump to fix issue and stop leak.They may be a great shop but I think it only fair to consumers to share my experience. Not angry but I think more could have been done to 'make it right'.

This review is long overdue. Its difficult to find a trustworthy auto shop, but the team at Matthews has earned my trust 10x over. I've taken multiple vehicles here over the span of many years. Even after moving farther away, I still make the 30+ minute drive to Matthews for auto service. Doesn't matter if the vehicle is foreign or domestic, I trust the team at Matthews to properly diagnose the issue and perform the necessary repairs in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. I'd give these guys 10 stars if I could! Trust the team at Matthews and you won't be disappointed!

We absolutely love this place! Honest, dependable, and thorough. High regard for integrity and honesty.... not found in many mechanics places these days. If you want it done right, at an honest price, skip the others and go here!

I you need a local, honest mechanic. Then go see Brad, Dan, Lance & Katie at Matthews Auto Repair at 106th and College in Carmel. Family-owned Auto Repair Shop since the early 80's. I worked with Brad in High School and College. They will not try to sell you things that you don't need. They are old school and honest. They will get you the best price and deal to fix your car. I have found a new repair shop, no more than I need repairs. I had the best, most honest experience ever at Matthews Auto Repair. A friend had recommended them previously, but I just always went to the dealer. Today, I used them for the first time and couldn't be happier. They were honest, fair, and professionally priced. I don't feel like they overcharged me, nor do I feel like the undercharged themselves, hence professionally priced. They didn't try to push me into unnecessary repairs and I felt like my safety in my car was a priority. I have never felt so comfortable or confident after an automobile repair.You have gained a new customer. Though I hope to not need you soon, but when I do, you are my new mechanic.

Good, honest, helpful, accommodating, reasonable people. I have just had such a great experience here every time I've gone. I will not go anywhere else. I made the switch a couple of years ago when I got into a fender bender and they had the lowest quote for the repair and have not looked back since. It can be overwhelming going alone for car repairs when it is not my area of expertise but I know I am always in good hands here and they always do great work. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I had a part that failed and they made it right, no questions asked. These guys stand behind their work and seem to understand customer loyalty starts with honesty that builds trust. If you are sick of being a number at chain auto shops and want to find a mom & pop that actually cares about their customer's, then give these folks a try. They have a genuine interest in trying to safely keep your vehicle road worthy even when you are on a buget. My mechanic is always easy to talk to, has a positive attitude, and has an organically driven customer service mentality... Does yours?Services: Brakes, Oil change

We have worked with Brad at Matthew s Auto repair for decades. He is always fair, on-time, and honest. He has done maintenance, minor repairs, major repairs, and minor painting for us, on several vehicles and he is always reasonably priced. Once when we needed to take the vehicle to the dealer, he admitted it right away so there was no delay. Great shop, great guy!

My wife recommended I take my car in for a repair here, because she was recommended to take here car here. They are friendly, honest, and hands doen have the most fair prices I have been charged for service.I get a good vibe from the mechanics and owners of this repair shop. Their hearts are in the right place and they really want to help by providing the best service and simplest solutions.I had a simple window repair that I went to two other establishment's before landing on Matthew's. From now on I will go here when I can for auto work.

I would highly recommend Matthews Auto Repair! They were able to fix my car quickly and for such a great price. Lance was SO friendly and easy to talk with. He was informative and even called me with updates. When I picked up my vehicle the woman (I didn't catch her name) at the front desk was again so friendly! I couldn't be more pleased. I called in for a quote on a complete fluid flush and spark plugs. They quoted me at a reasonable price and the total came in under the initial quote. They were prompt and provided good customer service in answering my questions. I would come back again and recommend others should too.

My wife and I have taken our vehicles here multiple times in the last 2 years and have no complaints whatsoever. They are fast at turning repairs around, they are upfront about cost and time, they give honest advice about major issues that may not be worth repairing, and they have always taken the time and effort to answer any and all of my questions and concerns. I would trust this shop with any vehicle at any time.

Can t say enough about these guys! I found this place thanks to a recommendation from a friend. They were able to fix all of the issues the dealer couldn t/wouldn t. Honest, fair pricing, and attentive to needs.

They do good work and have fair prices. Only trouble is because they're so good, the line can be long to get in. Not a bad problem for a mechanic, imo.

I was visiting from out of town and somehow the splash guard underneath the front bumper was damaged during transit. They took me right in, took care of the problem and charged me a very reasonable price.

Only shop I go to! Cheap, fast, reliable.They don t trick you with statements like Your air filter is dirty to get money out of you. Instead they commonly say If it was me, I d wait to fix it.

Contacted the repair shop twice for a proposal on a new or rebuilt transmission. Spoke with Lance and then Brad. They never called back or provided a quote.

They were great! Not pushy and did not force me to get unnecessary repairs immediately. They told me exactly what needed to be repaired and when to do it. Highly recommend!!
