I was traveling in from Knoxville Tn to watch my daughter play in a volleyball tournament. I recently divorced and this was my first weekend with my daughter. Well, as I was preparing to drive to the Convention center I lowered my driver side window and the modulator broke. I called Audi in Indianapolis and they heard my issue. Audi told me to bring the car to them and they would fix it. I told them that I would only be here until Sunday afternoon. When I got there at Audi, I knew what my problem and told the service department. I gave them my car and waited for 2 hours. After 2 hours, they informed me that yes you were right it was the regulator for the power window. They then told me that they could order it and it would be 3-5 business days. I wasted 2 hours of my life dealing with them and missed my daughters first volleyball game. I then googled a local car shop near me and I called 7 places and none could help me. Then Hortons Garage answered the call and told me to come on. I get there and he fixes my window problem in less than 30 minutes and allowed me to see my daughters 2nd and 3rd game. He was very professional and a family man. I would recommend him for any car issues! Horton Garage was a life saver!

I went for a check engine light issue and left with a car that ran better than it had in a long while. They are honest and upfront about your issue and the price was more reasonable than what I expected it to be. I can t say that I have ever had a more pleasant experience at the mechanic's. Ladies don t worry about being talked down to or intimidated at all. You won t find a nicer person in the neighborhood.

Hands down 5 stars! I was referred to Horton's by a gentleman at Firestone because they were unsure what exactly the issue was with my car speakers. I called Horton's and arranged to drop my car off, when I arrived and spoke to James about my issue he stopped what he was doing to explain the scenario he believed it to be extremely well (especially because I understand very little about cars in general). He even proceeded to show me with clear instruction how I would be able to resolve the issue with my radio on my own.My partner was with me and we both left in awe of the kindness, enthusiasm, and very clear passion James has for his work. We both will be reaching out to Horton's Garage Indy for our future car servicing needs (Ford Focus and BMW)!Please support this wonderful local business!

I came across Horton's at first as a last resort after high fees from Midas. I wish he was my first resort, it would've saved me a lot of time and money. He's straight forward and takes time to explain what the real problem is and how it could've occurred, etc. Long story short he gives great customer service, like if you were being taken care of by a parent, I've found someone I can trust.

I have had quite a few car troubles lately and James has come to the rescue every single time! From prior experiences elsewhere, sometimes it s easy to feel you are being taken advantage of when it comes to work on your car (especially as a woman), but James has always been extremely honest and transparent from start to finish which gave me peace of mind each time I left my car with him. He has always been able to take in & fix whatever issue my car is having on a really quick timeline which is also extremely appreciated. James is the most honest and ethical mechanic I have ever known. I took my newly purchased 2020 Kia to him due to over heating. Keep in mind I haven't had it a month yet. He gets to checking it out find the problem. Ok let's get it fixed. He's like no I should not have this problem on a certified vehicle this soon. He goes into detective mode. Finds out it was on a recall for the engine . It has a replaced engine and wrong clamps were used to put it all back together. Causing my overheating. He called the dealer let them know what was wrong and he has pic and vide of it all.Next thing I know they are calling him back letting him know they will pick it up and fix it for me for free. if this was any other mechanic they would of fixed it and charged me. Thank you Mr.James for going above and beyond to help me. You now have a client for life. I you want a honest mechanic and friendly one Hortons is it.

On our way back home to Delaware from Chicago, our cars battery light started flickering. Went to AutoZone and discovered it was the alternator. We found Hortons on Google and had to just hope that we found a good mechanic. Well boy did we ever find a good mechanic. James is a really nice guy and was able to get our car in before closing. He said he hoped he could get the work done by 11 or 12 the next day. Well we got a text at 9:30 saying the car was ready. We really could not have been happier with his work, kindness and customer service. You know if you're showing up to a mechanic with basically a blank check and they give you fast, fair and quality service. You've found a good one. We could not recommend this place higher. We only wish he was in Delaware!! Thank you James!

Broke down and had to use roadside through my insurance, who dispatched Horton s to my vehicle. I had my 9 month old in the vehicle with me and after speaking with Horton s dispatcher to confirm they were on the way and that I could leave my vehicle there for them, the 90 minute ETA turned to 2 hours, so I called multiple times with absolutely no response. Ended up making other arrangements and getting the vehicle home but received a call almost 5 hours later saying the driver had driven around looking for a Buick and didn t see it anywhere so they left without reaching out at all. I do not drive a Buick. Steve was the one who called and to his credit, he said he was out of the office and that he had returned to find a note from the driver stating the above. He was the only pleasant part of the experience. It s a good thing I was able to get a ride for myself and my kid because the problem was a snapped belt and I would have lost heat within about 30 minutes of sitting there in the freezing cold.Edit: if this is the wrong business I apologize, though I looked up Horton s on Facebook prior to making this review and the fb page for Horton s garage Indy LLC has a website listed for Horton s towing and recovery so I was pretty certain this was the correct business.

Very pleasant and knowledgeable guy. I'm new to cars and car ownership, so I'm glad to have found a mechanic that can help educate me about the ins and outs of my vehicle. James polished my headlight covers and walked me through, in very clear terms, an issue with my muffler. I went to Horton's Garage to get a second opinion after taking my car to a Nissan dealership and James was much more transparent about the issues with my car. I sincerely appreciate his help!

James didn t waste any time fixing my brakes, did the job very well, and was even flexible about paying him to avoid card fees. His pricing and time estimates were both accurate with punctual and professional follow-through. Very knowledgeable and fair. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a terrific mechanic who won t try to build up a long list of issues with your car that don t actually need fixed just to hike up your bill. There s none of that with James. Nothing but trustworthy results. I m happy to give him my business again and send anyone his way who needs the same exceptional service that I received.

Had a issue going on with my car it was sputtering, and eventually not going over 25 miles. I took it to CarX, a Ford dealership, and finally Edwards Transmissions. Took Edwards 5 days to put on a "scanner" the guy gave me a list of codes he said popped up. Basically told me I needed a new transmission. I said in the 6 years I've had it I've never put fluid in, could he try that first. No, I need a new transmission. Mr. Franklin was referred by my coworker. I called and gave him the spill on what I was told, we set up a date for service. Mr Franklin can also tow if your car isn't drivable which is a plus. After taking this car to 3 other places all it needed was transmission fluid! I was looking for a whole new car..Mr Franklin is by far the most reliable, professional, and knowledgeable mechanic I've encountered. May look like a regular house until you step into the office. Excellent customer service, I highly recommend Hortons Garage (Mr. Franklin) he is accountable, fair priced, and his work comes with a WARRANTY you can't beat that. Great service and customer service. Quote was reasonable and matched what most others quoted me. Didn t take long and my car has been driving smooth since. James has been such a great help for me, he goes above and beyond each time I take my car there to get it fixed. He fixed my catalytic converter, repaired an oil leak, and replaced my cv axle. Each time I go there he goes over each detail and is upfront and honest about his work! He gets the job done super quickly too :) I enjoy conversing with him each time I see him. I trust him with all my car needs!!

I was having trouble with my braking system/rooters two days after getting my brakes and rotors repaired. I was tired of returning to the same location just for them to have NOT fixed the problem. I called this shop hoping someone could help, Jame got me in the next day. He fixed the problem within minutes. James was very professional and knowledgeable. Contacted Horton's Garage Indy on Monday and made an appt.I told James (the mechanic) that it was the only car I have.James said he had several other appts ahead of me, but I could drop it off and he would get to it ASAP.I was notified on Tuesday morning that he had completed the inspection and informed me of the repairs that was needed along with an estimate of the costs.I approved the work and before close of business, the SAME day, I was once again notified and informed my car repairs had been completed and I could pick it up.Apparently, there had been a delay in getting parts for a vehicle ahead of me, so he was able to get parts and repair my car in the mean time.When I arrived to pick up my car, James showed me all the old parts that he had removed from my car and the defects in those parts.He also informed me of a few other issues, that didn't realize I had, that need to be repaired soon.I didn't expect to get my car back for at least a week, but I was only without it for two days.Great service, quick service, my car is safe to drive again, AND the parts he installed have a three year warranty.I'll be referring anyone who needs auto repairs to Horton's Garage Indy.LeiAsia M.

We have two vintage Mercedes and it s been hard to find a guy that will generally help, care about the car and come up with affordable solutions! Location and scheduling are convenient! James has helped me though a couple of tricky repairs and they have worked wonderfully! Highly recommended, we will continue coming back! If it can be helped, James will be the only person to touch my car for the foreseeable future. I went to him with an issue with the blower motor resistor for my Veloster's AC/Heat system, and he not only fixed the issue in a timely manner, but also made sure I fully understood what was going on with my car, and explained everything in a non-condescending manner (which can be hard to find as a woman dealing with such a male-dominated industry). Since the issue with my car was a known issue that hasn't been involved in a recall yet, he even sent me home with the faulty parts and a printed diagram for me to take to Hyundai and see if I'd be able to recoup some of my losses.James has been nothing but kind and helpful to me and my friends who have gone to him with their cars. He's got a customer for life in me.

I have received above-and-beyond service and high-quality work both times I've had to have something fixed in order to keep my vehicle functioning. The best recommendation so far. He explains your vehicle s problem in a way that anyone can understand. An auto shop told me I needed a a/c compressor $$$$. James checked my truck out and that was not the case. $$. I now have cold air and a new mechanic. He treats you like family. And treats your vehicle like it s his.
