I was given a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently ... it is in great condition but it did have some issues. I brought it here to the Firestone store in Nora. James, the manager at this location, and Aric, the Master Mechanic, were great to work with and did a very good job on my vehicle. I am a woman who doesn't know much about cars and both were respectful, kind and patient - explaining everything to me. Work was done on the brakes, new tires/tie rods and an alignment. I am here today for an oil change. As I sit and wait for my vehicle in the lounge, I am watching James treat every person that comes through the door with respect, kindness and a genuinely caring attitude. Believe me, that goes a long way in today's world. I would highly recommend this place - so very thankful that there are still people like him and his staff who want to do the very best for each and every customer!

I kept being told my car was almost ready. I found out later that the work had not even started. I called multiple times and finally walked into their store. I was then given another excuse about why the work had not started. After that the manager/sales person tried to sell me things I know for sure I did not need based on the services I had previously purchased. Basically, I have lost a lot of trust in this location and do not plan to return at this point.

I came in today to get new tires put on my son's car and this was my first time ever going to Firestone. They were short staffed so my wait time was a little longer but the whole staff was amazing and the manager James(i believe) took great care of me! I will most definitely return in the future!!

Store Manager James went above and beyond to help me get both my headlights to work. Need was urgent to have working headlights! Told him that JL refused to do it, and James took the time himself to install for me on the spot, so I didn't have to return on Sunday when the techs are back from vaca. He also helped me save 30 bucks by appying for store cc. Glad James replaced former mgr. I live within walking distance and don't have to go to the Castleton Firestone anymore!

I came in to get my alignment done and left with it worse than when I arrived. So I brought my car back for them to fix it and it's still off. Now my car pulls to the right when I brake. Not sure if there is new people who are not super familiar with double checking your work or test driving to make sure the issue is resolved, but I know I'm not the only one who drives my kids around so please do better. 2 stars instead of 1 because the customer service was very good.Service: Wheel alignment

I thought the maintenance service I was paying for at the local Volkswagen dealership included tire rotation, and it cost me when I realized it didn t, I quickly went to Firestone. They were so helpful in recommending some cool performance tires for my little race car, and happily put them on, even though I didn t purchase them from their store. I went back yesterday to have them rotated without an appointment. They got me right in, and the service tech, William, was super knowledgeable in explaining the overall condition of my tires and the rest of my car. Ten out of ten, I d use them again!Service: Tires

I agree with previous reviewers; a zero-star rating option would be appropriate for this vendor.They had my truck for a day and a half and did absolutely nothing to it. They lied about the service several times.Prior to having my tires delivered to them from Tire Rack I called to make sure they could lift my truck AND perform the alignment. They said they could. They lied. I dropped it off at noon on a Saturday and they told me it would be done by EOD. I called an hour before closing to get an update and they said it should still be done today. This was lie number 2. They called a half hour after scheduled closing and said they "didn't quite finish" and it would be ready tomorrow morning. The next morning, an hour and a half after opening, they called to say A. They couldn't lift the truck and B. their mechanics were intimidated by the quick-drain oil plug I had on my oil pan. Seriously! That's what they said. So when they said they hadn't "quite finished" the day before, what they really meant was they hadn't even started. And if their "mechanics" couldn't perform an oil change because they were intimidated by my drain plug they obviously shouldn't be working on vehicles. If they were willing to lie to me in this fashion, anyone else can, in my opinion, assume they are taking shortcuts with your service as well.As I was leaving, just to make the entire experience a bit more special, the employee giving me keys, who knows I've already been inconvenienced and aggravated, too the opportunity to add his own smart-a** comment. You are who your boss wants you to be and I now have a pretty clear understanding of what that is here. Obviously that type of behavior is acceptable.Services: Tires, Oil change

If I could give 0 stars, I would. One of my employees realized he was getting a flat tire. Pulled in to the Firestone lot and went in to get service. They told him that they did not have a jack that would lift his truck. It is a Dodge ProMaster 3500. It does have a box on the back, but weighs around 6000 lbs total. The manager stated that his jacks were rated for 9000 lbs, but were junk and wouldn't be safe. I had to call a mobile tire repair service to fix my tire in the Firestone parking lot. Costing me signifigantly more time and money.

Not once, but TWO different times when I came back to pick up my car it didn t start. And each time I came back they tried to get me to spend more money. Never going back here for anything. Terrible service from their mechanics to their manager.

My daughter had a Tire Pressure light come on in her Volkswagen, and her husband told her to get the tire checked out. We called tire stores around the area, and all said it would be awhile. The folks told us they could check it in 90 minutes. We went, and left the car while we shopped at Whole Foods, and Marshall's while waiting. They called an said they fixed the tire, which is feel is rare, as most of the time they want you to purchase a new tire. I would highly recommend this place, especially when it's tire related!Service: Tires

Overall the experience was okay at the Nora and 86th Street location. The $100 diagnostic could not locate exactly what the "emissions" issue was that caused the O2 sensor to trigger the check engine light to come on. As Firestone manager suggested I see if there was a warranty still, I called the dealer. No warranty. So, I decided the engine light needed to be fixed or I wouldn't know if another engine issue occurred. The needed part was $240+. Total bill $369.and some change. Politeness good. Generosity nil. What a wonderful surprise and better rating if some of the diagnostic charge had been deducted since the source of the emission issue was not determined.I got what was quoted but will rethink being a return customer.

I never post reviews but the service (or lack of) here was unreal. I dropped my wife s car because i couldn t get the check engine light to clear after fixing what I thought to be the issue and it had started to make an intermittent sound on the front drivers side while driving. They called me back the next morning to say they ran the code and couldn t do the work there and i would have to take it to a dealership. When i asked what the work it needed was, they told me they didn t know and they just heard the manager and technician talking and said they couldn t do it. So I paid for what? To run a code that Autozone does for free? I called back and said I needed more info as to what the repair needed was - they said they would call me back but didn t so I called back again. You shouldn t take people s money for doing literally nothing.

Extremely poor time management. After making an appointment, I still waited over 3hrs to get a diagnosis. I continued to watch technician after technician pull in cars that arrived well after I did as if my time wasn't as important. Not to mention I brought my vehicle back in for a service they initially performed. I would not recommend them and definitely understand why Firestone complete has an overall approval rating below average

Lied and stole from my wife. Cursed me out when I called to ask why they would blatantly attempt to steal from her. Would not put me through to speak to the manager. Do not do business here. I review frequently and seldom give bad reviews. This place deserves it. Do not do business here.

Been going to Firestone Nora off and on for 20 years. Store performance is 100% about good leadership. Myk is hands down the best leader this location has ever had. UPDATE: Myk is no longer leading this store location. Seems to change every couple years.

Incompetent. Took my vehicle at 9 am to get a tire air valve replacement and I was not called throughout the day and had to call in at least 3 times to check on the status of the repair finally on the 3rd call I was updated and was told it was being taken care of. Only to find out that the WRONG side was replaced and now I don t have a tire pressure monitoring part on that side. Now I have to wait another day, go to work, and hope my tire doesn t deflate due to the actual bad tire valve. I will not ever be coming to this Firestone again and honestly, may never go to any Firestone anymore. What a waste of time!

10 hours. It took over 10 hours to look at a flat tire. 8:30 I dropped my car off. The woman who checked me in seemed irritated. The 2 times I called (over the course of 6 hours) I spoke with a gentleman who kept saying "oh we are about to pull it in!" It wasn't until around 6:35 (they close at 7) they finally pulled my car in. My fiancee had to go and take care of the problem because he had a feeling something wasn't right. He was correct in his assumptions and called a family friend who works for Tires Plus since they are owned by same company as Firestone is. We discovered the biggest lie was they said they couldn't honor my tire warranty because the line of the tire was discontinued (my tires are less than a year old and I had another replaced not even a month ago from a pothole and the warranty was honored and given a new tire with the most compatible tire to the one I had). Anyways after leaving the shop I drove not even 6 blocks to have my tire come off practically. I was missing 2 lugnuts and 3 were ridiculously loose. I am so unimpressed and the customer service was awful minus the one technician who was kind was bringing the car out. I will not be returning to this location.

Even with an appointment, it took them two hours and fifteen minutes to install 2 tires, and then they tried to charge me nearly double the contracted fee.Update: After my original review, Nick from Firestone reached out to try to make amends. He arranged for a much more efficient installation of the other 2 tires that was more in line with the service you would hope to receive.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I would give 0 stars if I could. Brought my car in for 2 new tires at 1pm Thursday. Was told it would be done by 6pm that day. Didn t get a phone call at all so I had to call up there just to be told it ll be done Friday by 12pm!!!! I was given a specific time. So let it go and say okay. 11:30am Friday I m told that it ll be done today and they will call me back in an hour to give me a time for when it should be done. Never got a call. So at 3pm I call again then they tell me SATURDAY!!! Now I m very upset because the day of I was told it would be done that day (Thursday). So when I say what s taking so long like it s only 2 TIRES!!!! Needless to say I said forget it and had my car towed to another place. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I would drive 15 miles out of my way to get service done correctly. I called several times to make an appointment and was placed on hold with no one ever coming back to answer the phone.After I finally talked to someone and made my appointment for first thing in the morning, my car was not done 4.5 hours later even though I had told them I needed to pick it up at noon.This was for a simple oil change and tire rotation.They did find time to do the "courtesy check" that I didn't want or need, so that they could recommend several service items that were unnecessary.

I've had more than one poor experience with this store. I had them replace the rear tires on my old car as one tire had a hole from a nail that couldn't be patched up and kept deflating the tire. After they changed the tires I continued to have the same problem. I took it back only to find out they had put the new tires on the front rather than the rear. No one knew where the miscommunication happened and no one would take responsibility for it.I recently got a used car and took it in to replace all the tires and get a realignment. Fortunately they couldn't mess up the tires this time, but they could not properly align my car because there allegedly were parts that needed replacing. The car drove straight for maybe 2 days. Now I can't let go of the wheel for a second without it pulling to the left. Also after that realignment, the wheels began squeaking. So not only did I pay $80 for them to not fix the problem, they also made it worse in the process. I am so sick of the repetitive mistakes and it's comforting to know I'm not the only one who has experienced such poor service. Don't waste your time and money on these people.

I waited too long to replace my tires and I had to get towed in with a flat tire last Friday. I've worked in the automotive industry for a long time and Firestone has a good reputation in the among industry insiders. They did not disappoint. Nicholas and the team got me turned around fast with a great deal on the 4 new tires I needed. Thanks guys!

The only reason I am giving any stars is because they didn't end up charging me for their screw-up and the district manager called me to apologize.Do not use this Firestone location if you can avoid it. You'll experience poor communication, several service delays, staff that is not properly trained and a manager who doesn't know what customer SERVICE is. Brent, their store manager is very unprofessional and unaccomodating. Get your vehicle serviced somewhere else!Service: Oil change
