Mr Giuseppe Did a fantastic job servicing the timing chain on my 2014 Audi A4 with 110k Miles. They finished the entire service in 2 days and quoted a very fair price for the job done. I will be bringing my vehicles back here.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Finding a dependable, honest mechanic is one of the treasures in life. European and foreign motorworks has given me just that. I had the electric power steering go out in a Mercedes and my estimates were swaying a few thousand dollars. European and foreign motorworks were my choice after speaking with the owner Mr. Guiseppe and seeing their pristine shop. My repair was performed in a very timely manner and they communicated with me through the entire process. I have since taken my car to no one else and have been thrilled with the level of professionalism and communication at every visit. Mr Guiseppe and his wonderful staff of technicians and office take pride in giving the customer a wonderful experience. I can t thank them enough. Pleasure always.

Mr. Guisseppi worked with me and my Warranty Company to help fix my Mercedes-Benz. Car drives phenomenally and I enjoyed the extra mile they took to get it done. Thanks and will be back again!

I don't usually leave reviews for businesses, but these guys are so great that I owe it to them. Mr. Giuseppe fit me into a busy schedule with little notice, fixed everything wrong with my car (it was quite a bit), and was fully transparent with pricing and what to expect down the line. The final cost was less than half of what the dealership quoted me 8 months ago (I had been putting off repairs because I was expecting to pay a fortune - what a wonderful surprise). You can really tell how much care and consideration goes into the work here - from the little things, like the unexpected carpet vacuuming, to the diligence with which I was kept apprised of the repair timeline and cost. These guys are easily the best mechanics I've ever worked with, and I would drive 200 miles from Chicago to get my car serviced here. Thanks again, Mr. G!!

Mr Giuseppe was such a pleasure to do business with he is a very skilled mechanic he always checked with me after troubleshooting my BMW Z3 to let me know the cost. He did a great job. I never once regretted my choice and will always go back to him.If you want to schedule an appointment, I think he prefers e mail.

I highly recommend Mr. Giuseppe for any repairs or service you might need. He was honest and fair in his estimate and did and incredible job in a very complex disassembly and repair. I saved several hundreds of dollars over the dealership and he did a more thorough job of the secondary air system reconditioning on my Audi Q7.

After dealing with mercedes for almost 6 months and not getting anything done, I brought my vehicle to Mr. Giuseppe and it was the best thing I could have done. I've changed my opinion of European & Foreign Motor works since my first few visits. Guiseppe is a very experienced and knowledgeable mechanic. However, my last few visits have been very disappointing. During one visit, Guiseppe replaced the ignition switch on my wife's 2011 Mercedes ML350. When we picked the vehicle up, we noticed the radio and other displays were no longer working. After 2 more visits to EFMW and several hours, Guiseppe advised me to take it to the dealer. The MB dealer fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes and I asked for an explanation of the issue so I could share with Guiseppe. When I did share with him, he immediately became very defensive with me as if it were my fault. During another visit, Guisppe replaced several unnecessary parts for a total of $3500 to address my 2012 BMW 535i going in limp mode ("Drivetrain malfunction") after having the car idling for over an hour w/o driving. When I picked the vehicle up, another check engine light came on before I could get home in addition to the car going into limp mode a few weeks later after idling w/o driving. I took it to another repair shop who advised me of a bulletin and recall related to the high-pressure fuel pump when idling w/o driving. Unfortunately, my vehicle's mileage was outside of the recall range and the other repair shop advised me to NOT idle w/o driving for an extended period. They also reconnected a hose that was left unattached after Guiseppe's repair work, resulting in the new check engine light. Needless to say, the $3500 was a hard pill to swallow, but I gave Guiseppe the benefit of the doubt and went back to replace a CV axle on my BMW. The same axle had to be replaced less than 2 years and 20K miles later. When I asked Guiseppe why the same passenger-side axle would need to be replaced so soon, he became VERY defensive and replied "that's common with your model". I also had brake pads and rotors replaced in 2021 that needed to be replaced again in less than 14K miles. I can no longer afford to patronize EFMW.

The front desk lady was friendly and helpful. I took my car for an oil+air filters change, and I realized that they overcharged me $150 more that what Mercedes dealership charges. I took me several emails and calls to prepare quote from Dealership to show them that they overcharged me. After I showed them the quote from Mercedes (& made director of customer relationship at Mercedes call them directly to tell them they actually charges as shown in the quote) and after I told them I am going to dispute the overcharged amount, they refunded the overcharged difference. To me, a local shop should charge less than a dealership, but not some 20% more! I went through the pain to get the difference $, but I believe I am not the only customer who they charged like this (who has time to go through follow ups for some 3 weeks?)Also, I had other unpleasant experiences with this shop, & hence, certainly (wish them luck) but will not return to this shop for any repair or service.

I went for service on my 2013 Mercedes Benz. The front desk was very nice and the mechanic answered all of my concerns and very communicative with me through the process. I went for a tune up and a service for my breaks. Everyone was excellent and treated me well and the mechanics are great. Would definitely go again and recommend others.

They're honest and up front about the diagnosis with your car. The prices are reasonable and I've never felt like I've overpaid for a single visit. They're very understanding. I've recommended them to all of my friends and I'll never stop doing so! Giuseppe was great! He told me what I needed to do with my car and did not try to pressure me in anyway.

Can't speak highly enough about Giuseppe and his team. My 2015 Audi A5 with 88,000 miles was diagnosed by the Audi dealership as needing a new timing chain - a know issue with the A4 and A5 engines. Because this is such an expensive repair I decided to get several quotes. I also did a bit of research before getting quotes so I would know better if the shop I was visiting actually knew how to do this job.Several of the places I went, including the dealership, gave me outrageous estimates while also demonstrating that they were clearly not familiar with this repair. You see, this job requires the entire front end of the car to be taken apart, the timing chain cover, chain, and tensioners to be replaced and often also needs the timing chain bridge replaced - something I learned from watching YouTube that you won't know for sure until you get the cover off.Anyway, when I first spoke with Giuseppe about the repair he was immediately familiar with this job and told me, "I may have to also replace the timing chain bridge which would actually add a bit to the quote I'm going to give you". He went on to tell me that they do 8-10 of these repairs every year so I knew I was in good hands.Giuseppe spent time with me and even gave me a quick tour of the garage. They were able to schedule my repair within a week of when I brought it in and they quoted me a price that was 35% less than the dealership. The total cost out the door was within a few dollars of the original quote and the car is now ready to go another 80,000 miles. Also, while the car was being serviced they also replaced the hood piston support which had failed and would no longer keep the hood up.If you have a European car that needs work then do yourself a favor and visit European & Foreign Motor Works. Giuseppe is a professional car-guy who really knows his stuff and who will be honest with you at every turn. I will NEVER go back to the Audi dealership again and will now trust this shop with all my foreign car needs. My only regret is that they don't work on American cars as I would love to be able to also take our 2017 Chevy Tahoe there for Giuseppe to service and maintain.Service: Engine repair

Jose is a very kind, and understanding man. His knowledge regarding cars is impeccable. I have taken my Audi A4 to be serviced here numerous times and I've never had an issue. He is prompt and his prices are far below those other European mechanics who outrageously up charge the parts. If you need any service done on your vehicle, I would highly recommend visiting his Shop.

I had my 2012 Mini Cooper S towed there, as my car wouldn't start - AND I was out of town on a business trip. Giuseppe (the GM/ owner) was so nice! He followed up with me to keep me in the loop as to what was wrong. The issue was resolved. He is impeccable, honest, and my experience was extremely pleasant. Being from out of town, I had to take it on faith this was a good shop for my "baby". Expectations were exceeded, faith restored in good honest repair shop, such as European & Foreign Motor Works!

The front lady is very friendly. Went there for regular brake fluid change, end up telling me rear break pads lost and I need to pay extra $700 for replacing. My brake pads warning sign is green. Ridiculous! It s really a waste of time. p.s. I'm taking my valuable time to get my car maintained, but I'm very upset for wasting my time going there!

Went to see Giuseppe after buying a used Range Rover. The dealership seemed unable/uninterested in fixing some problems with the suspension and brakes. Giuseppe diagnosed the problems and had them fixed quickly and for a reasonable price. Great experience and will be returning for future maintenance!

This was my first visit to E&FMWI. I received a postcard in the mail months ago and held on to it. My 2015 M.B. C300 was in need of a battery. It was a Saturday and Mr. Giuseppe was pressed for time, but then called me back and said if I could get it in he would check it out for me.At first he wasn't sure if if was the battery, but after further checking, it was the battery. Throughout the entire process, Mr. Giuseppe let me know what step(s) were being taken and if it wasn't what he thought, he would have time to look at it in more detail. His price was excellent!I'm used to leaving repair shops with a hint of disbelief or doubt because I'm never sure if my car really needs what they say it does or they are just looking to meet a quota or make a sell. I always feel this way when I go to the M.B. dealership. Are they really just "adding to the bill or telling me I need something when I really don't?Mr. Giuseppe said he did not want his customers coming feeling on edge because the mechanic is going to replace things that really don't need replacing or leaving feeling uncertain, nervous or feeling like they were taken advantage of.He is an honest guy and I see why he has such high reviews! He'll let you know what you need and let you decide if you want the work done. He doesn't pressure you or make you feel dumb. He takes care of your car like it was his own. He has passion for what he does and cares about excellent customer service. He's an expert and a professional. You can trust him and his employees! He won my business and I'll be coming back with my other M.B. Thank you for having integrity sir!

The first time I went here was for a regular service for my Audi and liked that they didn't try to over sell me on anything. At this time my car was also showing an alert to change my brake pads. I got it checked at one of the franchise auto repair shops and they told me that all 4 brakes and rotors needed changed. As I was getting a service I asked if they would mind taking a look and provide me a quote. At the end of the service they gave me a full breakdown and told me that only the rear brakes needed changed as the front ones were changed less than a year back (by the previous owner), plus their quote was also a lot lower.Guisse, the owner is a genuinely nice and honest and you can tell that by just talking to him. I highly recommend this place if you drive a European car as I have been extremely satisfied and would never take my car anywhere else.
