Used to work there actually kinda started me off in my mechanic career .. the owner Kevin Clark is a pretty decent guy with fair pricing on repairs. And he has a great crew working there especially his manager ..he may look scary but the nicest person you'll ever meet. .

everyone at this shop is super friendly, explained everything without being condescending (considering i know nothing about cars!), and kept me in the loop with what was going on with my jeep. it only took 2 days to diagnose and fix my issue, too! now she runs like a dream. we ll be coming back here in the future.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Will never use Edwards transmissions againPaid 4200.00$ to have transmission rebuilt because that's what they said it needed took 2 weeks to get finished then once I got it back it was overheating and not shifting out of 1st gear so I took it back for warranty and they said that the pcm was bad and possibly the fuse panel they told me they had no problem rebuilding transmission again but those needed fixed first . But I wondered y this wasn't brought up before they took my money the first time .. any way I went ahead and got those issues repaired and took it back to them and now they tell me they can't find anything wrong with it . Also they tried telling me it probably needed a bigger transmission cooler but that was never a problem before they did work on it doesn't even have 1000 miles on rebuild. it was suppose to have a 12 month 12000 mile warranty but edwards transmission is not honoring there warranty . So I guess my next step is court .. don't let edwards transmissions take advantage of you.. save your money and go somewhere elseService: Transmission

Bad customer service, no calls to tell me vehicle completion date would be another day. Was said to be ready on a Saturday and no call until 3.5 hrs after they closed. Got my vehicle back dirty and with multiple issues, said they would drive it for 20 miles to ensure all was good, didn't even get 1000yds from the place and heard issues with it, no easy they test drove it,had to take it back next day and they had it for another 5 days. Runs better now but just worried something will break/fail due to lack of confidence in their work.

Don t ever use this company, they were replacing my radiator hose and broke 2 other lines, had my car for almost 5 days and then tried charging me for the parts they broke, I called the owner to ask them to take that off and the owner is just as unprofessional as everyone else at that place. He finally took it off my bill and then hung up on me. Don t ever take your vehicle to this place. Save yourself the time and money and take it to a reliable place that values their customers. Cause this place is a complete joke. I am beyond mad

Well they did fix my leaking axle seal on my 05 F-150. (Hopefully) After 2 and a half days, really should have been done the first day. But I guess they were afraid to mess with the pinion seal. Which is very obviously leaking. They told me to keep an eye on it and let them know if it's leaking then I can bring it back and they'll "see what they can do". No thanks. I can't take another 3 days off for a 1 day repair. Goodyear auto service wouldn't touch it. That's Why I went to Edwards. I thought they were drive train specialist. Guess I'll have to take it to the dealer. Surely they won't be afraid of it. Won't be going back to Edwards unless their repair goes bad.UPDATE: My Differential cover is leaking. What a waste of time and money.

Paid to get my engine diagnosed and took like 3 days just look at my engine. Look!My Light bar was stolen off my car and go pro camera.Light bar and camera was drilled onto the car so you would need tools to take off.I believe someone at the shop stole my property.Will not be coming here anymore.Deciding if I want to file a lawsuitSouthport locationDO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!You will regret it.

Absolutely horrible experience!� I called a head to ask if the situation that was going on with my Jeep was something Edward's could handle. They towed my Jeep in for analysis with the�tow + analysis ($109) pkg deal. It's been nearly 3 weeks and they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle and why it wouldn't start.After the first couple days I knew I was more of an inconvenience because they couldn't figure things out, so my Jeep became less and less of a priority�to them.� I always had to contact them as calling me was not something they could remember doing. I don't know how many times I was told "we're going to try ___ tomorrow and we'll give you a call tomorrow to let you know what we figure out". Nothing...they we're either too busy to do the task or they never called back.� After nearly 3 weeks of fiddle farting around,�nothing was solved and I'd be surprised if my vehicle was ever even taking inside the shop and lifted up to see if anything was going on underneath. They literally just let it sit outside by the road and did a little bit here and there, little as in "we cleaned a couple coils today, nothing yet, we'll try again tomorrow with the others." If you're too busy to handle a job like this or too uneducated in automotive repair to handle the "basic checks" on a 2006 Jeep Cherokee without having a diagnostic reader telling you exactly what needs fixed, maybe you should get out of the car repair business. 3 weeks and I know less now then before. How's that possible?Dean was the man that I kept talking to on the phone when I called. I guess they assume that talking to a poor old man would help me stay calm or something.� I was extremely nice, forgiving, understanding, and patient with this guy (even though I knew he was feeding me a line of bullshit everytime he spoke to me) ..but a broke, down on her luck, fulltime working mom of two small boys, during a pandemic, without a vehicle only can take so much. Especially when I run out of options and actually had to walk home from work on days I could no longer afford an Uber. That stopped though when people at my job saw me didn't want me walking anymore because, with everything going on in the world these days, they didn't want something to happen to me.I have been a burden to my friends, my work, and my family for 3 freaking weeks and they wondered why I didn't just take it someplace else. Why? Because I always try to give people a chance, and plus I don't have the extra cash to tow my Jeep back and forth from one place to another. Worst service and experience I have ever had...with anything really.Never go to this shop! My time, my friend's time, and my money was wasted and nothing on my Jeep was fixed. Nothing even figured out. I'm so disappointed and it makes me sick how a place like this stays in business at all. I shouldn't have to pay for anything because I was more inconvenienced with them having my car then if it just remained sitting in my apt parking lot. But I was the dumbass who asked for their help and had it towed over to Edward's Transmission and Auto Systems and now I get to fork over the cash for that mistake.�Thanks a lot for nothing!

I had a great experience with Edwards. I'd previously heard a lot of bad news about this company, particularly this location.But that was not my experience. Greg was very honest with me about the cost of potential repairs and what would need to be done. We ended up taking the vehicle to another place for body work assessment. In the end it needed to be totaled. Greg was honest enough to tell me the truth of the situation.I can't speak for the quality of repairs, but if the customer service and honest of the employees is any indication, it's a shop well-worth patronizing. At the very least for an assessment. Greg walked me through step by step and didn't engage in any action until getting permission from me.

Not a complaint to the shop owner but to the Edward system call center . Please be aware of the place you assign us to as what the waiting limit or time is. I was scheduled for Sat 8am and the shop owner said he was booked all day to leave my truck behind . Not a problem but if the call center new this then we could have scheduled out or went to another garage. Please call center get in touch and more accumulate with your garages .

I was referred to Edwards from another shop and had a great experience. They were timely in fixing my Jeep and were patient with my warranty company despite the company being a pain to deal with. Johnny was great to work with and was a huge help throughout the whole process. I d use them again.

Took my Dodge Dakota, that has a noise in the engine, here. I ve seen the commercials and figured they won t try to make a million dollars off of me BUT I was wrong. They told me I needed a rebuild for $4,100 or a crate engine for $7,000!! The truck isn t worth but $2,500!!! When I asked what s the price on actually fixing the problem and he said Well, it has over 100,000 miles on it and I m not gonna fix it, it needs rebuilt or a new engine . For one, that price is an absolute JOKE. Two, I guess they don t do repairs on vehicles with over 100,000 miles on it. Three, they never said what was wrong with it. All they said was it needs a new engine. I m pretty upset with these people because it seemed all they wanted was my money and didn t want to fix what the problem was and didn t bother to tell me. As I was there waiting, for about 12 minutes, 2 other people came in and declined repairs and picked up their cars because they quote way more than anyone can afford or what the vehicle is worth!! Don t fall for the Mommy/Son commercials and think they care and that they re honest because they re not! I ve never in my life been quoted this much money for any repair before! Do yourself a favor, save THOUSANDS and go somewhere else!UPDATE UPDATE!!! Got the truck fixed for $375! No more noise! So glad I decided not to spend $4,100 for something that really cost me under $400! Edwards service advisors and mechanics are scam artists!

These people have had my car for over a month. Every week it a different reason why they can t complete the job. Total lack of professionalism. Tried to get my car out of there shop this morning the manager hung up on me over the phone. I drove to the shop and told them I wanted my car out of there shop and was told I could not have me car back. Huge mistake if you are thinking about letting this company do work on your car.Service: Transmission

If I could give 0 stars I would. Let me just begin here. I took my car in because it would shift but not move. They told me my drive train was shredded and that it would cost $1,800. Months later (not having the money then) I took it to Mitsubishi and as soon as they got on my entire Axel fell and snapped. A screw driver fell down. Edwards transmission is the ONLY people that have touched it. They literally stuck my Axel up with a screw driver and told me something completely false was wrong with my car.

Rudy the owner is a very honest mechanic he is on top of his game , the seals for the Ford Edge Ptu are very hard to come by , I had another transmission shop try to tell me I needed a whole new transfer case when in reality all it needed was seals, This place saved me 1000$

I'm only sharing this now because it's coming up on 6 years since I brought my car here and was told that my car needed a new transmission. Now here in 2018 the car is still running never had to get a new or rebuilt transmission actually no transmission problems at all. I'm so happy I was not so naive to listen to them and got a second opinion, clearly they were trying to take advantage.

Do not go to Edwards transmission, I recently went there and it was a waste of time, money, and hassle. I went in there to get my shift rod fix and key ignition taken out, later that evening I have a transmission oil leak which was never a prior issue. Of course like any messy mechanic they want it taken back for more work and more money to fix. They have been around for 30 years ofcourse because they have been scamming people for 30 years. Please don't come here take my advice read reviews before your trusting someone with your vehicle.

Several years ago I took my Toyota in for delayed shifting. Said they would need to rebuild it because metal shavings were in the fluid. Told me it would take a week and gave me a quote, go back in a week and it's not ready. Parts haven't come in, another week goes by and I go to pick it up. The bill is nearly twice the quoted price. They tell me it's because my transmission is a rare mirror image design used on cars that have the steering wheel on the other side. What the hell, I asked to see the boxes for the parts but they are already gone. I have never heard of such a thing before or since and will never go there again. Edward wasn't a nice boy that day

Went in with a clutch problem, and they treated me like I was an old friend. I was amazed at the customer service. They called me when a part that was discussed was unavailable and a more expensive part was needed and it was going to change their estimate. I knew the repair was going to be expensive, but they were up front from the start. They even called afterwards to check on my satisfaction. That's something you don't often see today. Would recommend them to others. Thanks Greg and Marty.

I would not trust these people at all, they are crooks. Told me 1800 to rebuild my transmission shi I took them my truck. Then when I go to pick it up its 2500. Said my tranny could not be rebuilt cause it had water in it so they bought another tranny to rebuild. I talked to another tranny shop that told me that is ridiculous, water in the tranny does not mean it can't be rebuilt! So they just screwed me. Then 2 days later it starts leaking so I go back after calling them and when I got there they were so rude to me I got in my truck and left. I took it to midas and they took care of me. SO DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS AT ALL....... SCAMERS

Do not I repeat do not stay clear please!! I wish I would have read the reviews before allowing them to tow my vechicle they are compete scams they didn't know that I had previously had my car inspected by two other places than they come up with some bull that I need a new transmission seriously than got mad when I said well I brought it to you guys because I had an oil leak soooooo instead of this new transmission I want the leak fixed he immediately got disrespectful and snapped off than refused to fix my oil leak until I got a new rebuildt transmission so I said okay I'll pick it up , than he said he wants 110 for towing but he is the one refusing the service which makes me not liable for his decision after back and forth he told.me " what you are going to do is come in swipe your card and pay your towing fee !! Soo damn disrespectful sooo finally I agreed than he said I changed my mind I want cash NOOOO I not about to go out my way to accommodate anything for them worst service only reason I went to them is because the shops I was going to take it to was booked up for 2 weeks I couldn't believe the way he spoke to me !!! I want my car I don't trust them with it !!!!!!!!! Stay away far away !!! Garage look for your self on BBB at the reviews they are horrible !!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't recommend them to anyone

If you would like to pay $5,000 to have your car totaled go ahead and take your car here ! I paid $5,000 to have a new motor installed and they totaled my car and with an inexperienced mechanic in their shop the weight of the motor destroyed my car at installation . I brought To another shop and they told me everything damaged by the motor installation with photos . The manager was very rude even with the evidence . AND I HAD TO BRING IT BACK EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK FORVER ANYWAYS BECAUSE THE OIL WAS LEAKING ! STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Never going here again. Eas qouted ome proce. Then price was almost doubled. They will always tell you there is a problem with your transmission even if there isn't. Got my car back after a rebuilt trani. And now it feels even worse. I panicked and didn't do my homework first and thats my fault, but i will never use them again. Going to have to take my car back to them cause the work was half assed.

Had an appointment. Got there , they kept my van and called 30 minutes before closing saying they could not complete the evaluation due to time ,,, after telling me I was the only one who showed up for my appointment at 8:30 am . No place to sit car parts in every chair . Not organized!

I brought my Dodge Caravan to the Southport location with the transmission slipping badly. I was told at another shop that it would be a higher cost since it had a Mitsubishi transmission. Edwards had me back on the road in 3 days at a price that was much less then previously quoted. Thank you Edwards!!!
