Edwards Transmission on Shadeland Ave saved our Christmas when our Family's only passenger vehicle clutch failed (Ford not a fan came with the marriage)They expertly fixed it within budget ,showcasing their knowledge. Detailing the issues and options.Our car returned spotless, and with flawless issues thus far with a 1 year warranty/unlimited miles.Chose them for reliability over slightly cheaper alternatives worth it for the next 100,000 miles.

I took my car to 2 other places before this Edward's Transmissions (Shadeland Ave) mostly because they had better reviews. I should have come here first. The guys got my car in on my only day off (made an appt). They found the problem and the cause of the problem. They called me several times during the process to update me. They went to the dealership, and drove around in Friday traffic to get parts. They had my car fixed for me the same day. I feel they gave excellent customer service and did exceptional work! It has been a couple weeks now and my car is running great! Thanks guys!

They tried to overcharge me when the warranty was paying for everything my dealership and warranty company even said I only would have to pay $100 and he tried to charge me $2300 and it s Christmas time stop looking at people thinking they got it just because of the car they drive

Very unprofessional Dave had our car this time for 5 days and it's still sitting there. And last year they had our car for 2 weeks and we paid over $4000 & we had to rent a car as well so in total $6000!! And we were told that they had rebuilt the transmission and we had a year warranty and we took the car back this past week and on Friday they still hadn't touched it, so my husband went and talked to the owner and my husband gave him til this Friday and if it's not fixed than we want our money back and we will take it to another business that is more professional!!

Every time my mom would come up there and ask for a specific person, the nasty owner or one of the managers, and older guy, would always say, "he's busy, come back later or he's eating or he's not here", he was just nasty and rude. It made me think of a scripture that says, "It is I giveth the power to get wealth and I can taketh it away." Keep being nasty, maybe the next time a horrible thing affects the world, your shop will be destroyed and out of business and when it does, remember your nasty treatment to a Godly, Christian woman that only wanted her transmission fluid checked.

First, I Stopped by Edwards to have my truck serviced while there the owner asked me to push another customers vehicle intoa repair bay that was the first red flag. Next, the owner quoted me $300 to replace a sensor in my truck when I brought the truck back to have it repaired he told me it was going to be 900. I ended up taking it to the Ford dealer and they only charged 400 for the repair. This place is overpriced and unethicalService: Transmission

They have had my car going on a month and a half. I had to schedule to bring it in to be diagnosed after a test drive so I did. It was a week after my scheduled day that they looked at it. Price has went up on my transmission rebuild multiple times and I still do not have it back. Would not recommend, taking way too long for the rebuild and the price is around 1000$ more than I was first told. End price will be around 5000$ after told 3800-4200$ and for a 1 year warranty? Still waiting to see if I will be compensated for them having my car over a month.Service: Transmission

This place is very professional and they take pride in their work and always upfront with the pricing (no hidden fees)The only thing I would say is PLEASE GET BUSINESS CARDS FOR TREY AND FRANCISCO---sticky notes doesn't work I would recommend this place to anyone

If you live in INDIANAPOLISBEWARE of Edward's Transmissions+ Auto Systems Expert on N Shadeland. this place not only offers terrible customer service but they also steal ENGINES! THEY ARE THIEVES! They stole & swapped the engine out of our SS CAMARO! Greg is the owner and he is extremely unprofessional, he thought we were dumb enough to believe the engine hasn t been touched. We have proof of the engine being different.The police were called and GREG attempted to become a Karen. Play us out to be the mad black people..I knew it was something off about this place when they told us 4 different prices to fix the vehicle. They kept the vehicle for TWO weeks and ignored probably 25 out of 30 calls that we made to them. They also went on a test drive with the vehicle for THIIRTY MINUTES! Want to know why? To see if the engine that they put in it would work fine.I ended up looking up the place and if you see the reviews, you d think I was crazy that my car was left here at all.I will be pursuing legal action.Service: Transmission

I had a great experience with Edward's today. I was told by another company, I needed thousands of dollars of work done. Edward's was completely honest with me for a whole lot cheaper. Chris was great. He explained everything to me so I could understand and never tried to get money out of me for work I didn't need completed. I really appreciated that. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be back for any work I need in the future.

Worse service ever. They kept my car for two just to tell me about the issue I sent it in for. First off, told me that my truck wasn't in the shop til the following week which already was a red flag when I KNOW what day I had it towed in. Second, they lied and said it was up and riunning when in reality they had never even touched my vehicle yet. Third, it was never fixed and I had to pay 220 to have have it towed twice, there and back with inspection. $220 smh I don't I repeat do not recommend

Outstanding service and prices. They replaced the transmission in my work truck within a week which included having to order the replacement and pick it up. The cost of the transmission itself was very reasonable and the labor was extremely reasonable. The final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. They even went out of their way to replace the broken dip stick tube for me. They also picked me up from the rental car agency when my vehicle was done. I do not live in Indianapolis and they did not take advantage of an out of towner. I was really stuck and they rescued me. I highly recommend Edward's and I trust them. I chose them based on customer reviews on an internet search and I wasn't disappointed. 5 stars all the way.

Paid to get my engine diagnosed and took like 3 days just look at my engine. Look!My Light bar was stolen off my car and go pro camera.Light bar and camera was drilled onto the car so you would need tools to take off.I believe someone at the shop stole my property.Will not be coming here anymore.Deciding if I want to file a lawsuitDO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!You will regret it.

I have done business with this fine establishment for a. number of years. The employees are very knowledgeable And it has been my experience that they are always willing to take the time to explain each individual vehicles options for repair. I not only take my vehicles there I would recommend them to my grandparents. I Believe that that statement alone speaks for itself.

I rarely write reviews but, I can't say enough good things about these guys! I have a 2005 corvette with a 6 speed manual transmission. Very difficult transmission to work on. Talk to six different dealers and transmission shops before deciding to go to Edwards Transmission on shaleland ave. Kevin is great, I told him about my car and my concerns and he put me at ease....I could tell he knew transmissions and what my car meant to me. He and Chris and the whole crew did a terrific job at a great price. I won't hesitate to go back there again.

I thought they did a good job .. got the transmission rebuilt by this company .it ran good for about 1 week . I had to take it back to them . Within that time frame . After they redid whatever was wrong with it and once it was originally fixed it ran worse than before it came to them. There's more shifting problems when switching gears than I even had before it went to the shop .. 2800$ down the drain .

I was quoted me a price to check my car and when I got there to pay for the diagnosis instead of letting them do the work the price went up $40. Glad I didn't allow them to do the job because they may have beat me out of more moneyService: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

I would suggest looking elsewhere if you are in need of engine repair. I spoke with someone at the Shadeland location. They could not give me price for engine replacement but simply go into a tired old sales pitch. A full engine is pretty straight forward and shouldn't need diagnostics preformed etc. to get a price on cost. I wasn't looking for a contract just an idea to decide rather to send it on over. That was beyond the scope of this service center and should not have been.

I m taking a huge risk writing this post while my car is still in the shop, but I m hoping it ll get through to them to call me back.It s been in there two weeks. I dropped it off on a Sunday and they ran diagnostics on a Monday. They just called me this past Tuesday to tell me they were gonna open it up to assess what needed fixed.In between all that time I ve had countless phone calls with their staff, and can hardly get ahold of anyone. Their phone routes to a fax line when You call and hardly anyone answers, the call center is zero help.I m ready to write a check for the work to be done, just need to know the details and give them the green light.I m about to the point where I m going to ask them to take it up the road and give it to another shop to do the work.

This was the first time I went there and I have to say that everyone in there was so polite and nice. The reason I was there I had to take my son's car back to them because my son had a warranty on his car. It was nothing that Edwards Transmission did it was my son. My son has a lead foot and he did something again to his transmission. Edward's said it will not hurt the car to drive it. So after all these holidays they said I could bring it back and it won't take long to fix. They even remembered my son's car. I felt like I was at home.

Horrible business. Owner seems friendly at first, but they will fix your car wrong and get angry if you return to complain. Brought in my Mother's car for wheel bearings. They left a ball joint loose and the wheel was about to fall off two days later. They lost and damaged lug nuts and refused to replace them, failed to lock the axle nuts and increased price at time of pick without notice.

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE. They were unresponsive in calls. And accused me of being crazy for thinking my engine was tampered with. The whole experience was TERRIBLE. If your looking for somewhere cheap KEEP LOOKING . Save your money !!!!

Just a darn shame that you take your vehicle there cause transmission goes out thank goodness for warranties cause just had new transmission put in and it s already blown now they have to keep truck again to put another new one in and while they had our vehicle it got broke into and the radio was stolen out of it but they are not responsible for anything. Whatever I have already called BBB and Mr. Kevin is rude as hell when he talks to a lady. He will never speak to me like I am stupid ever again

Chris and Pat are very stand up guys who went above and beyond what was expected. Chris took money out of his own pocket to buy a small part needed for a repair. That is something I haven t seen before and says a lot about him as a shop manager. Definitely recommend Edwards on Shadeland for any work needed. Thanks guys!

They said they wouldn't do a transmission flush because the employees don't really like doing them and that my vehicle has too many miles. I thought that it was their job and professional at it. I understand that things could go wrong but this is what professionals are for atleast i thought?
