Dave is the best. Plain and simple. He demands the best from his staff and he is surrounded by a great team of people that have character and professionalism. Which is a reflection of his leadership. We have taken all three of our vehicles to him and We have no issues with any of them now. He is the most honest Mechanic we ve ever met. His professionalism and spirit of excellence is unmatched. Believe it or not, he is more interested in doing a great job, and pleasing his customer rather than making a quick dollar. When you Take your vehicle to him, You can be sure that none of him or his workers are tampering with other things (if you know what I mean). You can be confident that when you take your vehicles to Dave s mechanic shop, it s going to get done right. They go above and beyond and they Have been such a blessing to myself and my family. I just would like to say thank you Dave so very much you have an amazing team. This is just mind blowing to have a great mechanic team that s the customers can trust. You have done a fantastic job with my son s Volkswagen my daughter's Chevy and now my Ford. The guarantee and warranty is unbelievable I can t thank you enough for the quality and dedication your team has brought to my family and friends. Davis mechanic shop has been a worry and stress free experience for me I will definitely recommend any car repair or concerns to my family friends and anyone else I meet. We are so impressed with Dave's Mechanic Shop! Three mechanics tried to get our van running and failed. But Dave figured it out & got it running within a few days! See Dave. He's a credit to his profession & his community!

Dave and his crew are top notch. We ve been taking both our vehicles to them for ~3 months now after having a poor experience with another mechanic in the area. Their customer service, attention to detail, and thoroughness sets them apart. They also warranty all their work so if something isn t fixed the first time, they will always take care of it. I ve been extremely impressed with them.We ve done oil changes, filter changes, new tires (great deals and high quality), transmission and a number of other 100k miles type of work. All is done well and I feel confidant will extend the life of our car.

Dave and his crew were incredible. They were honest, quick, accurate and very diligent about giving us the best care. They had a quote to us within minutes!! They also got some major repairs in on the same day. We are from Bloomington and will absolutely be return customers of Dave s.

Dave and crew were FANTASTIC. they communicated well, got us in quickly and took extra care of our vehicle. We live in Bloomington and we were making a trip to Indianapolis when our car broke down. Dave got us in right away!! Had a diagnosis and quote to us within minutes. Offered to help us grab lunch!! DAVE IS SO KIND!!!

Had a coolant leak on my way to work. Dave was able to squeeze me in same day. Called with a quote and I was up and running fast!Very friendly staff and offer a super warranty program. Recently I took my Jeep to Dave's. I cannot say enough good things about these folks. From Jen at the front desk who was very helpful in getting me in immediately to Dave himself who introduced himself when he came in in the morning and definitely let me know that he was totally ready to do what was needed to get my business and keep it. After repairs were done we found that a previous repair was backwards and Dave only charged me for the part. My good ol Jeep drives like a dream again. Thank you! To anyone wondering whether or not they should trust these folks for their repairs I say wholeheartedly that you really must go!

I took my 2006 Volvo S6 R2 Dave s auto after going through a lot of ups and downs, finding the right mechanic and eyes and hands that New what type of car I had. He told me before he began Dave. He said I m going to take care of this car and he thanked me for bringing my car to his shop. I ve never heard anyone thank me for bringing my vehicle to them when I am the one in dire need that I have peace of mind immediately and that s what you need when you do business especially with not just a car but our hobbies are joy our toys as big boys. He began to work on my car kept me updated with the processes online up-to-date diagnostics that I can review the service orders everything they inspected down to the minute detail verbally we communicated through the entire process is very open and available in. Jen is awesome. They are very educated in mechanics and performance and maintenance. Overall on any type of vehicle you feel the passion and when you drive there, it s a beautiful roundabout cul-de-sac and it s very maintained manicured feels good man it s out of the way and the mechanic staff there greet you and they re walking with their chest out. You see you feel the pride there everyone feels like they know they re doing certified technicians. It doesn t get any better than that. I m giving all of my to do list for this car my hobby two days and we re doing it the right way and do it right the first time so you don t have mistakes full engine rebuild tear down turbo rebuild tear down every component that I needed plus things that I wanted projected to be done. We re going to do it from the sourcing to the inspections to the install to the diagnostics to the trials to the completion he can do it all go to Dave s if you want your vehicle taken care of trust me Volvo community. This is where it s at anyone performance wise. Do you know what I m talking about you wanna come here thanks Dave thanks Jen thanks guys. You guys really should make some stickers I m just saying.

We had such a great experience at Dave s yesterday! We brought in a used car before we purchased it to have them do an inspection. They did an immaculate and thorough job inspecting every element of the car. Everyone there seemed very knowledgeable about cars and we were impressed how much they knew about the car just from glancing at it! David even looked over some of my other car prospects and told me which one he thought would be the best deal. It was so incredibly helpful especially because I don t know anything about cars and I don t want to make a bad purchase. I never felt taken advantage of, or talked down to (which is unfortunately how I feel at most mechanic shops). Customer service was amazing and my mom and I felt so welcome! I will definitely be recommending to anyone in the Indianapolis area!

Great shop. Took our Honda to two other shops and they were unable to repair the vehicle. Took it to Dave's Mechanic shop, and they were able to pinpoint the problem (And tell us it wasn't worth our money trying to fix it! Wish someone told us earlier)

While driving home from work, I ran over a major pothole which caused damage to my steering and suspension. I called Dave s Mechanic Shop while after hours and surprisingly Dave answered and reassured me not to worry and it would be fixed first thing in the morning, like he said! My car was fixed in a short and timely manner. For their hardwork, dedication and 2 year warranty, I will be recommending family and friends. By far the BEST shop I have been to!! The whole staff was so kind and personable and Dave was amazing!!! He worked with me without pressuring me to buy things or upsell as other places would!! I felt comfortable from the moment we spoke on the phone until picking up my car and I am VERY pleased! Will definitely be returning

These people are the best I took my Chevy Cruze in for transmission problems and they fixed it in record time they keep you informed they are very professional and responsive and respectful you can't find these qualities in business anymore

*Customer service is impeccable, they should be the model of customer service.*The owner Dave & his staff were friendly, knowledgeable and easy going.*Great mechanic work & good pricing*My family is from St. Louis, MO and our SUV broke down while in Indianapolis. This was a very stressful & frustrating situation being away from home and not knowing anyone in town to call. Dave was so helpful and took all the anxiety out of this situation. He understood the situation and pushed our car ahead of his other workload to get us back on the road to St. Louis safely. Dave is a good dude and we need more trustworthy people like him in the trade. Please support his small business in Indianapolis you will be very satisfied! Thank you Dave!!

Even before coffee Dave was reassuring me he would have me back on the road after a Mazda meltdown on the way back to MO from NY.Dave had the diagnostic done, coffee made, and sharing some of his amazing life story with me before his crew showed up.His skilled mechanic had the coils replaced and I was back on I70 westbound before noon.Highly recommend for their certified, warranted, timely work; Dave s genuine, accommodating, uncommon care for his customers.

I was traveling back home from Maine and a hose went on my radiator. I called and mark was able take care of me. When I got there I met Dave, great guy very professional reasonable repair cost. Mark was a great guy as well. Made sure my dogs had plenty of water while there. One of the ladies there also offered to get me lunch while i waited. Great customer service. I wouldRecommend Dave's to anyone in the area. Thanks again to all of Dave's staff.

4/10 Started strong, but I don't know how or why , but you started playing a game with my second. You did an inspection and didn't find the issue. I knew it had but insisted that I was wrong and it was fine.(-$35 from the bank)*gas cap fault.The next day, check the engine for the same thing.And for the third look (because I insisted on a second look), you find a crack.And how many times is the front office guy going to ask about the vehicle that you guys already did "work on," or is that a subtle hint to get my first vehicle "reworked on?"Update:There was a follow-up call after making this post. However, all dance considered, I can't see myself allowing you guys to touch the car again. It's not about money it's about trust.2nd update:That second vehicle did need its engine replaced, it was under warranty.

Dave's is the place to go for all of your vehicle needs. I had a strut replaced and they successfully removed lug nuts that no one else could. They did very good work, were very kind, and gave it to me straight. Hopefully I don't need to anytime soon, but if the need arises, I will return. Highly recommend Dave's Mechanic shop.

Listen this is a honest review from the heart , when I say this is the best mechanic shop in the city I mean it, David is awesome and Jenn that works at front desk is awesome , they have good customer service with A1 work ethic mechanics , I will definitely bring my car to them whenever I need it worked on , HANDS DOWN THE BEST NO LIE

Ok first things first. I felt good just pulling in the drive. I met Christina and some of the staff and for 8am they all were polite and in good moods. Someone is a good manager. Then i met David, he spent all the time and effort to explain in great detail what they would do to diagnose my AC. Then just as much time later to explain the fix. Im a former mechanic that time has turned into a good customer. I am very satisfied. The work was done in the exact time frame he and dollar amount quoted. The job was still 40% less than the dealership wanted. I have handed out and posted this shops cards all over my office. This was a good experience and i wish all who read this go here. And dont forget to ask David his story, its inspiring. It says it all on his sign. 5 stars and more !!!Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

It was the easiest and most comfortable experience from beginning to end! They towed my car, got back to me with a diagnosis, broke down all the issues and helped me prioritize everything. The price was more than fair! So happy I founds Dave s- I ve already recommended them to a few friends and will continue to do so!

Good business I got brakes, pads, rotors, calipers then on a different occasion I got tie rod replaced for a reasonable price. the guys took really good care of me each time and had my vehicle back to me the very next day on both visits. got a warranty w all the work too for like 20,000 miles. thanks

Nice friendly people but scam artist. I went in because my steering when was shaking and they quoted me 5200 of work. They told me my rim was bent and that it was not an urgent issue my urgent issues cost 3200. I got tires and stuff done 700 and would get the rest of the work done friday. I took it to two other shops 500 dollars of work not including the rim. But my steering wheel was still shaking. I went and replaced the rim 130 dollars. The shaking has stopped completely. They were going to take my money do all that work and still not solve my issue. Because they told me my rim was not an immediate repair when it was the main issue.Service: Vehicle Inspection

We broke down in our 2012 Honda Pilot on I-70 near the airport. Turns out the Alternator failed completely, the car had zero power! We got help from Carl, an interstate emergency help service, with a push to the nearest exit... Upon contacting Dave's Mechanic Shop they were helpful from my first phone call. So we arranged for a towing service (also very helpful) to get the Pilot towed to Dave's shop. It was diagnosed right away, so parts could be ordered and delivered to start the repair early the next morning. Dave's repair guys had the Alternator replaced, new battery installed, and all new brakes pads replaced by the lunch hour of the very next day.We were back on the road, safely... I would highly recommend Dave's Mechanic Shop to anyone looking for knowledgeable honest guys to get you going. We continued our drive home from Virginia to Colorado on I-70, we arrived home safely....Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes

Hit a gnarly pothole on the way to the gym, immediately realized it popped a tire. Had my car towed to the closest mechanic, not too familiar with the area. They fixed my tire with ease and did an inspection because of the circumstances and were able to also fix the tie rod for me. Fantastic service, great rates. We will be going back!

My wife s car was idling very rough. I took the car to Dave s and got the car back two days later. Extremely fast turn around. I ve been working a lot of hours and didn t have time to mess with it and do a bunch of guess work. Dave was very sincere and straight to the point. After diagnosing, He explained the issue and asked permission to do the repair. I truly appreciated that. He was kind and I felt that his shop did honest work. If I m in a pinch, I d use this shop again and I recommend this shop to anyone that doesn t work on their own vehicles! Good job Dave s Mechanic Shop! Keep up the good work

Dave is a professional mechanic replacing our coolant (radiator and condenser) system. Our car broke down traveling through Indianapolis and he serviced our car without an appointment. He was helpful, prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The office manager, Mauricio, was also great, very service oriented and customer focused. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
