They take care of you.My car was randomly stalling on the highway. At first, D&A misdiagnosed the issue as a faulty alternator, so I paid for it, then the same thing happened 1 day after getting my car back. Lesser auto shops might have charged me for more and more fixes until they finally stumbled upon the problem, but these guys changed 3 things that could be causing it (including replacing the alternator again) without charging me a dime over the initial alternator replacement. This pride in their workmanship is rare in this industry, and they deserve to be commended for it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Did the job that I asked of them. Had exhaust manifolds done on the Hemi. I knew there would be problems with the bolts broken off in the head. They took 3 days and one stubborn bolt that wouldn't come out. Finally got it out. Same price as they quoted me!Thanks Guys!!

Look, I don t know shift about car maintenance, but I know this place has been the go-to for all automotive needs for my family since I was nearly in the single digits.I can t count the number of times they ve patched a hole in a tire or answered my dumb questions over the phone.I live just down the street but regularly have to drive to Ohio for work. Honestly wouldn t feel safe making that trip without them checking my car out first. Great guys, fantastic service, customer for life.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is the most honest and reputable shop I've ever been to. I drive 50,000 miles a year and always have two cars with 100,000+ miles- I have tried many shops. D&A came heavily referred from several other shops who couldn't get me scheduled in time to repair my car. The first time I went in, I asked the customers in the waiting room about D&A and heard nothing but great remarks. This is a small shop with big time expertise who always take care of their customers. I've always felt like the repairs were done properly and for a fair price. I could go on and on about how informative, experienced, courteous, and outstanding Andy, Josh, and Josh are, but you should go find out yourself! Can't drive your car there? Call and ask Andy for the tow service they recommend.

Today was my first time taking my vehicle to D & A. The staff was as professional as I had hoped. Also, very efficient, knowledgeable, and detailed when discussing my vehicle's issues with me. My daughter s break line broke and we are 2 hrs from her. Not knowing any reputable auto repair shops, I did a google search and found this place and they had good reviews, so I took a chance! Thank God I did! Terry and Andy were both great to work with. They were able to get her car in right away and had it done the same day. Firestone wanted to charge us $117/hr minimum of 3hrs.(for a job that took an hour) D&A did the job for $125 total. Saved us $225! Woo Hoo! Will definitely send anyone their way!

I took my truck in for a gas leak, They called & told me that the fuel pump was bad & that it wld cost me $822 & cld go up in price if they have to replace fuel lines, so I brought it back home & had my husband look at it, needless to say the only thing wrong was 2 fuel lines were cracked, I paid $100 for new lines for a job that they were gonna charge me $822 for!!! I would not recommend them to anybody!!!

I just left D & A Automotive & I could feel the difference in my car as I pulled away!! I anticipated a long wait, but was in & out within 45 min. Thanks to Andy & his mechanics for a thorough & speedy job. Thanks again to Terry Runyon for the referral. They will have my business again for years to come.

I can not say enough positive about this place. I am 3 hours away from home and my truck broke down. I am here due to a family medical emergency. I spoke with Terry and explained my situation. He not only got my truck in, but got it fixed within a couple hours. They were so caring and compassionate elevating the added stress that was created. I wish I lived closer. I would use them for all my repair needs. Old fashion respectable company that you rarely find today. If you have car trouble in Indy this is the place to go. Thank you!!!

An honest shop, who only do what's really needed on your car. No tricks, no unneeded work, and a fair price. Add on the highest quality work and speedy service, and you've got one of the best auto shops I've ever patronized. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

***********AWARENESS POST************This is NOT a bash post, but more of an awareness post! I recently bought a vehicle that had an oil leak! I m all about supporting good business and this was far from that!!!! I was made to feel like it was my fault they couldn t figure out what was wrong.I resorted to go to D&A Automotive due to convenience and my other normal mechanics being unavailable for longer than I wanted to wait. Well, I should have waited!!! A few of my friends know what I dealt with! After 4 visits, fixing the issue every time, they finally got it right 1st visit-Fixed the issue, charged me an arm and leg, and told me there were a few things I should keep an eye on, and put attention to if needed got home, still leaking from same area!2nd visit-Figured out the issue It was the area we told you to keep an eye on, it busted in your 2 mile drive home! , gotcha fixed up, no more leaks! got home, still leaking from same area!3rd visit- I just can t figure out what the problem is! We think we found the problem! Have you fixed up tomorrow and ready! We finally cleaned off the areas where we did work, it s fixed and don t see any leaks! get home and still leaking from same area!4th visit- We HAVE DEFINITELY figured out the issue and will have it until Monday once again cause we are waiting on parts and will have it fixed! FINALLY NO LEAKS!You ask why it kept going back!? Because they were going to fix what they started, since they took my money after the first visit and refused to refund me!It s my recommendation to NEVER use this place for any type of vehicle repairs or service! Thank you don t come again

Good family owned business and they will always give you the straight answer and not fish around for an answer and tell you that 'they think they fixed it' you get the car fixed. Unless it's not worth putting money into a car and then it's out of their hands. Been going here probably 20yrs on and off, always go here for out of warranty repairs.

Fantastic service. They diagnosed and fixed in one day what took Bill Estes Ford to look at for 15 hours and still didn't know what was wrong. The price is right also. Won't go anywhere else.

Terry the manager is such a great guy. We're from Michigan and in Indy on a swimming competition for my son. The brakes were failing on my Jeep Wrangler. The key was the turn around time they fixed it. Less than 4 hours. Very professional and accommodating.Thank you Terry.

NOT HONEST at all after the son took over. My family went here for over 25 years but will no longer after my last oil change. Andy was going to charge me $140 for a tire rotation and oil change. When I went to pick up my car he said they weren't able to do my tire rotation and the oil change was going to cost $85. LOL are you kidding me, you can get an oil change and a tire rotation any where else for less than $50. When I asked why it was so expensive he said it was because I drove a lexus, excuse me?! the oil doesn't go up in cost because of the brand of car you drive, nor will it go up $40 because it holds a tad more. You sir, are dishonest, and you will no longer receive business from my family or friends, I would recommend others do the same. Find a more honest and respectable business, because D & A automotive no longer offers that.

Since my relocation to Indy 7 years ago D& A is the only shop I've ever taken my car to.Even though I now live in Brownsburg,IN and work up @96th & Zionsville I still take my car to Andy and his staff for all my car repairs. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and quality focused auto repair. I respect the staff for not selling me anything that I don't need and putting safety first. Kudos to D&A for being a reputable and quality facility. 4/2013

This is my first time servicing at this shop. Booked appointment few days earlier and went for regular oil change. They did a very good job. Very professional and they have very neat office. I would recommend this place for others.

My car broke down while I was traveling away from home and I was towed to this location. I received excellent service and I was back on the road in about 2 hours. Thank you!
