I use to take my Cadillac to this shop, years ago. At the time (especially for a Cadillac), he was very reasonably priced. But that has certainly changed. Recently, I took my Buick for AC diagnostic. Overall, I ended up getting 4 diagnostics because the 1st place I took it to said it was an electrical issue (and that shop referred me to Chi s). But everyone else said the compressor is bad. Out of the 3 shops that said the compressor was bad, Chi s diagnostic fee was 2x more than one and 3x more than the other. His repair fee exceeded one shop by $500 and the other by $800. To his credit, he is efficient and good at what he does (based on passed experience). And I understand that times have changed and inflation is real. But pricing 2-3x more than two separate shops, isn t all inflation.

I d give this place 0 stars if I could. Dropped my van off here at the recommendation of several shops that said it has electrical issues. He had my van for 3 days & hadn t communicated once so I had to call him to see what was up. He hadn t even looked at it! In total he had it for a week and claimed he looked at it but clearly he didn t. Has the nerve to charge a $80 diagnostic fee when he didn t do anything nor provide any new information as to what is wrong with my van.

I had used this repair shop years ago and had expected to get the same good service. Unfortunately, he now charges $80 for diagnosing what s wrong with your vehicle. Well I was never told what the problem was and how much the repair would be. I was told I would need a new battery and alternator before my computer/electric system could be checked. I asked if he got the parts for cheaper and was told your not my wife it business I will charge the listing price so i was instructed to get my own parts especially if they were under warranty. I did that. Not realizing he has signs hanging that say labor not covered if you provide parts. I was given the wrong part and he was upset about the fact the right one had to be ordered. I am sure he rushed my truck out and didn t check the electrical when I asked why my battery keeps exploding he said everything seems fine you must keep getting faulty parts. I was charged $350 and I would never recommend this shop to anyone. If you need electric repairs I am taking my car to Stan s on Massachusetts will post a review and let you all know how it goes.

I've used Chi's a few times over the yrs. He is excellent and honest. In an event that I thought I needed electrical work, he gave me his opinion and turned out to be right. He could have had me drop there and called a cpl days later with a $2 or $300 bill. He didn't. Very honest. Thank you

Hands down the best electrical repair I've ever seen. Chi is professional, absolutely knows what he is doing, and had my vehicle back to me a day earlier than I expected. If I didn't know what color the original wire was off the back of the ignition switch, I would not be able to tell there had been a fairly major repair. I've had many mechanics confused about my 2001 grand am and their weird security/electrical issues my first visit hasn't fixed all the electrical yet.. But i took it in more to get it running again. For a very busy man I felt I received amazing customer service which seems very rare these days. Thanks chi's

Never had better service!. We had an issue installing a brake control and Chi's got us in quickly. Made the repair for the quoted price and even finished the electrical job we had initially started. Will be keeping this place in mind.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

It's been 5 years ago now since I first used Chi's Auto Electric for repair of my vehicles and I still stick to his expertise because Mr. Chi is so good and reasonable. He saved me an absolute fortune with my 2010 Cadillac when the dealership wanted to charge me a small fortune! And the reasonable fix still holds today! Mr. chi fixed my Lexus and did an excellent job and charged me many times less than his competitors! He gave me no hassles on when to get the car (since I'm a truck driver who's frequently out of town) and the car runs absolutely great! Thanks Mr. Chi...

I can't comment on quality of service because they refused my car - after I had called ahead. I called on a Friday and listed the reasons I wanted to bring in the car, and they told me to bring it in the following week. I brought in the car the following Tuesday around 9 am and they wouldn't work on it because they had too many jobs. This place was way across town for me, I was referred there by AAMCO. I did not appreciate the complete and total waste of my time and gas. I called ahead for a reason, and they did not honor what they had told me. This was preventable. Once I had called and they told me to bring in my car they should have looked at it or at least offered an alternate time.

This place is awful! Had our van in for an estimate on the a/c compressor and they either knocked the condenser loose or disabled it. Seems pretty much like a tactic for you to be forced to use them for service, which we did not.Their estimate was $80-160 and we were charge the full $160... Not a real professional operation at all

Took my 99 Lincoln continental in because something was draining my battery overnight. After they checked it out and was charged over a $100 bucks, I was told that they had found the problem which was two bad fuses, the cigarette lighter and the radio fuse, both of which were removed and that should relieve the problem. Well after my car sat overnight, the next morning I still had the same problem, my battery was drained. Called them, was told to bring it back in, was told there was another fuse to the radio, which they claimed they removed also, and that I shouldn't have anymore issues with draining. Well guess what, I'm still having the same battery draining problem. Therefore I will not be going back (and I was told they were the best!).

The person I spoke to on the phone was rude couldn't answer a basic question to find out what the problem is I would have to leave my car for a few days. That makes no sense and once they found the problem if I took the car and bought it back the next day they would have to start the process all over again. I explained I'm in a wheelchair I can't just leave my car and he just repeated what he had been saying. His first impression was I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Best auto electric mechanic in Indy! Prices are very fair and has been in business for over 20 years. Master at the craft in diagnosing electrical car issues through wires! We need more local business owners like Mr. Chi.

We took our car here to have some work done. Just picked it up. All is well, fair price. Very nice people work here. Very knowledgeable. Will recommend to family and friends.

This is a tough one. I went in because my brake lights/parking lights were not coming on and "Chi" looked at the situation, removed the brake light, sanded off the corrosion, 10 minutes later ( literally 7-10 min) charged me $60. Doesnt seem like very good customer service but on the flip side it probably did turn out to be less than if I needed a full diagnosis. Most businesses would see it as a potential future customer but this shop did not.Good luck to those going to Chi's. Hopefully you will be considered more of a future asset than I was.CJH

I was referred to Chi's auto due to a headlight issue. Mr. Chi diagnosed the issue. I asked him would the fee charged to look at the vehicle be taken off the total repair bill? He said yes. He fixed the car right away and the charges were fair.

Had a wiring issue with my car, took it to a few places before we brought in here. Within a week my car was back on the road, and the price wasn't bad at all. Friendly service.

I was referred to Chi's by the wife of a mechanic. She said this is where my husband sends all his electrical work referrals. My previous experience with an auto electric business in this market left my car still having issues. Chi quickly took care of me. He fixed my toyota while I waited in his customer lounge for about an hour and fifteen minutes. I was back on the road with my electrical problem fixed and was only charged $60.

Horrible customer service. Called up to inquire if they could do some electrical work. They didn't understand what I was telling them but yet said no they couldn't. I tried to explain but it was a power inverter that I needed installed but before I could even tell him the exact work that I needed done they hung up on me. I'm sure they don't read this because I see a lot of negative posts and no follow-ups which tells me that they're not keen on customer service.

Should be rated half a star. Wanted to charge us $140 dollars on the car, after they couldn't diagnose the issue. They also said they would call us and tell us what was wrong, well after a day and a half we had to call them and they had nothing to say. Thanks to Monro's for giving us a terrible place of service.

Chi fixed our Ford E350 bus in about 2 days. Oir previous mechanic had the vehicle for over 3 weeks and never even started working on it.

Had to have burnt wires replaced in my truck and he was able to do it quickly and affordably will recommend for any type of wiring issues

Hung up on me after saying he couldn't do the job i requested, if its not possible or he isn't equipped to do it, thats fine but being rude and hanging up on someone is very unprofessional!

He a rip off he charged almost 300.00 to remove an aftermarket alarm system and I had to pay it bc my car was shut down by it but he's a rip off
