These guys are fast and efficient. They work hard to clear the lot every night. If they can t fix it they will tell you where to go. I have sent my kids here with their cars and they have always been happy. I can send my naive wife there without fear of her being taken advantage of. (Get your mind out of the gutter).

I ve been going to this location for well over 20 years. They had gone thru some management changes and it seemed as though the friendliness customer care of the staff suffered, so I was going to other places for my auto services. I thought my brakes were going out, and since I had previously had Car-X install lifetime pads, I took it back there. There were some staff that I wasn t familiar with, but I was pleasantly surprised how cordial they were. I was prepared to spend some money for new brakes, but when they called me with the status of my car, I was told that the brakes were just fine but simply had a little rust/dust buildup on the rotors due to what appeared to be a lack of driving. That was great news and I appreciate the honesty when they could have just told me I needed the brake job done. So thanks for everything.

Went in to this Car-x for an oil change and to get a price check on an engine and cabin filters. They were able to get me in immediately and provided the price check on the other parts which were competitive to other prices checked with competitors. Gentleman at the counter was very professional and helpful. Glad for the positive experience at this location.

I recently visited this place to get my car's oil changed. During the visit, I received two different estimates that included the oil change cost and repairs. I appreciate the transparency and clarity about the issues with my car. It has helped me in making an informed decision about the repairs. I am planning to bring my car back to get the rest done. Thank you for the excellent customer service. I rate them 5 stars!

I live on the near north side of downtown Indy and will continue to take the half hour drive south to get the professionalism, service, promptness, and courtesy I've always found at Car-X at 8012 US 31 South. Honestly, I've been to other Car-X's since I live central to 465 but they all fall short to me when compared to the US 31 South garage. Plus, with the money saving coupons they mail and email, they've made a loyal customer out of me!

One of the hangers holding up my muffler broke loose and Car-X welded it back on and did a very professional job. Afterward they told me- no charge! They just got a loyal customer, I won't go anywhere else!

They used to be a lot better when Jason was the manager, but we still take one of our cars there. The Stop 11 and 31 shop was definitely a more pleasant experience than the 135 shop. So I ll drive the extra way to the better shop.

Staff was friendly and polite. Prices were a bit high and could not get my car in for a diagnostic service due to being short staffed which was a blessing in disguise I found another business that got me in that day and repaired my car the next day at a much lower cost

Had breaks fixed on my daughter's car, they weren't right. Brought the car back again (after already spending $500) they had to order a part. Went and picked up the car after hours and noticed her windshield broken. Notified them and they said they would pay half to fix it. They were supposed to call around and get prices then get back to me. I haven't heard a word from them about the windshield. You would have thought they would have notified me when it happened instead of acting like all was ok. I still feel like they should have paid for the complete window but because I had a crack at the very bottom (for 2 years wasn't in my view ) they felt half was appropriate.Wanted to update my review. After taking my car back in 4 times for the same issue (my breaks) they are still not fixed! So now I'm out 500.00 I paid plus the windshield they never paid half as promised.

Had my car in for going into limp mode and my AC not working. They replaced my fuel pump and said they could not figure out my AC issue. Their markup is insane. Over $230 more for the part than the dealer. I got my car back and drove it for a few days before it went into limp mode and then died in the middle of the road on my way to work. Had to pay to tow it back to Carx where they said the pump was faulty but then also replaced my fuel rail pressure sensor - which was what one of the codes was for when I brought it in originally. I told them that as well, but they did not use any of the details I presented when they wrote my car up for service - either time. I wasn't charged the 2nd time but still had an extra $125 out of my pocket for a tow bill and was late to work due to their negligence. I do not recommend going here and will do my best to avoid it in the future.

Been bringing my vehicle here for a long time I 15 years. They don't try to sell you extra stuff you don't need They usually get things done in a Timely manner. In the best part is you can actually see what the mechanics doing to your vehicle.

Went there and they were short-staffed. Had to wait 4 hours in the waiting room with my two year old for them to even look at my car. After 4 hours of waiting, said there was no fluid leaking, and to come back in a few days if it happened again. Drove 10 mins down the street and fluid was leaking again. Basically just wanted us out of there and to get done for the day. Not a great experience, but I understand staffing issues. Wish they would've just said that at the start though, instead of making us wait so long for nothing.

This Car-X location is my go-to for routine vehicle maintenance and repair work like brakes and suspension. I've been going there for over 15 years, and they've never done me wrong. Staff are courteous and respectful. I wanted to add another positive experience to my older review: We thought a wheel bearing was out on our car. Took it in and explained what was happening. They found out it was just a loose nut in the axle. Because of their honesty, it saved us a lot of money. Someone dishonest could have taken advantage. We love this Car X!Older review:Needed my air conditioning fixed. They quoted parts and labor. I compared prices to comparable parts online and their prices were fair. Brought car in at 6pm and was done before 9am the next day. Fair price, good workmanship.

I've always had a good experience at the Car Xs around greenwood (31&135). I had to pretty much get my entire cooling system replaced at this one. They fixed me all up and were reasonable with the price. I can see why some people complain about the attitude of the guy there but I honestly just think it's a personality thing. Not everyone is warm and fuzzy, which is just fine. If you're nice and respectful you'll get the same in return. I will definitely come back if I need other maintenance done.

Definitely appreciate the hard working honesty these guys presented as well as the great prices on labor, parts and overall service. Definitely will come back again.Came in needing an oil change and turn light bulb replaced, came out with a needed air filter change and wiper fluid filled.Just a warning they are understaffed so expect some longer wait times on service

Had an appointment here for an oil change and tire change out. They completed the oil change but had me reschedule my tire change for later in the week. I get off work at 4 and made the appointment for 4 (they book by the hour unlike the car X in greenwood), got there 15 minutes late and told me that they had to do work for another vehicle that showed up after mine because it would have made their company more money. Don't get me wrong I understand the consequences are fair for me showing up late because of my schedule fault, so they had to reschedule me again for a whole week out which at this point I am annoyed and took my Business else where (to the greenwood Car X). This is an honest review and I tried my best to not be biased, hope this helps.

Do not recommend!Went there a few months back and had a coupon for a radiator flush and some other things (winterizing package) and they told me they couldn't do it because there was gunk in my reservoir... which was the whole purpose of getting it done! No offer to give me any money back either, was upset and left since I spent all my money to do it. Completely ripped off and guy was SO rude. Feel like I was jipped for being a woman and didn't know better. Do not recommend this place especially for women!UPDATE: have called and left messages several times to the customer service number left on my review and nobody answers nor has my call been returned.

I went here for a $29.99 diagnostic on a vibrations issue while driving. I was then called and told I did not have lug nuts on my front wheel.I explained I had rims that covered the lugs with a cap. I was then argued with about how much experience he has and that I don t have lugs. By time I had got to the store they had figured it out.They then walked me around my vehicle and showed me that I needed now pads and rotors. I declined the service and told them to slap the wheels back on and we can schedule another day. I then return to work.I get a call 2 hours later the my vehicle is ready, when I go to pick it up it is now near $800. I said I never approved this. He said I did over the phone. Which is impossible because they didn t know how to get my wheels off when we had that conversation.Now I am still fighting to get my money back and being made to feel like this is my fault.I will NEVER go to a car x again. I thought I would share before someone else gets taken advantage of in this type of situation.

I've been coming here to get my car worked on for 10 years and just realized I need to leave a review! These guys have always been so helpful, explaining what's wrong with the car and never trying to fix something that's not broken. This is the only place I trust with fixing my car. As someone who doesn't know anything about cars, it is so important to have mechanics you trust! Thank you to all the guys that work here for providing excellent service every time. And thank you to Jason for being a great leader of this team! If you're looking for a reliable place to take your car, this is the place to go!

Please don't waste your time coming to this auto shop. The manger there is always rude, and I'm not 100% that they even know what they're doing there. I brought my truck there twice to be checked for problems and was told there was nothing wrong with it, then took it to two different shops to be told exactly what I thought was wrong with it.I've also seen who I think is the manager get into heated arguments with more than 1 customer.Take your car to Firestone down the road. $10 for an inspection, but they will actually tell you what is wrong instead of wasting your time.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Review should be 2 stars, but they did try to save me money so they earned that 3rd star. Was told be several mechanic friends that I need to get the radiator flushed, this place had the cheapest ones in the area. I set up an appointment (via phone, we'll get back to that...) for the this morning, yesterday. I get to the store and I find myself walking out 4 minutes before my appointment. I was asked why I was there for a radiator flush and after explaining my situation (which took less than five minutes) I was told that the flush was useless and that they won't do it. They said they need to do a diagnostic before they do the flush. Again, they did try and save me money saying the flush would be a waste of money (in their opinion). But why would none of this be explained over the phone? Why waste my time coming over? Speaking of the phone call, it was very hard to hear since I could hear the entire store in the background, manager seemed nice though. A frustrating experience and my car still has its issues unfixed.

I would HIGHLY recommend the CarX on US 31 & Stop 11!! Jason & his crew are fabulous mechanics & even more fabulous people delivering the best customer service I have ever received! They stayed open 40minutes late on a Friday night when I was headed out of town & had an emergency, just to get me on the road safely, & as quick as possible. They even had someone drive across town to pick up the parts needed. Even after all of this, every single one of them had a smile on their face, and said they were happy to help! Service like this is very rare these days .... please give them your business!

Excellent service especially by the guy who worked at the front desk who I believe his name was Kirk went above and beyond! I thought my car was ruined before him and his team took an alternator out that I had just had put in a month before that at another shop and come to find out it had not been installed incorrectly and Just a few hours later I was pulling out of Car-X parking lot feeling like I was leaving the dealership with how smooth my ride was running. You guys saved my life thank you!
