They did a great job, and finished in one day. They were very friendly as well. However, I feel that if I spent over $1700 on axel, strut, control arm, they could have aligned it. It was aligned before it was necessary to get it fixed.

I have taken cars to this location for years for oil changes. If Don is there, I just walk out and go elsewhere. He's beyond rude. Other managers are much more professional and accommodating. Thus 3 stars.

They always get my vehicles complete in a timely manner and they're reasonably priced. I bring all of my vehicles here.

They did Oil change and they did not tighten up. the oil Filter and and Most of it leaked out out. I will never go back there again..... We'll never go there again..

Went for my regular oil change on Saturday 7/29/2023. Excellent staff and technicians. The lobby and restroom were both very clean. I was 3rd in line for service and once they pulled my car back to service, my wait time for my oil change was under 45mins. Thank you Car-X.

I got there at 7:15am. There was only one other person before me. I got out of there by 8:20! Customer service is great. The small talk was pleasant. I'll be back.

Due to an inexperienced worker at Car X, my car acquired a mechanical issue that I had to take to another mechanic to get it fixed.

My battery died and needed jump. Was told after jump probably needed new battery. Called several places, was treated rudely and told to bring car in and THEN they would see if had battery to fit. Car-X looked it up when I called, quoted me price. When I got there, they were friendly, gave approximate wait time. Took car inside when they said. 10 minutes later showed me meter and explained why I did NOT need a new battery. WHAT GREAT AND HONEST GUYS!!

This is by far the best Car-X location and local mechanic shop. We moved here from out of town and didn't know anyone to take our car to. Someone suggested this place and it's been the best decision we've made for our car! You will always feel welcome and listened to. The staff are very kind and are very good at explaining the work that needs to be done. As a woman, I've never felt taken advantage here (and I've felt that at other mechanic shops where they really try to upsell and convince you that you need a lot of work done, but this Car-X location doesn't do that). When they've quoted me on work, I've called around and have gotten second opinions, and ALWAYS, Car-X is cheaper, by hundreds of dollars. They do the work on time. If you're in the area looking for a good, reputable mechanic shop to take your car to, definitely come here.

I am very pleased with the auto work, but they did not top off enough air conditioning fluids. It took too long for the car to get medium cool.

Outstanding service, very fair price and the do really good work. I highly recommend this as the place to get your car fixed. Bob and his crew are simply awesome and extremely knowledgeable. I would have no problem sending my spouse their to get our cars fixed. Really good, honest people!! I will return!!

What can I say, every car x I think I've ever been to has always had the best employees except for the one on West 38th Street. I don't know his name but the gentleman at the front desk was the nicest person I think I have ever met as an employee. Thanks Car-X will definitely be back.

Brought my car in for a replacement purge valve. Initially was told by Robert to bring it in the next morning due to a high volume business that day. I was told I had an 8am appointment. Once I brought it in the next morning I was told by another employee(not Robert) Car X doesnt give out appointments and my maintenance time was unknown due to a low number of technicians. They kept my vehicle for more than 6 hours without an update or complimentary notification. Once I made the attempt to get an update I was told the diagnostic technician was not in to even assess my car(AFTER 6 HOURS!!!). Very rude customer service and was not treated as a valued customer. I picked my vehicle up and an entire work day was wasted.

Got there 2 minutes before opening so I'd be first but they had already let someone in so I had to wait. I had a coupon for a free oil change and the services were rendered. It took about an hour which seems after little long for the second customer with so many techs. But I suppose they probably were working on other cars. The guys were fairly nice. But the lobby is old, and dirty, and really needs deep cleaned.

Made an appointment online week before cause it showed they were booked until so. Only to leave work early to make my appointment for the man at the front (who by the way was very nonchalant and dismissive) to tell me they don t do online appointments and they are 2 hours behind and it s almost 3 so they re not taking no one else back to old spot I go they never let me down

Finally some time to post this. September 21 someone damaged my catalytic converter during attempted theft at east side Lowes parking lot. 100% of time I use Toyota dealer on my 2017 Tundra 4x4 for maintenance. Bad timing for me in that dealer didn t have any parts in stock and supply was unavailable. $2500 at dealer and 3 weeks, but insurance was paying. Called this CarX store (R. Fleener) because I needed my truck for work. They handled fast. Fleener was great to work with. They did repair for $1000 less. I was wary but for several months all was good. March 22 Started getting a vibration noise and slight exhaust type noise up front where repair was done. My work atmosphere is a nightmare dealing with depleted workforce and a coworker with cancer. It all falls on me for the most part, so getting truck back in is tough. Finally did after speaking to apparently the manager (Don Bandy). I actually know his cousin and felt better about the warranty repair correction would be handled. Rattle was a loose heat shield and he sort of hedged on the other noise. Mind you, this exhaust noise has become so bad that the truck now sounds like the engine is super strained, failing or missing out. It doesn t happen when in neutral, but has started to do so as of this writing. When I m in gear and accelerating, it s so obvious that it sounds like my truck is 25 years old, not 5. Converters react on exhaust pressure, so not happening in neutral (Bandy s idea) is a cop out excuse IMHO. Left truck with them in June, I believe, when I had to take son to Purdue college trip. Pick up next day I believe, and they confirmed heat shield welded back on and said nothing was wrong with cat. Sure enough, drove off and it was the same noise. Technician on duty refused to get in the truck with me to confirm the noise problem. Said the manager confirmed nothing wrong. I had Toyota do $60 diagnostic on truck during routine oil change prior to all this and they found no other problems but converter issue was probably due to after market parts or the way CarX does the repair or simply a bad part. They weren t accusatory and didn t solicit me to replace it. Just that non-OEM parts/repair was probably the cause. No other work has been done to the truck before or since other than OC. Had phone conversation with Mr. Bandy (June I believe) that got a little heated (mostly from me) who was no help at all and blamed issues on drive train or something unrelated because I had initially said it only does it while in gear. Pretty much refuse to replace it because that s really the only way it will be fixed. Warranty is up Sept 22 and I will be dealing with corporate. Wanted to post this because I don t feel that this location has followed though on their responsibility to get their own warranty work right. And I gave them the opportunity to do so before posting this. Even if CarX follows through, it will NOT be this store doing so. They won t touch my truck. They will never get my business again. My father was a master mechanic and owned two Shell service stations, and he would never treat customers this way. Wanted to post this prior to starting the ball rolling to corporate. Wish me luck.

I have took my car here for oil changes for a long time and they have done pretty well, but they take forever. Like 4 hours. I will not be returning to this car-x. They wouldn't get my car in for 2 weeks straight, said they were full for the day by 11am?.... I took it to the one on shadeland and got right in. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Always get my oil changes here. They're friendly and do a good job. Wait times vary. It can be anywhere from 30 minsor more. Thankfully there's a Starbucks within walking distance so go early and get some coffee for your wait.

These guys are amazing, I got ripped off by 2 previous mechanics who charged me for an alignment, and they showed me the marks on the car from the manufacturer that proved no one had ever done my alignment before. I watched them do the alignment and they even wrote a note for me that helped me get a refund. They are honest and priced fairly. I'm happy to say I have a new shop I can trust.

Been coming to this location since I began driving at 16. Customer service is outstanding. Never had any issues as a 13 year customer. In fact, the mechanics have showed me issues a local tire company did on my vehicle. As a woman, I am confident when I come here that I'm not going to be "up-sold" or taken financial advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge. In fact, I get a company discount for working at IU Health.

I choose Car X for all my auto repairs and service. I've taken my car to the dealership in the past and have paid way too much and sometimes the problem I was having with my car wasn't fixed. I've had mostly good experiences with Car X and their prices are reasonable.
