This shop is willing to lie and take advantage of you. They ruined my car. I took it back twice, and they denied their fault. I didn't even need the work. It was a radiator leak with red radiator fluid. I have never reviewed a business because I have owned my own business. I know things happen, but this guy is not good and should be avoided. I have no money and now I have no car. I hope you sleep well.

I love this place stay really try to work with you. But believe me if your car has a warranty like mine was I just feel sad that they had to deal with my warranty but they took care of my vehicle and still are anything I need.

I ve thought long and hard about posting this review before doing so.Took my vehicle to Gary, super nice guy. Gave me an estimate and price, to which I agreed.He didn t ask for money down, but took a month for work to begin- no big deal.I m a widdle fish, in a big ocean, so I work week to week, like so many of us.I paid B&M every two weeks when I got paid- usually 6-900 per paycheck, so I could pay off my $5000 dollar debt to him.Upon retrieving my vehicle, it had been broken into, everything ransacked.I lost a high end radar detector, and many other items- even the change from my center console.Some might say, why did you leave those things in there?The vehicle had been parked at a buddies for a handful of weeks before being taken to B&M Back to the car Get the car, make it to Discount Tire on East Washington, take a left hand u-turn, car slips. ):Many more occasions since then have occurred, some of which were life threatening. I work 72+ hours a week to make ends meet. I paid 5k for this?I absolutely do not recommend, regardless of how nice the staff and owner are. BEWARE!!!Hopefully there is a warranty center not in his neighborhood, my vehicle is not safe there.RobService: Transmission

Would not recomend. Took him 2 and a 1/2 months to rebuild my transmission which's the end up just fine a rebuilt one from someone else. Tell me I need a transfer case motor they put one in did not charge my warranty people for charged me for it and then they glued it in so if I needed to replace it again I would not be able to. Both batteries were dead when I got truck back. A very bad experience

i have been trying to get them to schedule my vehicles for service for the last 2.5 months. in February I have a guy call me stated that they had to do some research and would call back tomorrow. 6 weeks later and 9 phone calls in no one will answer or schedule our vehicle for transmission service. until approx. 4 years ago they was the best place to go unfortunately every since then the customer service has went south dramatically. very sad :(

Got me in quick, replaced clutch in jeep. Reasonable pricing, pleasant people to deal with. I'd give 5stars but missed reinstalling O2 sensors and bank2 Got wrapped around drive shaft.

A few months ago B&M replaced my transmission for me. They were professional, and finished the job before the quoted time. Prices are reasonable. And they have a warranty longer than most. I was very impressed and they certainly exceeded my expectations.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I thought they were very fair priced, I used to help run a business, we've always taken our vehicles to them for transmission problems. I won't go anywhere else. Honest hard working people, and in my experiences we've always been treated great there. I think they are the best in Indianapolis. B & M transmission is the only place I will go. Fair price nice people.

I called to check my options on a transmission in one of our work trucks told the guy on the phone that was way I was doing he still was very informative and helpful and didn't try to steer my in his direction

This guy fixed a previous bad clutch install from a different mechanic for a very reasonable rate, educated me a little about clutches and he s got my 13 5.0 back to barking em.He s very very honest too, he told me nothing was wrong with the first clutch I changed and he was spot on.He s experienced, knowledgeable, fair prices and won t sell you anything that you don t need.Also everyone was personable and professional. Go here for an honest diagnosis and repair if needed.

They know what they re doing. They really did a good job on my old truck. New transmission with three year warranty.I hope I don t need them again but I will return if I have another transmission issue.

OMG what can I say!!! These people are the BEST!! It s a Great family business. I got a brand new transmission put in my 2010 Chevy Equinox. Garry was honest with me, he keep in touch with me during the process. My vehicle was finished in a week & has been running great for almost 4 month now!! I know if I have any questions regarding my vehicle in the near future I can contact Garry with no problem. His Sister is amazing also!! Thanks you guys

These guys are amazing and such life savers! This past Thursday, my husband and I drove 3 hours to Indianapolis to pick up a truck. Unfortunately, we bought the truck from an online auction and didn't realise it had a transmission problem until we picked it up, it was leaking transmission fluid bad. Once we got there and realized the issue, we needed to get it looked at cause we knew it wouldn't make the 3 hour trip home. We called a mechanic shop, who then said they didn't work on transmissions and suggested B&M Transmission. We got there and they were very busy. We explained our situation to them and said we really didn't have much time before we needed to get back home. We needed to find out if it was something they could fix fast or if we'd have to spend hundreds of dollars to tow it home, cause either way, we didn't have a lot of time before we needed to start heading home.They understood our situation and got our truck right in to help us out, even though they were extremely busy. Not only did they get us right in, they found the problem and fixed it! Unlike some shops, they told us exactly what was wrong and only fixed what was wrong, very fast and cheap. They saved us hundreds of dollars from having to tow it 3 hours, maybe even thousands from having to replace the transmission.They went above and beyond to help us and we are so appreciative for them!

Originally from Pennsylvania, I was on my way to Denver Colorado to start a new life with my girlfriend, who I hadnt seen in over a year. As soon as the opportunity arose, I packed up and drove cross-country with a vehicle that I knew to have a transmission issue and just kind of prayed that it would make it. I left with no regard to anything other than getting there with little funds except for relocation and was (stupidly) counting on the truck to make it.Then it didn't. I was stuck at a gas station in the middle of Indianapolis and it wouldn't go into gear. Having driven cross-country multiple times I always worried about that happening....especially a HUGE repair like a transmission. Where I'm from, people rip you off whenever they can..especially when you're in a predicament like I was in.I had it towed to B&M based on the high reviews and was not disappointed. A little wary at first seeing as how I was literally at his mercy, but I realized quickly that Gary was as stand up of a guy as they come. He got me up and running without breaking my bank. He didn't fully repair my transmission or install a new one. Instead, he took my situation into account and told me he could try something that was unlikely to work but may get me up and running. I agreed. The next day I got a call that the car was driving and shifting fine. Gary said, "well I drove it around the block fine but I honestly don't know if you'll make it to Denver. You need a transmission." and he wished me a sincere good luck. I could tell he thought the odds were stacked against me.Well, Gary...if you're reading this.. I made it to Denver about a month ago. My transmission went last week. You were right- I needed serious transmission work, but the important thing is that I made it here and thank you for making it happen.For those who are looking for a new shop, or those passing through, I highly recommend B&M based on my experience. He could have nailed me but didn't...and for someone like me, who was literally stuck 1000 miles from my old home and 1000 miles from my new home, that's a godsend...and if Gary says you need a transmission you need a transmission.

Knowledgeable and cost of services are very fair. Changed fluid and filter in my van's tran several weeks ago. So far so good! UPDATE: Transmission still going as of September 2023

Driving home from Chicago. Experience a little bit of a transmission problem. Stopped in B&M to hopefully get a quick check up . Is spearing the worst. There was a gentleman there , tetley I forget his name. But was gracious enough to give us a quick check up with his computer . I gave her some information and sent us on our way. Absolutely grateful for his insight. I recommend this place to anyone with questions or transmission problems. Service was excellent !

I have a very limited schedule and they were able to schedule an appointment to code and drive my truck. After driving and getting a cosd he told me the four most likely things it could be. We made an appointment to drop the truck off two weeks later and he called the day after I drop it off to say it was in need of a new solenoid assembly and quoted a price. My truck had 225k miles he could have easily called and told me you bad a new transmission, but integrity prevailed. Truck was finished a couple days later and wore was spot on. I highly recommend as everything seems to be like new again..... Well at least the transmission.

I took my work truck in to have transmission serviced and they exceeded all expectations! Very nice guys and very knowledgeable on any transmission issue. They are fair priced and provided a quick turnaround on the service. I would highly recommend on anything from your car to your truck. Thanks again!!!

Got my transmission repaired two years ago. Fast, honest and does very good work. Replaced the value body on my 2001 Saturn Sl 2. Said it was very common and had replaced about 200 because of this problem. Two years later and it runs very smoothly.

Very helpful and knowledgeable to diagnose my truck s issue. Rather than go for a full replacement right away they took the time to repair. They had a big backlog and it took a while for them to get the truck, but when they started they turned it around quick.

The only place in town that you should be taking your automatic transmission car to for regular transmission service. I've tried going to other places in town, and they want over $400 after taxes to do a basic transmission refill with a filter change. It's half the price here, and you're getting a guy who has 40 years of experience working on transmissions.

Where the best places for transmission repair in the southside of Indianapolis been there for over 30 years the owner has lots of knowledge of lots of different styles and makes and models of transmission the only place I would take any transmission for any of my vehiclesAlways recommend B&M transmission anybody play here's having transmission problems with there vehicle
