I was recommended this place by a friend to get my wheels repaired and powder coated. When I bought them in, we had a discussion on what I was looking for, the process, and timing. I shared a picture of what I wanted and they said they could do it. They had some difficulty matching the grey color I wanted so they called a few times for clarity. They finished the wheels exactly to my liking and were done earlier than expected. I am very pleased with the work and plan on bringing any future projects to them. Also, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful when checking in and completing the transaction.

These guys were great! 3 day turn around on sandblasting and re-powder coating my c8 vette rims. Quality is fantastic as well. Recommend this spot highly.

About a month ago, I dropped off my wheel for repair. The tire wouldn't hold air for more than three or four days, so I assumed it was a bent rim. They inspected my wheel and found that it was NOT bent, but had been corroding due to age. They re-beaded the wheel to create a tight seal on the tire, called me in two business days, and the wheel is as good as new. Really appreciate the great work and service!

I had a pretty negative experience when I took my wheels here for service. Communication was challenging at best with the staff, however when I was able to reach someone, they were always very polite and friendly. My wheels were cracked and bent by the previous owner, and two of them were causing a tire leak. They were able to repair one of those, it no longer leaks. One of the other ones still leaks, but at least it leaks slower now. There is also a different wheel now that leaks that did not when I dropped off the car. The wheels suffered substantial cosmetic damage to them while in their possession, chips and scuffs, they look pretty awful at this point. Plus, they managed to get white paint on one of them as well.Anyone can have a bad day at work, even wheel repair guys, I am just disappointed with how terrible it turned out. When I called to try and sort out what happened, they informed me they could not fix them and I should take them elsewhere. It's not like I am trying to pull a fast one here, claiming they damaged the wheels to try and get one over on them or something. I brought the wheels in, with some finish issues on them already, with the intent to pay for them to provide that service to start with. They declined to do that, which is fine. However, now my wheels look worse than they did before.Look, these guys have a LOT of positive reviews. I'm sure they do great work most of the time, but sometimes they don't. When they don't, the process to deal with it is, well, it's just your problem. If you chose to disregard the negative reviews listed and take your wheels here anyway, you run the risk of something similar happening to you.Maybe you will get lucky if you bring your car here and everything will turn out great, but maybe it won't. If you end up on the unlucky end of their mistakes like me, well then you get what you get. If you are reading reviews then that means you are shopping for wheel service. I would STRONGLY suggest you do so elsewhere.UPDATE - So I tried to call like the response here suggested, several times with no luck. Again, the employees that did answer were always polite, but none of the messages I left ever elicited a response. I mean, I get it. If I did this to someone's wheels I wouldn't want to talk to them either. If I can save one of the 3,000+ people who have viewed this already from making the same mistake I did, then at least it won't be a total waste.

After calling/contacting another wheel repair place five times and getting no response (*cough* E.R. Wheel Repair *cough*) Alloy Wheel Repair texted me the same day and got me in the following week. I could have gotten in sooner, but I was busy.First off, the wheel was repaired flawlessly. I mean, look at the pictures. I can't even see where the curb scrape was. Secondly, when removing the tire they found a flaw in it and recommended new tires. A bit of a bummer, but in no way is that a reflection of their craftmanship. The car is new and I am guessing this just slipped past inspection. So, I ordered two new front tires and brought them into the shop. Not only did they put on both tires within a day, but the fee was no different than a standard single wheel repair. So, putting a tire on a wheel that they did no work on was essentially free. Five stars there.Yes, they are busy. Yes, communication might not be immediate. But that is how ALL repair shops are these days. Wreck your car and need it fixed? Plan on having to wait a couple months before you get it in.But this review is for the craftmanship and the customer service, both of which were top notch. I mean, the work speaks for itself. I have no complaints.

My experience with the office staff and the techs were nothing but amazing. Sean took care of my rims first thing in the morning and I made it to work with time to spare. I would recommend their services to anyone!

I had a leaking tire and tire place refused repair due to a bent rim. I called Alloy Wheel Repair on a Monday and had my repaired wheel back on my car on Tuesday. I had a very positive experience and would recommend their services!

The pictures speak for themselves. Dropped two wheels off on the first day to see how they looked before taking all four. When I got the first two back, I immediately went home and brought the other two back. Both sets of wheels were done the next day. They told me one-two days (it took one). They quoted me $150 based on the pictures I sent them (before pictures), and they charged $150. I would definitely recommend them.

Great service! I brought my rim in and they assessed and repaired it in 24 hours. It cost $100, which was cheaper than the $315 the dealership wanted for a new rim. Very happy with the service and repair. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend! (You can see my damaged rim, but I forgot to take a picture of it once it was repaired).

Update : The wheel I had refinished by them already started chipping paint away at multiple spots so I went back to make them aware of it and she told me she won't look at the wheel until I pay them more money and if not, I should take my business elsewhere. Upon taking my car to other repair shop, they told me same wheel that I had fixed is still bent and they make you sign a waiver NO WARRANTY AS IS when you pick up your wheel. So how are you supposed to know if wheel is fixed or not until you drive your car for which you have to sign the waiver before actually trying it on? That's preposterous.....I was a returning customer since they did my wheel same day last time. This time I had a really minor bent and they told me 3 days for full restore. So I gave it and guess what?.... it took them almost 20 days to finish the job. Then I went again for another wheel repair/quote about hour and half before they close and the white woman at front desk was extremely rude. She spoke to me as if I'm a teenager trying to get free stuff from her, which I wasn't despite me explaining to her that I need my wheel fixed and I'm a returning customer. In between our conversation she just picked up a phone call in middle of my sentence and I just walked out. I hope someone else opens a wheel repair shop in indy since these people do not want customers to return. Just be careful if you're a minority they might profile you since no one else in the market to compete with them

First off I love giving reviews, as someone who focuses on reviews before I spend my money, this is very important me. Now, back to the actual review, these guy's nailed it. Very fast, very professional, and very affordable. Little did I know before booking an appointment they have a mobile truck that comes to your house, jacks up the vehicle and removes the rim. This whoel process took less than 20 minutes and my rim looked brand new. You can't even tell there was a scratch or dented metal. I have a black, glossy rim and the color match is perfect. Just be sure not to get your rims wet 24-48 hours after this process. Well done guys!

Great service and quality work. Their turnaround time is still quick, even in the middle of Indiana pothole season!

Had a terrible experience this week with Alloy Wheel Repair. Started off pretty simple, bring in my wheel, get a couple cracks repaired overnight and pick up the wheel the next day. However, I call to find out they don't have the materials or equipment to perform the job and was told the delivery would be coming the next day.Once again, I get no communication this morning from the company, I show up and they say my wheel is not done. At this point, I'm ready to just move on to another shop and call it a day. They bring out my wheel to go home, and it has been welded, but now the weld needs to shaped (grinded) to get tire to fit and hold. I ask to speak with the shop manager, and the front desk says he is too busy to talk with me.. The front desk says we need another night, so, I ask, are you open on Saturday? Answer, No. I would need to now wait to Monday, with my wheel in their shop since Wednesday. As I'm leaving the shop, I see the door is open, and I ask the guy (who was super helpful) in the shop what does he need to complete the job? What parts, etc are you waiting on to be delivered?? A simple grinding 4.5" wheel is needed to replace their only grinder in the shop. Ok, I ask if I go purchase a grinding wheel, can he finish the job. Says, yes, most likely.I go to Harbor Freight and purchase two grinding wheels for $10, and he gets the job done in about 30 minutes. Then the front desk ask me if I need to pay, I said, happy to discuss with your manager have them call me, he comes back and says he needs to figure out the cost. Then charges me the original quote for $125. I said how about the $10 grinding wheels? He just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. They probably have had a good business, I was initially relieved to take my corvette rim to them for service after reading all the positive reviews, and normally would not write such a novel on my experience with a company, but seriously, buyer beware!!Here is my receipt and the old grinder wheel they were working with.

Bad communication that lead to them making mistakes that resulted in a 2nd trip to AWR. Of coarse they did it for free but the PTO i took wasn't free(5days total)

I just had the wheels on my Cayman refinished @AWRSINC and I could not be happier. The process was simple and the people in Indy (Thanks Randi) were very professional and easy to work out the details. I highly recommend them, and will be back for another set for my other car. They were happy to spray them the paint code I brought them. Awesome!

Went to Alloy to replace a wheel in January, they ordered the wrong color but insisted they could color match it. The picture shows their attempt to match (Front wheel, still lighter than the original wheels). I took it back to Alloy and the girl at the front desk said they could make it darker to match the others. When I went to pick it up, the two wheels on the driver's side matched, but all they did was paint the rear wheel to match the lighter paint they used on the front. When I asked her directly if that was what they did, she lied to my face and said they painted the front one darker. When I pointed out the rear wheel was spotless, and the front one still had brake dust and grime all over it, all she could say was that they cleaned the rear wheel to get a good color sample...Go somewhere else and avoid these clowns.

Took my Audi SQ5 in to have the wheels powder coated and they did an awesome job! They even took my center caps apart and painted them as well. Thank you!

They treated my Porsche Panamera S with care and attention that is second to none! While I hope I never need their services again, I will gladly bring every car I own to these specialists.

I had 2 Mustang rims with minor curb rash on each. Dropped off at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The lobby area had a significant number of rims awaiting repair. I explained I was in no hurray and was comfortable if they could not get to my rims until next week. The young lady who assisted me estimated the rims would be ready by Wednesday afternoon. I received a call at 1:00 p.m. the next day, Tuesday, that my rims were ready to be picked up. Upon picking up my rims I was very pleased with the repairs and pleasantly surprised that the inside exterior of the rims had also been cleaned and shined.Excellent customer service and professional and friendly employees. While I hope not to experience damage to my rims in the future I would not hesitate to return here.

Impossible to get hold of, never return voice mails, did a terrible job repairing my wheel. The new finish was chipping in less than 8 weeks, and the wheel won't hold air. When I called (and finally got someone to answer) they didn't seem to care -- no apology for the inconvenience of having to bring it in again, no mention of making it right. Seemed annoyed that I wanted my wheel repaired properly.

We have had our car here twice and both times we were really satisfied. First time we brought our car with fancy alloy wheels to Alloy Wheel Repair to repair the wheels that had been curbed and were out of round from hitting chuckholes. When we picked up our car after only 1 day in the shop....we could not believe how great the wheels looked.Very courteous personnel and quick turnaround. Nice to know there is a place to take our nice cars when wheels need repair.

They were able to get me in right away, offered several paint options for my rims on my Cadillac and had them done in 2 days. We chose black and they turned out amazing! Great service, communication, price, and final product - great place!

If you have a nice car, don t bring it here! I brought my Alfa Romeo here to have all 4 wheels refinished. Really only needed 2 wheels refinished due to some curb rash from previous owner. The person told me I wouldn t be able to tell the difference in the factory finish and their finish if I had all of them done together, just in case the color was slightly different. I decided to let them do all 4 wheels. When I went to pick it up the first time, they had a blue hue to them and I noticed it as soon as I walked up to the car! They said they had a new painter and they would have to redo them and take the blue tint out. I also showed them the pinched look, orange peel, cratering paint in the corners. The guy told me, most people wouldn t notice that, but I guess you not like most people! I told them I didn t want them to rush it, I just wanted it done right when I came to pick it up. It s an hour and a half for me to drive one way! They kept it for another week and said that was the best they could do on the finish. I was still not happy. They took a whole $50 off the $600 price tag. Got my car back home and washed it and it is covered in overspray . I ve spent 4 hours using a clay bar removing the overspray and polishing it back out. I don t recommend Alloy Wheel Specialist. They didn t even apologize for such poor quality or ask if there was any way to make it right. I m going to have to pay someone else to refinish the poor quality paint job after spending $550!

This place has done right by me a few times. I had rims that would not hold a bead and was leaking air. They repaired at $75/rim. Sure...it's not cheap but it's a hecka lot cheaper than buying new rims!
