Nearly got screwed over by a dealership, but was recommended to here instead. They were friendly, considerate, and efficient. I managed to get my car back the same day at an incredibly reasonable rate. Cannot recommend them enough!

The reason why 4 star that's because I'll bring my ford flex for alignment and they don't do the balance,I don't know that I have to specify everything I need , otherwise they do a great job and price wasn't crazy......

The best service I have ever seen! I woke up early to get a jump on getting home to Milwaukee when my truck decided to have some issues. The staff here understood the situation, and rather than producing the typical canned response one would expect, the mechanic said, "Let me see what I can do to get you on the road". 3 hours later, not 3 days, which is typical, I was on the road. Thank you again, I made it home, and I made it home safe thanks to you.

I bring my cars to A-1 because they are honest, fair and follow through...they do a great job. I'm thankful I found them 15 years ago.

Excellent & honest people with experience. We took our car to A-1 for five years during our stay at Indianapolis and had just good experience every time we needed help. Edit: They replaced brake pads and rotors on our car and we drove with those brakes for 8 years with no problem. Thanks again to A-1 for your excellent work.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Honest, high quality work! A friend recommended this shop because she had a long trustworthy relationship with them in terms of car repair and advice on car purchases. I hand out their business cards and give my thumbs up for their work to all my friends, family and colleagues. These guys are good people!!!

Friendly, fast service & fair pricing! Brought my car in the day before Thanksgiving for some repairs - not only did they look at it & change the battery within a couple of hours, but they also went out of their way to ensure I had somewhere to go for Thanksgiving. Talk about caring about your customers!

If you don t know exactly what s wrong with your vehicle don t go here , brought my vehicle in because it struggled to start in the cold . When I arrived was told that I wasted a bunch of time because I told them I thought it was the alternator

My boyfriend and I were stranded off of 82nd street coming from Fort Wayne, called 5-6 places no one would help us but A-1. We needed our breaks tightened because the person we had do them didnt tighten them enough. Long story short we are blessed to be alive. & very greatful for the staff at A-1. If im ever in Indy again and need work I would go back 100%. Very genuine guys. Very reasonable price too. I would of paid what we paid 3 times over jusy to make my St Louis trip. Forever greatful.Service: Brakes

Find another shop. These guys misaligned my new oil drain plug by over five degrees and won't own up to it.Edit: Came back years later and this is still here. Update: I sued in small claims and they settled. Their lawyer paid me exact change on the spot. I hope he charged lots. Good riddance.

We have had excellent luck with Larry and his crew. My father has used A-1 for 20+ years and I started using them about 5 years ago for all of my oil changes. I had my brakes go out on the way to a Dr s appointment in Indianapolis and was forced to pull off the highway. I m so lucky it happened to be across the street from this shop. It happened in the morning and they had my brake lines replaced and car ready to go by closing time. People seemed very honest and the cost was much cheaper than getting my car towed 70 miles back to Bloomington and repaired. I m not one to normally leave reviews but this place was a very good experience.Service: Brakes

My husband & I were once loyal, return customers of A-1 auto services. Their mechanic was not competent in his work. He changed our rear brakes (which had already been replaced by brand new ones 6 months prior) without realizing they were perfectly functioning. We were supposed to get the front brakes replaced instead. When we realized this a few weeks later when the front brakes got stuck, we notified the mechanics and the head manager. Showed them receipts from another auto repair shop to prove the rear brakes which they replaced were brand new ones. Their mechanic was very unprofessional and stated "anyone can fake internet printed receipts." They did not own up to their mistake! Not only that, but they charged us full price to replace the front brakes. We thought we had found a great, honest repair shop but their mistake not only cost us a ton of money, it also made us lose faith in the competence of the mechanics that work there. Not only that, but the manager didn't seem to care at all! Very unprofessional behavior and we will NOT be returning! Also, beware if you take your car in for an inspection! They did not catch that our front brakes & calipers were absolutely stuck and that was the cause of the grinding noise coming from our car!Service: Brakes

We were on a trip from Michigan to Orange Beach, Alabama and our Toyota Sienna minivan died and we were able to pull off at the Castleton exit. We had the van towed to A-1 Auto Services and they were so awesome! They rushed us in and fixed our alternator. It took a few hours but we were back on the road that day. Larry and the guys are great!

I love A-1 Auto Service! They have been servicing my cars and my children's cars for over 15 years. They are easy to talk to, they explain everything, they simply do what they need to do to keep your car in excellent condition. I trust them to get the job done right, and to not cheat me in the process. I highly recommend A-1 Auto Service.

I got my last set of tires from them, and the price on the tires and labor was excellent. Today I went in to get a new rim and tire, fully expecting to leave my car overnight and spend about $275; instead they repaired it in a few minutes for $25. I will use them for all future repairs.

Took my 2011 Ford Edge to A-1 Auto based on the reviews. I've done quite a bit of back-yard mechanic stuff in my years; but these days I have too much going on and the weather being winter is awful to try and do the work myself. I'm leery of auto-shops due to mechanics lying telling you that you need this or that to rack up the bill hundreds of dollars when you really didn't need those things. So trust is an issue. Well, A-1 called me the day after I brought my car in and resolved the issue informing me that it was just a sensor, not a failing oil pump causing "low oil pressure" warnings. They were honest and resolved the issue quickly. Total with towing was $260, a lot better than the $1400 I was bracing myself for.

I've brought my car here twice, and they were prompt, very reasonably priced, and so nice! I know I can trust them to be honest and not overcharge me. A-1 was recommended to me by a friend, and I will only be taking my car here in the future.

My wife and I have been to a few other shops in the area, and nothing beats A-1. They are courteous, fast, and they keep us updated on the work they are doing on the cars. Their pricing is also very reasonable for the excellent work they do. This has to be the best shop in Indy, hands down!

Called before they were open and Larry, not only Ansewered the phone, but got our 15 passenger van and large youth group back on the road in a short amount of time. Reasonably priced. Very happy with the service they supplied. If needed, and in this part of the country, they would by the shop I would count on! Two thumbs up and five stars!!

This is a great auto shop. They are informative, competitive in pricing, and trustworthy. I've never been pushed to buy a service I didn't need. I had an issue with the car starting and they stood by their service and fixed a connection they worked on when it came off.Only negative is it can be tough to get in if you need something right away, but they will try to fit you in

Wonderful experince! My in-laws who have been going to this shop for years referred me and I m very satisfied with my car now! They began working on it Tuesday morning and it was ready for pick-up by noon on Wednesday! Friendly workers as well.

I called A-1 at 7:30 am. I needed a broken belt replaced. Bring it on in, they said. They quoted me a great price and had it fixed by 11:00. Great company. Will use them again.

Honest people work here. I thought I needed brakes. They could have agreed and installed them. Instead, they inspected them and told me they're totally fine for a long time ahead. Saved me some money and stress because "that's just how they do things." The right, honest way.

My sister and I ran into car issues out of town... So we went to any mechanic that was near. The first 3 shops we went to wouldn't even take a look at our car to tell us what was wrong. Thankfully the guys here at A1 Auto Body repair were awesome.... The tech that helped us (Reb) was knowledgeable and completely understanding of our situation. He and the shop took care of us better then what we could have imagined! Thanks again!

Rude experience I just told them the year make and model of my car and they just hung up the phone and wouldn't answer my return call. Would have been easier to say no. But thanks you can't expect much from any of these Castleton shops

A-1 has been working on my "family fleet" of cars for a few years. They're always friendly, timely and knowledgeable. The best part... They give their honest opinion and stand behind their work.
