This place is great! I called around several transmission places between here and Valparaiso and this place seemed the most knowledgeable with the best equipment and the best price.I really don't know anything about Transmissions and they were very patient in taking their time to explain to me the work that needed done the pricing and the time needed to do it.They answered all of my questions they got me in and out and even a few dollars under budget I would not hesitate to recommend this place if you need transmission work of any kind.

Horrible place to go. The manger lied and said my truck was getting worked on and it wasn t . He told me one price and jumped up to another price.Things was stolen from my truck and the guy Jim is a very good liar. So he thinks. I wouldn t recommend anyone to them. They took my trans out and never put it back in and then lied about it being put back in. I popped up at the shop he said my truck in their storage. I don t recommend anyone doing business with this place. Very bad service. They deserve no stars.

I moved to Indiana from out of state and needed a new mechanic. Had a engine light come up and they quickly figured out the problem. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Prices were fair and comparable to other locations, I called a number of shops. They did a bunch of other diagnostic tests free of charge and checked on the overall health of my vehicle. Will continue using them from now on.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair, Oil change

Chuck and his crew plays no games when it comes to rebuilding transmissions! Excellent service and even better work. Took my SS in and had it ready in less than a week really appreciate the turnaround! Wish I could give them 10 stars!

My experience with Trans Pros was nothing short of spectacular. I called and needed my car worked on immediately so I could make it to work the next day, and they got me in within the hour. They even fixed multiple other small issues with my wiring that I didn't even know I needed, and only charged me for labor and not parts. They took the time to explain their repairs and the costs, and it was more than reasonable. As a newbie to the town, this sort of service is what I look for to make a lasting impression, and it certainly did. Guys steals things . Drop my car off for work and things came up Missing. They did a terrible job on my transmission went out 4months and the guy basically ghost me. Had to pay almost another 2 thousand to have the transmission fixed correctly. I wouldn t recommend anyone going to this place. Horrible serviceService: TransmissionService: Transmission

If zero stars was an option that would have been my choice. We brought a 2015 Dodge Grand caravan with a non functioning transmission. Chuck stated it was fixed and that he wouldn't hesitate to drive it to the west coast. Six days later it had the same problem. When I talked to him he said "we fixed the leak". I said we brought it to be fixed, whatever it needed not to "fix the leak" . You said it was fixed. Needless to say he refused to refund the money. We had it towed to a franchise transmission shop and it was fixed correctly with a 36 month warranty. I'd recommend to go to a franchise shop directly, where people are properly trained and know what they are doing. At least then you'd have some recourse.

Horrible services, went in for Brakes and to get something fix under the car. Came back to pick up the car and the mechanic told me he change the oil change and did some other fixings to my car without my permission. Jacked the price didn't tell me about the price increase or nothing . Just charged me extra.

These guys is Really the truth when it comes to Transmission From very very reasonable prices to building heavy duty transmissions I got a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo I ve had for about 4 years transmission started acting real funny took it to these guys I swear from time to time I think I m in a Camaro From how they built my transmission I super highly recommendService: Transmission

The guys at Transpros went above and beyond to get my vehicle back on the road after a very frustrating situation traveling through Indiana from out of state. Chuck was very friendly, informative, and stayed in communication throughout the process. They saved me alot of money compared to other places I called. I would highly recommend these guys. Chuck, Phil, and the rest of the team are great. I got a lot of work done here such as a new transmission put in, a new transfer case, new struts, and a new fuel pump. Everything was done right and they will go above and beyond to ensure that you are satisfied.

Went and got my trans done in June. Was told everything good I could go on vacation and not worry. Went to south Carolina end of July van transmission burnt and was stranded in south Carolina needed to buy new van to get home. Went in to talk to them well no refund and just told your lucky. Guess you don't matter to some people 1900 is not a little bit of money. Looking for new place to do business now.

Worst service ever. I informed the owner that i had been warned by other shops that his prices will increase allot once he has your vehicle. He used his lying silver tongue that that has never happened. So i went ahead and left my truck there with the quote of rebuilding my transmission would be best at around 1100 to 1500 dollars. after him calling every couple days to inform me of "more problems" he kept finding and it would just cost a little bit more. I finally get my truck back at the cost of 2600 dollars and assured me the transmission was good as a new one, (which other shops quoted me 2500 for a new one) a week later, check engine light comes on, i bring it back to him and he says it needs more trans parts that were not part of the "rebuild" he did. and it would only cost an additional 600 to fully fix... grrrrrr, took it to another mechanic and they said the final part needed was probably causing the initial problem, and could have fixed it for about 500 bucks. I will never give a penny to this place again.

Great service and professional. I wanted to have my car checked out before the bitter temperatures hit this week. They checked it out, tuned a couple problems for me and my car got me through 50 below windchills. Felt they were honest about what needed to be done, received fast service with fair prices. I will NEVER go here again! I came in to make sure there was nothing wrong with a car i had just bought. Chuck said my transmission needed to be replaced. My dad forked out $2000 which he barely had to begin with. Turns out the transmission wasn't even bad in the first place! Trans Pros was telling all sorts of people their transmission was bad so they "replaced" it. But really they were just painting their old transmissions to make it look like they put in a New one! A man told me he caught them in the act. They had the paint out and everything when he walked in. These people are scammers!

It Started Out at $780 and went to $1300, I Wanted My Original Transmission Rebuilt Not a Trade in, all it Needed was New Clutches. I Was Promised by Chuck that I would get My Own Transmission Back! And Two Weeks Later and a Million Excesses Later....."Bad Torque Converter.... Metal Shavings in the Valve Body....etc"..... I Did Not Get My Original Transmission... I Got a Junk Trade In Core that Had More Problems and Issues then My Original Transmission....... I Kept asking Chuck where My Original Transmission was and Never Got a Straight Answer out of Chuck about Why I Did Not Get Back My Original Trans. I'm Not Satisfied with this Junk Transmission at All......and they do Not return My calls !......They also hid from the BBB........and they have 5 Different Names they go by....... BEWARE !

Chuck and staff are amazing..so friendly and professional..I am from out of state here working in Indiana and the I was told the U joints in my vehicle were starting to go bad..I called Hobart Transmission and spoke with Chuck explained my situation and I didnt have time to be down..Chuck said bring your vehicle down and he would at least take a look and make sure it was safe..I brought my vehicle in and it was the U joints and Chuck and his team pushed another vehicle a side to get mine in to fix it..Chuck and his team were my blessing for the day..this is an awesome group of guys here..Chuck explained everything they were going to do and did the repairs for a reasonable price..One happy gal from Iowa..

i would give this shop a zero if i can...I gave chuck my car to have my 08 impala Ss Rebuilt i picked it up from him on 8/23/19 here it is Today 9/8/19 and my trans GONE out already 16days later.... He wrote my RECEIPT up BOGUS and said i have 113k but my car had 117k when i brought it to him....He told me 12,000miles or 12Months for my warranty but he wrote it up for 6,000miles or 6months.....SO my car have 118k miles on it now so with only 6,000 miles my warranty would be up when my car have 119k miles by him writing my RECEIPT UP BOGUS AT 113K MILES.....PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP..
