Dave's is the greatest! I've done business with him for over 2 decades. Always reasonable and reliable. He and his crew are always looking out for you, making sure you are safe on the road. There is no better place in NWI to have your car worked on as far as I am concerned.

essentially, came here for repairs, got it back & the repairs were completed 100% correctly. afterwards though, yes the transmission was involved, it was shifting much more rough. i was dismissed and told "if the check engine lights not on then its fine!" i work on cars as well though & thats just not true. changed the trans fluid 10,000 miles before they'd done their repairs & it was a nice deep red. found yesterday it's a bright pink. called to explain & instantly am dismissed and told there's no possible way it could be them. i hardly gave any details. this shop is like every other one. if its not the EXACT part they replace, no way it was them. not saying it 100% was even, but they don't care to even inspect the vehicle or any sort of further thought or investigation.

Took my car in to get a new catalytic converter put in and it took me having my check engine light come on repeatedly for me to find out from Dave's that they received a defective converter. And then they want to have my car for a full day to test it when it doesn't take that long to change out the converter that I have warranty on. I spent 900 dollars on a converter that is bad. They didn't even bother to test the car before they gave it back to me. My check engine light came on a few days after I got this done and it's still on. You guys can do better. This is getting ridiculous!

If you re new to the area and looking for an honest and reliable mechanic like I was, I highly recommend Dave s Auto. The guy who took my call (maybe Dave?) was friendly, they got my vehicle in quickly, the girl at the desk was professional and super sweet, and called me with a quote for the repair within 2 hours. I haven t even picked up my car yet but I m just super impressed. It s hard to find mechanics you can trust when you move across the country So I feel lucky to have struck gold on the first try.Oh, and they also quoted me for the most affordable oil change I ve ever gotten on this vehicle in the 2 years I ve had it

I am traveling cross country and my car died halfway through my trip. Dave and Haley were nice enough to see me same day and get me back on the road to Denver within an hour!! They are the friendliest staff and if I lived in Indiana I would go to them for all my car problems. Friendly and professional. Receptionist was super friendly and helped me set up a time to drop off my vehicle to get the starter replaced. Owner was nice and professional. Great price for the work and had it done super quick. When I got my vehicle back the inside was nice and clean, like no one was ever in it. Absolutely would recommend this shop. Humble friendly employees ans professional work. Great family ran shop. It was my first time taking my truck there but it won't be the last. I have lived in Hobart my entire life.I have taken my vehicles to just about every mechanic in town. I think Daves Auto Center has the best service. Also there pricing is very fair. I will definitely be using them for future work

Efficient, knowledgeable, kind and most importantly HONEST!!! I can not express this enough. No, jacked up prices or embellished estimates. They will fix exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and not try to upsale you everytime. This place is the very best mechanic shop I have ever utilized. Top notch!

Really great experience. Feels like a family. All the workers are so friendly and hard working. Dave overheard us talking with the front desk staff and interjected "whatcha got going on? Pull it up let's check it out." They were obviously busy and he just is so eager to help.

I've taken all my cars to Dave's for the last 25 years. So rare to find an honest mechanic. He's great. He'll diagnose what's going on and fix it. If you have multiple issues, he'll prioritize for you. Never pressured. ALWAYS great service. I have several family members, friends and neighbors who I have referred and continue to entrust their vehicles to him. Big, beautiful, but slobbery Great Dane is the official greeter.

Dave has worked on all my cars, honest, dependable, great quality of work, and always goes that extra step to ensure his customers are happy. I've never had to return to redo a repair. Great locality to his regular customers, he takes time to explain his work.I'my always happy with the results of his work!

Dave is a genius at repairing any type of vehicle. A very fair price on any repair this man knows everything about any vehicle you could bring in. He worked on my 1967 scout found the parts online and got me up and running

We have been using Dave for over two decades. He is the most knowledgeable and honest mechanic I have ever known. He guarantees his work but we have never had to return any of the many cars and trucks that we took to him. We are a five car family.

Did an excellent job on replacing brakes. Cost was fair. Came for an axle job and his prices were out the box crazy. Too bad. Was prepared to send him a lot of business

Good people who treat you fairly. Been using them for years and they have gone above and beyond when they helped me pass the emissions testing. As a bonus they have the largest and friendliest dog that greets you at the door.
