Best paint and body shop in NW Indiana. Give Stephenie a call so Mike and his crew can work their magic on your daily vehicle or your hot rod. They did a killer job painting my fiberglass hood and blending the paint.

I would not recommend, they did not take care of my car at all! I get it takes time to fix body damage, but three weeks of having my car you would expect it to come back in great condition. Right off the bat they did not fix a piece and there was a horrendous smell inside my car. They agreed to order the part which was fine but upon further inspection they didn t even take the time to clean all the dust from whatever they sanded, tried to hide that they broke a piece and everything didn t align and just left my car broke! They again agreed to take care of it order the correct piece but why wasn t that done in the first place. Then had the nerve to tell me I needed to take my car to the dealer because the keyless system wasn t on there end. YES IT WAS!! They said it was just unplugged but it is literally broken. They plugged it back in to a broken piece. I am done and will tell everyone to stay clear of this business!!!Service: Body & Trim

I had to have my car towed a few weeks back and unfortunately the tow truck couldn't unload the car without damaging the lip.I took a day off to go around and shop for prices and availability, that's when I met and spoke to the owner Mike Bates. During the estimation process he said the lips weren't available since the car is too old, but I could get an aftermarket one and put it on. No problem, I know the car is old and parts are hard to find.Feeling comfortable with his assessment and his quote, I ordered an aftermarket lip, brand new hardware kit, and brought the vehicle to the shop. I figured since the car was there, I would bring a spare door with too as the old one was tweaked years ago and would pay to have them fit and replace it.I dropped the car off on Setepmber 30th in the morning before work with the door, new lip, and hardware kit.The next day I received a phone call from the girl up front that they couldn't use the door or the lip. Shocked, I asked some basic questions, like what's wrong with it, and what my options were. She gave vague answers on the phone to the effect of "well we just can't" and "well it's no good". I asked to speak with Mike to get a more in-depth explanation and she gave me attitude and said "you dont need any other explanation because thats what he said". I was shocked and didn't see the issue with wanting someone to give their opinion 1st hand. Afterall, I do have to go back to the manufacturer of the part, and seller of the door and give them a reason on why I have to return them. I didn't feel this was unreasonable. She hung up on me while over-talking me.The same day, I picked up the car, parts, and Mike said if I can find an OEM lip, he would have no problem putting it on and painting it.I returned the aftermarket lip, thankfully found a guy in the middle of nowhere that still had a brand new oem lip, paid to have it shipped and it arrived today. 10/9/19I called back at 10:00am, where the same woman answered the phone and I explained that I have the lip now and would like to schedule an appointment. She said, ok, no problem I'll call you back shortly to schedule you in.Fast-forward to 3:00pm today and I tried to call back, it went to voicemail after ringing for a minute. I had my mother call from a different number to see if my phone was screwy and they answered right away. The same woman answered the phone and she seemed caught off guard. I just asked if they had an opening yet, and she apologized that they were too busy today to return my phone call. I said no problem, just let me know the next day you have an opening. She told me in 2 weeks, but they would not fit the part to the car, only paint it. I asked why they don't feel comfortable doing that, she said "we just dont". Knowing they haven't seen the new part, I'm curious why they wouldn't feel comfortable so I just asked "why don't you feel comfortable, is it the part or?" and she rudely responded "we dont need a reason".I asked why she was being so rude and she hung up on me.I'm not sure what the deal with this place is, the outside looks nice, I seemingly thought the owner was a genuinely good guy but it seems their skill set is limited, and their people skills even more.I judge people by actions not looks. You can have the best exterior of any shop in the area, and have the worst actions, and those actions alone will define you and your business.I would recommend taking your classic cars elsewhere.

Great work and super staff! The owner's daughter, who runs the counter (I'm sorry I forgot your name), is kind, patient, professional and knowledgeable. Not many of us have to deal with insurance issues, rentals and such in our lifetimes, but she walks you through everything. So, so very helpful. Thank you to the whole shop

We were greeted with a warm, friendly smile. The staff was knowledgeable, and the prices were great! I can't wait to see how my grille and fenders turn out! I've had work done with the previously, and it turned out perfect.

I have changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star because.... after having to get work on my car again. It was brought to my attention that my bumper that had been "fixed" still had the same paint (these guys told me the paint wasn't properly matched the last time it was fixed) as in it did not match the color of my car AND still had the "bubbles" these guys showed me when I brought it in!

Great shop!!! I stopped by to ask about a touch-up for my truck the other day, and the shop not only gave me a quote, but also recommend alternative routes to take. They then proceeded to refer me to another shop which was more specialist for one of the alternative routes. While I was in the shop, I also got a chance to look at 3 motorcycles that have been painted at this shop. I would have to say that all the bikes looked absolutely amazing.I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for any type of body work or custom work.

I had an accident in my brand new truck and Color Craft in Hobart handled everything from dealing with the insurance company to lining up a rental car. When i got my truck back it was absolutely perfect. Not even a trained eye would ever be able to tell it had been damaged

Brought my car in here, needed some work. The lady up front was very very rude. Stephanie Bates is related to Mike Bates so I guess since its family owned she thinks she can get away with being rude to customers.Much better places in the area to spend your money, dont be fooled by their outward appearance

Receptionist is highly unprofessional and rude. Over charge, poor quality. Don't really know what they're doing. Beware even the owner does not know how to properly paint a motorcycle or car.

This place is the worst used the cheep parts that rusted out after 6 months and the paint you can see where the truck was wrecked it's where the paint looks like a little kid did it and after leaving this place went about 30 miles and the spare tire and the rack that holds it all falling off from under the truck on route 50 lucky it didn't hurt someone i don't know how these people are still in open and Iam talking about the color craft at 6715 old alexandra ferry rd clinton maryland if you want unsafe junk work this is where you need to go
