I gave them an average because they didn't actually repair the car or look at the car it was towed over and I believe they were too busy to check it out but my disappointment came when they told me to be $150 an hour just to view the vehicle. I typically frequent shops that have a flat rate for diagnosis unless they run into a very extreme situation but to tell me $150 an hour I could go to the dealer for that and this car was not worth going to the dealer also they stated $150 per hour would not be put toward any repairs done so they can easily tell me $850 for a few hours of supposed diagnosis and the car never be repaired that's just too much for people who might have a car that's a little older or just not really worth putting a whole lot of money in too. Yet I did see the shop with other customers who will probably customers who've been there for a while so I in all fairness and honesty I would not say they were a bad shop they're just not the shop for me and my family

Cars Plus always gives excellent service. We are loyal customers because they do great repair work, are professional, friendly and accommodating to our schedule and needs. Tim at the front desk does a great job!

i messed up on the year on my last review, my car is a 1989 honda accord, typo mine, only place to ever take your car ,especially if its older like mine and you cant afford the work done at the dealership. Tim does very good work because he takes the TIME. and theyre not overpriced either,. :always go to CARS PLUS,i wont go anywhere else.

I've been a loyal customer of Cars Plus for years because of their excellent customer service. But AAA sucks because you left us stranded for 6 hours with a very sick dog that we were trying to get home .

The manager of the repair shop was kind and helpful and friendly. He listened to my observations and responded with courtesy. My car is old. So, I know that when anything happens, I can expect professional respect as my car is being serviced. Thank you Tim all of the technicians who worked on the car.

Absolutely wonderful service! I called last-minute, on a Friday, and was still taken care of that afternoon. They were busy, and had many other cars they were working on. I'm not sure how they did it, yet I will be a returning customer. They went above and beyond. Great service, great pricing!

I've gone to this place twice for my car issues, and both times, I had a great experience. They have very fast service! Both times, my car was fixed the same day. Another thing I love about this place is that I never feel like they are trying to just take my money. I've always felt very taken care of

Unfortunately when they did the 'inspection' On a prospective used car purchase, they did not do a' Diagnostic ' otherwise I would not have bought the car. Probably should not have gone there For the needed repairs, but Ultimately did, and so far I guess they did do a good job at that.For anyone's future reference : do not pay for just an 'inspection' pay extra and get a full diagnostic done even if it's several $100 it could save you thousandsServices: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto emissions testing

If you want an honest place then go to Cars Plus! The staff is helpful and friendly! And the owner Dave is hands on! They can literally fix anything! Outstanding and knowledgeable staff. Up front estimates with great communication. I own 5 vehicles and every one of them has been to Cars Plus over the years. From a 1979 Jeep Cj7 to a 2016 Ford Explorer. Tim, Rob and Dave(the owner) are great people to deal with and are truly a neighborhood mechanic you can trust with your car care needs. Not only for current repairs but for preventative information while your car is in for repair. I was working an odd job in Highland, IN and managed to get into some car troubles. Since normally I don't get car repair in the area, I was referred to a shop in the area from a friend. Their recommendation was Cars Plus. It was a great experience, I arrived at the shop, they took my information and let me know that they were going to run an engine diagnostic to locate the issue. They offered to give me a ride back to work during the diagnosis and pick me up once car was ready. My experience was great, they contacted me 1.5 hours later to give me a complete explanation of the diagnosis and cost to repair the issue as well as a wonderful warranty. It was nice to receive stress free car repair out of town. I would definitely give them two thumbs up for friendly service. Prices are very reasonable. Great Shop.

As a woman, you have to be careful where you bring your vehicle if you're not knowledgeable about cars. I feel comfortable bringing my car here. This place is great! I've been a regular customer for a couple of months. Getting tire rotations and other things. So this morning before I got my day started, I decided to stop by because my tire maintenance light came on and I was in need of a oil change. Even though they had quite a few cars, I was in and out in 30 minutes. I even had a piece hanging from the bottom front and they screwed that back on. They have always been friendly and have great service.

I was at work when a co-worker noticed I had a flat tire in the parking lot. Panic started to kick in then I noticed the Car Plus across the street. I called and asked if I brought the car in did they have availability to see it today. They said yes. I drove very slowly across the street to the facility. I was able to get a new tire, at a reasonable price, and they put it on in 30 minutes. They were a life saver!Service: Tires

I do not usually leave reviews but this couldn't be ignored.I brought my car here thinking that they would be a safe option to work with, I called in and spoke with the front desk when Tim told me it would be a 150 dollar diagnostic fee.Later that day Tim called me back giving me the price of the repair claiming it was bad fuel injectors and spark plugs. The price I thought was a little high and he sent over the quote via email. They charged over 100 percent mark up on all the parts and the repairs totaled a little over 1400 dollars.I asked if I could speak to the owner Chris to go over the numbers to see if we could find any room to work with on the price and as soon as I spoke with him my price went up to almost 1800 dollars!!! Saying it was a " Computer Glitch" and getting very flustered on the phone repeatedly telling me if I didnt like the price I could take it somewhere else.At this point I did not feel comfortable letting these guys even near my car and went to tow it to a different location and I went to pay the 150 dollar diagnostic fee to get it out of there and it had been raised to 186 dollars!! I was told by Tim that I misheard him and that its between 150-300 dollars. No I did not mishear you you guys just run a shady business and try to take advantage of people at every turn.DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS HERE!!! THESE GUYS ARE SLIMEY CROOKS AND THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

My wife got a flat on her way home to WI at 8pm on a Sunday. Unknown to us the Chrysler Town and Country we purchased new did not have a spare. Had van towed to CarsPlus, called right away in the morning (the gentleman even answered the phone before they were officially open) and they had the tired changed within an hour of opening. Every person I talked to on the phone was nice and understanding. Definitely would recommend.Service: Tires

Cars Plus! is the best. For for than 10 years, I have enjoyed their friendly staff and superior service. Don t go anywhere else in Highland or Northwest Indiana!!

Very friendly & honest. They'll do a professional job & while I've only gone for tire repairs, it's always been great! Only complaint is from my list visit. I only needed one tire due to pothole damage & I had to purchase a new tire instead of a slightly used one.

My father had a flat tire and was visiting from out of town and they really went out their way to help him. So, when I needed new tires I went here. I had shopped around a lot looking for a deal on good tires. They were over $100 cheaper. The service was friendly, fast, fair, and wonderful. They, again, really went out of their way to help me out - not only with the tires but some other small issues I was having with the car as well. With this kind of service, they've made a loyal customer out of me and I will highly recommend them to anyone who will listen!

I m guessing all these shops on Indianapolis blvd are Trash. Brung my car in to get brakes checked. I m told nothing is wrong. Pick up car 30 mins later something wrong with right wheel. Bring car back to shop for them to tell me oh your rotor must be warped that ll be another 125 for us to check. I m positive they did something to my car after I refused any other service other than what I brung it in for.Service: Brakes

the ONLY place to take your car in NWI. Tim knows a lot about cars, he always takes the TIME to explain everything, their work is always excellent and the prices are reasonable too, my 1989 Honda Accord came from the Honda dealership across the street in 1998, when it was CORAL HONDA, they do very good repair work too, but if you cant afford them and you have a Honda, see Tim, he will Always help. :)Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement, Auto emissions testing, Battery, Oil change

Had to edit. After over 3 years as a loyal customer and recommendations to dozens of friends and others, I have to say go elsewhere. Not sure what happened with their service, but on my last 3 visits, they stripped the plug on my oil pan, broke a wheel stud and after fixing the stud, cross threaded another stud on the same wheel necessitating another repair. They have stopped checking my air and cabin filters and missed a needed brake pad replacement for 3 consecutive visits.
