Left my car extremely damaged. It was an easy drop off process, but when I came to pick it up- a whole different story. The employees told me my car was ready and outside waiting for me. Practically rushing me out. I still needed my key . So I seemed to annoy an employee by asking for my key and paperwork. They handed me my keys and then proceeded to tell me there was a problem with the paperwork. I paid all online but wanted the receipt for my records because I got a warranty on all my tires and needed a record of proof in case there was an issue/malfunction. The staff associate told me there was nothing she could do and could not provide me any paperwork and I could just take my car and leave. That was after many awkward glances from employee to employee, which made me seem skeptical and nervous. When I got in my car and drove off, every light in my dash was now on. I had no lights prior to installation. My Antilock break system (abs) no longer works, and I have to service my advance track system in my car. Two days later I have my breaks changed and the mechanic notified me that my abs line was cut and the brackets were broken. No wonder they rushed me out of the store and didn t want to give me paperwork. Luckily, I have my online proof of service dates and times. I now have no choice but to sue and get the money for the damages to replace and fix the parts on my car that were destroyed. Attaching proof of pictures.

I love this location.They are always helpful.I went in for tires and had problems with my battery and they identified and fixed the problem.They called while I was shopping to let me know my battery was bad and did I want to purchase a new one.As well as I ordered the wrong size tires and they helped me buy the correct ones and return the other ones.The prices wasn't too steep and everything was done the same day.

Prices are best I could find online for a full set of tires, they were busy and appeared short staffed. Make sure you make an appointment rather than walk in, especially on a weekend. All appointments get serviced before walk ins so you could be waiting hours.

While I know they won t do anything about it, I wanted to still write a review to let others know to not come here. I definitely would not recommend any kind of services from their auto center. I had a 4pm appointment to get my (4) tires changed that I purchased through Walmart. I arrived at 4pm SHARP because it states that they will only hold your spot for 15 minutes. I pulled up to the auto center as instructed on the Auto Center appointment instructions & NO ONE said anything. my husband went inside and spoke to a rude woman & my car was finally dropped off and it is currently 7:59 pm and I am STILL waiting on my car. I won t ever come here again & I don t suggest that anyone comes here.

Every time I go here to get service it s terrible and unprofessional. They are always allegedly booked but when I am there, but I never see cars being serviced.

Website states the Auto Center opens at 7am. Arrived to be informed they aren't opening until 8am because no technicians. Also, was told over the phone couldn't schedule an appointment but the worker yelled from the door as I was sitting in my vehicle asking if I was the 7am appointment.?So, which one is it? Can we schedule appointment's or not?? Do better Walmart Auto Care Center!!Services: Tires, Oil change

I got there about 10 mins early to at least let them know I was ready for my 9 am appointment. I ordered my tired prior and literally made sure I got the correct tires. When I got here they told me my tire size was incorrect and whoever done them prior put the wrong size. Okay, while this is possible I have been driving my car for a whole year with those same incorrect sized tires for years. They then go to tell me that they can t put on the tires I ordered due to the wrong size. Got pass that and I said fine just give me the right size I have to work. The appointment slot is for ONE hour. I have sat here for almost two hours waiting on my tires to be replaced on a car NOT a truck but a car. This is ridiculous. I will never come back and no not recommend.

Most ridiculous place I've ever been to! Went Thursday to make an appointment and to make sure they had the tires I wanted. Made my appointment for Sunday. Went Sunday dropped off my vehicle.. an hour later they text me to call them... They don't have my tires in stock! So I go back up there find different tires an hour later they tell me they still can't do my tires because their machine will mess up my rims. What tire place cant change aluminum rims! 4 hours wasted and still don't have tires for winter. No one knew what they were doing or even seemed to really want to be there. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Very cheap oil changes. But you re better off spending 15-20$ more at a conventional oil change place because Walmart will never take your car in

I called 8 times no answer. I called the store manager twice to complain and even she didn't even get an answer! It took them 5 1/2 hrs to put new tires on my car and overcharged me because of course they didn't have the tires that they had advertised. The cashier in automotive was left by himself to take all the customers and complaint. Poor young man was definitely being overworked. I received my car LAST and AFTER HOURS! Then that night the manager of automotive called me up the what I thought would be an apology; nope she called to threaten me because apparently the paper they gave me was a work order and NOT a payment receipt. I had to tell her off. Then I had to go back the next day to actually pay for the awful service and my tires which I not realized I hadn't paid. It was horrible customer service. Never had this happened before.

Go in two hours before closing on Sat and was informed no techs are in only the person before closing was at the counter. Told to come in Sunday before 4p to be able to get the tire patched. Show up at 3. All but one tech is leaving so they can t do anything. Why stay open until 6 if you can t do anything. Got to love milking a clock.

The staff were very professional and got the job done. They thought my aooga horn in my 06 malibu was hilarious! Good group of people there. No issues with the mounting or balancing.

On March 11,2023 i took my car for an oil change that took 2:30 hours after getting my car back i found out they blew head gasket on my 2019 Malibu i took it to 2 mechanics and they both told me that the reason for my damage was that they had left my car on while doing the oil change and till this day no solution to my situation I'm carless and i depend on my car to go to work if nothing is resolved farther action will take place for this action I've called every Branch possible. Went in looking for a specific Auto Tool to remove my SPLINE Lugnuts. An older gentleman from the Auto Tire checkout area was very unenthusiastic to help, I think he was overwhelmed, BUT eventually he did.I didn t mind the wait, it s to be expected.The issue is when I Named and asked him if they carry this common automotive tool for Lugnuts, he asked me what I was talking about, he had no idea what a Spline Lugnut was. I told him the exact name of the tool I needed and he said he has been working in the Automotive industry for 25+ years and has no idea what a Spline Lugnut is what and Walmart doesn t carry it.I even had a picture. After seeing the pictures he then started backpedaling. He said Oh, that s what you re looking for? We don t carry it.Now this is a very common name Spline in the Auto and Mechanical industry. A person with average mechanical aptitude would know this. I m am a 100% positive that the Automotive Tire Department deals with these types of Lugnuts at least twice a week if not more when customers come to get New Tires.Also, in my opinion, when I asked this same Employee working in the Automotive department who said he has 25+ years of automotive experience Hey, what type of automotive tool is this? Will this work? That Associate should be able to explain or tell me a little something about it. Not grab the package from me and start reading from the back of the package to me to figure it out. I COULD DO THAT .Better training or better hiring or if he truly didn t know say hold on, let me ask one of our Mechanics that install new tires if they know.The 2 stars on THIS review are for the Automotive Check out area, not the entire store or other employees. Thank you.

They are understaffed I get it , how about putting an online appointment booking on your site? I call and call only to be placed on hold and then hung up on. Going there the hours posted are not correct, they don't even have a temporary sign with the correct hours. This Hammond Car Center is awful. Don't even bother with the store manager, they do not accept any responsibility for the Auto Center. I've been trying to have my tires worked on for months with no success.

Google says they open at 7AM on Saturdays, at the store it says they open 8AM. It's 8:15AM and they still are not open yet. This says poor customer service to me. Talking with managers is not helpful either. Smh!

Would give 0 stars if I could. They told me I needed an appointment to get tires installed. So I told them I would take my tires and get them installed elsewhere but the guy at the counter started giving me attitude. And then this other guy was waiting 2 hours just to get one tire installed! They took the tires to get checked out and I still got my attitude and more rude behavior from the employees. The guy threw my tires into the cart. And told me that I had to push back to my car that he wouldn t help me because he was busy. I had a bad knee and was wearing a knee brace and couldn t get my tires in the back seat. I was very angry that I went to the customer service and asked to speak to the store manager but they said she wasn t there. I knew they were lying. I don t recommend anybody come here unless you want to be treated like dirt!

If I could give 1/2 star I absolutely would. I called yesterday to get tires for my daughters car. An associate told to come in this morning at 8am. I am here and the manager of tires tells me that they only work by appointment. I can understand that, but why wouldn't they have told me that when I called instead of having me come here for nothing. Poor customer service. Upper management need to do customer training.

No one answers phones, go there and then gotta set up appointments for a different week. Then to find out they cant install the tires i bought from them cuz one number is different. Wont ever buy tires again from Walmart, why I normally always go to discount tire!

Their ok! Never answer the phones.. and you have to break some of the mechanics in so they will be Cordial with you. But other than that its cool! I love the old men there..they always make sure they help everyone out to the best of their ability!

I will not ever, no not ever use ANY Walmart tire and lube, again. If they can get a full shift and get there on time, they seem to be unmotivated, uncommitted and poorly directed. Their compressor was broken in Hammond and couldn't get an answer in Country Club Hills, no one tire qualified would be at 5th Ave after 4pm so I left the tires I bought and went to a competitor. Paid more, but they could get the lugnuts off

Just because they are cheap doesn't matter at all. I would have rather spent $160 for my tires to be put on then to deal with this store and paying $60. They do not care about there customers and have the attitude that because they make minimum wage, they need to treat everyone like they do. Disgusting customer service and even from management. Called corporate on them while waiting because I had that much time. Corporate tried to call the supervisor of the store, and even corporate couldn't reach them. Do not come to this store ever.

Wanted to purchase new tires got there exactly when they opened up, first ones there. Purchase the tires and wanted them to put them on. The employee pulled my car inside took off all 4 tires to put the new ones on only to come out about 20mins later to tell me that the air pressure machine that inflates the new tires was not working. WHAT THE HELL! Didn't you know that before you took off all 4 of my tires. I was highly upset. Definitely won't be going back there.

I went to Walmart on a Tuesday morning to have my 2 front tires replaced and balanced. When I entered, the attendant was pleasant enough and she told me it would take about an hour and a half to complete the procedure. I then proceeded to shop a little and when I returned the car was completed. I went to place my purchases in the trunk and found a water bottle there had been drunk out of and when I took it back in to find out why it was in my trunk or the reason they needed to go into my trunk, the attendant became I tad belligerent. She went to ask the techs if anyone had gone into the trunk and they said no. That's what she kept telling me when I tried to explain to her that it was not my water bottle.I have water already in my trunk so I have no need to purchase any and I am the sole owner of the car so there would be no reason for a strange bottle to be in my car. I also noticed that my glove compartment had been tampered with because it's locked and will not open, but the handle was pulled in the down position where someone had tried to open it. All I have to say is if you take your car, you check to make sure all your items are there when you leave or don't leave anything valuable in your car.

The staff is good the manager is fair. The wait is expected, watch some netflix, play a game, pay your bills, or take a nap. But its better than the other Walmart service centers ive visited. Today when i went the manager was in the shop working on the cars not just watching or walking around. When my truck was done i didnt hear her call me so she called my phone right away. Ive never heard them talk to people in a bad way. Like I've been talked to at other walmart service centers.

Talk about awful service! Stood in line for 20 minutes waiting for an associate to help me. When I was finally helped I asked for a price on a tire and the lady said she couldn't help me because she's not a service writer and there's only one on staff today. After waiting another 10 minutes still no one....I left and went a couple of miles down the road to Tire Barn in Highland. They took care of me as soon as I walked through the door.Another reason not to shop at Walmart.

I highly recommend nobody use Walmarts auto care center. Horrible to no customer service, the workers don't acknowledge you, they lack all communication skills and have u sitting there for 3 hours to tell you they can't do something. Worse tire shop ever.
