They always get my car right and don't have hidden fees or raised prices at the last minute. I've referred many people here. All have the same complaint that the girl at the front desk was rude to them. The work they do is really good though.

I ve been coming to Velasquez in Hammond,Indiana for years because the service was good enough to come back. Not so much now. Times change and so do mechanics. Had to go to Midas to fix my problem.

Very courtious customer service, fast work as of now quality work affordable prices, clean place would recommend this place to everyone.My muffler issue resolved in about 30 minutes.

Terrible service. Did not perform the work that I paid for. Paid for a complete exhaust replacement a little more than a year ago, had to take it back twice within a year for flex pipe. The car was still loud so I returned again to be told both mufflers needed to be replaced. I took the car to another muffler shop and they showed me how the whole exhaust had been pieced together and mufflers clearly were not replaced just over a year and a half ago. Also, every time I have gone their credit card machine was down and they were cash only. The girl at the front desk is rude and unfriendly. When I paid with cash they didn t have change to give me. Eventually she was able to get change from one of the guys in the back. If you want cash, then be preppy to have change for your customers. I will NEVER go back there.Service: Exhaust

Best price & service to have my muffler, catalytic converter & O2 sensors replaced. Quick service too! Never would have passed my emissions test without them!Passed emissions! No check engine light since it was serviced in September!!Give them a try, they had the lowest estimate out of 4 places total..BTW I have a 1999 Hionda CRV with over 250,00 miles.Service: Exhaust

I had my muffler replaced. I went on a Tuesday without an appointment, and they took me in. They asked me a few questions and inspected my car. Found my muffler was cracked along the welding which was causing the loud noise. I asked them if I could go back there and look at it myself. They said yes. Thirty-five minutes and $100.00 later I was on my way. Very good job. It's been a week now. Everything is still fine with the new muffler.

They are friendly and have quick service. The only problem I had with this visit is, they didn't reset my oil indicator on my car.

I originally came in for lower control arms and sway bars and was quoted 440 over the phone. After inspection I was told that I also needed CV axles, struts, and rear shocks for a total of 1500. I told them to do the front (cv axles, sway bars, control arms, struts) and the following week I would do the back. After I got the back done I went and got brand new tires. 2 days later when I drove the car again, the back passenger side was still banging. I took the car back, the mechanic drove around with me in the car and even though you could clearing hear the banging in the back. He swore he didn't hear anything and then blamed it on my "small" tires (which are the same tire size I've been getting for the last 7 years.) The lady at the desk asked for my receipt to see what they did. They only changed my struts and control arms. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this place. It's a rip off and they will lie to about what they are changingService: Steering & suspension repair

Do not recommend after having a couple jobs done not correct. Went in and took them 30 mins to put on my catalyst converter. Not only did they not attach it correctly, ruin my senor , and over cost. Please be carful and check there work. Not profesional at all.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Spend your money somewhere else! This place seemed okay at first but I was terribly wrong. Went in to diagnose a problem with my car. They told me one thing the first time and when I came back to have the job completed, they told me it was something else a little more expensive on top of the initial problem. I went ahead and had the initial issues fixed and when they called to have me pick up my car, they then stated that there is a bigger issue that will cost $1800! Did my research, the part is only $300-$400 and they said they can install it for $500. What is the extra $1000 for?!? Lastly, I had an oil change to conclude my horrible experience and usually they charge me $25 but now it s $35. I gave them two twenties and they couldn t give me change. Seriously?!? Be aware of this place! I don t believe they are honest.Services: Exhaust, Oil change

I've been dealing with Jr and his father for many many years now and they do fantastic work and always take care of me when I bring my car there! Very friendly and reasonable on their prices!! If you need great quality work, I highly! Highly recommend them!!

This place USE be the best place around for doing the job right with good prices.NOT guessing what's wrong!I did come it late. Like a hour before closing.Maybe that's why they tried to scare me away. And YES they did. I went elsewhere!

Lady's turn the other way. This business is ready to just take care money . I got a quote for my 2004 Toyota Corolla for front brake pads and sway bar link is $1200.00 I said how much and he repeated it. .I said nope do not have that kind of money. He looks at me like saying this bit__ did it fall for it . But there's more that will come in and I will take my chance to take all the extra money from lady's that so not know SO AVOID T I S BUSINESS .HServices: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

I love this place they have the most affordable pricing for oil changes, wheel alignments and tail lights, most things in general.They're quick, efficient and a pleasure to do business with them. This is the only place I go to for my quick fixes.

I was in the area really needed a oil change so I decided to stop... I was told that the wait going to be about an hour. Sooo I figure that I had time to spare, and decided to wait. I ended up having to wait 2 1/2 hours to have a 15 mins oil change perform. When the place closes at 5pm during the way Which I thought was just ridiculous... After I seen 3 people leave before me when they arrived after me, I approach the desk to all how much longer n if this is typical wait time for an oil change. I was inform that this is the typical wait time... Talk about frustrating.. I just decided to stay due to fact that I had been already waiting 2 hr.... My car didn't get pulled into the shop until 5:10 pm..I will not return, customer service was bad, the wait time was horrible, over experience was just ova the top

I have been going here for over 15 years. I have thrown a lot of business to this place. Now apparently they are doing so well they tell me every time they are too busy. I was told to go to their other shop. Took my vehicle there 4 times and was told each time they were too busy. I'm very very disappointed with this company. Wish I could give negative stars.

Very rude service .....the guy at the front desk was very nasty ....as if you were bothering him!!! You shouldn't treat people that way who's spending good money ....So since he didnt want to be bothered I took my business else where!!! I should've read the comment section before I entered the door. but I'm Happy that I followed my first mind. WALK OUT WITH YOUR$1,000 +

The only thing I don't like is that they don't do insurance companies. Can't be mad at them for that from what they are saying the insurance companies don't like to pay. Overall I received speedy service and a great price compared to the Valasquez I visited on 92nd and Stoney. They let me come in the back and actually look at what needed to be done oppose to just telling me. The worker was even kind enough to talk with my boyfriend on the phone with patients. I was able to take photos as well.

I can see why this place has such a low overall rating. I took my car here today to have a hood release fixed. They were unable to fix the issue AND whatever they attempted to do has made it even more difficult to open the hood. Hopefully I can find a shop that can fix this issue soon. This place may be okay for simple tasks like oil changes or muffler replacements. However, if you have a more detailed issue, don't take it here.

They replaced my daughters catalytic converter that was stolen off her Jeep the day before Christmas. They were quick and not expensive. I would recommend this company to get muffler work done.
