Don't bother going here if you do not need to. This auto-body shop took advantage of my service. I payed my deposit in full, my insurance paid they're end of the bargain as needed. My car was intended to be in the shop for 1 week, granted possibly a week in a half. Nobody worked on my car until nearly 1 month later, three weeks to be exact. It took for me to escalate the situation for anybody to take initiative to fix my vehicle. I called this shop on various occasions, not only did they ignore my calls. I had to make a new # just to get an answer. & they gave me the runaround after having all parts, and money in full, stating they had everything but just didn't know "when" id be able to pick my car up. In addition, they stated they found other issues on my car on top of what had already been paid which cost an additional $2,000 from my insurance just for me to get my car back to tell me my car was STILL not completed fixed. This should have been fixed if those issues were detected as stated to me. I am currently in the process of finding a more dependable car shop to FINISH fixing my vehicle. I am greatly disappointed.A complete waste of time. Communication is terrible. HIGHLY do not recommend. Go somewhere else.

Honestly this place is a joke been waiting on a estimate for a few days now an every time I asked about the estimate they say tomorrow or just don t reply back its a waste of my time definitely unprofessional I d advise you all not to even waste your time as well, there s other body shops around.

I am definitely pleased with the service that I have received. I brought my challenger in on April 29th 2019 and got it back May 22nd 2019. It would have been quicker because Arnie and his crew definitely means business!!! Guys this is a real.. honest review I m so happy that I changed from another auto body shop to this one because they were friendly, they let me know everything that was going on, they sent me pictures once the front bumper that was damaged from the front end accident was off, and they made it their business to get my car finished so that I didn t have to pay for me days in a rental car. These pictures tell it all. I didn t take any up close but I was able to take the pictures from my balcony. Now I m showing before and after pictures so you can see for yourself. They made my car look like it was never in an accident. EXCELLENT BODY SHOP 5 stars hands down

Martinez Auto Body provided excellent customer service and were very kind and considerate. After having my vehicle nearly totaled by an underage, unlicensed, uninsured driver - I was without my vehicle from January to August. I had THE most horrible experience with my-then second rate insurance company (American Alliance) who could care less about my claim, much less answer the customer service line. From the very first phone encounter with Martinez Auto in July, I began to feel like things were turning in my favor. Arnie and Eddie were so professional, pleasant and kind - and I really appreciated that. They kept me informed every step of the way, making sure I was updated on the progress of my car. Well, just when I thought things couldn t get much better than this, I got the call that my car was ready to be picked up. What a pleasant, pleasant surprise! The quality of work the guys completed was OUTSTANDING! I am beyond satisfied! I can t even tell there was ever an accident at all. Zero Stars!!!! My vehicle was dropped off November 8 2022 and picked up January 19th 2023. Arnie stated there was a delay on parts, which might be true. But after picking up my vehicle it had almost a extra 1000 miles on the odometer. I know this for a fact because Hyundai was doing oil consumption test on the car, and before I dropped it off I was under the mileage, but immediately after pick up i noticed I was about 900+ miles over when it should ve been taken back to the dealership. Didn t even communicate with the shop to avoid God knows what would ve happened , contacted my insurance company Kemper also known as Access Auto Insurance out of East Chicago Indiana. But Martinez Auto Body denied everything. Stay away from this shop, or at least take a picture of your mileage when you drop off your vehicle. Me personally I ll never do business with a company like these guys again. YOU VE ALL BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

IF YOU WANT A BODY SHOP THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND 24/7 then this is for you!!! My car been in this shop for almost 8 months every week he told us it will be ready instead of just giving the actual date. He was suppose to fix rear end damage but Gave me my car back the first time with nothing working in the car we brung it back and it took a whole mother month just so they can fixed what they messed up. Received the car back with my cameras all out of place ..deep scratches where they were suppose to fix my car. I should ve listened to the reviews because they will overload themselves with cars and spend 10 mins a week working on your car.Service: Body & Trim

I was hit by a driver with substandard insurance. Martinez Auto Body was the only Indiana company that will work with the insurance company. I met with Arnie. He showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and why. He showed me how the insurance company came up with their numbers. He pointed out what parts the insurance company was trying to get that were after market. My car is a lease so they would have to push for original parts, and gave me tips for how to present a car when the lease it up and I turn it back in. They showed me why they would need to subsidize the quote and they went to the insurance company for me to get the additional needed money. There was some waiting on the check from the insurance company, but they stayed on them.The turned around time from the date of drop off was literally as fast as they could with the stalls from the insurance company. The work is flawless. I can not tell the entire side was smashed. It drives really nice. I assume they did a realignment because it handles great. I was very impressed with the work quality and their dealing with the insurance company. My insurance would have had a $1000 deductible to subrogate, so it saved me that huge hassle. I am very impressed. Only complaint, and it is minor, they could have let know the specifics of the delays from the insurance company, but again that is a very minor complaint. Very happy. Strong recommend.

Arnie Martinez...Thank you my brotha for getting my whip back on the road with quality work and fast. Let me tell you about these guys. Their customer service was on point, quality and time of work was fantastic. This is the second time i have used these guys and this time was even better than the last. If and when, I need more body work, I will go right back to Arnie and the boys. I recommend this place to anyone who wants quality, affordable and timely work. Thank you Mr. Martinez

Work was okay. Not precise like there are still some gaps and unclipped parts . Responsive but I think they could use some realistic time lines. Quoted me 1 week when it actually took over 3. The parts that were used were not correct. The wrong socket was used for a headlight. I found out after taking to the dealer to have them check it out about a year later. The socket installed by Martinez was forced into place and electrical taped together. When I called they denied it. Your car may work but no garuntee it will be right.

They did such an amazing work replacing the engine in my 2008 Honda. And now, they are doing awesome work replacing the driver side door of my husband's 2013 Sonata. They are so friendly and so professional, they will even work with you financially. I absolutely love them, it would never go anywhere else for my auto body work!

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely HORRIBLE service and full of false promises. Our insurance forced this body shop on us for a wrecked car door. What was estimated to be a week's long repair eventually turned into several weeks with 3 different promised dates. Every time we showed up the car wasn't ready even though we were consistenly assured it would be. To "make up" for the inconvenience we were told they would cover the price of the car rental that was mounting. When we finally got the car the power window "worked" but was obviously sluggish and not properly on track. It just wasn't worth the hassel of waiting for it to be fixed from a garage that has obvious time management issues.Fast forward a year and a half later and we come to find out they NEVER paid for the car rental when we went to rent an emergency car! Horrible service, awful time management, and LIARS. Even without a car in their shop, they still found a way to infringe on our lives since unpaid bills affect credit scores. Do NOT use this shop.EDIT: Once you read the owner's response you'll see that they are indeed liars. We were told the ENTIRE rental would be covered. There was no mention of "3 days" during any interaction when our car was in their care or when we picked it up. Our car was in their garage for a month and they continued to lie and say they were working on it. As to communication, we called as soon as we left Enterprise after learning the rental was not covered and was told there's nothing the shop would do nor any record of a rental. Calling does nothing, they just lie and then try to paint their customers in a negative light. We weren't the first family to suffer and it seems like we won't be the last. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP

Long review disclaimer.... The nicest folk ever. Even during a time as this... the smiles laughter and great customer service is what I experienced. It took a bit longer than I expected to get my car back but... with Covid-19, back order on parts... and even some of the workers being affected by Covid.... I received my car back looking like new. Clean inside and out... The cosmetic surgery the paint job... A-1... however... my car was there so long that the battery died. I got my car back and it wouldn t start after I got it home. Arnie.... he had my car towed back (on their dime) to the shop and FIXED THE ISSUE! Therefore... they have a customer for life! Thanks y all! Me and Ms. Elan {Elantra}Tish

There should be a rating of - stars !!!They gave me an estimate to repair my car after an accident. . My insurance said I could take it anywhere to be repaired. I try to help out small businesses whenever possible so I let them repair it. What a mistake.....I now have a SUV with a third row seat that will not work. When I took it in for an estimate I told them I could not get half of the third row seat to come up. They told me they would include this in the estimate. Needless to say, I got the car back, and neither seat worked. When I called they told me that the seat that worked was ready to stop working anyway. They did tell me they would see if there was anything they could do, but that was over 2 weeks ago, I will never hear from them again. Now I also found out that when they took my grandson's car seat out fro the second row of seats they broke the seat belt. Now I will have to pay not only for the seats, but the belt also. So much for helping the little guy!!!

Martinez Auto body did the work on my daughter's car. I told Arnie, fix this car as if it was your daughters, and he did just that. He is the nicest most professional guy you could want to deal with. They did excellent work on her car , they also have a great warreny on their work. Very very satisfied with this body shops work and if I needed to, which I hope I don't, but if I do, I'll go back to see Arnie.

If you want professional body work done right yes it's going to take time but trust me the wait is well worth it. My car looked brand new after they were done with the Bodywork on it.Also customer service is on point.

I had a great experience at the shop! They answered all my questions and assisted with insurance issues. They even assisted with finding me parts at a cheaper rate when my insurance refused to pay! I d definitely go back for service and recommend them!

Martinez auto body is one place you want to go, when you need your car fixed, my insurance sent my car to them, however Mr Martinez was so polite, nice and very communicative, he did let me know what was happening at every stage, and they were fast about it as well, my car was fixed and it definitely looked brand new like it was. Thank you so much to Mr Martinez and his team..

Arnie from Martinez Auto body did an absolutely awesome job! From the beginning of my experience with getting my car hit, he has been so professional and friendly.He explained the process with insurance companies and I knew he was speaking truth.He made me fell like family. The way he communicates is great.The car..... the car..... the car looks awesome!!!!!!!!! Omg!!! It runs like new!!!!!!!..... omg I m begging my husband to trade cars with me... but of course he to is loving the job Arnie did as well and it is his car after all.Martinez auto body is definitely the place to go for collision crashes. The insurance... smh.. (shaking my head).. the insurance American access was horrible. They gave me the hardest time with a car rental. I m going on their site now to give them a horrible review. But Martinez auto body!... I m amazed!!. Yeeeeeeeessssss.. the have a customer for life. And don t go with the ONLY one bad review.. Go with all the MANY good reviews!!

My car was hit and the insurance company suggested this place. My very first encounter with them wasn't all that great, but I needed my car fixed. I was told to bring it in that Friday, so when I get there " Ohhhh my God". I was told I was supposed to get a call but he forgot. My bumper hadn't arrived. " Come back Monday and drop it off. We have all your other parts so it'll be ready Friday" I dropped the car off. Friday comes. " We need more time". They told me they found a lot more wrong with it than expected. I'm like cool. I was told it'll be ready Tuesday. I called Tuesday, "Oh man geez. I forgot to call you bro. I need more time with it. A lot is wrong." Now I'm pissed. " It'll be done the tomorrow". Next day comes. "I'm really sorry. We're trying to get it done." Each time we called we get " the owner will call you back". I end up call or my wife. I get so upset I was ready to pick my car up in whatever state it was in. Three weeks and I still don't have my car. I called the insurance company to complain and they had to get involved. I get text messages with pictures of my car. We're working on it. It doesn't take three weeks to do the work. I worked for Ford Motor Company. It was a a few days worth of work. Maybe a week. I would not EVER suggest this place to anyone. It's horrible service and no consideration for their customers.

Place is pretty clean. Not much on street parking cause of damage cars parked outside. They (ArnoId and his helper) tell a lot of endless stories about repairs. It will be started soon and so forth. They watch thier caller id like hawks to avoid customers.Service: PaintingService: Painting

ZERO STARS! This place is awful. I was towed there because my insurance company chose it. The day I was told to pick up my car (totaled out for age but working), no one was available to tow some non working vehicle that was blocking my working but damaged vehicle in. The next day I get another call saying that they need ANOTHER day, so I negotiated to where they said they would bring it to my house on Friday morning. I didn't get a call at all Friday. By the time I got off, they were closed. Monday I call and ask what happened, the front desk guy says he'll call me right back...2 hours later, I CALL BACK and and am met with an "Oh uh you gotta get it yourself..." No explanation, no apology when I arrived, just given my keys... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CONFUSED LIARS!!!!

My only complaint was told 2 to 3 days for repairs.16 days later I finally got it .Never called me to tell me why it was delayed I had to keep calling . So disappointed.

DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all if your trying to get your car fixed. Had my car fixed due to a hit n run and took them 2-3 months to get my car back. My insurance had paid for all costs when i took my vehicle in and to top it off they give me back my car with different lug nuts and a cracked windshield.Took my car back and they said that my " CAR " was already like that. Umm HELLO, my vehicle was obviously paid by my insurance to have everything fixed due to the accident!! Point is, its been about 1 yr 1/2 and i never heard from them again after calling and calling. Could of picked any other shop but i decided to help the hispanic community out and this is what i get in return. By the way im hispanic myself and i am DISAPPOINTED at this auto body shop

Moved from Hammond to Southside Chicago in 2016 but I continue to go to Martinez. I haven t been able to find a Body Shop in the city as good as Martinez. Just finished up some work on my Ford Raptor and it looks better than when I bought!
